05 Hey, you're listening to Adventure on W4CY Radio. This is the Pipe Man here on the Adventure's Pipe Man W4CY Radio, and I am traveling back in time to this last weekend where I was doing media. Coverage at Louder Than Life, but I. I really wanted to go back and see a set of one of my favorite acts at louder than life. McSabbath. And, uh, I listen, I have, I have the manager with me of these odd balls.
49 And so maybe we. Could talk a little bit about how great it was at ladder in life, especially I heard a rumor that somebody in the crowd ate Zach wild. Cause he, because they thought they thought he was a big mac. I don't know if that's uh exactly true but somewhere in there there's some truth in there somewhere i think. I i did interview zach wild and i have to listen back to the interview because i i think i might have when i was talking about zach sabbath i might have said mac sabbath so I think he's now an honorary member of the band.
37 There was this interview with Zach, and the guy, and he was like a big Mac Sabbath fan, I'm guessing, that was interviewing Zach, and he said, what do you think of Mac Sabbath? And he goes, oh, you know, they're great, you know, love to tour with them at some point or something. Probably just being polite, right? And And this guy printed the article and the headline said, Zach Sabbath, Zach Wild loves Mac Sabbath and wants to tour with them, was the headline of the interview. Wow. All this poor guy, like, trying to be nice.
23 Well, I will say that Zach is like one of the nicest dudes, man. oh my god he was unbelievably nice you know it just goes to show fuck these people that say don't meet your idols because man I met this dude and I was like fucking hey you're the nicest guy ever man. Yeah yeah he's amazing it was really neat I don't know if you read Ozzy's book Blessed Rites but it was he kind of plays his guardian angel in the, you know what I mean? It's pretty cool hearing like the interactions of things that happened with Ozzy's health and Zach is very interesting.
08 Yeah, that's pretty cool. And you know, it's interesting too. Like I did say to Zach, like I saw Randy Rhodes. Okay. And I tell him, you know, I saw Randy Rhodes, uh, And I never thought anybody would live up to that dude because he was just like amazing. And I told him in the middle of the interview, I'm like, you definitely were the right. I've seen all the guitars through the years and you were the right one to fill the shoes, man. And he, I think I almost made him cry because he, I mean, what kind of compliment is that bad? Like fucking you're as awesome or more than Randy Rhodes.
49 Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, man, I was definitely tearing up reading about, um, Zach and Ozzy in that book. It was really, um, some, some really good stuff in there, but yeah. Yeah, totally. I mean, I didn't even want, I felt I, I didn't even want to bring much up about Oz because I knew it would be something that like would be pulling on the heartstrings. It's still pretty fresh, you know? Yeah. And, uh, man, I think you guys should go on tour. But I'm kind of afraid of your tour with GWAR. I want to know if GWAR is going to eat Mac Sabbath.
37 Yeah, I have no idea how that's going to work out. But it's like, is it blood or is it ketchup? Is it blood or is it ketchup? You know, like. I interviewed Warren. They left a whole shitload of blood on one of my interview seats, man. Oh, yeah? Yeah, yeah. That was pretty rude, man. Clean up after yourself, will you? These aliens, these aliens, they don't know how to clean up after themselves. They just shit on our planet, man. Yeah, I'm wondering how messy, literally messy, that's going to be to navigate that tour. It's like, you know, just imagining, like, you know, Grumalis being, you know, horribly stained and having to scrub him every night.
33 I wonder what guarburgers would be like on the barbecue, though. Well, Ronald calls them guarbies, so. So in his mind, I guess it's barbecue sauce. You know, I don't know. We'll see. Well, I will tell you though. Okay. So they had a new thing. They have this dinosaur now. Okay. Yeah. And I was thinking about it. Like when I get my grandkids chicken nuggets, they're always shaped in the shape of dinosaurs. So maybe they could be the McGuire nuggets. They were Gorgor nuggets all along. Right?
