04 Hey, you have done to censure? See Wow, where you young? Why become America. It's time for the Adventures of White Man on W four C why dot Com. West Palm Beach is number one Internet radio station. Here's your host, the White Man.

48 Another sun, another place, always in some the same way. We're always starting something. This is the White Man here on the Adventures by Man W four C Y Radio. And I'm here with. Sean from Blaming My Youth and Mike. Just Mike, just Mike. He's just Mike, but he's not from Mike's Dead who is also playing here? I need a photo of their green room is right next to ours. I need a photo of their sign on their green room and frame that in my house. Mike's dead, Mike's dead. This is Mike's dead inside. There we go. That's it. So welcome to Louder than Life again. Yes, here we go.

28 So it's so funny. We were talking and before the interview we both recognized each other. Yes, didn't though from where and turns out from Louder than Life. In the whirlwind of it all. Yes, it was just a few years ago. But I'm like I had Daja who I'm like Man I know this guy, but we just yeah, we did this, we did this. We're so funny. Time is crazy, So how. Is it this year? It's awesome. Yeah, we've been honestly. We had a tour with this man, kid Kapechi in the middle. Of the middle of the year. I've interviewed that. We love that band, and we let like Mike over here like became friends with them via socials and then they had a tour and they're like, I don't know if you reached out or somebody reached out. They're like, you guys want to open it up, and they were like popping off in the UK. So they had the tour in the middle of the year and it was like a month long and then it went away. They like, we don't really know the reason, but it like last minute it went away. We had a song going to radio, so we just did like the radio circuit radio tour, which I ended up loving, and it's like it's kind of like you just have like they played three songs.

29 There's like forty people there and it's like it's like I was a bartender for ten years, so it's like bulking to my bar le's hang out. Nice. Oh, there's no drinks, so but it was. It was really really fun. And then we're working on an album right now. Oh that's cool, yeah, tell us about the album we are. So when I started the band, we wrote a song called Fantastic. And before that, I saw two movies Train Spotting and Big Lebowski. And then the next day I'm like, man, I want to write big Lebowski Rock. I don't know what that is, and like did a lot of drinking while I was watching No What White Russians, but a lot of drinking when I was watching those movies. And then I woke up and the first thing on the edge of the bed was that song Fantastic came out. I'm like, oh, big Leboski Rock is born. And so we had that and a bunch we did. We did a bunch of songs in that vein, and then in November of this last year, everything kind of changed, or like October, I went to Nashville to record like a bunch of songs we already like wrote.

21 I was with the producer Joey. In Nashville, and I walk in and normally like it's like riding a bronco when we're like hanging out writing music. I walk in the He's like on a zoom and he just puts his hand up and he's like like, don't come in here, and I'm like, oh, okay, So I just pick up a guitar, go to another room. I start messing around. With a song because like meanwhile in La I'm writing songs for other people, and I write this like what I thought was really poppy, like saw like. She keeps me wide awake. They ended up being The Break. But like I walked back in the studio and Joey's like super like just down. I'm like, what's going on. He's scrolling and I'm like, dude, Like he wasn't like answering anything. And I start like playing the song, just like break the Ice, and he looks up. He goes, that's very good. Keep playing and then he starts throwing out lyrics. And we wrote the song The Break very fast, and I wasn't sure what it was. I'm like, this is not what I intended this band. This is not big Lebowski rock. And then I went to get a beer in the studio and there was wine glasses, so I got a wine glass, poured a beer from the keg and I looked at him like, oh, beer in a wine glass is born.

23 Nice. I went from big Leboski rock to beer in a wine glass, and we're going back to big Lebowski rock. Nice. And you know what's funny? You mentioned the white Russian. Yeah, and the interview before you was orgy. Yeah, they kept busting on when our band members about drinking white Russians. Oh my god, So like, when does that happen twice? That's really insane that somebody actually drinks those like I. Think you're good frequently. Yeah, you like him? I like a white Russian. Yeah, but the white Russians are so far from Tiki. But I like a white Russian. I don't mind. But I can't imagine, like, imagine drinking a white Russian at a festival. It doesn't work, I don't think. So I hate coffee anyway, so I wouldn't do a white Russian.

03 You hate coffee? Yeah, I'm one of those rare people. But also I sleep like average two to four hours a night, no alarm clock ever, and and I wake up and I'll need ship. You sleep a combined one hundred hours a year, right. Exactly exactly. And if I sleep too much. I'm tired. It's like that's crazy. But I wake up like ready to go. I wake up like here we go again another day, like after four hours. But I'm used to it. And then I have coffee, and then I have coffee. Well there you get the miracle licks her and I'm like, oh, everything's awesome. See that's the problem with coffee, because see I don't drink coffee, so that doesn't happen to me. It's I think, personally, caffeine is the most evil drug besides ventanol and that bullshit.

