04 Hey, you dont you here? Cru Wow, pray you. This is the pipe Man here on the Adventures pipe Man W four c Y Radio, and I'm here with Doctor Hall. No, you can't grating Ringmaster Monty blitz Fist from Evil Scarecrow. See. I like when the band does it better because they do it cool, you know, And and then I don't fuck up the band name like yours. I can't screw up. You'd have to be pretty dumb to screw up that name. But I bet some media people have.
47 Some sung title Doctor He gets called Dr Evil d Evil from Austin. Oh. Yeah. It's really comedy when people, especially like written publication and stuff like that, just get certain song titles and names wrong. It just makes it funnier than it already is, right exactly. See. I think bands should like do songs like that. I think that I've heard one song by a band that they make fun of what all the press people call their names. I think every band should do that, because that'd be funny as hell. We're always looking for more funny. I look at us, you guys look really freaking cool.
28 We almost match, except I'm a different band. But it's the same idea. Because you see the back of my hoodie, it's like an that's pretty cool. I love it, and yours is fucking cool too. The pants I need pants like that. Oh my god, that's awesome. So for everybody listening, they have the coolest, coolest outfits here at all of Bloodstock. Wow, thank you very much. I appreciate it. Now you're gonna also be the best performance of all Bloodstock, right. Uh So I don't know the answer to this, So I'm asking have you played Bloodstock before in all these twenty five years that we're celebrating.
21 Yes, so we've. Done made stage a handful of times. The last time we played was a couple of years ago and we headlined the Sophie Lancaster Sade, which was nice thing for us, slight that the whole foundation being involved with Bloodstock means a hell of a lot. And to be able to headline that festival, it was one of my boocket lists for things to do in life, was to headline that that stage. I think that's one of the coolest things about this festival too, Like I have while being Pink tomorrow, but one of my bands here is real nice. That's the Sophie Lancaster one, you know, and what a great thing that Bloodstock does. Inclusivity of the place they underground, grassroots, championing you know, bands that are on such a lower level to get them to the point where they need to be. And that's all they've done since day one, and it's just so fucking amicable, like we love them.
08 For it absolutely, And you know, for those that are listening that don't know the story, Sophie Lancaster and her boyfriend were leaving walking home and they got jumped for being goth and she got killed. And it's absolutely fucking ridiculous that somebody should get killed just because of what they look like and how they dress, Like, who cares. If you don't like it, don't look exactly, go fuck yourself. But it's so cool what they do here a Bloodstock because they name a stage after the foundation is here all the time. And the coolest thing is all us metal heads that look evil and dark and we're black all wear pink tomorrow, you know, And that's the way it should be, because there was if.
00 There was a visual image to some of what this festival is about. It's that tomorrow exactly, you know, and you're you're guy dressed like that today because you got on here close in your shirt, I'm a lot. More colorful than I normally am. All the fake blood, which is yet I added a bit of pink in there for him. It's just a little bit of pink. Yeah, there you go? Is it? But is it real blood? It should be? It should be, yeah, exactly, kitten's blood. Right. So, tell our listeners a little bit about how you guys describe yourself as a band. I don't mean genre, but you. Know, corny, we're like a family man.
42 We're here, Yeah, we're like, we're like a family dude and antithesis of. The people who maybe take metal a bit too seriously, right, I think we're. Here to make people happy, to make people laugh, write some good songs along the way, and you know, forget how to play your songs. Can you laughing too much? Right? Exactly? This is the best time to do it with what the fox going off in the world at the moment. Kind of swear by the way you could say whatever the fuck you want, sorry. Yeah, So you know, people need a bit of laughter, you know what I mean? Absolutely, Like, you know, hope we make them all laugh tonight. And I love what you just said, because, like I stard in the eighties, like in the original Sunset Strip days and the gatekeeping shit was such bullshit, and like you're talking about metal heads taking themselves too seriously, that was definitely that time, you know. And there's still some of it now, but less and less.
40 We're trying to break through it like one one, you know, piece by piece, one one day at a time, just trying to have a little bit more fun each day and just just get rid of that nonsensical, negative bullshit. Well, this is where we escape all the bullshit in the world. Number one, number two. If you're not having fun in this industry, it's the wrong industry because everything else sucks. The fun part is why you're here, you know, and that's the beast place for it exactly. Bloodstock's definitely I do festivals all over to US, UK and Europe. Bloodstock is the most family oriented, inclusive fun festival I think in the world, and I love that the people that run it, they keep it family like that. So tell everybody how they can if they haven't heard your music, how they can check you guys out, get your merchu because they can't buy your and they can't listen to my show unless they buy your merch That's the rule exactly, because that's the only way you get to the next gig.
39 And I don't think people realize that. Yeah, so we have a website evill Scarecrow dot cut at UK. You can buy all much from there. I would recommend catching a YouTube videos playing one of our shows at Bloodstock because you kind of have to see it to believe it. That exactly. That's what's cool about you is like anybody could you know, write music and then just get up on stage and play it like they're playing the album. But live to me should be a performance that is entertaining, not just the music. It's a full sensory experience. You were recently having that conversation as well. And it's not to it's not to naysay against any bands in any way, shape or form. I love when bands are so close. To their albums and the musicianship is incredible. But we're kidding ourselves if we if we don't get a little bit bored halfway through. Yeah, you just stood in the same spot playing the music exactly as it should be played exactly.
29 Not overly inclusive. It gets a bit sort of like, well, okay, I. Mean we've had times where like things aren't start, things aren't worked, and then Doctael goes grave digger, do something, do something, do something on the spot. So I started playing a bit dranduran, there we go. That's how random. We are nice. And the fact is live music shouldn't be perfect. You're right, that's why you're making in the studio. To make it perfect live you took your humans wats and all. Yeah, exactly, you know. Like you know they wrong with a bit of imperfection. Exactly, and you know what, people appreciate it more. I remember, way back nineteen eighty three, Van Halen was headlining the US festival Okay, David Lee Roth. They were playing talking about love and he wasn't singing, and Eddie looked over him and he just went to like three hundred thousand people, He's like, I fucking forgot the words, and the whole place cheered like it was the best thing ever. And then one person heckled him and he turned to him typical no, he goes, I will fuck your girlfriend.
38 He said. We so see, there it is. That's the way it should be, and that's why I love that you guys are here at Bloodstock because you are going to kick ass and it doesn't matter about the perfections and there's that we all have fun together. Well, thanks for being here and thanks for being on the adventures. Yeah, thank you so much for having me. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of Pipement on w fur c u I Radio M
