04 Hey, you love the too, sus. Sure, I'm come for see why for wake up of America. It's time for the Adventures. So Pipe Man on W four CWY dot com. West pom Beats is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures Pipe Mand w p C by Radio. And I'm here with Matt sims On and eys On from Brothers of Metal. Nice.

02 So you guys are brothers. Yeah, also we're not. But but it's fine. But you know what, it's a brotherhood. That's what metal is. Correct. Also, I've I talked to some pretty major bands like Juda's Priests. Turns out they don't have a priest. Yeah, there's no priests. Does Iron Maiden have a maiden? Not a single maiden? Oh my god, this is ridiculous. Yeah. I've never seen bring me the Horizon standing on the horizon either, never, But I'm getting my guess. They're still waiting for it. They probably are, right, Yeah, maybe they see the horizon when they're like partying and wishing for it, like right, they're like breaking over. Yeah, I love it. So here you are at Bloodstock? What you here? What was the road to get the bloodstock.

02 I have no idea like so too. Yes, we started a band and we started playing doing music, and here we are. I don't know, no, but you started as brothers and then you got rid of a brother brought her in, but you had to keep the name. Yeah. Obviously I actually joined the band before Mats did. So yeah say, okay, well then that theory went out the window. Also, I want to point out that I was in the band before it was a band, and I was a big part in writing the first song. But it wasn't a band. It was all the friends. Okay. Yeah, So I was trying to grasp onto that you were in the band before it was a band.

50 Yeah. Like so for people who don't know our backstory, where yes, friends and the original like we when we party, we do music as like spending time together making music. And to to make a song in one night while being drunk, you need to like set limits. So this one night we set the limit. L let's make a song that man Or would be proud of, and we started making Son of Odin and we did. We did it. Yeah, it was somewhat finished, but we all felt that we need something like a bridge or something, and then I think they took in you on another party and you sang in the bridge basically yeah, basically yeah. And we never I mean, there was never a plan to become a band. I think that's the confusion here because we didn't start a band. We just wrote music and had fun and then things starting happening.

58 I think that's the key though. That's what a band should be. Yeah. If you're starting a band for the business end of it or to make money, you're in the wrong industry. It's not having fun first and foremost. And we try to do that all the time now as well, even as we're like growing and actually doing the work, we still try to just connect with that all the time. And I you know, I understand because I do. I did something similar. I was doing podcasting before it was an actual word. I was, let's say, a thrash metal before thrash was actual word, you know. So it makes sense. And it's too bad you didn't know we were going to have face painting today. You wouldn't have had to go through the work. You could have had them do it for you. So we're very specific though. I love what you have done with your face. To me, it's like so detailed. I'm like that must be a great artist. Whoever did you? Did you do it yourself?

56 Yes? Because I real what do you calle pencil? Yeah? Yeah? Yeah, Still if I was doing it, it would have looked like take some practice, it does. Did you do his too? His own? He did a good job too. Most of us are doing our own. Guys are helping each other. But yeah, obviously you can see me now, but I looked like some kind of bandit from duck tails or whatever. I basically have a black line over my face. You know, whatshed out? You know what you look like today? And to me, Corey Taylor if he took his mask off, yeah, thank you big fan or Corey Taylor? Did you see this? Well? Sorry, sorry Tomas, You're gonna be in the interview for me hitting you a nice nice right?

54 That sported sleep not yep, my my daughter's bought that four me. The material is very very fast, you can yeah, yeah fast material? Is that like your music? Depending on the mood? That depending on the mood. See, I like that because why should artists be put in a box? And this is all you can play? You're an artist? You express yourself, whatever your mood is. That's what artistry should be. I think we're taking that to the limit. Like so since we're named Brothers and Metal, we we the name in the sense that we're allowed to do anything as long as it's it's metal. Like so on this upcoming album we have, I think it ranges from you know, like southern like Cissy Top, Molly Hatchett kind of rock to like Miss Show Gustyle not really my sugar advanced, but sugar heavy songs. So we're allowed to do whatever we want. Yeah, I love it. So it's like, you know, ma sugar version of Freebird. I think the common theme that we still stick to is the Norse mythology. That's that's like the stories that we tell. They're still bands over on this side of the world are so much better than the US because

