The Calm Before the Storm: Your Final Warning About Money | Feat. Patrick Chandler

We are in the calm before the storm.

What do I mean?

There's an unprecedented opportunity to take advantage of a little bit of grace that's represented in the time of prosperity and the time that's coming.

And here's the thing, many of you missed your window.

We just had a big epic global pandemic.

And before it happened, the holy Spirit was speaking to many of you saying start the business, get out of debt, do what I've called you to do.

And you, you simply did not act on it.

And, and many, many other people became multimillionaires.

They became successful as a result of obeying.

And here's the good news and the bad news.

The bad news is another storm is coming.

The good news is this time God is giving you another opportunity to get wisdom in your life, but then also to take action.

And I'm very serious about this because I wrote a book called inherit your freedom that's all about breaking generational curses.

And, and many of you are under generational curses of poverty and lack.

And you have to be the breaker.

You have to be the first person in your family who says this may run in my family, but I am where it runs out.

Some of you even tried different things and you failed.

And God is divinely giving you another opportunity.

So it was prophetic I believe when you clicked into this video.

And so here's the thing, we know another storm is coming, but God is giving us an opportunity to not miss our window.

And, and so we're going to be talking about this, the fight, your financial situation.

We're going to be talking about what God is going to do in this time.

I believe that we're going to see an unusual amount of people amass large sums of money and by the way, not selfishly, but to be a river and not a reservoir.

In other words like to be able to fund kingdom initiatives and to be able to fund visions and to do various different things and God can do it through you.

But I brought an expert, somebody who I trust with my finances.

Somebody who had to log in into my personal account and saw every single transaction and helped me steward in wisdom.

I mean I'm talking those embarrassing purchases that you make, the things that I mean another he came in and saw that somebody who helps our multi site national church as we've hit fastest growing church in America category the last five years in a row and, and he's gonna speak into this situation and help you.

So my family has changed our situation exponentially as a result of his wisdom and Insight.

So guys, can you help me welcome Patrick Chandler.

So glad to have you here.

And you're representing Prospera and man, I'm just so thankful for you, man.

What's up, Pastor Mike, I am honored to be here.

We've talked about this for a while and I think you hinted towards it.

This is going to be the most impactful conversation that your audience has ever heard in their entire life.

Now, I know that's a bold statement.

You've had some amazing, amazing videos, but this is an area that the enemy does not want us to get it.

Right.

Right.

I really believe that when believers get this money conversation right, that it turns into the hope of the world.

We are able to plunder hell and populate heaven because of the resource management.

I'm so excited about our conversation today because we're going to give some nuggets, we're going to give some tips, but we're going to get super real.

We're going to break some generational curses that we believed around money.

We're going to give some practical systems to be able to win over the next four years to set up you and your kids, kids, as the Bible says, to be able to be a blessing on every occasion.

We're going to get really real.

We're gonna get really, really good.

I'm excited about it.

Yeah, come on.

And there's many of you watching right now are like, oh, I'd rather learn about different topics or whatever the problem is in the body of Christ.

We've spent more time watching teachings about lust than, than greed or mismanagement of.

And it's almost like many of you guys watching right now, you've gotten free from so many things, but the last area is your finances.

And God wants to do something in the area of finances.

And just in my life, I mean, I was raised by a single mother on welfare, the oldest of five kids.

She, you know, she got married multiple times.

I had abusive stepdads.

And I've come all the way to the other side and to the point where we're filling stadiums and writing best selling books and doing all these incredible things.

But th, it's always connected to finances.

Like you, whatever prophecy you receive, whatever dream God's given you that is connected to finances, you.

You cannot separate them.

So Patrick, can you just kind of break this down?

Like, you know, from your perspective?

You work with a lot of people, like what are the barriers, you know, what are the things that you could target and just even in this broadcast start to identify so that they can start that process of freedom?

Yeah, no, that's such a great question.

Well, the first thing Pastor Mike, you hit on this as we got kicked off with this video is the next four years is going to be the most important four years for your finances in your lifetime.

