MacSabbath to Flounder Around Florida With Pipeman at Respectable Street 4-10-26
Pipeman discusses MacSabbath with Mike Odd the manager as he explains about dealing with these crazy illusive weirdos and the April 10th show at Respectable Street in West Palm Beach on 4/10/26
MAC SABBATH to Flounder Around Florida Before Setting Sail April 12th on Monsters of Rock Cruise.
MAC SABBATH is more than a Rock Band, MAC SABBATH is more than an arena size theatrical stage show packed into a club size stage. MAC SABBATH is more than a comedy, magic act, fast food bashing, off Broadway play set to the music of the masters or mystical Metal. Ronald Osborne and his band of Monsanto mutants Slayer MacCheeze, Grimalice and the Cat Burglar are an anti-industry tour deforce. Not only are they battling the food industry one Black Sabbath parody song at a time, but sticking it to the music industry as well by breaking all the rules. When corporations churn out pre packaged auto tune pop fluff… Mac travels back to the psychedelic land of eye and ear melting vinyl records wrapped in coloring books and even pop-up books! A tangible tangerine feast for the senses! MAC SABBATH puts on a multimedia stage show complete with a smoking grill, laser-eyed clowns, bouncing burgers and many more magical surprises! Open your ears, eyes and your mouth and taste the natural flavor sensations and organic licks of these prophetic pranksters that are MAC SABBATH.
MAC SABBATH were featured in Rolling Stone magazine who documented "Ozzy Osbourne had the rare experience of staring straight into the abyss when he met a fast food-themed Black Sabbath tribute parody band called Mac Sabbath. In a previously unreleased clip from his show, Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, the Prince of Darkness takes in a bizarre performance by the eye-popping fry-guys...'Being Ronald Osbourne, the front-clown for Mac Sabbath, isn’t easy,' the lead singer tells Rolling Stone. 'I have to meet all these fry-by-night ‘Drive-through metal’ icons like Burger King Diamond, Cinnibon Jovi and KFCC DeVille, look them in the eye and pretend like my indigestion is not acting up. Today is quite different. Today I met Ozzy Freaking Osbourne. Some big clown shoes to fill.'" Daily Star UK did a full feature article in its Weird News section writing "The band have been making waves online thanks to people sharing their experience while Mac Sabbath were on tour last month to celebrate their 10-year anniversary. Mac Sabbath were going viral after a video posted on X caught the attention of millions of viewers, with one saying 'This may be the best thing my eyes have ever seen in this weary life'. The video posted on X on Thursday has already attracted 6.5 million views and over a thousand comments." https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/weird-news/mcdonalds-metal-band-mac-sabbath-33578276

04 Hi, you have done to censure. Wow for you. Your This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio. And we have a very special guest here. We have Mike Odd and he's the manager of MC Sabbath, who's gonna be playing here locally at Respectable Street, one of my favorite venues in the area. Like I tour all over the country, all over UK and Europe, because I hate going to places in South Florida, but I love Respectable Street. Man and I am I says. I saw that they were playing there. I'm like, oh my god, that's great. I'm going to be in town. I'm going no the pavement live live that Respectable Street where I think you guys are gonna like set records there of like just toying the turning the place into total mayhem.
26 I think. So. So, here's what I really want to know. Forget all the other bullshit. I want to hear some stories of what it's like to manage these odd balls. Well, it's difficult, you know, I'm dealing with a time traveling clown. Ronald Osborne insists that he goes back and forth from this in this wormhole from the nineteen seventies, and he rejects all modern technology. So as a manager of a rock band in what is it twenty twenty two or whatever it is, what.