54 But besides all those that kill you, yes. Okay, but of the socially acceptable ones. Okay, because listen, there's a reason why they took cocaine out of Coca Cola and put caffeine in because they couldn't use cocaine. So what's the next best step. Let's put caffeine in you. I remember in college too, taking notes. I'm like, fuck, I remember that again. I'll never ever do that. I've never taken a not I'm scared of that. Ship. Oh my god, I'll tell you the greatest drugs. I should have done cocaine instead of notoes to do my finals to. The greatest drug on earth. Mushrooms. Well, you know what's cool about mushrooms are organic, It's not the man made bullshit. Even pot nowadays it's man made. Okay, that's the one thing. Okay, the legalization of marijuana has ruined marijuana, I think because now you get the government involved and big farm involved to make it fucking stronger, harder, and not what God gave me.

59 I hear it, ude, I got. We're supposed to be smoking that stuff with tinfoil in the schwag, Dude, like I remember, I remember getting I don't know what was in there. So like when I when we bought our ace back in the day, I feel like I said, yeah. You're gonna laugh. Okay, you're gonna laugh smoking. Yeah, we used to smoking on of a red Bull. Kid. First time I ever smoked weed was out of a corn cob pipe though. Oh that's I've smoked out of a he got apple, he got big wings, make a pipe out of an apple. But you're gonna laugh at this based on what you just said. Now, recently, we actually had a pretty bad tragedy in my family, real recent having to do with that ventanyl bullshit. And so for me, to cope with all this shit going on, I had to smoke. I didn't have a pipe. I said to my son, who's almost forty, I'm like, do you have a tinfoil Oh?

52 And I may. Literally last week I made a tinfoil pipe. Oh myke And there's got is it legal here? Like? No? Oh? Really? I think medicinal that's insane, which that always okay? So that blows my now, I don't know. It just blows my mind, the medicinal marijuana, because not because it does have medicinal properties, but it's all a bunch of bullshit. So the government can collect money because you. Got in Florida money, they have it. You go to the doctor, you pay four hundred dollars to a doctor. Then you have to pay feeds to the state, and you can say I stubbed my toe, okay, And then they give you these limits. Okay. So I can have as many edibles as I want per month, I can have as many tinctures as I want per month.

45 I can have as much wax resin. And I don't do any of that. I hate all that shit. Okay. The flower I can get and stupid it's called flower. But anyway, two ounces a month. That ship would last me a fucking year. Okay, Yeah that's like yeah, I was gonna say that's two a month. Like that's like giving somebody two hundred ventanyls a month. Okay, Like what the fuck? Yeah, Like that's big farm of getting involved in. My shirt for sure. That's why. That's why, man, the mushroom thing is awesome. Like up North, I have I have no a friend who has a friend that grows him and I literally, like with my coffee, he gives me a bag of straight up mushrooms. I just take a bite. I don't even know what I'm how much I'm taking. I take a bite every day, little tiny nibble, have some coffee.

33 Incredible and like, honestly, it puts a little glitter on your day. I don't know like any of the science behind it. But they've been studying it for twenty years. I don't know exactly what their findings. But say that helps with depression. Let me tell you, I've been done with hallucina and jenksonce. I'm twenty one. So you don't that you don't sleep you don't sleep really good, right, So. I don't know that it's not sleep good it's just I don't require it. And I, ah, I'm a fomo person. Ah yeah, so you're rain is just yeah, I love that. But so I was like like level five, level ten insomnia in twenty twenty one, I like spent money on therapy, therapy, therapists, ambient everything.

14 I was like. Taking that ambience evil. Yeah, but it doesn't it stopped. It just didn't work. It works like a week. That's the reason it's evil because what they've done is they give you stuff that you need to have more and more and more. Dude, I'll say this. My friend Nick, like I was showing I'm like writing songs in La and I'm showing up to these sessions and I like was like white as a ghost and just like and my friends kind of could see me, like I'm losing weight, Like what's going on. I'm like, I'm not sleeping. It's really bad. I don't know. I cannot. I go to bed, I sleep for two hours, I wake up the rest of the day. And I've been doing this for like a week, and I don't know what to do. My friend, uh, he knew a guy who knew a guy got some mushrooms up up North and brought him down. He's like, just try this For one week. I started microdosing and like I was just biting it like a savage. But you could do like what with like point one milligrams?