19 Question is, do we eat them with barbecue sauce or sweet and sour sauce? Oh, man. I don't even know how you do it with these dudes every day. I'm sure you get a break, but you know. I deserve a break today. You do deserve a break today. Just not this day no not this day at all oh my god but the. Screen room at louder than life is nice. So yeah totally it looks like you know you might have a video game there too like the meg sabbath video game there needs to be the meg sabbath video game that would be i would buy that video game.
07 I've i've heard jail of people wanting to do things like that i don't know we'll see. That would be kind of cool. That's a little modern for us, but yeah, I don't know. We'll see. I renamed Louder Than Life anyway. The festival is now called Hotter Than Life. Yes. Oh my God. How was your band cooking up barbecue up there? It was so hot, man. It was hard for them, but harder for bands that played later like we we actually had a pretty sweet spot because later watching like anthrax trying to deal with the the blazing sun actually beating on the stage where the sun when they were out there was actually pretty kind um and that's good and our set time was shorter but watching anthrax playing their longer set with the sun beating on them And watching Joey just handle that like a champ was really something. I talked to him afterwards.
15 I was like, I'm sorry. That was rough. He's like, start running out into the crowd to make it even worse. And I was like, yeah, you look like you're going to die. Oh, yeah. Everybody I interviewed, I'm like, how the fuck do you do that, man? Like, how do you play in that heat? I'm just sitting there. Listen, it's the first time ever I was praying for a code red so I could get in the air conditioning. And it happened. You got it on day two. Yeah, yeah. That's because of me. Okay. It was right in the middle of an interview. And I'm like, thank God. I'm out of here. I'm going to air conditioning. Interview over.
04 But, okay. Now, the trickery later that day, though, you know, there was, there was, I, it was the longest code orange in history. I went out to get something to eat. I thought things were safe. And then all of a sudden it's code orange. I'm like running back in the rain to media because usually it's like 30 seconds later, your code red. And then I was about to do an interview and they were like, yeah, you, I hope you get one question out of it. I get to do the whole interview. I think maybe the evacuation gods wanted to make sure that my chem played so that the emos would not freak out and do a total meltdown cry at Louder Than Life.
59 Well also I think that the metal gods were shining down because the weather was so rough that I know that Ronald got out of there and that was a good thing because if Ronald crossed passes with Burger King Diamond that would have. Been a problem yeah I'd like to see that though you know at Welcome to Rockville they had this new pre event blood for blood. It was bare knuckle fighting and Alex, a terrible, like, uh, got beat pretty bad in the headline fight, but how cool would it be if this coming year, I'm putting this out to Danny Wimmer that for the blood for blood, it would be those two that go at it.
46 It's funny. You mentioned welcome to Rockville. Um, Well, I'm not allowed to say anything about Welcome to Rockville. I won't tell anybody. It's just between us. All I can tell you is good things are coming to Welcome to Rockville next year. That's all I can say. Does that mean we're going to have free burgers for everybody? I've already said too much. Oh my God. And this picture that's behind me, you know, the part that's cut out is the people that were running to the Mac Sabbath set because they were running away from the food vendors because they were all GMO.
39 Thank you for that. That is true. That is truer than life. Truer than life. Hotter than life. Truer than life. Like, forget the louder than life shit. I just want to know how Mac Sabbath and Zach Sabbath both play at the same festival and there's nothing that goes wrong well maybe something did go. Wrong well technically although Zach played twice it was two out of three technically Zach Sabbath didn't play but.
22 Well, that's true. Zach Sabbath, that's right. Because he has to play, Zach Sabbath has to play at Aftershock because from what I heard, you can verify if this is true or not. And I didn't hear it from anybody. It just came from the voices in my head that Zach Sabbath couldn't play at Louder Than Life because it was in Max Sabbath's contract. Oh, yeah, yeah, we have a radius clause. Yeah, radius clause excluding Zach Sabbath. No, no, that would get me further from the truth.