I know we have a lot of political unrest.

Some people are happy about the presidency, some people are not happy about the presidency.

But one of the things, factually and spiritually, what God has spoken to me is that the next four years is going to be the most integral and pivotal season of your life.

If you look at 2000, 2008, the pandemic, everybody focuses on the crash, they focus on the despair, they focus on the depression.

But what they don't focus on is the phoenix that rose from the ashes.

The companies that were birthed out of those seasons, the small businesses that aren't so small anymore, the entrepreneurs who believed what God told them to do.

And they started that business.

They started that podcast, they started that YouTube, they started that product based business that's adding value to people.

Over the next four years, it's going to be the most pivotal season of your life.

Either you are going to set up you and your family to be a blessing on every occasion or you'll be in a position where you're lacking and being a beggar for the rest of your life.

Now, I know that's hard, that's a hard pill to swallow.

But what I know and what I believe is that God gives us one wisdom and he gives us opportunity to be able to maximize God moments.

So if you're a businessman, if you're entrepreneur, if you're an entrepreneur, meaning you're working in somebody else's organization, you're these systems and principles apply to you.

If after these 4 years you have not 10x your net worth, if you have not increased your bank account, if you have not increased your generosity, after this call, this is going to be on you.

We're going to give you everything that you need.

Number one, this is going to be something intangible.

We'll get to tangible.

Let's talk about intangible.

What do you need to do to maximize the wealth that is going to be transitioned and transferred in this season?

Number one, you have to attack your mentality around money.

What do you think about money?

You may be saying, patrick, I don't think anything about money.

That's not true.

We all think something about money.

We know that from our upbringing, how we saw money handled growing up.

Pastor Mike shared his background.

My background is I'm a kid of an immigrant.

My dad came here, started his own job.

He was a minister and a pastor.

Never took a salary from the church.

He.

And there were some seasons that were pretty tight.

There were some seasons where we had abundance.

We were up, we were down.

We went from upper middle class to seasons of potentially being in struggle and turmoil.

And what happened in those seasons is that something was birthed in my heart and in my soul about what I believed about money.

Some of you on this call, you think money is evil.

You've believed the lie of the enemy that money is evil.

And we take that verse out of context.

We say money is evil.

No, it's for the love of.

Money is the root of all types of evil.

Why would God, he talks about this in Deuteronomy.

He gives us the power to build wealth.

Why would he give us something, a resource, that's evil?

Here's the truth.

We live in a fallen world.

So what God has created has been manipulated and morphed by the enemy to be used for manipulation.

So the first thing that you have to do is attack your mentality about money.

God.

What do you say?

I believe it.

If you said it, that settles it.

God wants to get resources into our hands so that we can get it into the places that it matters the most.

So money is evil.

Some of you have believed the lie that you'll never be rich.

That's for them.

That's for those people who are on YouTube, the streamers, the influencers, those who are in entertainment.

That's not for me.

Do you know what I come from, Pastor Mike?

You know what my background is?

You know what I've been through?

It is not for me.

That is a lie from the enemy.

Some of us believe that you don't need any more money.

A lot of us are in a place where I'm taken care of.

My mortgage is paid, my family's taken care of.

Why would I want to pursue and move into a space where I want more?

And here's the key.

When you're looking at your money mentality, if everything you believe about money is about your nucleus, my wife, my husband, my kids, my cousin, if we're okay, then we're good.

I want to challenge you to think beyond yourself.

When you're looking at what you want to do over the next four years, over the next lifetime, the legacy that you want to leave with finances, it can't just be about you and your loved ones.

It has to be about who is God sending to me that I'M going to have to build and amass as much wealth as possible to be able to honor God and.

And to be able to impact people.

So a big part, a big focus is going to be your mentality.

Pastor Mike, my question to you is, what are you seeing in that space of how the enemy is attacking believers and unbelievers and everybody in the space of how we think and view and see money?

