04 Hey, you love them too? Sure four c Why you wake up America. It's time for the adventure. So pipe Man on W four cy dot com West Pong Beach is number one internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man copy sent to you. It's got a fucking list concept, Penny Kiss, some fee Flix, butterfly effects. This is how the world is. This is pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio and on here with Nico and Joel from Blind Channel. Nice right off the bat, before I forget, I never talk about genres. That's why I might forget. But I love how you named your own genre of violent pop so freaking cool. Yeah, we did that ten years ago when we started. It's still around. We find it very fitting, very describing.

19 And the reason I bring it up too is because it's so funny. Because listen, as you know, there's so many subgenres, microgenres out there. It's getting ridiculous that One of the things I've done throughout the years at festivals is I have bands during the interview make up their own genre that only they're in. Yeah yeah, and you did that before me, Yeah, yeah, definitely. Yeah, So tell us a little bit about you guys as artists and your music paint a picture for the listeners, not from a genre standpoint, from an artistic standpoint. We're just random six Jews from North and Finland trying to concrude the world our own jen Verticle, fil and pop and No. We've been around for ten years. We started in high school.

06 Right now we're in download, playing the big station M, touring in America and Europe and UK, so it's going pretty well. We want to be the Backstreet Boys of the metal scene. I love that. That's so cool. You know what's funny about that? In the States, when they're in the middle of sets, they'll play like the Backstreet Boys and it's the wildest thing. A hundred thousand metal heads singing every word. Awesome. Yeah, they do like everybody loves them, Like even the people who hate them, they love them right exactly. So what was it that sparked this interest to do this for the rest of your life? Lincoln Park? WHOA, that was a quick one. Yeah, we wouldn't even be friends without Lincoln Park. Like when we were in music high school. I have my rap posse. I was singing that with rappers. The guys had rock bands, we wouldn't even be friends. But then we have this party. Somebody put on some linkin park and it kind of united the rappers and the rockers and I started rapping and the guys were like, holy shit, which is putting up this new band? You want to come to the practice tomorrow? And I was like, yeah, yeah, let's do it nice. That was ten years ago. Okay, So here's a challenge. Do you remember what you were rapping at that time? And can you do it now? This one thing, I don't know why. It doesn't even matter how hard you try. Keep that in mind. I designed this rhyme to explain in due time is time. It's a valuable thing. I love it. That's great.

38 So how does it feel to be in a sweltering heat from where you're from? Do you even have heat like this? Ever? And like we Northerners, we have one weakness and it's called the sun. No, this is killing us. I know, right, How do you even perform in this? Ship? Man? I'm always an awe of artist. I can perform in this We are on the edge of heart attack all the time, no doubt. Yeah, Like we've used a lot of pyros it's we're used to, like when it's hot on stage, we're kind of used to that. That feels familiar. But like when it's when we're not on stage and you can't really find a place where to be, it's difficult. Yeah, did define the air conditioner? It's over there. You have to stand right in front of it. That's the only place you could be. Okay, maybe we'll go to that after, I know, right, So if music we're not an option, Now, what's your passion? I would be a captain of a ship. I love ships. I love the ocean. I would do something like that. We've been like some cool Viking ship or something.

39 Yeah, maybe Viking ship, Yeah, something like that, just cruising the oceans, like conquering the world in a different way. I love it. I play an NHL ah, that was my dream before the music really used at so. I coached my kid in ice hockey. I coached them in roller hockey. I play hockey, well, not as much anymore, but sometimes, but I can't like the two minutes. Is still hard to be out on the ice at this point. But it's my favorite sport. Surfing too, but there's not much surfing in Finland. There's I've actually played hockey on a Bondy court in Sweden. Nice. I was like, I can't believe how I've met you. We don't see this in America. I'm like, I can't believe how hugest is. There were like twenty hockey games going on at once. Yeah, yeah, yeah, So do you play that too, well, not that much, not that much anymore. And did you ever play Bondy I've never played. I just no, it's it's I don't even know what. I just know it's the same as a hockey rank but huge, like the size of a football field, you know, type of thing. So what where are you gonna be in America? Because I'm in America. Yeah, we have a plan. We want to come back to the States this year, which just led a tory there with Lacuna Coil, which is did the West Coast. Then we have lots of plans for all the end of the year, after the after the festival season is