03 It's kind of like. The clause says we will not play any show unless Zach Sabbath is playing. Oh, okay. So you violated your own clause. We made an exception since he was playing in two other bands. We were like, all right. Yeah, you know, that's tough work doing that. And he has to put on his eyeliner and his rouge and his pantyhose and everything twice. He did literally say that at the end of the interview. Okay, I'm going to go back now. What's going on? At the end of the interview, because, you know, he had to get ready to go perform Pantera.
47 He's like, okay, I got to go now. I got to get my eyeliner on, my rouge, my fishnet stockings. Yeah, I get it. Yeah, that's great. And it made all the sense in the world right then and there. There it is. Pantera bread. Yep, there it is. I literally would have liked to seen like Mac Sabbath just run on the Pantera stage and just cause. I was actually commenting about a similarity between Zach and Ronald is he has these like, um, very large, uh, eyelids on his, on his cut on his, on his vest, you know, and we're very large, uh, studs on his, on his guitar strap. Like they, they all, you know, it's very large chain. So it kind of reminds me of Ronald's large zipper. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
46 Sort of oversized kind of costume. The large boots. Yeah, yeah. Large boots, clown shoes, you know. Yeah, they got that good fun. They're louder than life! Louder than life. Seriously, how much fun was that, though? I think there was like 240,000 people at Louder Than Life, I heard. For 240,000? Yeah. That's insane. 240,000 of my closest friends. Fantastic. Yeah, I mean, one thing that I wasn't ready for is I, you know, I assumed that it was sort of like second stage, you know? So I was like, oh, okay, you know, there'll be the big Iron Maiden stage and there'll be a smaller stage. But they were the exact same size and it was just back and forth. It was basically the same stage.
39 Exactly. Exactly. Exact same size and I was like wow okay so like so Mac is just as large as Maiden in this thing. Well I don't even know why Maiden headlined it should have been Mac Sabbath okay. That was another thing in our contract but we made a compromise because you know because Iron Maiden has agreed to play so many classic songs that. I was actually kind of impressed because they played in the beginning a lot of old stuff that I like.
22 Yeah, there was like... They opened up with, what, five DeAnno-era songs? Exactly. I was blown away by that. I've seen them a million times. I've never seen them do that many DeAnno songs. I figure... for what the times that I've seen them, I don't remember them doing any Deanna Deanna songs since the eighties. Probably not. Yeah. Like, uh, seeing, um, uh, uh, what's it called? Uh, the power slave tour that ended up being the live album. Yeah. That one, you know, maybe they did three or something, but like, wow. To do.
05 I mean, they started with Rothschild. Like that was killer. I was like, holy shit. Every time, every song, I was like, holy shit. Because, you know, when you do as many festivals as I do, you're rarely surprised by a band's set. Absolutely. I feel the same way. I was so blown away by Iron Maiden's set. I was like, wow. And Tool, I wasn't surprised by their set at all. It was exactly what it always is. And I spent the whole time trying to find Maynard. I was thinking to myself, oh, my God, did Gwar eat Maynard?
52 Oh, wait. Maybe Mac Sabbath cooked him up on the grill. You could find him easy. I did end up seeing him. You know why I ended up seeing him? At the very end when he was walking off to stage. But you want to know some irony? I don't know if I should say this. I'm not going to mention names. I'm just going to let you figure it out. But I was hanging out with this great phenomenal bassist that was also playing in a metal that's the only hint I'm given band at Louder Than Life watching this other mega band.
42 And I just thought the irony of that. Oh, I don't know if you got what I put down there, but there were two very big heads there. I think so. I think I got it. Right. But yeah, I thought that, I thought that was pretty cool and big of the, the dude watching it with me. Like, Well, I have watched, I have literally with my own eyes watched Steve Herring watch Grim Alice play. And that was amazing for me to be able to watch.
24 Nice. And that was, you know, on a boat. Wow. So it had like, you know, nautical, it's very nautical. I just thought of something. When you guys are on tour with GWAR, you know, they always like kill people on stage. I think you should bring the Burger King on. On stage. Oh, Burger King diamond. Yeah. And kill the Burger King on stage. We'll have to work that out. Right. We'll see if he's not busy with, uh, uh, my chemical cool ranch and, uh, Oh my.