Well, by the way, I mean, what you just did was so surgical and so many people needed to hear that drop in the comment section we right now and let me know what he said that hit you and what you're processing through.

Because for someone like me who is eating out of pantries and wearing every layer of clothing, I had to survive not having a heater functioning in the middle of the night.

Sometimes we could believe the lie.

And this is the lie from the enemy of like, oh, I'm not one of those people.

And I remember even being antagonistic and mean towards people who had money because I was like, you don't get me.

You don't understand me.

I never want to be like you.

And I think one of the biggest lies of the enemy, and I want everybody to listen and lean into what I'm saying right now, one of the biggest lies of the enemy that he got into the church is that there's something wrong with Christians having money because that kept us enslaved.

It kept us.

It really is.

It's a form of slavery because we weren't able to mobilize the things that God wanted to do in the next season.

So that lie, you know, and it's like, almost like, oh, I'm more godly because I'm poor.

Not recognizing the fact that Jesus Christ himself was not poor.

Judas was the purse holder, and there was finances coming in from various different places.

They cast lots for his garment, probably because it was a very significant garment that he wore, that it was worth something.

And I just simply do not see a poverty gospel.

I see.

I also don't see.

You know, people talk about the pro.

The prosperity gospel, but.

But here's the thing.

God desires for us to prosper even as our soul prospers.

And I believe that what happens is this when you.

When you become a believer.

It's like you.

God wants to bring health to your whole being.

He wants your mind to be healthy.

He wants your emotions to be healthy.

He wants your physical body.

We're the temple of the Holy Spirit.

But then he also wants your finances to be healthy.

And healthy things grow.

If you're faithful with little.

He'll make you rule over much.

And I don't know if you want to like share some of my business with everybody publicly, but like you, I remember I was actually pastoring two churches when I met you.

I was the interim lead pastor of a multi site mega church.

And I was the lead pastor of V1 Church, my church.

And so I'm leading two churches in America, flying back and forth across the country and you got into my personal finances and you were like, hey, it's your bank account's not the problem, it's your mind.

And you saw like, I was like, what?

I don't want the people to think this about me and you know, this and this and this.

And you did so much surgery on me in those early days.

I don't know if you want to like kind of tell on me because some people might be watching this right now thinking like, you know, that, like, I don't get it.

When it's like, no, no, trust me, I get it.

Like, I, you know, I was one of Patrick's first victims.

Let me, let me say this to everybody who's watching this.

This isn't an exclusive.

Let me tell you this.

People like Pastor Mike do not give access or space to be able to see behind the curtain.

That's why when you get on social media, you look at your favorite athlete, your favorite entertainer, they sell you their highlight reel, they show you the accolades, but they don't show you the low lows of what it takes to be able to build a full life.

When I started working with Pastor Mike on his personal finances, when one of the first things that I asked him was, hey, how did you see finances handled growing up?

And I'm not going to go into all the details, he shared some of that with him, but we actually had one of those kairos collision with heaven moments where it was an eye opening experience where he's operating at such a high level, multisite preaching all over the world, casting out demons, literally one of the most well known communicators of the gospel on the planet.

But then when I asked him, hey P.

Mike, do you know how many times you guys shop at Target?

He was like, I have no idea.

Hey P.

Mike, what are we doing for retirement?

Hey, what are we doing to be able to pay off debt?

What are we doing to be able to no longer be the slave in that transaction?

The Bible says that the borrower is slave to the lender.

I think for a lot of us, we're so caught up in trying to achieve what we feel like God has asked us to put in our life that we have negated the the conversation of financial health.

One of the things that was so exciting for me is when we started talking with Pastor Mike about his finances, many other areas of his life changed.

I don't know if you remember this, Pastor Mike.

It wasn't just a financial transformation.

You changed your eating, you changed how often you worked out.

You became a healthier person.

Because in those principles and practices of your life, it started to illuminate other areas of your life that were out of balance.

See, what finances does is it shines a life on, not just your financial area of your life, but your entire life.

Because it's about purpose, it's about vision, it's about seeing what's next.

