04 Hey, you have done to censure? Wow, crazy you. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio and I'm here with Defrigate Nice here at Bloodstock. How does it feel to be here at this fucking amazing festival? Exciting, nerve wrocking. We're just not amazed we're here really doing it. Yeah, it's just like it's been such a it's been coming at us for about six weeks and then suddenly we're here. It's like, ah, it's like not even real yet either, right, I.

47 Don't think it'll be real until we're on the stage halfway through to so. Yeah, or maybe after this after because you'll be a zone when you're on the stage, so you'll be in like some out of body experience and then afterwards you're gonna be that really happen. It's just going to be a fever dream. Yeah, it'll be over once to me know it. And it was like, oh, that happens. So have you guys attended Bloodstock at all? I attended the first time two years ago, but Frisbee. Yeah, I was ten years ago my first Bloodstock. Nice and so what do you think of Bloodstock so far? Now? That you've been here as an artist. For those that have been here.

31 It's been a long time since I've been to a festival. And the facilities are so much better than they used to be here. Right right, you know, massively, because this is really like a family. We're one big family. I feel like when I come here, like I just came home, you know, to my family. How did it happen that you ended up here at Bloodstock? Yeah, I'll tell that, And so yeah, we did the Matter to the Masses competition for the Somerset area and yeah, so it's just it's been a whirlwinds because we've the first heat from that was about four weeks after our very first ever gig as a band, and so since then it's just been like wow, wow, wow wow, And suddenly we're hearing Bloodstock.

15 So yeah, it's it's absolutely wild nice. So what is it that form this great band here? Well, all. At the pup. Well that's a place to find if you're gonna do it, that's the place. It all stemmed from a board game that me and some friends played called Trench Crusade, and I was like, that looks like like a very cool black metal cover that black metal band out of it. Thus staph Bagaye was born. I love that. That's pretty cool. And so what moment in life for each one of you did you know that music was gonna be your life? Oh?

01 Since I first picked up a guitar at thirteen, always been a part of my life. Yeah, same with me. I've basically I've been playing drums since I was about thirteen as well, which was a long time ago now, so yeah, it's just I've been playing drums as much as I can since then in various bands throughout my life. And yeah, this is yeah, it's just crazy. Yeah, I was a bit of a late bloomer, but yeah, music has always been a huge part of my life. So to be actually able. To understand what how it is owns how I can do it myself with pretty nice. Similar to the rest of the guys, I picked up a guitar from a very young age and just like remember watching videos of like Van Halen being like ah, just shredding away and being like, that's exactly what I want to do. I've never been in a band before.

43 I think there's a few of us. I've never really been in bands before. Wow, So this is like our first go at it and we've just absolutely just come out sailing and it's just awesome to see. So yeah, I think I was five when I got my first CD. Nice. But I've never really done anything musically in cind until I started doing karaoke and someone was like, I should form a death metal band. There you go. It's a very special kind of karaoke. Yes it is, And a lot of people don't realize. They think death mels just screaming and noise, but it's actually one of the most technical, intricate music you can do. And I have but I have fucking the mad respect for any death metal singer because I can't even do that shit for five minutes. You have to really know what you're doing.

32 Oh they wind me up every time there's a gig about don't smoke protect your voice. Nice one, go ahead. The thing is, it's true though, you do need to because it's your instrumental as. Much exactly it. We call it character building. You could call it bullying, but it's definitely character building. Term is hazy. I think that's it, right, And like, yeah, he's the one that like doesn't have to do shit and load. Yeah, you've seen us before then, see. If you were to pick one death metal band, that is the one you would like, the first one that you'd say is like your favorite, which would be for.

18 Me Bolt Thrower, Easy Vader for me, uh, Plico Toxin. Oh he can say kind of a corpse. I was gonna say kind of a corpse as well. Yeah. Okay, well there's the winner. Then two votes. I vote Possessed because I was at their show in the beginning. Great choice in the very beginning. Now, some death metal now might not consider them death metal. Back then they were made fun of two like they were thrash metal, but they weren't really thrash like. They were made like they were a copy gas Layer. I don't think there're anything like Slayer. They're faster, more brutal, and that that death metal element added to it.

08 Yeah, I think that's not the genre, isn't it. That's that's just what the genre is. It's just Slayer, but faster and more brutal. Exactly exactly the perfect description right there. So what else do you want to tell the listeners that we haven't covered already? So, I mean, yeah, look out, we're looking to release a new album later in the year. So watch out for that one. I think that's that's the biggest thing we've got coming out this year. So and we're trying to break the Bloodstock record for the biggest wall of death of the New Blood stage. Nice. I want well as many people there for that. I'm holding you to that. Oh we will. Nice. Well, you guys fucking rock and you're going to do it with that wall of death. And thanks for being on the Adventures of Pipe Man.