12 God, that's cool. That's great. My chemical cool ranch. So, let's see. Who else can we think of that played at Laird and Life that should have a better, cooler name? What other bands that played at Laird and Life can you give a cooler name to? Well, there was Flammable Axe, there was Metal Church's Chicken, there was Suicidal Tendon, See's Candies. There's, you know, There you go. Papa John's Roach didn't show up. No, no. Papa John's Roach got shut down by having too many roaches.
54 The health department shut him down. Western exterminator. I want to. Know what prize at Later in Life you would get in a Happy Meal. Ooh. I know there were these things that bartenders were hanging out. Earplugs. Earplugs. Well, how about this? They were handing out at certain places with drink and the bartenders, these little floaty things that were like this big and it floats in your drink. That would be the perfect Happy Meal toy.
37 That's super toxic. It's something that's small enough that you can swallow and choke on it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That sounds dangerous in so many ways. I mean, as if it would be worse than the Sprite that it's floating in, but maybe it would, the Sprite probably disintegrated. Right. And then you just mainlining those microplastics, you know. Yeah, it's kind of like, I used to love when I was younger putting pennies in Coca-Cola. Really? That sounds healthy.
18 Yeah, it's gone. It's gone by the time you get to the bottom of the glass. You know, we all need a little bit of copper in our body. Like, we're deficient in copper, so I thought I was. Coke ends up costing you 38 cents instead of 37 cents. Right. I can't even do it anymore because they won't make these pennies anymore. I went before Congress and argued with them that I need those pennies in my Coca-Cola, man. Don't stop making them, please. You know, it's funny. I remember putting pennies in, I think it was Taco Bell sauce. Really? Yeah. Back in the day, it wasn't like a packet.
02 It was like a little plastic bucket. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. The same as the barbecue sauce at, you know, McSabbath. Yeah. And you could throw the penny in there and you'd wait like, I don't know, four seconds or something and the penny would be shiny clean, right? And I think that's why they moved the packet because they're like, it's too easy to prove that this stuff cleans pennies. So we're going to make, they can't put penny inside a packet. But that'll have a dual purpose, man.
43 The intention of the packet of condiment was to hide the fact that condiments were so toxic that they were shining metal, I believe. But, I mean, don't quote me on that. I just say it's dual purpose, that's all. That's it. It saves me money. I don't have to buy a cleaner. I just go to Taco Bell. It cleans everything. It cleans everything out of your stomach. And it cleans everything else. You know? It's true. I really want to know. It is. Hmm. What would it be like if Taco Bell and McSabbath combined forces?
25 Ooh. Ouch. Ouch. i uh i don't want to know would be like taco hell's bells would be. Ringing it'd be like it would be like the uh a mexican mcnugget. Well you know um what's what are they called uh um bow house of pancakes you know that band bow house of pancakes they have that song uh Taco Bella Lugosi's dead. You know what I'm talking about? We're off on another subgenre.
07 Boy, you're really good. I don't even know what subgenre that is. Is that New Wave? Is that New Wave? Dark Snack Wave, I think it is. There it. Is. So I want to know what was the best part and the worst part of Louder Than Life? Well, you know what the worst part was? The worst part for everybody was the weather in many, many, many ways.
48 Fuck, I had to come home to South Florida to cool off. Like, who does that? I'm like, I can't wait to get home to cool off. Hilarious. That never happens. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that was bad. It was so hot, I turned down sex because it was too hot. No, it's too hot. Sorry. Yeah, Ronald said the same thing about food. Um. Yeah, yeah. So the heat was definitely unbearable. I just didn't know exactly how it was going to go. They never really played a metal festival this big. I mean, we did the year before. We did Riot Fest. But there was some wiggle room there because it was like the Weird Al Yankovic stage. You know what I mean? Totally. Totally.
