04 Hey, you're listening to Adventure on W4CY Radio. This is the Pipe Man here on the Adventure's Pipe Man W4CY Radio, and I'm here with. CJ Pierce from Drowning Pool, and... Me. I'm Combs. Yep. Laverne and Shirley. Starsky and Hutch. Mrs. Spock and Captain Kirk. Wait, stop right there. What can you tell me about Captain Kirk right now that's happening right now? He went out to space for real, and he cried.

45 That's old news already. Oh, what's going on right now? Well, he's got to have one of his kidneys removed. Did you know that? He looked like he knew. Oh, I thought you knew. What's going on with Captain Kirk? William Shatner. The great William Shatner. The great 95-year-old William Shatner. He's one of my favorite actors. 95. I love William, bro. I watch his shows religiously, bro. He's funny to me. Everything that comes out of his mouth to me is hilarious. Well, and the way he says it, which goes with what I'm about to say. Yes. A couple weeks ago at Riot Fest, he debuted his new heavy metal band. And he has an album coming out It's called What the F is Heavy Metal.

27 And he's, oh my god Dude, he's done other stuff, he's done other music I am a William Shatner fan Like you would not believe, bro I'm a closet case William Shatner. I got through college on Star Trek That got me through college. I don't even like the other Star Treks. Only the James T. Kirk ones. Just his, man. He is like... His delivery, that pause... Well, that's what he did in singing. He was like doing the cover of a Metallica song. And... You know, he has his band, and they're called The Fuckers. It sounds like something he would do. You know, Dolly Parton just did that metal record right before she unfortunately passed away, and she did so many great songs on that. I was blown away. It's like 50 freaking cover songs she did.

10 So for William Shatter, Bill, if you know him personally, I can't wait to hear this. Are you allowed to call him Bill? Personally, in my dreams. In my dreams, it's Bill and me. So, wait until you hear what happened, too. But first, he brought up Dolly Parton. I saw a thing with Dolly Parton recently that she was very.... Awesomeness is happening. Captain Kirk to Dolly Parton in an aftershock. I love this interview already. Not one fucking question yet. It's all about Captain Kirk and Dolly Parton. This is my favorite interview ever.

53 Wait. Robert Plant is about to enter the interview, okay? Oh, good. Robert Plant is one of my favorites. All right. So Dolly Parton was in a video before she died. Yeah. And she wanted to get permission to do a cover of Stairway to Heaven. And she was totally scared to reach out to Robert Plant because he's Robert Plant. Right. She's the only part. Exactly. Robert Plant, dude. That cover is so great. And Robert Plant. I mean, to us in the metal world, Robert Plant is Robert Plant. But she is also Dolly fucking Park. Yeah. And so you know what happens, Robert Plant? He just like said, sure. He's like, you're Dolly Parton.

34 He's like, you're Dolly Parton. Exactly what I just said. Yeah. So he said that. All right. But to me, Ryan McCombs is a modern day Robert Plant in my book. All right. That is the most fucked up thing I think I've ever heard. That's, you know, when I look on stage sometimes, I'm like, I love Led Zeppelin. And I look over and I'm like, that's my Robert Plant. That's Ryan McCombs. And I really mean that. The songs that I write, you haven't heard the new stuff I want to throw at you. It's very Led Zeppelin-y. Led Zeppelin-ish. Which Led Zeppelin-ish, though? There's a lot of Led Zeppelin-ishes. Like each album was like a different genre pretty much. Houses of the Holy. Okay, there you go.

14 I'm in that zone in my brain when I think about Ryan McComb as being my, you know, rabbit plant. So Kirk did have demands. There was a rider. He was on Good Morning America. It was getting promoted. And so he had this rider. James T. Kirk. In order, in his contract, in his contract to perform. This is the greatest interview I swear to fucking God. Right? It is. You bring it every now and then. Pipe man. Pipe man rules. I love you. I love you too, man. Oh my God. So one of the things was he had a ship renamed after him so he could once again captain a ship. God damn right. They fulfilled all his demands. Another demand was he didn't want a golf cart to take him to the stage.

