04 Hey, you love done to censure. See wow for you, young. Bridge, we don't want to have to drive many buddy, you mean any Boddy? You mean any body? Tell me what my big tell means? Sense. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four C Y Radio, and I'm here. With Ali's from non Point. What's up, my man? What's going on a clean cut today? Do I? Yeah? You got your trim down on the side.

46 N A D is working and taking them m mns or whatever that is. It must be giving that youth youthful look, Hey man, I'm I'm fifty one years old. I am no spring chicken, but I have been blessed with good jeans. Right because you look like you the same as you did back in the nineties. All right, that's you keep putting that in the universe for me. Would you there it is? We will. How many times have you played Welcome to Rockville? I believe this number three or four? Yeah, it's been a few. Have you done all the Wimmer festivals? Yes, in one form or another. I have done every single one. What's your favorite? I would have to say two years ago when we did Rockville. Rockville is a different type of rock experience.

34 It's the biggest. It definitely feels like the biggest. Nice. Yeah that that that show was monumental. Is that because you're here in the speedway? That makes it that? I mean, it does help. I did. You know? I did grow up with a dad who was in the NASCAR. Nice and you know, Daytona was always the big race, so you know, I was alive when when we lost al and I my dad was actually watching the race. So really, yeah, it's it's so it's it's you know, and with the passing of my dad, being on this on the grounds itself was is pretty surreal. So yeah, I like to hope that every single time I play here, I got.

16 I got Pops with Oh, he's definitely with absolutely for sure. And like, how about what's it like writhing around the. Yeah, that's that's what I mean. It's it's it's it's a different kind of experience on these grounds. So it's it definitely shows you how much an effect and how important, you know, rock music is to humanity in general. And what do you think of the Wimmer festivals compared to other ones. You do. Definitely have uh their ship together. That's good to hear. That's like the number one good thing to hear, because that's mostly not the case that some. Food's always good. Accommodations are always outstanding. Uh. They make sure that you know, the staff is always awesome, friendly, same faces, just good people, so family. Yeah, they make it as easy as humanly possible, which is outstanding.

09 You know what I like about Rockville, which you might even like too, Like I don't even have to be on the road. I could be at home and just drive up here in a few hours. Yeah, well I'm on the road, so right, you're always on the road. And we had a little hiccup at the gate. The transmission in the busk oh shook a little bit, so we had to you know, had hit the reset button, drag our asses in here. But we made it. We made it in That's the life though, right, that is it is indeed, what else you got going on after Rockville this year? Let you want people to know about. We got the new single is it that's out right now? Just dropped at midnight. It is doing amazing? Is it good? It's it's amazing.

49 I think our fans are really excited about it. It's it seems the same as it was with Ruthless, which was it had a really great reaction. So I'm I'm excited people are enjoying it. You know. Uh, we got this tour that we're finishing off with Sumo Psycho and Soil uh and then you know, there's a lot of overseas stuff coming in. We've got a summer tour that we're about to announce. So it's it's it's moving man. That's nice. Now, when you do create new music, does it like revive you? Like every time you do it, it makes you feel like more energized again. Yeah, it when when the music finally hits and you start, uh you know, rolling out all the promo and stuff, that's when it kind of feels like, you know, you're starting to get uh you know that that gratification for the time that you put it to write the music. Uh, you know, the responses and then you know all of the you know business that comes around it once people.

49 Get behind it. It's it's it's always uh, you know, it's always that that that moment where you can kind of relax, But it's really when the work really starts. Yeah, no doubt. And I kind of think too, like it's gonna really feel good if you create new music after doing it for so long and people absolutely love it. Because when you get to be a band that's been around that long, like a lot of times people just want to hear the old stuff. Yeah, but then when you play new stuff and they want that what a feeling that is? Yeah, Well, it's it's it's up to you know, really their journey on where they are with discovery. You know, not everyone is always ready to discover new music. There was a point in my life where I literally for five straight years all I listened to is yacht rock.