56 You sort of knew that everyone was going into it with a sense of humor. You know what I mean? And so I'm like, okay, well, we got like Iron Maiden and Pandera Bread and Flanthrax. Like, you know, we got a coming Gojira. This is a pretty like serious, serious crowd, right? So Master Domino's, right? So I'm like, shit. I don't know I'm you know hoping that like the you know the crowd will be good natured and then man when they were setting up and I heard I don't know how many thousands of people chanting Ronald that was the best part for me because I was like oh we're in nice.
50 And you know I think Riot Fest wanted you back this year And you turned them down for Louder Than Life, so they settled for Captain James T. Kirk. That's what happened. That's how he got our seconds. He got your slot. Oh, my God. Like, when I first heard that, I really was like, because I cover Riot Fest, too. And this year was the same week. And I was like, oh, man, now I have to make a choice. Turns out I made the right choice because as bad as our weather was, Riot Fest weather was a lot worse. Wow! How funny was that? Right?
31 And then on top of that, I watched some videos of Captain James T. Kirk doing metal. Oh my God. It was so funny. He was singing the songs the same way he talks. Like that. That's him, yeah. You know, it was like, War Pigs. That's the thing. I mean, when he originally, the first album he did, I believe was like a series called Golden Throats, you know? So I think it was like sarcasm, you know? So that's like his thing. And I think that Spock did one too, didn't he?
20 Did he really? Oh my god, that's too funny. They should have done one together. He can sing because he has that Hobbit song. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bilbo, Bilbo. You know things that song about Bilbo Baggins. Yeah. I was very excited about Danny Elfman too. He was incredible. He was. And check this out. I saw Oingo Boingo in 1980 in my high school gymnasium, Westlake High in California. Yeah. They played an assembly.
01 Wow. That's amazing. I saw them in the eighties as well, but later than that. Yeah. Yeah. I saw him open for the police to 1983, but man, he was amazing. It was so cool. And how he combined like every part of him, you know, up there. He looks great. It's like, what is going on there? What kind of, I know. Right. What kind of barbecue sauce is that? Exactly. I, but I did hear that when, when Ronald was turning his back and Danny was sneaking up on stage during the set and taking all the burgers off of the barbecue.
45 You got to watch out for those Danny Keebler Elfman, you know? Well, he probably is like a, has meta powers. So that's why he's Elfman because he just like does one of these. And he turns into an elf and he can sneak up and steal the burgers. Is that Tabitha that you just did? These younger viewers are not going to pick up on that. You realize that, Pipe Man? No, they're not. You totally pulled a Tabitha. That is hilarious. I don't even know where that came from. Like I channeled my inner Tabitha. I think I'm going to have to, I think I'm going to have to change my pronouns now.
34 I love it. That was great. Question is which Karen Stevens will it be? Yes. Dick, which Dick? I think, I think Eminem's coming out with a new song. Will the real Darren Stevens please stand up? There's actually a song about that from a guy named Fish Karma. And he goes, Dick York, where did you go? Dick Sergeant, where Dick York should be? They still have no idea what we're talking about. You realize this.
25 Oh my God. Oh my God. Magic too, but they still have no idea what we're talking about. I mean, I'm going to say something I wouldn't normally say cause I'm a Gen Xer, but I really hope there's some boomers listening to this. Let's hope they tuned out like five minutes ago. Right. You're making fun of my childhood. Did I tell you the story, though, about Marianne from Gilligan's Island? Please do. She's my favorite. Oh, so I did this. She was the one I had a crush on, not not the other one. And so I was doing a festival. I was doing a festival in Louisiana. OK, like this whole thing. Mac Sabbath should have played at this festival because the festival was run by the, the real voice of Scooby and Shaggy, like the real person. He came on my show. No, no, before him or after him or whatever.
34 I don't know. So anyway, and they had all the, it was in Louisiana. I have one of my students and was, is in Louisiana. Uh, I'm a Yankee and an Italian Jew. I have no. Business in Louisiana, so that was the last time I was in Louisiana was this festival, okay? It was kind of scary. It was kind of scary for me, I'm going to admit. But they had the Dukes of Hazzard people there. By the way, I. Might get canceled for this, but Daisy Dukes wears, like, 10 Daisy Dukes now because one just ain't going to cut it.