00 He wanted a DeLorean. Did he get a DeLorean? Did William get a DeLorean? And then. That's fucking awesome. You're 95. It's like, hey, I'm the captain, son. Give me what I want. Exactly. That's awesome. And then he wanted, like, the. The car didn't get that shit. He wanted a bunch. The car didn't get it. It's a wheelchair. Kurt got it. That's what. The car got a wheelchair. You gotta ask. You don't ask, you don't get. He also. He got a wheelchair. He get it? Yeah, I did. I did it. I did it. See what he did there? We'll pull you. Sorry. Go ahead. We'll roll your ass up on there, Picard. You roll up on a wheelchair and William Bill will come up in his DeLorean.

41 How freaking cool, bro. I can't wait to hear this record. I'm going to describe it to you. I'm going to describe it to you. There were some other important things like a bunch of puppies for dog rescues at the event in its dressing room. Man, that's good. Wow. Certain kind of sausage for catering. I probably made it the dogs. A variety of sausages made from. Let's not go there. Why do you have to go there? Why do I do it dark? I'll be sausage. And then, good morning, America. Like, they listed off everything. And he goes, and they forgot one. He goes, and don't forget my bowl of sauerkraut. Because apparently, sauerkraut's supposed to be the key to longevity in life.

31 I eat sauerkraut all the time. Well, then you're going to be 95 starting a metal band. Ah, shit. Yeah, I thought I was going to do a polka. Polka, polka. A polka band at 95. You're going to be like 75. In a band with Mike and Steve. My great-grandmother was 102 when she passed away. My grandfather was 99. So I think I'm cursed with longevity. Oh, well, there you go. You think this is fun? How many wives am I going to have by then? I'm on my third wife and four kids. Jesus Christ. I'm only 53. That's another lifetime of. That's three more wives and eight more kids. You got to be like Abraham and be... You got to be like Abraham and have a kid when you're like 95. I still got another one that works good.

17 Are you sure? Yes. You hesitated there. You hesitated. All right. So here's what it sounds like when Captain Kirk sings Metallica. Yeah. Show me. Take us off. To never, never land. Perfect! He did that. He did it like he does it. That's how he does it. He has this great pause. Yeah. The delivery, it's accent on Foo-a-fighters. Is it the Foo-a-fighters? Ladies and gentlemen, the Foo-a-fighters. Folks, we are here today. Today we are here with Drowning Pool.

04 Ladies and gentlemen, let the bodies hit the floor. One, there's nothing wrong with me. Two, there's nothing wrong with you. That more sounded like it might have been like Vinny Goombatz from New York. Yeah, I just got it kind of more. If my William Shatner was from New York, he would sound like that. Exactly. I like to think of my William Shatner as like a mafia boss. I like to think of my William Shatner being like a A very free-minded unicorn flying around outer space with like a jet pack and. A lot of carrots. Just like a bunch of carrots, like a backpack of carrots.

45 I want to hang out with William Shatner. I cater like a cheese fountain with four kinds of cheeses. And I'm eating cheese with William Bill Shatner. What kind? What for, man? I like smoked gouda, mozzarella. Smoked Gouda because it's fancy, bro. Watch out. I like the Colby Jack, but I don't know if that gets melted the right way. But cheddar for sure. You got to go Pepper Jack, too. Get a little spice in your life. Oh, Pepper Jack with some Tony Sacheri on top. Yeah, so Pepper Jack, smoked Gouda, mozzarella. One more. One more. Give me one. Of the fancy ones. Brie. Nigel with the brie. Hello, Nigel. Bring the brie. So how is Danny Wimmer catering anyway? We haven't been there. We just drink. Um.

25 Oh, well, you might want to. It usually is good. I mean, we've done many of these over the years. Danny Wimmer puts on the best shows. Thank you, Danny. Why does he like Drowning Pool better than any other band? Does he? Well, look at how many times you're at the Wimmer Festival. We're at a lot. Of them i mean well today's not gonna be here if they don't like. Headlines sometimes you're going first we're easy man like you just you call me with that we do bar mitzvahs poop artists you know how easy it is to book your animal you want a pool party at your house and i've done this. Before hey man will you come play my pool party? Yeah. It's a birthday. Nice. For real. I just like playing music. No. Brian's going to be there. He says no now, but he's going to be at your house, at your pool party. At the low price of like 500 bucks, bro, I'm easy.