18 Years, I always go nineteen, you know, And that's that's That's definitely where he's at. He's stuck in this realm of the of the nineteen seventies and reject. If I try to say, oh, like, you know, we should probably do a stream or an MP three or something like that, you know you're gonna get a pie in your face or you know, seltzer water, you know, squirt it all over you or something, he gets angry and and you know, rejects it and confused. And so so this is what I'm dealing with. So instead of being on like Spotify or something I have, like you know, LP that comes in a pop up book or a flexi disc that comes in a coloring book, he's all He's very focused on very tangible stuff that you can touch, and like likes to make things that the kids enjoy, because you know, he's trying to get the message out to younger people about you know, fast food being evil.
29 So yeah, well I'm a little upset though, because like I was hoping you could. You would say, I used to have that other band, you know, I used to have the bs Ban. I used to have them on eight track. So I was hoping you have some eight tracks I could get. You can say Black Sabbath, by the way, that's perfectly careful. I have several Blacks Sabbath eight tracks as we speak. Un Yeah, I've gone, I have gone and done the a track thing a bit and uh and and that's and that's fun and uh it it resonates for me.
16 There's something about that drag that has this kind of old timey like formative feeling for me. So and I have actually looked into trying to get eight tracks made for Max Sabbath because I think it was I think it would please Ronald, and I think that it would look really good on the merch table, and you know, maybe you know one or two people would buy one. I would definitely buy what. I don't even have an eight track player anymore, but I would buy what. I've been like, it's the only thing I ever got rid of. I'm like, man, I wish I still had my tracks.
56 And it's fun. It's fun shopping for eight tracks on eBay because like you know, if you're buying Black Sabbath, it's gonna run you like you know, it's gonna run you like you know, forty bucks or something forty fifty bucks if you can find the A tracks. But you know you can get Barbara Mandrell for like five cents, you know. So it all depends on what you like. You know. So, but do they actually give you like a free matchbook with every eight track, because you know that's a necessary. Tool to play the eight track right right. You gotta put it under there to get at the right speed. Nowadays you have this button on Spotify that could be one times, two times, five times. We needed a matchbook in order to do that technology. I think you should get some for the respectable street show. I'll promote the shit out of everybody. They can't listen to my anymore unless they buy a mixed Sabbath eight track.
08 But you gotta take You have to make sure though that you have that you take one of the songs and split it like in the middle to you know where jump Like I remember a Blizzard of Oz, mister Crowley would fade out in the middle, change tracks and the fade back in. I miss those days. You know, people are so confused right now, I know, right, so have you, but they, like you said, they might actually buy them even though they didn't. Right now, I'm actually talking to the skateboard company and I'm like about doing a skateboard deck and and I'm like, well, you, Ronald's gonna want this old fashioned seventy shape? Can you do that? And they're like, yeah, I go, but you guys would probably know what would sell better, because maybe that's not gonna sell because the kids ride these modern skateboard shapes. And he goes, ah, it doesn't matter because most of the people who buy the skateboard decks are just gonna put them on their wall.
21 No, no, what trucks on the. Right. I was like why, I Well, to be fair, I have three skateboards that I use, Okay, but if I bought a deck like a Mac Sabbath deck, I wouldn't want to fuck up that deck riding on it. Like Jesus, my skateboards look like they've been through World War three. Yeah, well yeah, I mean I don't know. I guess it'd be people who don't skateboard will buy them put them on their wall, and then people who skateboard will buy them, and some of them will put them on the wall and some of them will ride them. I guess there's three different categories or something. I don't know.
05 I do have. I bought one of those Devot decks that's the five red hats, you know, yeah, yeah, yeah, together and and I and I was like, I don't know if they're gonna, you know, just keep it or put trucks on it. And then it came and it doesn't even have the holes drilled in it. To say, no, you're not gonna put trucks on this thing. But see that would be the one to ride because the pain on your size, you would know where to put your feet. Uh so, is this the kind of fun We're gonna have a respectable streak?