10 over and we've recorded our new album, we want to come back to the States. So we're gonna be there this year again where we'll hit you up when we come there. Yeah, you'll have to hit like the Danny Wimmer festivals because like everybody plays us a sort of the biggest in the States. Lacuna Coil plays them all the time. Yeah yeah, how was it going out with them? Because they are so I love them. Christina is like the coolest person and they're all cool people. It was a great story. It was so much fun. Two weeks we still get a great story. We got to go to many places. It was mainly like West Coast with a lot of cool places. The show in LA and the Blasco was sold out one thousand and five hundred people. I'm it's still stuck in my mind. How good it was. Wow. We also like in Maryga very much like we've been there. That was the second tour, last around Christmas.

57 Just before Christmas, we did a three week songwriting trip to LA And before that we did our first tour in the States with from Ashest New and that was seven weeks. So we really got like when we went all around, I think we played in thirty different states. So first touch in America was pretty good. You went, like, my state, it's Florida. It's like this every day. Yeah yeah yeah, the weather, oh my god, you would die. Yeah. But in Florida. I remember the feeling. We played a couple of shows there and the feeling was that there's music every everybody's like people are always partying Florida's party places for So, what else you got going on after this? A new music coming out? Anything?

39 You want to talk about a lot of festivals. We're gonna play a lot of Maze Station this summer, like Crass Bob on Him Resurrection Festival. Then we play with slip Knot one show supportable from a Valentine. We have a lot of shows in Europe. Oh cool, look at that fucking hoodie. That's amazing. Yeah, yeah, love it. That's amazing. So I'm showing them the slip Knot hoodie that my daughter's bought me, and it's I think it's one of a kind. Nobody's ever seen it, Like, wow, that's really Alicia Taylor, who's with the Cherry Bombs that played here download and as Corey's wife. She it was on the chair and I had her sit down on purpose. It just happened to be, Oh, you're gonna make me sit on the Slipknot chair, And then I showed her to hoodie and she's like, oh my God, I've never seen anything like that.

28 And so tell everybody, your socials, your web how to buy merch because it's the only way bands survive nowadays. All that good stuff you can find us blind Channel on pretty much every social media. Yeah, just Google Blind Channel. We're about to be everywhere and Instagram, TikTok Facebook. Do we still use Facebook? Yeah quite a while. We're wading a Spotify check out ours music if you like it, come to the shows, come say hi. Nice so speak at a Grasspop Okay, So I normally cover hell Fest. I haven't ever been the Grasspop. They're the same weekend. I was considering maybe next here, maybe I'll cover Grasspop. Have either of you either of you ever played there or attended at Grasspop? No, no, it's gonna be the first time. Oh see how I wanted to get the inside scoop on it. But now everybody's got to go to Grasspup and see you guys if they're not here at download for sure. Yeah, yeah we heard it's a good festival. Oh yeah, I heard it's a good festival too.

31 There's no bad festivals here and buy opinion. You're like, we know in America that Europe and the UK is the the kings of festivals. Yeah, and it's true while we're here at Download twentieth anniversary, Like, does that blow your mind? Like, listen, it's not like they just put together a lineup. They handpicked you know, it's twentieth anniversary. You have to and pick a line up and they hand picked you guys. Does that blow your mind? Yeah? And a first and the first time for us, right, first time in download. That says how badass you guys are. It's a good year to lose your download virginity. Absolutely, and you're doing it. Yeah, you know, not good day. It's hot.

18 They should have brought more Finland weather here, but you're gonna kick ass here at download. They brought the wolves, you know, so anything else we want to tell the listeners about that we haven't touched on yet. Check us out. Those who already heard of us, thank you so much. Keep doing what you're doing. We love you. Check us out. See you at the shows. Well go ahead, well dad, see then. Also for other people in USA or coming back, and we love you.