10 I'm going to steal your shit. Okay, so what if this happened to you, and boys. Stop the goddamn hammering for the love of God. Boys, I have an idea. You and I, we're going to go out and we're going to go on tour. Are you talking about Drowning Pool? Yeah, Drowning Pool and the William Shatner Heavy Metal Band, the fuckers. I would open up for them, the fuckers. Dude, we would go on tour with William Shatner. If you know somebody, hey, people listening, call William, tell him Drowning Pool loves him, and we will tour with William Shatner. I would stick an ice pick in your fucking ear right now.

50 No, somebody make a call. I would tour with William. Come on, man. So, how do you get on top of that? I don't know. And time's up. That was great. Thank you. Thank you very much. I don't know what to say after that. This is the greatest interview of my life. It really is. You top it every time. Dude, thank you. You have no idea. This is genuine. You want to know what's going on with Drownable? There's a magic answer box in your hand. And you ask the computer, hey, what's going on with Drownable? It can tell you. We don't need to tell you about this. We need to talk about this record coming out. And Dolly Parton's metal record that she had just put out got Restless. Soul, her sweet, sweet soul on I think you guys should come out with a new album.

34 Hey! I think you guys... It's not. A way to make a living. It's a sucking way to make a living. That was pretty good. Maybe you should perform that. I want to do a Dolly Parton... Bro, you have no idea how I'm trying to push that on my band right now? What are you trying to push on the band? Dolly Parton cover! Jolene, Jolene, Jolene! This is what I've learned. There's a text thread that I'm a part of and a text thread that I'm not a part of. Well, we're going to do like a sponsorship. It's Goline. I'm not a part of that. We're going to do a sponsorship. Goline, Goline. Goline. Buy the Goline. Put it in my grave. It's clean for you and me.

14 I don't even know how to top that myself now. This has been great. The rest of your day is downhill from. Here, bro. I mean, you did ruin it. You did ruin it for everybody else. Because you're so fucking good. We're having fun. Oh, look at that. Oh, man. That's why you're always at these festivals. Because we have fun, man. It's a house party. It's a barbecue. That's what music is. That we bring to the table. Even though we go on stage as professionals, it's still like you're in my living room. When we go on stage, it's like you're at my house. If my living room was as big as the Danny River space that we have out front, I would invite all y'all to my house if the record label ever gave us any money and I would buy a house that big instead of have a rental house and a leased car. But anyway, my dream is to be here like you're at my house, and we're barbecuing for you on stage as professionals, putting on a good show. And that's what Dreadnought Pool brings to you.

09 Okay, then I have another idea. You have to go on tour with the Foo Fighters because then Dave Grohl will be doing the barbecuing. He would be. You know, I hung out with him and he did barbecue because, you know, Ride for Dime and stuff happens. Dime bash. I got to show you pictures of me and Dave Grohl. In the pool. Nice. With my wife. And then everybody's like, hey, I'm going to get some shots. So I went inside. It's like Dime's house. So I go in the kitchen like the pool boy. We're the pool boys. We're the pool boys. I go inside to make a big tray of shots. Everybody's in the pool. And I bring them out like traditional, man. And here I'm doing shots with Dave Grohl and Rita and all these other famous musicians. And I'm like, what is my life? It's pretty good. I can't complain. I can't complain. I was at Dime Bash and he was right there cooking up all the food. Yeah, man.

52 He's a grilling fool, man. He smells like meat and cheese. I love Dave Grohl. There you go. He smells like beef and cheese, like Santa Claus. What's your thoughts? What are your thoughts, Ryan? In general? No. Wherever you want to take that. It's your world. I'm just living in it. I don't like the color purple. Okay. Not the movie. Just the shade of purple. Is it all shades of purple? You can't see it. It really is. I don't like lavender. I don't like purple. I don't like... I don't even like fucking mauve. Brian's favorite color is gray. It is nice. I think it's Brown because the Browns won against the Pittsburgh Steelers. And this guy, I never heard him yell so loud. I'm on stage with this guy for like 20, 25 freaking years, you know, off and on.

