04 Hey, you love them too? Sure, I'm to see why for you. Wake up America. It's time for the Adventures of pipe Man on w four CWY dot com. West Palm Beach is number one Internet radio station. Here's your host, the pipe Man. Serious designed losses of shuts, holding down, reminding of terms to this. It is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man w FORCY Radio. When I'm here with Patrick Stone and Sam bam Colton of Butterside Nice here at Welcome to Rockville. Yea to start my day like you're the first interview of Welcome to Rockville. So I think the way things are with me, it will probably be the best one.

19 Like I'm the one take wonder, so everyone after this is gonna be the retake. Yeah, well that's what we do. We're gonna We're kicking down the doors for you. We're popping a lot of cherries. This is my first Danny Wimmer festival ever, saying wow. Of course played here with Dorothy before, but Butterside's popping its cherry with Danny Wimmer today Welcome to Rockville Nice by Heart Radio. Nice. So, yeah, you've never done a Danny Wimmer festival. You're in for a treat. I am, I'm excited. Looks like it. I mean, so far, everybody's just so nice and like it's amazing to see this massive of an undertaking be so well organized. Oh yeah, I mean I do lots of festivals here, the UK, Europe. Danny Wimmer Festivals by are in the United States is the best run one, especially just everything the art, for the artists, for media, for the attendees. They just they know how to put on a festival.

12 I think that it's kind of modeled after European festivals, which are always known as like the best festivals. Yeah, we've done the Vacan Festival, which is yeah, again another massive undertaking, very well organized. Yeah, the festival is the best. Man. I'm just super excited, and we couldn't be you know, we couldn't be feeling more grateful than to be involved with such a great group of people. Danny Wimmer and all of his people are just so loving and kind and just awesome. We just can't wait to prove our worth to them today. I'm sure you were and will because you guys are badass and what's kind of cool. Let's talk about this theme song that you guys have because it's very appropriate for this festival. Yeah, Matt Pinfield and the Danny Wimmer started a podcast basically on his laptops. You know what was it a year and a half ago and it's come you know network TV show Now. Yeah, but they had me on to co host. They've had our songs on the Countdown constantly and they were crazy enough to ask us to record the theme song for them. So we went into the studio and we we came up with a really powerful track and they're they're using it and we couldn't be more excited about. Did that blow your mind when you got that request? Sam? Oh, totally. Yeah, it's awesome. Just watch it on TV and hearing the theme song, it's it's like, oh damn, that's awesome. It's really cool of them to ask us to do it, and we're stoked at it happened. Yeah. Isn't it cool that like every time that show comes on, you're hearing your music and you're like, wow, it's almost like surreal, right Yeah? Yeah, I mean you you know, you're you're giving little little pebbles to follow, you know,

45 throughout life, and you're just waiting for that next one to show you that you're on the right path. And that's a that's a big stone to step on, you know, no doubt, you know. Matt Penfield and Josh Burnstein and Katie Babs. It's just like these are these are people that not only do you want to know in the industry, but then once you do get to know him, you find out how wonderful and loving and kind and great friends they can become. That's just the icing on the cake. And then it's to be part of it a countdown show as the theme song is incredible. Oh yeah. And Katie Babs said of that song that if after thirty seconds you're not singing it, you're no fun. Right, that's a that's a pretty good testimonial right there. It's pretty true. We're gonna prove that today. We're gonna play that tonight or today on the on our stage. Nice we got Logan and Jeff joining us too. Oh, come on down, yeah, give them the mike, let them yell into it a little a little bit. I've said, we just want you to play, right, Yeah, that's what I like to do. There you go.

46 So, how does it feel for you guys to be here at Welcome to Rockville, a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to it. It's gonna be it's gonna be a cool day. Yes, yeah about Jeff, what's up, dude, what's up? What's up? Man? No, I'm still to be here. Are you kidding? Even the fact of like riding on the racetrack and everything, man, it's it's sick. It's huge. Yeah. Last night I texted my brother because every time I talk about festivals, he doesn't really care. But then I said, I'm driving on the Daytona Speedway right now, and he's like sending a pick. I mean, it is a kind of by conic. It is Wow. When you're out there, like driving on it, It's like, I can't believe I'm driving on the Daytona track. The size is surreal too. It does not do it justice. Man. It's so different than being in the stands looking at when you're on it, right, it's so wild. It sinks in right. You look at that and you think to yourself, I mean when I watched when I watched racing on TV, You're like they're just go rolling in a circle, and then you're right next to this thing that's practically vertical and you're like, right, oh, okay, that is pretty deaf, and I have a jeep, so that's kind of scary. Going up the embankment, I'm like, I'm gonna roll. So what else is going to be going on after Welcome to Rockville? What you guys? We've been compiling a lot of you know, footage, show, a lot of videos and singles we've been recording. So we're just going to keep, you know, relentlessly knocking you out with new material for the next few months. We've got a couple of singles all lined up and we're just like holding onto them tight, you know, not not to let them all out too quickly. But