59 You could do that. That's you're supposed to take like three or three days on two days off. I start doing it every day, just a little bix. I was desperate and I did that was a cure all for insomnia. That's crazy. It's amazing. It's like I don't know because it's been so long, like hallucin and gen x now, like they they worry me because I don't know if I could handle it type of thing, Like you don't know after not doing it for so long. And then I think of back in the day, So I'm thinking, when do I have eight hours in a day to do nothing? Yeah, well that's why microdosing. Yeah, so I don't even know what that's little bit. That's why I don't like edibles too. Like I talked to friends that take edibles and it's like, but.

43 These people are trying to get messed up. Yeah, they're like if that's fine, smoke. It's like taking a drink a glass of wine. I take a hit or two. It just makes me a normal person. Rush, I'm not high. You can't tell I was married for my wife never knew unless I told her. It was just a very similar It was just. Like fucking slowed me down to relax. Oh there's two things in life that I use for relaxing. That and video games. Oh what are you playing? Well? My favorite thing to play nowadays is Madden Football and NHL Hockey. I love it because all the other games, I'll tell you why I like them. Besides they're just great games. All the other games I figure out very easily.

30 Like I solved Super Mario Brothers in one night. Okay you did. Yeah, I've still never beaten that game. Fucking bo haven't. I kicked Bowser's ass, so I can. Brothers. I could take Madden Football, and what I do is I manipulated to where I played the absolute worst team and let the computer be the absolute best team. And then it's a challenge to me crazy. I never used cheat codes on games. I don't want to know the cheek codes. But I would figure out patterns. Back in the day, I would figure out the patterns of Space Invaders and missile command and asteroids, the. Old school shit. That's wild. This is a pattern.

12 I love this. This is all Yeah, you're speaking my language. They like. And once you figure out those patterns, it becomes boring because you just know exactly what to do with type of thing. I here's a funny story you'll love. First time I was ever at in Las Vegas. I was twelve years old. My dad gave me some money for the arcade. We were at circus Circuits and he went to gamble me. I decided to put that money in my pocket and rigged all the arcade games, which I knew how to do, okay, so I could play them for free. And then I walked out in the casino and took the money and I was gambling on the slot machines. We wanted to go to Vegas together.

53 Wait and then if you win, like if you're winning a lot of money, oh you're fucked. Yeah you were Papa Georgio, like Papa Georgia, Nick. Pop a Georgia from you Arizona. Yeah, he wan, he won a bunch of money. He got away with it somehow. I forget how that movie goes. That's funny. Yeah, I mean it's like I back in the day. That's they It was people like me. Why they change the slots You put the quarters in to the red plastic thing, dude, because I used to tape a quarter to a string and drop it down that metal thing and rack up like ninety nine. You can pull it back up. Yeah, I would just no way, rack up ninety nine games.

34 I'd play like five, and then the middle schooler behind me, I'd say, Hey, you want to buy ninety five games for five bucks? No way? And you, dude, you should go to I mean, if you're good at this, you should be a card counter. Yeah, rom is. I'm also a fucking gambler, So so I know the right thing to do and don't do it the fever takes over. Yeah, my ex wife to tell you used to notice it. She could tell, like the minute I walk into a casino, which means the festivals I do in Vegas, like punk rock Bowls. Those ones and other ones. It's like I got walked through the casino to get to a festival. Wait, but there's no gambling anymore. Are you like a recovering No?

17 No, I still gamble, but I'm not that bad anymore. I was never a gambler that jeopardized my family. But I did. I put the money in my pocket. I was willing to lose and leave everything else home because if I'm. Not that good, I'm not that good. But close like. That before we we toured a band before this band, and we would if we saw a casino in the van, we would park and we would leave our walt we would take cash in and leave our wallets in the van and we'd go play black and then and then you're out in an hour. Well, what I did one a couple of times is I was going on a trip whip with my wife and kids, and on the way home, we had to pass Atlantic City to get home, and I'm like, let's pull over here, you're wait in the car. I'll be right out.

05 Oh my god. I would go in and play for like ten minutes, and she would wait there. She would because I would only do it like ten minutes. Yeah, you can't keep her waiting too long? No, No, would that's actually good. Yeah, that's a good little but. I even Okay, so I'm married. I was married twice, both of them. I used gambling as a determination of whether I should marry them. Okay, wife roulette. So the first one was. This, Okay, I used to be pretty big in the financial business, like the Wolf of Wall Street. I know him personally. It was my company. I had that thought a second when I was talking about the card counting. So I would gamble with people's money all day long, and then I would go to ac and gamble with my own many or what I would do. At the time I was in Florida, they used to have these cruises to Nowhere, gambling cruises. I'd go out with my dad, like three nights a week. And I met my first wife, and the first night I took her out on there, it was raining. In a half an hour, I lost nine hundred bucks and I took her up on the top deck and I asked her to marry me. Oh my god, gambler, you lose money something that has to make you feel better.

