04 Hey, you have done too here censure wow, crazy you. It's the pipe Man here on the Avengers Pipe Man W four c Y Radio, and I'm here with You're. Here with Argan. You've got Mike and Ben. Nice here at Bloodstock. We're so happy to be here. Man. We've been looking forward to this for so long, anticipating it for so long, and we're finally here and we still can't believe it. Right, it's the listen. I do festivals all over the US, UK and yourpe and this is one of my favorites because we're like a family here. You've also, in all the years I'm doing it, I've never met an asshole here.

49 You know what, I absolutely agree. And I was thinking this last night. That's coming back from a toilet last night I went to the cubicle and everyone's coming back to the campsign. Everyone's drunk, and I stopped almost have stopped and spoken to about ten people. Everyone's just so nice. Everyone just wants to talk and have a good time. And I've made We've all made so many friends. We made Mays for Live in the last two days. You know, I have more friends here than I do at home. So many people are just so friendly man. And it's not just band members were spoken to, just punters at the festival. Were made friends with so many people. Having all you guys in the media, and we're welcome to us in we've got nothing planning year we. Are with. Exactly. It's like even this morning, like I'm walking in from parking and I got my heavy backpack with all my equipment, and a colf cart just pulled over and picked me up, and me and him became friends and he's like, you need a red I'm like, sure, that doesn't happen at the festivals I do in the States.

46 They just drive right by you. You know, you could be hitchhiking and I'll drive right by you. We when we pulled into the camping, it's sorry, into the car park, this guy stood there, the warden whatever. We're pulled in. He goes, okay, you can just park over the gorgeous and we're like, oh, he likes us, and we park up. The next ten cars to come through is like, anyway you want to park gorgeous right over there? To me too, I don't feel special anymore, but I appreciate that you're so nice. Exactly. It's consistent. Listen, I'd rather that than what I see sometimes at festivals where they don't have a smile and they're like, where are you going? Well, look at my parking paths. Okay, go over there, follow my colleague. But yeah, it made me feel good this morning. First thing I'm getting, hello, gorgeous and he said something else that is driving away.

42 I can't remember now, but it was on that same realm. It was like, you know, I mean, like, you know, he's about being fake about it, because he would be fake saying that shit. You know. It's just so nice man, Yeah, I like you say, people are so nice. It's great. It's such a great atmosphere. It's not even the same across the board, you know, like the other festivals that go to in the UK. Yeah, people on as nice. But Bloodstock is like one big family, right, We're just happy to we'll be here together and hang out. They literally pride themselves on that, you know, I mean exactly. All the news articles and stuff is just always bringing it back to that family orientated. Vibe, right, all of one million percent. And the thing is too, is that, like I saw Vicky hunger Fern in a post, somebody answering her question, are you gonna become more like download? And she didn't even hesitate, she said, absolutely fucking not. They do their thing, and they do it. Well.

41 We're a family festival and it's gonna stay a family festival. Yeah, it's four the people. I mean, it's I'm pretty sure it's like a like one of the slogan's. Right, yeah, from the people, for the people, from the people. Something like that. It's the people. Though. No, hopefully after tonight Dan will be in the circle of the fat man. You're already in the family might being here. Yeah, we were so so grateful to be here. Anyway, we recognize that it's a fantastic opportunity and we're so grateful for that. But if we could be invited back at any time to do anything, we'd be so happy to do that. You know, it's just come and chat with you, man with right. Listen to this tent earlier today and a little bit nervous because we kind of out of that element here.

21 Walk in. You can't see you right now because this is an audio thing. But there's like ten desks in here. Everyone's on laptops. Everyone looks super busy. We walked in a bit nervous. And the last day as well. Everyone everyone's sick of everyone. Yeah. Right, we walk in and it's like, yeah, go and speak to that guy. We come over and we speak to yourself, and you know, you're more happy to speak to us. And we didn't think it'd be that easy. Like you just invited us to come to chat, and we're like, this guy doesn't know who we are and he wants a chat with us. It's awesome, man. And that's a way it should be. Like in a state. You know, one thing about press, not from your perspective as the artist, but mine as press, it is they don't help each other like they do here. Like I have more friends in this precedent than I have any in the festivals I've been doing for years in the States, and they're always coming over me, Hey, you want to talk to this band, and it's partly helping me, partly helping the band. It's like they go out of their way, whereas we're more like competitive, which I think is stupid, Like who cares? Like what I get an interview, it's going to ruin your interview? Come on, okay, you know, or to disrespect sometimes like, you know, there's busy schedules for the bands, especially the bigger bands, and if you're long with your interview, it affects every other interview like a domino effect. And just how recently one of the bigger bands I'm friends with, the lead singer walks up