20 Just saying. But anyway, Barbara Eden was there. Barbara Eden? No. Another one? Barbara Eden because she was kind of like the second coming of the thing we were talking about earlier, the name that we don't mention. Yeah, yeah. Exactly. Exactly. And then I interviewed Marianne. I think she was like 83 at the time. And I'm looking at her and she's actually hitting on me. And I'm like, I would do it. I would do it. That's the childhood dream. I don't.
11 Even know where the fuck this is going, man. This is going down every rabbit hole you could possibly find. The only thing worse is like now I'm having flashbacks of, you know, my bumper sticker in LA as a teenager that said in and out urge. That was a thing like back in the eighties in LA, you would get those free in and out burger stick bumper stickers. And you would cut it out so it would say In-N-Out Urge. There's some kind of Clockwork Orange reference in there, but I don't know what it.
54 Is. So maybe, let's see, what could we do with a Max Sabbath bumper sticker? What could it say? Oh, position it so it says, like, switch it around and then it says, like, something crazy like Black Sabbath or something. Yeah, right? Oh, my God, that does work out. You know what? You remind me, too. So, funny story, okay? I got the confirmation of the interview with Zach Wild the morning of. Oh, nice. I had already dressed. And had a certain shirt for that day. And you're the only one I'm telling this to publicly. I changed my shirt. to my black Sabbath shirt that I brought.
43 It's a black, it's a black Sabbath shirt that comes from their store. That's basically the cover of the original black Sabbath album. Sure. So here was what was cool is after the interview, like the, the publicist was trying to get Zach to another interview and Zach just started talking to me and he was telling me the whole story, which I already knew. But it was better when he was telling it and I could hear it from him. The whole story of that model that was on the shirt. Because she didn't even know that it was going to be for a Black Sabbath thing. And he gave this whole story. There's actually a whole story to it. It's kind of funny because a lot of the old band albums... That's the case.
35 It's like these. Models, they go for a shoot, they don't even know what they're shooting for, you know? Yeah. I did see, though, just a couple days ago, the chick that's on the Blink-182 album, they showed her mugshot because she's been arrested several times since then. So I don't know if you want to be on the cover of a Blink-182 album. Yeah. It just tells me that leads you to bad things in life. Yeah, and it turns out that the witch from the Black Sabbath album ends up being a neuroscientist in one of. Exactly. And that's what I'm talking about.
17 Okay? So.... Life is funny. Yeah. You know? Yeah. It just... So I'm like, man. That was one of the times when I really did say, thank God I listened to those voices in my head because the voice in my head said to wear that shirt, you know, bad things usually happen when I listen to voices in my head, but we won't talk about that because. Cut the part of the interview out though, because people should just think that you naturally have the black Sabbath shirt on that you do change on purpose. You don't want to, you know, I'd change my shirt eight times and I would never admit it.
02 Well, there you go. Here's the thing. This stuff's got to stay between us because I don't need anybody coming to my door because I incriminated myself. I didn't do anything legal, so leave me alone. It's very locked down, right? There's nothing that I've done that's legal, so leave me alone. And we won't talk about what I did while Mac Sabbath was on stage. We'll just leave that for another time. That sounds right.
43 You really don't want to know, okay? I don't. It had something to do with Blothar and four penises and that's all I'm going to say you can't get any more of it out of me. Hey family band. So what else can we talk about about these nutcases and what they're about to do. Well maybe we should talk about next Sabbath a little bit Since we spent 19 minutes on Tabitha.
29 Oh my God. I can't even handle this shit. I had to prep myself before getting on this interview because I had to try and get all my laughter out before the interview so I wouldn't break character and you fucked me up. So, I do want to know one thing. Does Ronald like the album Never Say Die? One of the first songs when they first started was Never Say Diet.