19 And I literally had no plan on that happening. But then I realized that it's kind Yeah. So the second wife, what I realized is anybody else I meet now they in order for me to stay in a relationship with him, I have to win. The first time I did take him to casino because the other one didn't work out too well, So I. Should have listened Trial by Fire dude. So the second wife, we go to the casino and she's rolling the dice at the crap table and I went, like, twenty five hundred and five minutes, three months later, we're married. You just look over you like, will you marry me? Exactly? Say exactly, But I do like there's a transformation as soon as I walk in the casino, like I'm high.

06 Okay, my eyes bug out. Maybe this is what you're you might be born to be this. I'm telling you. I get the chills and like I get the fever. I totally get the fever. And I have two different gambling personalities, my blackjack one and my craps one. I also played Bakara, but that personality is more like blackjack. Blackjack. Don't fucking talk to me. My dad was like that, really like the table. Like a lot of times the tables like go and go and talk and talking. They're like, yeah, no, don't fucking talk to me. And don't make the wrong fucking move with the car. Oh you would had it dictated moves fifteen. I'm playing the hook, so you don't fuck me. You've hit a fifteen, sixteen seventeen, Like, yeah, you don't just.

47 Double down when it's time split the right times? What Like, I got a couple, I don't even think about, no emotion, no think about just dictated moves, Craps table. That's the real be personality, that's the party. Hyper and Alex say, so I know how to win in Crabs, and I don't play that way because it's not fun. If you play Crabs for twenty four hours and only play the don't pass and nothing else, you will win because the house always wins. You're playing with the house. Yes, okay, you're just not gonna win. You're just not gonna win massive. Right, and you're not gonna be liked by anybody.

29 Yeah okay, yeah, but that's what that's there's something the end crowd, but that there's. Something about like everybody winning together that. Makes craps so alluring. Exactly, winning together, you're beating the house. Everybody. When you beat the house, it's yeah, before I don't. Want to cheer against people, Okay, so. When nobody does this movie, So when I win, I just like. If I do play that way, which sometimes I do, I just like put it away real quick. I don't want anybody to know this. Yeah, blackjack too. There's some guys got pockets full of chips when he's walking around. Dude. Yeah, there's a strategy and blackchack I've never fully done. But if you play blackjack for twenty four hours and you do what's called a three time parlay, you gotta be ballsy. Okay, well basically me you will win, basically because then you take the edge away from the house.

15 So three time parlay is you win your first bet, stack it back up, win the second bet, stack it back up, third bet, stack it back up. Now you have to lose eight times. If you win that one, you have to lose eight times before you're back to man. That's how I didn't realize I was doing that move when I first wanted a blackjack. It's the mat I sat down with forty dollars to my name in Windsor. You'd be nineteen to drink and gamble. I grew up in Chicago, so we went to Windsor when we all turned nineteen. I sat down with forty bucks, and I like, put it right away. I put it all all down. I won, I put it all down again. I won again. I put it all again. I did like five parlays and I won like five times in a row, and the person's like, leave, I had like one thousand bucks.

57 Yeah, six thirty times parlay. You pull it back down to your original bets. So you lose eight hams in a row to get back to even That's how you get the hedge edge on the house. Yeah, I guess that's you're more than. Likely knocked and lose eight ams. In a row. I'm like a caveman gambler. We had some gambling last night. We did some gambling at a dive bar over here. We played we played dice and they had the little horse racing game. Really have you seen the horse racing game where it's like here, it's like, uh, it's plastic, plastic and the little belts vibrate. It was so fun and uh yeah, we were just playing for some ones and we played a bunch of dice and it was correct. How about this? Did you know that there's uh near here and a lot of the some in the band sometimes will go there.

43 There's a retro bar arcade here. It's really cool. This guy loves that stuff. Yeah, that's all me because I rarely drink, so you guys could drink. I'll be at the video game. Are you going to night? Maybe? May we go? Yeah, let's do it. Is there is there gambling involved? If we can gamble in the video games. I don't think that's gambling except between two people. Yeah, yeah, we could do that. You know, I'll bet you a hundred bucks. I get higher than and Mario than you do first time out the Gate. It's been a while since I played that one. Yeah, me too. And then it's like like I'll play games like Galaga and I'll be with some of am like there, just take the game over. I'm bored.