45 Oh, it's gonna be beyond this if you can imagine that. Like, can you describe to our listeners have never experienced this, what they can expect at a Max Sabbath show. This is why it's how Art being the manager of Max Sabbath, because it's really harder to describe. I mean, you can say the obvious thing, which is that it's these you know, mutated fast food mascots. Playing these Black Sabbath songs. But the twist is that it is that it's like Ronald says, he's he's come from He's traveled into the future to save us all from the current state of music and food and you know, teach us about how you know, how the drive through is evil and so is auto tune.
44 I guess something like that, Like not only auto tune, but I even have somebody on my station that does a show that started creating music with AI. They don't have a talented bone in their body as far as that goes. But like an AI song, like that's getting a little ridiculous if you ask me, man, I mean, you need talent. There's playing a business bullshit out there. You need talent. It's just a thing about Ronald, Like from the beginning, it's just like it's like, Okay, he's insane. He's rattling on about these possible you know, future outcomes and dangers and blah blah blah, and I'm like, okay, I just I just write it off. Like when he screams and yells about cinnabon Jovie or Deville taking the food out of his mouth or something. You know, he's kind of paranoid is no fun intended, you know what I mean?
46 So I just kind of write all this up. But now, thirteen years later, I'm like, I remember him talking about these robot dogs and like completely automated robot burger places and all these horrible things that would happen with technology if we're not careful. And now we have robots, mate, you know, replacing rock and roll musicians. You know, maybe maybe it's time to actually listen to this weirdo. You know, I don't know, I think so, I mean, pretty prophetic if you ask me. Yeah, so I think I think I have a couple ideas for you guys too. Okay, well one isn't really an idea. It's more of a question that I should probably know the answer to.
34 But I don't. Have you ever? Have you guys ever done like a tour with Zach Sabbath, because that would be kind of a fun tour right there. It's funny. There's an interview out there, uh, with with Zach where the interviewer mentions us and and I guess I guess his response was, oh, yeah, they're great. I'd love to tour with them or something, And then the title of the interview is Zach Sabbath. Zach says he'd love to tour with next Sabbath or something. I'm sure he was delighted about this guy. This guy's interviewing him was obviously like a Max Sabbath fan, so he's like, you know, wow, item, As far as I'm concerned, I felt bad.
33 Well, I got a story similar to that. So I have over three thousand interviews. The interview that really, like every publication picked up and it went viral was with somebody I'm actually interviewing again next week, but it was with Carmine A Peace and he said in the interview, I don't even remember how it came up. He said, yeah, I don't think Black Sabbath was the original of originators of heavy metal metallicas and people went insane, okay, and like, okay, So I was at Metallica's first show ever. I used to hang out with them. Okay, they would never say that, okay.
26 And influenced by Black Sabbath. No doubt, And come on, you know, like Tony Iomi getting into you know, having that accident, and you know, creating a new sound is what heavy metal. And it changes the way you play guitar to the certain thing that becomes heavy metal. I think that that's pretty much so. I would think so too. And you know, no shade whatsoever, because he's a great dude. I'm just saying how how people reacted that they reacted just the same way you reacted. That's why I wanted to bring it up, because you're more of an expert because you're the manager of Max Abbas, so you might know a little bit about that.
15 Well. Him and his brother can't even decide how their last name is pronounced, so you. I it's why you should say that, because every time I say one of them, I'm like thinking to myself, which one which way do I pronounce it? This time? Into account, you know, Oh oh my god, I better not put this interview out till after the next seria. No car baby, we love you both. Oh no, totally cool. Pronounce your name.
56 I think I. Think they should just come up with a universal pronunciation that's nothing like the ones they are now, Like they both have the same pronunciation. It doesn't even sound like their name, right, Or maybe maybe one of them could be uh Vanilisi and the other one could be uh Blaxi. Or then you know which ones which. I think your question ten minutes ago was what is it like seeing a Max Sava's show? So it's in a reda size rock show crammed onto uh a stage, So it's sort of this big theatrical experience of spilling over into the audience, and it's it's it's interesting because it's it's like wicked and metal, but it's still like it's still clean enough for kids because he wants the message to go to the kids. It's got this you know, anti fast food message, but that you have to like dig into the lyrics for that. It doesn't come off preachy.