10 I love that. That they played, but then I think eventually they realized that there was better songs to play. Because I was kind of laughing. I saw somebody paying homage to Oz on the social media thing. I don't know which social media thing. But I was like, oh, it was a band. It was a band that was paying homage to Oz and they played a song off of Never Say Die at their set. I was thinking to myself, You might want to know Ozzy a little better than that because he used to say that was his least favorite.
59 He hated that album. You're going to dedicate a song off an album he hates? Oh my God, that's rude. You might as well have played Heaven and Hell. Oh, Heaven and Hellman's mayonnaise. Oh, man. Exactly. Exactly. I would like, here's what I'd like to see. I would like to see. Heaven and Hell might have been a good idea. Right? Yeah. Ronald could have been at Louder Than Life.
40 He could have been cooking up the hamburgers and sitting there and saying, hot, hot, hotter than hell. Not Heaven and Hell, but hotter than hell. Right here at Louder Than Life. You know, but I think you should bring a guest singer for your next tour, and I think it should be Jack Black. Give him a call. Did I tell you what happened with me with Jack Black? No. Oh, yeah. It made it all over the place, and Rolling Stones... he was doing bowling for Ronnie.
23 Okay. And I interviewed him on the red carpet and he started in the middle of the song singing neon nights, but he would sing one line and then do, he would have the mic sing one line and do this to me. He'd get pointing the mic back to me. I'm like, yeah. Okay. I'm not singing that shit. Like, I'll lose every listener I ever had. You know? That's not easy. That's not easy to do that. And at the end, well, it is if Facebook's involved because they just deleted everything I have. But, you know, that's another story.
04 And, but, you know, basically, after the air moves over, he's like, I was trying to get you to sing. And I'm like, that was the end of the interview. It was even in the interview he said that. I'm like, that's your job, not mine. I'll listen to you. If I were singing at Louder Than Life, it would be quieter than life because nobody would be there. Maybe the louder part would be the crickets. In fact, holy shit.
46 Now it makes sense. They weren't running from the GMO to the McSavis set. They were actually at my set. They were running from you because they thought you were going to start singing Neon Bites. Exactly. Exactly. I was going to start singing Pinball Wizard. With a drop E. You also have a headlining tour coming up. Is that right? In October? Yeah. There's about seven headlining dates. I think we're playing with some of those shows with Clownvis Presley. You know Clownvis?
36 He's the king of clowns. He's like an Elvis clown. Clownvis. Wait. Is he moonlighting? Is he like. Not making enough money and insane clown bossy because he has spent so much on Faygo that he has to do this. You should say that he actually does a lot of those events. He does a lot of those events. Um, Mac Sabbath toured in the early days with clown, this on a tour called clown power. Um, um, so this was kind of like a throwback from something that from like, from, from 10 years ago. And since then, uh, clown, this was very successful, uh, During 2020, he had a show called Columbus to the rescue on YouTube. That was a live show that he was kind of doing to, you know, for when people who were locked down to give them some relief of something to, to, to experience live. And for a while he was doing it every night and everybody was locked down. And I watched that show. Like that was the like highlight of my day was to tune into Columbus to So, and then, and then a couple of nights are, are with Dak Descantes. They can't, I think I'm pronouncing that right. Friends of ours that we have toured with before from Guadalajara. And that's just an incredible thematic stage show experience. I can't even explain
14 what it is. There's, it's like sexy Devo. What it is, but it's a male. Did you lose me when I said sexy Mexican Devo? Is that what happened? I missed the Mexican part, but I got the sexy Devo. So I was imagining what Devo was doing with their hats. But man, next Sabbath rocks. I think I'm pushing it. I think that's the, The McSabbath gods saying, okay, you're done. You're done. Yes, that was the McSabbath Minute. Thanks for being in it.
55 Oh, I love it. I don't even have to say anything else, except thanks for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man. And it was an adventure. I don't know if it was a good one, but it was definitely an adventure. It was adventurous. It was very adventurous, Pipe Man. It's good talking to you. It's always been a blast. Absolutely. Same here. Thank you for listening to The Adventures of Pikeman on W4CY Radio.