24 Yeah, it's like, okay, I've read, but what was I say that the I'm not into horse race gambling. Yeah, I'm only really into casino gambling because it's the fun, it's the action. Sports gambling is pretty awesome. DraftKings is pretty awesome. Makes every Sunday amazing for me. Like in Florida that you said high Live which is fixed. So I'm not that kind of degenerate gambler that plays and something fixed that I know it's gonna lose. Yeah, I just know. I like making my bank deposit at the casino. It's the bank. You make deposits and you don't make any withdrawals. Once in a while they let you withdraw some money just to keep you depositing.

05 Praise man. And what hits me worse is when I win right away. Because like, fuck that God, that's always the best. Well, no, you know why it's bad for me. Like when I lived in Jersey, I would drive like an hour hour and a half to a lank city. Yeah, within ten minutes, I'm up like a couple grand. That's when you're supposed to leave. Yep, you don't do you don't. I drove here an hour, an hour and a half. I'm not fucking lead. You came for the experience, and then you give. It all back. This is what would happen all the time. I'd give it all back, and then I'd go to the losing side, and then I would sit at a table for like twelve hours till I got back to even then go home.

47 Dang what I do. If I win two thousand dollars, I take that. If I go to blackjack, I win two thousand bucks, I take it away, and I find the wheel of forging machine and I put like six to seven hundred dollars to one thousand to like eleven hundred to like eighteen hundred to like two thousand. I put it all. I put it all in Wheel fourtune because I want to win. I want to win that checkpot and it's never worked. No, that doesn't work. I need to find a new mess. That's a scam game that I don't play. Oh it's so from the Jersey Shore. So that wheel game, I'm like, oh, that's just like being. At the dude, it's so fun. See I've gotten like like an eighth of an inch away from jackpots so many times rigged, I know, but that the endorphins. Oh yeah, oh my god.

28 The most fun I ever had though gambling was in Vegas. After I had already lost all my money, I went to one of the casinos that add the twenty five cent craps. I couldn't give the money away, Like I was playing all night and playing twenty five cents. It's just hard to fucking lose. Yeah, Whereas when you're playing real money, the loss. That you do, it doesn't sting when you're losing. And then you just and you have more balls. Yeah, like many. Except that goes in your head and you're like scared to put the bet down and you don't, and then it comes up and you're like, fuck, yeah, twenty five cents.

09 It's like here, just put it all over the table. Yeah, I don't care where it goes. Yeah. And then there were so many bets on there that they just kept giving me money and I could, I kept trying to give it back and it wouldn't most fun I ever had because there was no stress. Because when you it's great when you're winning. When you're losing, it's a fucked feeling, which is. Why you I think I tricked myself into feeling great when I'm losing, so I just keep losing till I win. I used to. I used to be so bad that I would drive home from a lank city and throw pennies in the toll booth and drive through fast to try to fool the toll booth on the way home. Nless you lock because I didn't have any other money but pennies. Oh my god, and you gotta pretend that least that you're paying the toll or you're getting pulled over.

01 You just remind me this time when I had no money. This is like cut off topic. And I really wanted what's the pretzel with the little center? The combos? I wanted combos and rolls. Gold was like twenty cents cheaper and I had to do that instead. And then there was like a dollar string cheese and my friend got that. I got a couple of nibbles of string cheese. I made my own. I don't know why that story just came to me, but yeah, I think I lost all my I didn't have any money, so yeah, I made my own combos. So your hat it almost from here with my sunglasses on, it looks like it says Malaalica.

41 It is a Metallica bootleg hat. It's a redneck hat, so it definitely and it does have You're right, I have. I have those T shirts. I have stickers of my everything I own is covered in this Metallica Marlboro logo. I have like four shirts of this. That's so funny, man, Oh my god, I was looking at the whole time. I'm like, from here because I have the sunglasses. The tea looks like an al so I'm like Malalica. It looks like Malala. Last time we played this festival, Metallica was headlining that night. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we got to see that. It was pretty cool. Did you show him? Did you show Papa hat your hat?

22 I didn't have this hat then, Unfortunately, I wonder. I think he'd like it, though. Don't show it to Lars. He wouldn't like it. He'd probably see you. Lars is my He's I love Lars. Lars is a big deal to me. You know what. I don't know why so many people give him so much shade, because, you know what, they all say, it's a shitty drummer. But meanwhile, they're the biggest metal band ever in history, So you. Know, he's got his own thing going on, that's for sure. And he sounds great on all the Black Black album and earlier. Yeah, so based on that, that was yeah. Yeah, I'm a big Lars man. I was at Metallica's first show ever and slayers first show ever.