41 And here we are now. And I never heard him yell so loud as I've heard him yell at a Browns game when they've They beat the Pittsburgh Steelers. Browns fan, man. That's a miserable existence and everything. So you start winning and shit. It's weird, man. I know that feeling because I was a Giants fan all my life, and they sucked most of my childhood. Like, we're the team that fumbled a kneel to lose the Super Bowl. I know, man. I was a Saints fan since they won. Oh, a kneel? Yeah. Joe Pasarczyk. Joe Pasarczyk. The ball hit his knee. He had a big knee. He had a big knee. You know, he got one big knee. He hit the wrong knee.

22 He had a big knee. Yeah. Blame it on his one big knee. I would say it was his knee. If you had to. Say what part of the snake it was, what would you say? I'd say it was his knee. What part of that is Nicky eating? Dude, I grew up with the Aints. My dad took me to football in the Superdome in like 77, 78 when they first started. And my dad's like, hey, put this bag on your head. This is football. The Aints. And he wrote the Aints on it. So I'm wearing a bag on my head. I'm like eight years old. I'm like, what is this? Usually his dad would try to get him to put like a plastic bag on his head. Plastic bag. Just suck on this for a little bit, son. Was Archie close? Was Archie quarterback, man?

06 Archie Manning, bro. I got a signed football from Archie Manning, bro. Nice. He threw a football at me and hit me in the face. I was like the retard kid and I didn't catch it. My dad got Archie Manning to throw me a football. I can't make this up, man. I'm a special kid. What do you say nowadays, dude? I don't know. Autistic. I guess I'm the autistic kid that got hit in the face by a football. Neurodivergent. Neurodivergent. Neurodivergent is what my wife says now. Yes. Neurodivergent sounds professional, like I'm a scientist or some shit. Yeah, exactly. I'm a neurodivergent space explorer. Well, think of it. Sheldon is a scientist, so it makes sense. It makes sense. Sheldon Cooper, yes. He's a scientist. Did you know that?

46 He's a neurodivergent scientist. No. This is the greatest interview of my life. Thank you. I'm going to write this down. When people say the best interview, I have to question the pipe man right here. And Aftershock. And Drowning Pool. 2026. Oh. I live across the universe. Multiverses. I love the fact that he's looking for what year it was. 20... 20... 26! Right. I live in the future. I live in the past. Whatever. I don't live in the past. I live in the future. What year is good? I'm a space man. What year is good in the future? 2028 is pretty good, too. And also 2031... Wait, but.

27 Wait. The end of humanity is supposed to be the end of this decade. So how are we going to be in 2030? Well, if they stop messing with computers, bro, and go back to sticks and fire and rocks, like basic stuff, stop messing with the computers. Did you see Terminator 2? Did you see Terminator? Exactly. There's a kid's show called The Mitchells. Did you ever watch The Mitchells? Stop effing with. Don't build more factories and computers. Destroy. You know what? Destroy the plastic. Destroy the plastic computers. Destroy your hard drives. Go back to four-track recorders, eight-track recorders. I want tape. I want shit on tape. I don't want anything on digital. Destroy digital.

07 Now. Hey. And then the computer's going to come get me. But then what would all the young bands do if they can push a button? Suck. Well, that's true. I'm not going to argue with you there. The computer ruined everything. People, society. The biggest thing is that the powers that be created a society that sucks. And here we are. We have to follow the Roman Empire. So the water supply was coming down and they took the bricks and stuff. He's from Men in Black to come get. He's about to grab me because I said something. He's coming for me right now. He's coming for me right now.

48 Hey, computers, I was just kidding, guys. Don't kill me yet. You were talking about the multiverse. Nobody's supposed to know about the multiverse. It was the monkeyverse I was talking about. Did I say multi? Multi monkey? It sounds the same. How about Monty? Multiverse. I'll stick with that. I love you, man. Thanks for dealing with me. You're my best friend. This is why people should come to your live show because you just have a good time. You just have a good time, man. You had a rock show. You know what? Check out your house. When we walked in here, I saw you. It made me feel good. Well, thank you. I was looking forward to talking to you because we always have the best time. We just took it to the next level, bro. You guys came in. I saw you. And then you went to somebody else. I'm like, what the fuck?