I think one of the exciting things was as we took Pastor Mike on that journey of just self realization of okay, God, where am I and where have you called me to be?

Then you saw Pastor Julie come on board.

Then we saw your kids have conversations and it became a multi generational conversation.

So it wasn't just a eureka moment for Pastor Mike.

It's going to have generational effects.

That year after year.

I remember one of the conversations we had.

I don't even know if I can share this, but I'm going to share.

Go ahead, go ahead.

I'm just booked now.

Our favorite friends, right?

I remember we were talking about the conversation about life insurance.

And it was one of the most deep conversations that I've ever had with any client.

And Pastor Mike began to walk through what his lineage had looked like in the area of life expectancy.

His dad, his uncle, his grandfather.

And as we started to unpack some of those things, I just saw the hope come back.

He was like, patrick, you're right.

I do need to get my life insurance in place because I'm going to live a long and fulfilled life.

I do need to make sure that my assets are taken care of and that we have the proper trust, that we have the proper estate planning.

Because I'm going to live a long life, but I'm going to be a blessing to my kids.

Kids.

See, it's not just about the numbers in your bank account, by the way.

There's nothing wrong with that.

Run it up, do it for the glory of God, have a good life, buy the car, buy the home.

But what happens in that process of preparation is that you actually become changed.

You actually become more like Christ in the process of managing what he's given you.

We all know the parable of the talents.

One was given five, one was given two, and one was given one.

I wonder how many of us who are watching this Stream.

We're the 1 talent servant.

It's not that God hasn't given us giftings.

It's not that he hasn't given us ideas.

It's not that he hasn't given us motivation to be able to build.

But because fear of our past causes us to want to bury it, we don't want to lose it.

You know what that is?

It's a scarcity and a poverty mentality that comes from the pit of hell.

And I'll say this, and Pastor Mike, we can move forward.

You want to combat poverty and scarcity.

What is the antidote to that generosity?

Are you struggling?

And here's the key.

I know people with more money than you know what to do with more money, more commas in their bank account, and they still struggle with poverty and scarcity.

Because poverty and scarcity is not connected to what you have in your bank account.

It's connected to who you think the source of your resources are.

So your first thought process has to be, who is the God of my resource?

What is the purpose of this money?

And who do I rely on to be able to fulfill my purpose in this earth?

Pastor Mike, your story, one of the most impactful.

I don't even think you know how much you changed me as I was walking through the process of financial management with you.

I said, oh, these things are coming back to me in a way of aggression to be able to reinvigorate the thought of being an impact on every occasion in the area of finances.

Oh, well.

And there's some of you watching right now that you might be like me, where you're, you're ready to cry or you're like, man, why do I feel like I could actually cry right now watching this?

I'm talking male, female, young, old.

Let me tell you why, because there's a lot of emotions connected to this.

I remember in those early days, I was like, yeah, why do I need health insurance?

And the root of it was.

Or health, life insurance.

And the root of it was this deep seated idea that I wasn't even going to get.

I wasn't even going to be around for it to matter.

And it's like, this is the guy casting demons of depression and anxiety out of other people.

And yet when you looked at my choices, I, it was like, almost like I was doing the right things physically, but, but I still had mentalities that needed to be broken.

And a lot of you guys, you've never been fathered like this.

You've never been pastored like this.

You've never had somebody just blunt ask you the question, how was finances dealt with in your family?

That's why, remember I told you guys, watch throughout the entire duration of this video because your flesh is going to want to click off, then your soul's going to want to click off because that's your mind and your will and your emotions.

And the only per.

The only part of you that wants to watch this video is your spirit that's crying out.

This is the truth.

Here are some steps.

I need you guys to write this down.

I need you to send this to a family member.

I need you to send this to a friend.

I need you to rewatch this in community because this is going to change your life.

What's the first thing you need to do?

The first thing you need to do is get one month of your expenses in a savings account.

One month.

And you may say, patrick, oh, that's easy.

Not so easy.