06 Wow. Any Way, So I was at the Metallica show. There were like twenty five of us there for the show, and this dude comes up to me after the show starts talking to me. Hands me is business card. I'm fucking I don't know thirteen or something. Hands me is business card. It's it was white with blue writing. It said Metallica power Metal because there was no thrash yet, right, Dave Mustain, No, that's so. Do you still have that? Like? No, starting, I am thinking I threw it in the garbage or some shit afterwards. Wow, I wish I did, because I'd walk up.

48 I'd love to do an interview with Dave and pull it out of my pocket. That's really cool. Yeah, do you remember handing me this? Yeah, that's awesome. And then I went to like five hundred Slayer shows. I was even eighteen, Like I went to her first show ever. I was hooked. That's amazing. Like I only saw I saw Slayer one time, and it was oz Fest in like two thousand and one or something. And that was also the first time I saw slip Knot was the same show or two thousand and three something like that. That's what I'm pumped for tonight. I love Slipknot. I saw a Sligher on Sunday. I can't wait for tomorrow night. Except this fucking storm. They better not get rained out. Rain and blood, rain and blood, like you know what that if it does happen, switch them this Saturday Night and boot Motley because I want Slayer more. I saw Motley before they had an album. Wow, and they were much better, Like they were horror punk. They weren't glam yet.

44 Yeah. Yeah, And I did you say, hang out with Nick Barrs at the mall like we're moule reds together, me, him and Chris Holmes from. Wast It's wild. Yeah, back in those days. That's pretty sick. Like I got a lot of stories from those eighties Sunset Strip days. But you know what they say, you're at the Sunset Strip in the eighties and you remember it, you weren't there, like I think about I was hanging out with Ron, Jeremy and Lemmy at the rain We saw. We saw. We saw both of them at the Rainbow at fifteen. Oh my god. And I'm like, I go look now, and I'm like, how did I ever get because I'm watched they card me. Now, I'm like, how did I ever get in this place? Oh? That's right. I was wanting different times. I was walking over with Motley Crewe now like crazy, You're walking over with the bands and go in and it was a different time.

31 That is a different time, you know. I was at that party when Vince left with right. Now, they shut down the whole bar. If that happens, yeah, three days later they find out, they're like, you're done. Yeah exactly, but yeah, iconic times that will probably never live again. No, but now we got you guys. Yeah, and we got the after We're the after party. Yeah, there you go. You're the after after after after after, after after party. We'll take it. Forty years later, we'll take it. So now, what are you gonna do after? We played Nashville tomorrow and then we play Johnson City the next day, and then we're off for a week. Now we do We're actually doing after Shock. Ye are are you there? I'm there? He after shot, Dude, Sacramento is one of our best markets for some reason.

15 We played after Shock same year we did this right and Misfits played r We opened the stage. They were headlining. Yes, dude, we saw like Gary, only like they We saw them without any of the makeup or any of the get up, and they were just like sound checking. It was Danzig wasn't there, but it was awesome, dude. Nice yep. And then I'm sure Danzick and Jerry don't get along still. But dude, I think my my our bass player, Julio and I we were watching like pretty much not side stage because I don't think they allowed anybody. We were side stage and during the set, like you know how, Like I think Gary is the one who smashed his guitar. Jerry, Sorry, geez, Jerry only. Yeah, I had a. Couple of trinks, I corrected him subtly. Yeah, sorry, Jerry, only Jerry, Gary, It's all the same thing. No, But so he like smashed the guitar and he throws it out to the crowd. But he threw it and it went to the barricade and like fell like literally close to us, but none of us had the guts to go.

08 And run and grab it. We should have done it. I'm told that, dude that we should have done it. Let me tell you a story. I was at a show with my son and was godsmack. We were like four throw I was standing up on a chair and the sampithero is at it was folding chairs. So I'm standing on the chair and he throws the drumstick out. It pegs me straight on in the forehead, knocks me on my ass because it's one of those folding chairs fell over. Everybody pounced on me. Motherfuckers. I'm old school, from the old pitts. Man. I came up from under the heap with the drumstick in my hand, and my son looked at me and goes, you're fucking.