32 Why did you come to me first, bro? Because there's a schedule or something, man. Oh, I know. You were late. You were late, by the way. But that's you're on time. You're on time. Stop being a backyard party band on stage and be professional. Makes no sense to me. I'm on stage having fun. You should have fun. Right. Come to my house. You have a good time. You had a rock show. You checked out of work. You're here in a field of grass. And it could be, you know, cows used to come here and piss and shit on the ground. You had to have fun. What the fuck is she wearing? That's not a fucking skirt. She's not wearing anything. Okay, now, now. I'm distracted now. Now, now. It's 2026. You got to be careful.

15 PC time now. Watch out. You got to be careful. Okay, that brings me to a question. That'll be our final question. Okay. When you said let the bodies split the floor, did you mean it? Yes. We're going to carry this motherfucker on. When I said let the bodies split the floor, did you mean it? I did, but they always catch them. They don't listen to the song. Let the bodies split the floor means jump off the stage. You just make a big hole. No, please catch him. I haven't done enough song lawsuits. What's the question? What band in your lifetime, if they were around now in 2026, would get cancelled? Mozart? Even though he's a genius? Why would he get cancelled?

56 Because he's just too good. Nobody wants to hang out with Mozart because he just smokes you. You, Ryan? He's thinkin'. He's thinking. There he goes thinking again. I hear that Jeopardy music. They're on stage tonight at Public Enemy. Yeah, I want to go see them. Yeah, same here. Same stage. When we got here this morning, they were doing soundcheck. I was like, they were doing like certain little aspects that I heard. I was like, right. I heard it too. They were on the bill. So, like, just before we went on, I saw they were playing on the same stage, main stage tonight. And I was like, holy shit, fucking Public Enemy, man. But, yeah, I mean, when you think about how political their songs were back in the day, they would never let that shit fly today because they could keep you in the fucking dark.

48 They'd never let it fly. No, fuck that. So, yeah, Public Enemy. That's a good one that you picked there. In fact... Was this this morning? Dude, thank you for the William Shatner. This was this morning when they were what you were just talking about when they were soundchecking. They were soundchecking and we were on stage trying to get our stuff together. And you got it on film. With a couple hot girls. And these girls with the boobs. They're right up there. They're the bartenders. They all have boobs. They're the bartenders. Right up there. Right up there. Oh my god, that's who you're hanging out with. What's up, friends? It really is. It really is. Look at that. So, we're drawing a pool. We play at the Bison floor. Come see us play. It's a backyard barbecue, but we're still professional.

29 Tune in. Pipe man. It's been awesome, dude. It's been totally awesome. And now you can go up to those girls and get some alcohol. I bet I don't. I bet I don't. I want to stay at this table all day long. I just want to talk to you through the other interview. I want to see what happens next. I know, right? Tell me how fun your next interview is. Have you seen... Look at those pants over there. I want those pants. You see those pants with the frilly things? Yeah. With the frilly things? With the frilly things. I think we should put on short whitey tighties and frilly things for the next show. Do it. I like frilly things. I dare you. Hey, man. I'm free balling. I don't think you'll do it. Free balling. Because I'm free. Free balling.

10 Yeah I got my guitar in front you can't see the balls anyway but my guitar smacks against him and I'm like. Ow that guy hurts I was gonna say that would hurt well I gotta. Take one off anyway alright brother thank you man this has been a great session thank you it's fun for. Me it has been it always is you guys are a blast that. Guy looks like he'd twist somebody's fucking head. Off oh yeah he'd fucking he would just crush your head in two seconds man He would. Crush my head inside of his armpit, and the last thing I'd smell is his armpit, and then my head would be crushed, and it would be like, oh, my God, this is terrible. That would be a horrible way to go. That's not. Drowning in a pool would be the horrible way to go, because it's like, oh, my God, CJ from Drowning in a Pool, drowning in a pool, that would be the worst headline ever.