Statistics show that over 90% of Americans, if a thousand dollar emergency occurred in their life, they would not be able to cash flow.

They would have to put it on a credit card.

They would have to ask a family member.

They would have to find that money somehow.

They don't have it accessible.

Once again, we talked about it.

The borrower is slave to the lender.

I promise you.

A lot of you didn't think that you were in slavery when you signed over for that Chase card or when you signed over to get that Mercedes Benz, but you literally gave over your freedom at that moment.

So $1,000.

Second, you need a budget.

You need a budget.

Oh, Pastor Mike, hopefully people didn't log off at that time.

When I said the B word, a lot of people think I just said a Curse word.

No.

Budgeting is not a prison.

What a budget is.

It gives you permission to spend.

Drop in the chat.

Permission, permission, permission.

A budget gives you permission to spend.

We'll have some resources and an opportunity for you to walk through the whole budgeting process after this stream.

But you got to have a budget and not just a budget that you look at, a budget that you use.

I'm going to give Some more statistics.

90% of people say that they have a budget.

Of those 90% of people, almost 100% of them are in debt and struggling financially.

So just having a budget clearly is not the catalyst to financial growth.

You need to have your first month expenses in a savings account.

You need to have a budget.

Next.

You need to get out of debt.

You need to get out of debt.

Pastor Mike and I could talk about this so long.

We don't have all day.

We have a spiritual stronghold here in America that is prevailing in the area of debt.

If I told you how many trillions of dollars of marketing ads are spent towards imprisoning us from a financial perspective, you probably honestly wouldn't be surprised.

But it's one of the highest marketed things in the world to get your money from you to large corporations because they know if they can get your money, they can get your heart.

The Bible talks about it where your treasure is that your heart is.

You need to pay off debt.

Next.

Three to six months of your expenses needs to go into a savings account.

It needs to go into a money market interest bearing account.

Don't just put it in your bank and you're earning 0.0001%.

That's not the wisest way to go.

Next.

15% of everything that you make needs to go towards preparing for retirement.

A lot of people say, oh Patrick, why am I worried about what's happening down the road?

It is a spiritual discipline to prepare for the future.

You may be on this call and you are a parent who is expecting your kid to take care of you in the area of retirement.

I'm telling you right now, that is an unfair pressure to put on the next generation.

Why put on someone else what you can do for yourself and to honor God with what he's given you.

After you prepare for retirement, then it gets fun, Pastor Mike.

Then you're preparing for college for your kids.

You're buying that dream home and you're able to be generous on every occasion.

Here's one thing that I would say.

When you walk through those principles and you walk through those systems, the fuel to the Fire to expediting all of those systems and processes is how fast can you increase your income?

I'm just going to give you this quick nugget and then that's it.

I'm just going to give you this quick nugget.

So good.

How do you increase your income which is going to help you to invest more, pay off more debt, to be able to put you and your family and everyone around you in a better financial situation?

I'm challenging everybody on this call to become the best in the world at what you do.

You may be saying, patrick, I'm a school teacher.

What are you talking about?

It's impossible for me to be wealthy.

I'm a firefighter, I'm a stay at home mom.

What are you talking about?

How do I become the best in the world at what I do?

I'm telling you, when you study and you dive deep into the expertise of whatever God has called you to be, there is wealth and resources on the other side of a stay at home mom.

Guess what?

Take your camera out and talk about your process of being a stay at home mom and look up in three years and see 150, 200, 500,000 subscribers on YouTube because you're pouring into people in the area that you've been gifted.

Are you a school teacher?

Don't just teach the kids.

What does it look like to pour into the kids in a deeper level, what does it look like to create curriculum for your area, for your state, for the country?

I promise you expertise and focus leads and generates more revenue and more income than you ever can imagine.

Walk through those steps.

Become the best in the world at what God has called you to be.

And wealthful father.

Oh, so good.

Oh, listen, I, the, the value that you all just got is insane.

And this is life changing.

And these are the kinds of conversations that don't happen normally at the kitchen table.