01 Crazy, Oh my god. Yes, with a big well on my forehead. Hell. Yes. And there's a lot more stories like that. For sure. Man, more stories, of course. I mean that's why. Okay, So people that do press at these festivals, if they're not metal heads or punks, I don't know why they're here because in order to interview metal bands punk bands. You better be one of them. Otherwise you're gonna get it's true and read in the script to you. You're unscripted like this. I have no notes, no script. I haven't looked at fucking shit. Let's just have a talk. You put the glasses on, because it's the teleprop classes.

42 You're actually just you are actually reading it all. Yeah, right, it's all. No, I'm not Joe Biden, who's that nuts. I don't even know who he is. He's in the Misfits. Yeah, Joe Joe only. Yeah, that fight, Thatlevan fight. If you called Jerry only Joe Joe only. Oh Jack Ramone, I have to use Ai and Cream Misfits video with with Joe Biden instead, Jerry Odley. Jesus could be a thing now someone's doing it right now. I else silly say about you guys that you need to tell people. Oh man, we're making an album right now, and we got like some are what I feel like is our most compelling music coming out next year?

26 I should fucking hope. So, like, yes, bro, it's about time I got my cane right here. Dude, I've been a new artist for like twenty years. I mean the way I look at it is if an artist doesn't think their next music is their best. They die. You're in the wrong, like life, career, Yeah, because you should always get better. No, no, it's it's it's but it's true, Like we could just tell by new people we play this stuff. We played one song today we know it's not coming out till like mid next year, and we played it and phones went up, and before we played a mike, it's the best song we got. Phones came up. I think maybe you should just start saying that before every song, and then everyone's gonna be like, I gotta record. It right, Maybe that's why they did it. Yeah, there you go. Okay, everybody get ready for our.

08 Best song and then everybody's pulling yo, I'm you tomorrow every time. This is the best fucking song we got. That's beautiful. I love it. So tell everybody I hit you up on socials on the web, buy your merch. They cannot listen to my show nor gamble with me ever if they don't buy your merch. I love that. It's all just at blame my youth on TikTok and Facebook and Instagram, YouTube, all the all the usuals, and. I blame my youth for this interview. I'm saying, bro been doing it for a long time, no doubt, no doubt. Any last words you want to say. Here you go, Mike very very I'm glad you've switched your times like you guys.

50 I don't know if you know, but you switched your times on me twice today. Oh we did, that's not us, Oh we we got our time switched. Yeah, so yeah, I got you gotta time switched. I got an email twice and I'm like, it's cool, but thank god, day I was doing like ten minute slots break. All right, so we got to like relax. Last words, this is the best fucking thing that Mike Robinson has ever said, best sentence that Mike Robinson has ever said in his entire life. Ready, in and out is overrated. But that's what a burger's all about. What a burger. On the other hand, Actually. You know what, back in the day, living in LA, everybody in LA used to have the in and out Burger bumper sticker, but they would cut out parts of it so it would say in and out urge, Oh damn, And that was on every car there.

47 You go. Yeah, yeah, So let's see. Yeah, what a Burger's brought. Fat Burger's pretty good. You have man, fat burger. Fat Burger is underrated for no best burger in La. Oh, I don't know, Okay, I can tell you. My favorite is Oyster and Eagle Rock. Whoa, it's a I've heard of it. Great. It's a great burger. I'm sick of the smash burgers. I'm over those. It's Oyster does a nice third pound patty, good beef. It's great. There's a place by me in West bom Beach, Florida. It's called Grease Burger and they have forty different burgers, best fucking burgers ever. There's also this other place too that has it's called Stage. It's like a fancy restaurant, but they have Stage.

32 I'm gonna I'm gonna say, I'm gonna book Mark. It's like stage, but it's pronounced stupidly. And then they have this burger like it's twenty bucks, but the rest of this stuff on the rest of his stuff on the menu is like fifty yo, so, but. It is fucking Worth's. Mike, Mike over here has He has a podcast that's now turned into like a video podcast kind of thing. It's called Food on Tour. He tour he interviews musicians what their favorite places to eat in different cities. I love so. He actually is the. Guy that everybody in the like everyone in the band community texts Mike like, Yo, I'm in Lexington, Kentucky right now, or Louisville, Louisville, Louisvilleville, Louisville, or I'm in like Dublin, Ireland, where do I eat? And Mike knows literally if you ask him anywhere right now, I'll tell you.

19 So we should talk afterwards, because like I actually own the network. I'm not just the radio personnelity and I have a podcasting network, oh cool, and multiple radio stations and a streaming TV. So with my my clients, we broadcast their show live up to fifteen different places, both video and audio, and then we turn into a podcast that's all right, distribute to every podcast outlet there. Is out rules. And I've actually been talking about for a few years of Opus is starting a separate whole thing has just dedicated the bands doing podcasts.