17 we plan on finishing our record sometime towards the end of the summer, releasing that in the fall. Nice and we've got some pretty promising things coming up. Yeah, I love it. I love it. And So in this journey of music you guys have been on, is there like one moment in time that you're like, damn, this is what I need to do to rest of my life. Was there something that happened that you were like that happened to you? I think so for me it was really I was fourteen and I've had this opportunity with my first band to open an arena show in my hometown of Saint Louis, and that was kind of the moment where I was like, Okay, I have to do this for the rest of my life. That's my drug. Now, this is it. Yeah, you know, this is everything. So that's for me. It is kind of a drug too, especially going out and tour and stuff. Like some people that don't do it, they don't understand. They'll be like, you know, wouldn't you rather be at home. I'm like, no, I get home. It's kind of depressive. I got nothing to do. Yeah, there really is something special about the traveling circus and playing shows every night in a different city. Yeah, different people. It's really really and yet you have your family too, because it's like all your friends and people you know are doing the same thing and that's where you see them. So when you get home, they're not there, right yeah, right yeah, and then you're a slave to the city that you're in. Right, It's it's much better to be with your boys for me. I had that moment literally last week or a week maybe two weeks ago. I had that cool again.

46 I don't know how many times I've experienced that where I go, Yep, this is definitely what I want to be doing. But our rehearsal at a crappy little rehearsal hall, and I'm sitting there listening to our music thinking, God, it's never sounded this good before. Wow, Like I'm you know, am I finally in the band I've always wanted to be in. I I'm just super proud. So like again, I just can't wait to get on that stage and show everybody what we're all about today. I love what you just said too, because there's so many bands that, like, I don't know, sometimes the artists in the band they don't want be in the band, or you can tell they're unhappy or there's tension. So I always love when R says, band, this is the band I always wanted to be in. It's also kind of cool because I feel like we're all really good friends. Sometimes that's keys doing it, So we're all really good friends.

30 This is like our creative outlet. We all get a say in what happens and what we're doing and stuff, and it's pretty cool that's able to do it. That's definitely key because if you guys spend all this time, went thing you better like the person. I mean. Another cool thing is, you know, we've we've been through so much together as friends and as people, and when we go to write and record together, it's all you know, it's such a group effort that you know when we when we when Jeff counts us in a four count for that first song today, it's like it's something that we've all done together as a team, as a family. So it's it's just that much more important and special. Nice. How about you? What's your what's yours? One? All right? I get ready because it's any and every time I'm behind that drum, kid, it seems like today, Man, when you're sitting back there, you gotta take the three seconds to just kind of whether it's looking out, you got to take that deep breath. It is a shot of adrenaline that you cannot be you know. So I'm excited. I'm stoked for stoked to be here, Stoked to be a part of it. You know, I love it. Yeah.

28 Yeah, because even last night at the pre party, I was looking at one of the bands on stage and I looking the guy up there, I'm like, man, he's just fucking loving life right now, he's looking out and just like having the time of his life. If you find it, if you find that key that makes you happy, man, you just keep turning it. That's right. So how do we connect to you guys on socials on the web? Check out all your music by your merch because it's the only way band survived nowadays, all that good stuff. Butterside dot com has everything be you d D E R S I D E. If you spell it right, you will find it all and if not, you might like find slip into the dark web. I know, right, any final words you want to share with our listeners that we haven't covered that they need to know about Butterside, I don't even think I'm to edit that out.

20 That's like just perfect for the interview right there. If you are hearing of us for the first time, I recommend going to our YouTube channel or our Spotify's that's the best way to fall in love with us, because that's that's where the truth is. And I want to make a comment that I just noticed your necklace. They'll guitar pick coin that is badass, Like did you make it like that? Or did somebody make it like that? A friend of mine made it. All this stuff basically is stuff that friends have made nice. I just kind of keep collecting it from different friends. But this guitar our pick, it's a half dollar that somebody made into a pick.

03 Yeah, it's so cool. I put it around my neck maybe like five, six, seven years ago, I don't know, and it doesn't come off. I love it. See, I would me too. I would probably try to take it and like come up with a riff with it. Oh. I have tried to play with it, but it's a little difficult, right, Yeah, it's I mean there are they make metal guitar picks and certain guitar players use that, but it kind of wears the strings down really fast. There's a use for him, for sure, but not for me personally. I could see it. If it was me, I would probably popped the string in like two seconds with that. Yeah. More prone to breaking strings quicker, for sure, no doubt. Well, you guys rock You've got a rock Rockville for sure. And thanks for being here and thanks for being on the Adventures pipe Man. Thanks for having us.