41 I didn't listen to anything else. I was just you know, listening to old classic you know, rock and classic pop music. And you know, it took me a while to get back to discovering new music. And and you know, a good band will do that for sure. So what prompted you to get back to new music? You know a lot of these up and comers are really you know, shaking the tree. You know, bands like a rural wave and and and bands that are like pushing the genre in other directions and and and you know, melding different genres together. I think that's that's gonna be the real next step is the blurred lines between what we're doing here and and and what people even.

30 Consider our music. Well, you know, I love that you said that because I always think of these bands that everybody in the band has different influences from totally different genres. And I love that because now we have so many like micro genres that in that little group, everybody sounds the same. But if you're blending genres, then you have that unique sound that stands out. Yeah, And it's it's almost like the the situation that you have here with this lineup, you know, Yeah, it's it's it ebbs and it flows for a reason, and it's because it's it's it wants to cater to uh, you know, where everyone is in their human experience.

11 Well that's what's cool about like even messier. Welcome to Rockville. You got death metal, black metal, metal, metal. Food fighters, yeah, yeah. Yeah, rock and roll, you got you got pop punk and reg like hardcore. But then you have Waka Flaka. Yes, so it's like you have something for everybody. Yeah. Yeah, I think, like I said, those lines are going to get continue to you know, blur and uh, I think it's gonna just create new music and great music. After all the tours you've done, are there any bands that you have yet to tour with that you would like to do a tour with.

55 Let me see nice trisuper Uh that I would like to tour with. Now, let me think, you know what, I would love to get on a biscuit tour. I feel like that would be a lot too. I would I would have a lot of fun on olymp biscuit tour. I think, I think, I think those guys balance adulthood and performance fucking beautifully, right. I think they they they have. They they have no more fucks to give and and it's and it's fun to watch.

40 It's funny that you say that too, because I think of when they started coming back playing live shows and all the different looks Fred would have, fucking. Like he had the DADU go let's go from there with your Fred, Let's go. I love to do a show in Chunk let Us. Oh, I love it. And you know what. I saw them at grass Pop and it was the most intense pit I ever saw. And I've been in some crazy pit. Yeah. I saw them at Louder in Chicago a couple of years back, and they played like, I want to say, four bands before the last band and I was like, all the rest of y'all should pack it.

28 Up and go home. They just destroyed this guy. It was a party from the second those guys started to the second and end it. Was it was. It was great to watch. Shout out to Lim. You've achieved a lot of goals in all your musical career. What's left that you liked? Something? Bucketless for non Points? China, China. I want to go to China. I know a lot of people don't like Jina. I want to do a little giant. I know that you got your bands, but you got your Gina, the Southeast Asia's. Yeah, I'd love to do Asia. Asia is my last buck list.

09 I love it. I would say Antarctica, but I don't want to be accosted by the FBI and nobody's allowed in Antarctica, not even non Point. And you do such a good impression that you should go on like Jimmy Kimmel and announce your China tour. Yeah yeah, no, no, no, god no, I just lost like twenty thousand followers right just doing that. Cancel culture, yeah, real, it's real. Well, anything else that we haven't covered that. You need the listeners to know. No, just keep an eye out. We got a lot of dates that are about to get announced. We have an announcement this Tuesday about a new tour that we're about to.

57 Actually, I'm just gonna let you know right now. It's gonna be uh, we believe we're gonna call it the second leg of the out of Control Tour, even more. Out of control. Obviously I like it. First one was out of control. This is even more out of control. It's gonna be us Spine, Shank Head pe uh and Primer fifty five. Wow right now, So. It's it's it's a stack lineup. People are excited about it. The bands are excited. We just ran into those boys overseas in Europe and we were like, we got to make this happen over here. So I love it. And then at the end of that one, Soil is gonna jump on. It's gonna be a hip hop hoarray. It's gonna be awesome. And you heard it here first on the Adventures of Pipe Man. So go go Tuesday and find out about the announcement. Indeed, thanks a lot for once again being on the Adventures.

47 Thanks thanks mine. Thank you for listening to the adventures Of Pipe Man on W for CUI Radio.