53 to me, says, hey, how's it going, and goes, are we going to chat today? I'm like, well, that's up to your tour man, because I have to respect to do it that way too. Everybody's got their job. So I go up to to our manager ask him and he's like, yeah, this one before he's only supposed to be a few minutes, and the one before me did an interview a month before with the same band. I don't do that, Like what else are you going to talk about? You know, a month later, and that takes away from other press people that never got to talk to him. So yeah, he's only going to be a few minutes, So yeah, it should be no problem. Fucking hour. This dude had an interview with somebody that he did an hour with a month before, And you don't do hours at festivals. It's not podcasts. It's like ten to fifteen minutes. If you're not busy and the band's not busy, maybe it'll go longer. But in the midday when it's like boom boom boom boom boom, max ten fifteen, maybe twenty, sometimes five, you know, and you have to respect that.

59 I had to at and also at another festival recently where I had fifteen minutes with band and the tour manager came over and said, sorry, the other interview took too long and they need you to cut it down to five minutes. At four point fifty nine, I said, I finished the interview, and I said, here you go respect respect for the other people you're working with. And that's something I find here too. With Metal to the Masses. It amazes me how much you guys are in a competition, but not in competition with each other. Absolutely, man, I mean I would say it earlier. We've made so many friends along the way, and yeah, it's a competition. But none of us think about it that. Now you win, everyone wins.

41 We all get and you all support each other and you're happy for each other. We all get to get together. We lift each other up. If one of us goes up, we all go up. You know, yeah, exactly, and so that's what's really cool that and it's cool that, you know, Bloodstock does it's metal to the Masses thing because it gives a lot of bands the opportun trying to be a festival because listen, some of my favorite bands weren't I find out about them at a festival. Yeah, I mean we've we've found some new bands this weekend, just like even this last night. We saw a band called Dose last night, super hardcore vibes kind of leaning more like a punk hard where I guess yeah, well we bumped into them, Mike actually here pumped into that. We were just walking back into the arena man, and we're like, oh, where you guys go in is We're about to go on stage. And it's like He's like, come a long chacks out and I was like, yeah.

27 We're there. Yeah, just casual as that. Yeah. Watching from the side stage as well, which is always on it always great, you know, feel a bit bit more special, you know, watching from the side stage and they take toy up. Man, if anyone's listening, like, go check out dates. They crushed it. That's nice. We must have bumped into them like three or four times afterwards as well. Now we're organizing a tour and. See, that's what's amazing about it and even what you just did. It's very rare that bands will promote other bands in their interview, and that's what you guys are all about. Yeah, we do love of the game. Like I say, if one of us comes up, we all go. Well. I'd love to give shout outs to more bands. I really would, but it's too many. I wouldn't want to. But we've had a great time this weekend and we've met so many new people. We've seen so many bands.

08 I personally have really enjoyed seeing some of the smaller bands like don't start coming up because I'm telling you now they're gonna they're gonna take off a little bit that they're gonna crushed it. They brought energy, everyone was super invested. It was one of those at the beginning of the death set, people watching, they weren't super involved, super invested, and then like twenty minutes in, everyone was going nuts. Man, like the guys. Guy's crowdsurfing. You know, people are chanting the name of clapping. Great. I love to see it, man, Yeah, great, guys, I'd love to see bands doing that. And one of my favorite parts of the festival this year was being in a marsh bit with dinosaurs. Yeah. I mean, fuck man, it doesn't get better than that.