25 like they have no imagination over there. Here you have so much history. We're only a couple of hundred years old. We don't have much to talk about. Yeah, but please you have like an open goal to make like an Native American band, like to handle Native Americans, like make a band called Sitting Bowl, and then you do everything that we do, just copy everything we do, but put it into that type of mythology, and he would have to be Native Americans because in our country right now, that wouldn't be allowed. We had to change a football team's name because they were called the Washington Redskins. Yeah yeah, but it's the same in Swite like so trigger warning. We used to call it Indians as you would, and now we call it Native Native Americans. But in Swedish so it's say so it's like, no, no, we we wouldn't be able to tell their story, right obviously, but what this is our heritage and we grew up with these kind of stories, so it's like close to home for us to tell these kind of stories. You want to hear a funny story about Sweden, go ahead, please. So I was married at the time and one of my best bros married a Swedish girl and so the marriage the marriage was in Sweden, about half an hour from the North Pole approximately, and the bride's parents were reindeer farmers. So Americans are idiots. And I'm going to tell

58 you why I love this. So at the time I was a vegetarian. My ex she ate meat. She's eating this meat at the reception I'm like, so is that good? She goes yeah. I'm like, how does it feel to eat Rudolff? She's like what you're talking about. I'm like, that's reindeer meat. Wait wait, well, like that's reindeer meat. She goes, get the fuck out here, there's no such thing as reindeer because we just think that's some fictitional, fictitional character. With Santa Claus, I'm like, no things, parents are reindeer farmers. You're eating reindeer, mate, you're eating Rudolf. And the look of horror on her face it was. It was priceless. To this day, it makes worth divorcing her.

54 You can imagine. I love reindeer meats. It's amazing. See, yeah, it's great, and yes, go with it. Either you eat every animal or you don't. Like I don't care. I like reindeer. Stop messing around wet Veni said, it's the same thing. We eat venus in the same thing. I've also played hockey on Bondi Court. That was a trip. Nice, Like, there were like ten hockey games going on. I'm like, holy shit, this is a big thing. You're from Florida, right, do you have Florida Panthers. Yeah, they suck.

37 No. I'm originally from New York and New Jersey and I was actually I coached hockey ice and roller and I went to season ticket holder for the New Jersey Devils, which is the hockey NHL Hockey. Yeah. I like Florida Panthers because they have a guy called Elip push Buddy. He's from where we are. I didn't know that, neither did she. Obviously I'm a sports guy obviously, So tell everybody they can reach out to you on socials on the web. Okay, you march all that. Yeah, so we you find us on Instagram Brothers of Metal Official, and I think we also have a Facebook called Brothers of Metal Official. That that's our socials basically Siblings of Metal on Twitter as well. Because yeah, mail address no no, please don't no, don't send any emails to us. Where's your where's your house?

48 So our email is contact dot as guard at gmail dot com. Also, you can reach reach out to us through our website. It's the Brothers of Metal dot net. Nice, they can find everything. Is there anything you want to let the listeners know that we haven't covered already? Keep your eyes open early next year for some new new stuff. We'll be starting in a month or two to release some pretty cool stuff. I love it, so keep it, keep your eyes open. I think you should do a promo just for the US people some free reindeer meat with every album they will have, not they'll think it's like some Christmas thing. I can tell you this much. We will release for our next album, we will be releasing a book set, and that book set is going to have some free to red stuff in it that probably not reindeer meats. There are some rules and loss in place to to to us from doing that. But otherwise like dried reindeer meats, like basically like beef jerkey, but better. And yeah, it's right that if you ever go to Scandinavian like reindeer meats, dried reindeer meat. It's so good. It's the best brand in the world. It's

20 the best brand in the world. I think it should change the name the Brothers of Reindeer Meat. Possibly, yes. Well, thanks for being here at Bloodstock. You guys rock and thanks for being on the Adventures of pinate Man. Thank you for having us, Thank you for listening to the Adventures of pate Man on w for Cui radio,