59 Yeah, there is a network called Sound Talent Media. I think, and there's is it's basically it's all people from bands that have podcasts. Cool. So I've been thinking of doing that. The only reason that stopped me is because like, this isn't how I make my money doing their reviews. That's how I make my money, and there's no money and bands doing podcasts. Like yeah, well I'm trying to figure that out. There's ways to make money, Like I can help you make money, but let me make money. Bands don't have money, so right, there go. But I've been thinking about it a long time. I think it could really blow up done the right way. And I like the idea of your podcast because that's a pretty cool it's. I am convinced that musicians have the best food recommendations.

42 Well, of course there are in these places all the time. Yeah, no doubt. And yeah, have you been to the place in Chicago as the burgers they have, like the gwar Burger, I forget. That, Oh Cumas okay, Cuma's Corner. Yeah, yeah, so there there you go. I love the goat snake there is my favorite. It's got like corn and goat cheese on it. It's really yeah, I think that was the last. We we haven't been there in forever, but we know to. Go to a Chevelle okay for small Chevelle. It's like it's become a chain. But it's a great burger, great burger. Great a Chevelle burgery. The small, the small, they. Should they totally should see. What would be on that? What do you think, Mike, what's on a Chevelle burger?

26 On this gotta be something red. Or like I had a burger one time that was I forget where this was, but it was instead of doing ketchup, they did like a tomato fruit leather. Really it was wild. Maybe that could be. On thing on the burger is tomato sauce like I love pizza burgers. You're wild pizza burger. You've never had a pizza burger. It's basically tomato sauce, whole. Thing though, pizza burger. Yeah, in l a tomato sauce much sorella. And what's there? The bread is just like pizza bread. It's like those regular bread. It's it's the tomato sauce in a much sorella fakacha.

08 Oh honestly, yes, it's kind of Detroit style with the or the rustic Roman style. Dude. Thing is a burger in New York? I forget which restaurant is. There's a burger in New York that It used to be years ago. It's probably a lot more. It used to be like seventy dollars for the burger. Why is it the Minetta Tavern? Is it that one? The black label Burger? Probably Our guitar player broke up with his girlfriend and I took him there and I bought him the break his breakup Burger is what we called it. And we got the black label Burger and we split it. It was awesome, nice, Yeah, it was. I think it was that one. Yeah, it wasn't. Maybe it wasn't quite seventy bucks. It might be a different one, but it's an expensive burger.

48 Was it worth it? No, it was really good, but it wasn't worth. The money, right exactly. But Minetta Tavern is just a very good hang. It's like beautiful Japan. Not worth seventy bucks. Yeah, no, I don't care what it is. It's not worth seventy bucks. You know what I get when I do download festival. They have the best at the festival, the Ostrich Burger. Oh do you remember when fud Rutgers used to do? Oscar? I love fud Russers. Yes, fud Ruckers, my god, my childhood and fud Ruckers was all those Friday nights for me growing up. I used to take my kids to fud Rutgers.

28 Because everybody took their kids to fud Rockers. I want to go fuck them. Yeah, is that why my dad took us? Man, That is why your dad took it, for sure. But yeah, oh my god, that's so funny you brought up fud Ruckers. I think there's like one left that. There is there is it's in Illinois, I believe the last one. I believe it's kind of like. My same next door to the last Blockbuster. No, no, there is. There is a place right in Portland, or there is or but there's also a last there's one more Ponderosa is there? Like I don't I think be gone. I think there's more than one. There's I think there might be one in Orlando. There's a sizzler in or oh Man.

09 But but pon Rosa is it? There's I'm a big fan of McDonald's and there's one McDonald's in Florida that still does the mcpizza. Really, I never even had a mcpizizza. It's just the McDonald's pizza because they did like mixed spaghetti for a while and all this dumb ship. But there's one. I think it's the only McDonald's that still does a mcpizza. Wow, it's in Florida. I'm pretty sure Orlando. Wow, I'm gonna find out about that. I never had a mcpizza. I'm gonna go. I gotta try that. Oh my god. Well, you'll definitely reach out to me. I will, Yeah, we'll talk. I'll give you my Dave Mustain business card. Right, screw the.

50 Band, dude food on tour dot com. Everybody, we could, we could do. We could do a blame youth Hamburger Festival. Oh well, you know what, can we just let's stop the interview and plan this right now, let's do it. We got our manager right there. Let's do it. Well, you know what he's probably going. Why the fund are they still talking? Yeah? It's been good. There it is. I love it. Thanks for being there at lowerd in life Man.