50 One, right, Yeah, man, this is goofy. Everyone's having a silly time. It can't complain. Like I said the video to my daughter and she's like, what the heck, And that's eactly I said, what Like, we're just having Everyone goes. On the stage for the same reason, right, We're just there to have fun at the end, You're not. This is the wrong business. If you're not having fun. If we're having fun, then you guys are probably gonna have fun as well. You know, it's a transfer of emotion. If you're up there not having fun, how we can enjoy your for. Us to two step, marsh, pigsquill, you name it, fall over whatever. We were just there to vibe exactly. Exactly like you say, they see us doing it and they feel the connection they're doing it. Man, no doubt. I saw also the other day the security guards doing a circle pit. I'm like, what, that's fucking cool. You know a lot of times at festivals I do the security guards are way too serious about They're just fold yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly, you know. So it's like, I love when I see that ship. One of the security guards out outside the tent doesn't even like metal, and I saw her fucking bob in her head with what are the beds performing it? You know, it's and that's what metals all about.

06 Live atmosphere is completely different as well mine, you know, I mean it's she's that was an involuntary headbang by this sounds of one hundred. And that's not a person that would ever listened to the music in their car, you know, and now maybe they will. Yeah, it's like you don't even have to enjoy the music to say I mean, it's an environment, the atmosphere. Everyone everyone's having a great time. It makes you want to have a great time. How can you have a great time here and. You can escape all the world's bullshits? Right? I have a couple of people mad me because I haven't answered you know, Instagram messages and ship and I'm like, I'm not even looking at the fucking news. I don't want to know what's going on in the world. I'm here. We can't, buddy, and we can't. Yeah, yeah, that's what we've been telling the wives.

51 Anyway exactly, and it's like, you know, the ship that's going on in the world, they will be there. Yeah, it's I don't need to obsess with it over it now or ever for that matter. We got the weekend to forget about that kind of shit. Right exactly, and even the wives the. Very opportunity to let go and let's have a good time. Man, you no doubt, And that's what Bloodstock's all about. Absolutely tell everybody how they reach out to you guys on socials and buy your merch because they can't listen to my show. And let's say, buy your merch. They've got so many options. I mean, you can find everything from all down music dot com. If you want to go on Instagram, you can go on Facebook. You can find us on Spotify, Amazon, I'll pull anywhere any find music.

37 We are there. You will find us, well, say all down Music, You'll find anything that you want on them. I noticed something else you guys have in common besides your music. You like animal tattoos. Yeah, yeah, I wish there's a camera right now. I've got a red panda here. I know that one staring at me the whole time. That one's pretty cool. I've got more. And then I saw my dog. Yeah, that's yours, right, love, Mike's dog. MIC's dogs are the best. But they are very big. They are very strong. They knocked me down. Now, hopefully the snake doesn't eat your dog. Oh you lead the snake, man, I can guarantee. I've got a blue staff in an English bull terra.

18 Man. They're just hounks of muscle. Man. They just and you know what to most people to be terrifying, and they are. The first time I went to Mike's house, Mike in biting me over to his house, who's some recording a little while ago. He opened his living room door and he's too giant, just honks of meat. And they are dense. They look fat, they're not. They're just dense, pure muscle. And they charged me. They knocked me straight at my ass and I'm laid on my back. First time over at Mike and his for refere He's used to laying on his back. They knocked me strong, right on my back and yeah, and I was like, Mike, Mike, your dog's eating me. Come the're soft.

00 It's just like metal heads were like these evil, scary looking people that are big teddy. They say their own is a lot that pets right exactly. There you go. Well, thanks for being here at Bloodstock. Thank you, thank you. This has been a great time. Well that's the best compliment I can ever get, because press isn't always enjoyable. I say, if you, if you're free at half seven, man, come and throw down with us. Will be there to party off seven to eight. I love it. I love it. I love the style of interview. Man. Before we get off, obviously, before you hit record, you said it's not really gonna be a standard interview. I haven't got prepared questions, have a chat, and I love this, man, this has been a great the only. Way it should be, man, because listen, a couple of reasons. One is you don't need to be bored the fucking depth you're an artist. Yeah. Second, if you're not a metal head, you shouldn't be interviewing people. And it's a non metal head, non punker that needs a script like I don't need it.

54 I was gonna talk about what's going on, man, talk about the vibes this weekend. It's been great, and no say thank you so much. This has been a great time. My pleasure. Thank you for being on the Adventures of pipe Man and wearing a Dead Candy shirt. Thank you for listening to the Adventures of pipe Man on w for c u I Radio.