You could live a whole lifetime and never hear the information that just was dropped in the last couple of minutes.

It changed my life.

It changed.

And part of the reason why we're doing this stream right now is because of that calm before the storm.

And I, I literally preached a message which I'm linking it in the description.

And so this aligned prophetically with what God was showing me.

And you said like, hey, there's been an administration change in the White House.

No matter what people think about it, it is going to produce an unprecedented opportunity for wealth building.

And let me just say this.

There's an opportunity that everybody has watching right now to work with you, which I love.

And because I did that personally and paid for it out of my own personal money, like, you know what I mean?

It was literally like, this is signorelli money.

And.

But it was one of the greatest investments I ever made.

We're going to talk about that in a moment.

Whoever you are, poor is who you.

You'll be wealthy.

It's like people like, oh, I'm going to become generous when.

When I get.

Have a lot of money.

It's like, no, no.

Like, if you're stingy with a little bit of money, you're going to be stingy with a lot.

And it's so funny because I've.

Me personally, I've always been generous.

I love to give.

I was just telling my team I've given $25,000 this month alone in different things that I just felt like, distribution of food, you know, relief effort for places that were devastated by n.

Like by, you know, what do you call it?

Like a, you know, you know, basic different things.

But it was like, the thing is, I remember having no money, Literally selling my clothes and raising money so I can.

I can come to New York to help hurricane Sandy relief victim.

So I was generous with no money.

And as God's increased my finances, all it did was increase my ability to give more.

And so I think that, like, right now there's many of you who might be like, well, I don't know how much I can give.

I don't know how much I can do.

Like, I don't.

Whatever.

It's like, I'm so thankful because I had a single mother, but even on food stamps, she was like, we're going to have a book budget.

Like, like, we're going to buy books.

And my mother would buy books and I would read those books.

And it was increasing my wisdom and my knowledge, and I grew.

Now I have my own college that's going through accreditation, and we have students from 16 nations.

And I really believe.

And I've graduated from college myself.

I'm in a master's program right now.

My point is, it's like smokers have a cigarette budget no matter how poor they are.

It's like people.

Like, when I grew up in the hood, it's like, if somebody was addicted, they always had enough money for alcohol.

They always had.

So here's what.

Here's the thing.

I finally got to the point where I was like, I have to make an investment in myself and in my family's finances.

The Bible says a good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children.

So, like, the definition of a good man according to the Bible is that you leave it of inheritance to two generations.

And so I was like, you know what?

I.

By that definition, I'm about to preach all over the world and minister to everybody else's family and leave my family nothing.

And I was like, so I'm not a good man by that definition, so I want to leave an inheritance to my family's family.

And so that's when I made this massive investment.

I reached out to you, we had that conversation.

And so here we are years later, and so much of my life has changed, and I'm able to be generous and do so much.

So maybe you can just take the last couple of minutes because we have the link in the description.

This doesn't have to be the story of the global pandemic when the Holy Spirit was shouting at people, do this, do this, and they didn't do it, and they were disobedient.

This gets to be the time where you watch the video, you hear it, the Holy Spirit confirms it, and then you actually do it.

And so what.

What does that look like for them?

I know you put together something special.

I just found this out.

Didn't even know you were going to do this.

But what can they do right now?

Yeah, no, this is.

This is an amazing time in history.

One of the things that I want us to do this year is when the Holy Spirit speaks to us, we say, let it be so.

Yeah, that when God speak to us, we move quickly.

And I'm guilty of that.

I'm like, was that Jesus?

Was that not Jesus?

Was that myself?

Was that the Taco Bell that I heard last night?

No.

The Bible says that the sheep know the voice of the shepherd.

Right.

So what I'm getting ready to talk about is going to be an opportunity.

And I'm not.

You know, everybody fluffs things up.

You just heard Pastor Mike talk for the last couple of minutes of where he was and where he is right now.

He's being very humble.

I'm not going to put any information out there, but he has not.

Kids will now never lack for anything.