16 It's really fun and over the top and hilarious and frightening all the same time. And he's flipping burgers off of a smoking grill while he's singing, and there's like giant inflatable burgers bouncing around on the audience, and and and he's doing like birthday party magic while he's singing, and it's just it's a it's an amazing show. It's it's a lot more than a rock band. It's like it's really hard to explain. Every person that's ever seen the show that's talked to me whether it be for the first time, whether it be a fan or an agent or a promoter, they all say the same thing to me. They go, we saw it online, but we had no idea what it was and we did not know what was going to be like this. So it's it's it's it really packs a big surprise. It's really something that you have to see live.
16 Absolutely, And I just want to say to everybody, maybe you're not in the West Palm Beach area, that's cool. There's other shows you can go to. There's either even other shows in Florida, which is amazing because it's like we live in Florida. We have to drive four hours ago as show because it'll only go here. We're only going to this town. And that's it, you know, And so you know you'll be in West Palm, but you'll also be in Tampa and winter Park. So West Palm's on the tenth of this month, April April ninth is Tampa and April. A week we're doing the Bosses Rock Cruise out of Miami too.
57 Yeah, there you go to that, and that's how much fun are those cruises today? This is the third one we've done. It's really it's really amazing. Speaking of Zach, Black Label Society is playing, So yeah, maybe. You can make it happen there on the cruise, Like, are you just PROMPTU? Now I'm promoting that people need to if you haven't gotten your ticket yet to Monsters of Rock, you need to go there in case it's happens, because it could be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Well, it's funny you read the article. It makes it seem like, you know, Max Sabbath and Zach Sabbath might tour together. But the funny thing is we have this coming up with that Zach band, and then we're playing on the Pantera stage at U at Louder than Life, which is nice. So basically we're playing with every band that Zach has butt Zach sab which which might be better for redundancy as far it's like hearing all the same songs all night long.
01 I suppose right, And I'll be at Lower in Life. I do that one every year. I love that festival. That's gonna be a blast for sure. And so I have one final question too, Okay, because you were mentioning all the things that are done on stage. If I brought my grandkids. Now, mind you, one of my grandkids that is into metal and punk is just turn fifteen. So you know, I'm just being cleared. It ain't like no two year old. But if I bring my grandkids, will will Ronald throw out some toys to the kids, like when we get them this horrible crap we get them not normally.
47 But if you contact me, maybe I can hook something like that up. You know. Yeah see, but I don't mean just for my grandkids. I just be in general. You could have like the Max Sabbath, Uh terrible toy thing or something. I don't know. I like it. I like it, say terrible toys for TODs. Yea, there it is. That's perfect. I love it. That could be your next tour. I like it. Uh do you have any final words you want to say to the listeners? Uh? Stay hungry? I mean, if you're choosing between the drive through and real food, you know, stay hungry to you can get to the real food. Right.
36 Yeah, everybody check out Max Sabbath if you haven't checked it out yet, and you. Gotta go see the live show. It is an experience. Stole that from Wendy Schneider. Say that again. So I feel like I might have stole that line from wend Dy Schnyder. Never mind, maybe maybe we'll let that slide. Well, thanks a lot. Uh, it certainly was an odd interview the. Pipe man nice. Yes, that's a blast. We'll see you. On pronunciation of their name. I never thought i'd have that conversation on the radio.
16 What about somebody's name? Yeah, well see, you never know. That's why I may bee. Maybe my last name is odd too, so I'm like the odd pipe man, not the odd couple. Yea, my man on W four c Y radio. You got it perfect. I love it. Some mics are better than other at this. You know it might be. And I can't wait till I pretend to be there at respectable Street and uh dodging all of the burgers flying at me. I'll see you there, Bud later. Thank you.
