Discerning Your Season: Most Christians Get This Wrong

Discerning Your Season: Most Christians Get This Wrong

Are you living in God’s appointed season—or stuck in a suggested one? In this powerful message, Apostle Mike Signorelli reveals the rhythm of wisdom that most believers miss. Drawing from Ecclesiastes 3, Numbers 14, and Luke 12, he exposes how confusion, fear, and delay keep us from stepping into God’s timing.

Apostle Mike challenges us to trade anxiety for alignment, criticism for discernment, and delay for obedience—so we can step boldly into the season God has appointed.

This message will equip you to:

  • Discern the season you’re truly in.
  • Recognize the difference between suggested time and appointed time.
  • Stop repeating old lessons and move forward into your promised land.

Speaker A

Discern the season you're in.

Speaker A

Discern the season that you're in.

Speaker A

So we're gonna go through this, and you can use a pen, you can use your notes and your phone, but write this down, and it's gonna help you.

Speaker A

So D is discern the season that you're in.

Speaker A

Now, the O stands for observe and fully embrace today.

Speaker A

Observe and fully embrace today.

Speaker A

So next week, we're gonna work on understanding how to observe and how to fully embrace today.

Speaker A

Today.

Speaker A

So that's gonna be part two of this series, and then part three.

Speaker A

Am I going too fast?

Speaker A

Part three of this teaching series is going to be a combination of the S and the E, which is S stands for stand.

Speaker A

Stay faithful in small things.

Speaker A

Stay faithful in small things.

Speaker A

Stay faithful in small things.

Speaker A

And then the E stands for execute with consistency and intentionality.

Speaker A

Execute with consistency and intentionality.

Speaker A

Some of you are like, my hand already hurts from writing.

Speaker A

I haven't felt like this since school.

Speaker A

But we're gonna be teaching through this.

Speaker A

So discern the season you're in.

Speaker A

Observe and fully embrace today.

Speaker A

Stay faithful in the small things.

Speaker A

And then execute with consistency and intentionality.

Speaker A

Can somebody just say amen to that?

Speaker A

This first week is entitled the Rhythm of Wisdom.

Speaker A

The rhythm.

Speaker A

Everybody say that with me.

Speaker A

The rhythm of wisdom.

Speaker A

Everybody say discern.

Speaker A

Most people that you meet do not have discernment.

Speaker A

They have criticism.

Speaker A

You haven't met a lot of people with discernment, but you've met a lot of critical people.

Speaker A

As a matter of fact, if I could diagnose the body of Christ right now is we have a lot of people claiming discernment who just have triggers, wounds, and criticisms.

Speaker A

If I was gonna name this sermon something else, it would be how to discern your God given season.

Speaker A

Why do we use discernment for other people, but we never use it for ourself?

Speaker A

Discernment should be developed internally before it's distributed externally.

Speaker A

Come on, y'.

Speaker A

All.

Speaker A

Can I just rewind that back?

Speaker A

Discernment should be developed internally before it's distributed extern.

Speaker A

And you got people who want to distribute more discernment externally than they want to develop internally.

Speaker A

In other words, they're an expert on how other people sin, but not their own sin.

Speaker A

So this is the rhythm of wisdom, and it starts with discernment.

Speaker A

And we're going to look at some scriptural focus to help us understand these concepts.

Speaker A

But before we jump in and you can already start to turn to Ecclesiastes, chapter three, and we're gonna look at that first Ecclesiastes Chapter three.

Speaker A

And we're gonna start in the Old Testament and then we're go over to the New Testament because I believe in a whole Bible approach, meaning you should see the continuity between the Old and New Testament in these narratives.

Speaker A

So we're gonna go to Ecclesiastes chapter 3, written by what the Bible determined is the most wise person to ever live.

Speaker A

And we're gonna start there.

Speaker A

Now, before we do though, can I just tell you that we have to grow in our ability to discern what season we're in.

Speaker A

So let's go take the discernment a little bit deeper.

Speaker A

Now it's discerning what season we're in, discerning what season we are in.

Speaker A

And we need to increase in our ability to do that.

Speaker A

And, and here's the main thing.

Speaker A

Could it be that you are not burned out because you're doing the wrong things?

Speaker A

It's that you're doing the wrong things in the wrong season.

Speaker A

Could it be that you're not exhausted because of what you're doing?

Speaker A

It's when you're doing it and what season you're doing it.

Speaker A

So we have to discern the seasons.

Speaker A

The seasons.

Speaker A

And those seasons are marked by transition.

Speaker A

So let's look at Ecclesiastes chapter three.

Speaker A

And we're gonna read verses one through eight.

Speaker A

So Ecclesiastes chapter three, verse one through eight.

Speaker A

And here's why it's important.

Speaker A

It says for everything there is a season.

Speaker A

Everybody say season.

Speaker A

This is a biblical term that I want us to.

Speaker A

So if you, you don't have to write in your Bible.

Speaker A

If you write in your Bible, you can underline the word season and a time for every matter under heaven.

Speaker A

How many of you are under heaven right now?

Speaker A

Okay, that's all of you.

Speaker A

You're not dead.

Speaker A

So we're all under heaven.

Speaker A

A time to be born and a time to die.

Speaker A

What if I told you anxiety is when fear tries to convince you of a different season.

Speaker A

Anxiety says you're going to die when it's not your season to die, it's fear's lie about what season you're in?

Speaker A

Oh yeah, you're going to die, but not yet.

Speaker A

So when fear tells you it's gonna happen now, that produces anxiety.

Speaker A

What if I told you that lust and perversion and one night stands is what happens when you do the right thing in the wrong season?

Speaker A

A season of singleness should be paired with purity and isolation for preparation.

Speaker A

But what happens is when you have the act of sex within the wrong Season.

Speaker A

See, in one season, sex will actually edify and build you up.

Speaker A

But in the wrong season, sex.

Speaker A

The Bible says that lust and perversion will actually cause you to sin against your own body.

Speaker A

So sex out of season is destructive, but sex in season will build you up.

Speaker A

So this is what I'm saying.

Speaker A

We need to increase in wisdom concerning seasons and times.

Speaker A

So everybody say discern.

Speaker A

This is your daily dose.

Speaker A

Your daily dose.

Speaker A

So when you wake up, you're asking yourself, what are we going to do today, Pinky?

Speaker A

The same thing we do every day, brain.

Speaker A

Or, you know, or whatever.

Speaker A

It's been a while, brain.

Speaker A

What are we going to do today, brain.

Speaker A

That's what it was.

Speaker A

So you're asking yourself, what's my season?

Speaker A

So it's lust before you're married, and it's passion afterwards.

Speaker A

Are y' all with me?

Speaker A

So you gotta.

Speaker A

It's wisdom.

Speaker A

Knows where to place things.

Speaker A

It's about the appropriate.

Speaker A

Okay, let's go deeper.

Speaker A

I want to look at the text.

Speaker A

For everything, everybody say everything.

Speaker A

For everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.

Speaker A

A time to be born and a time to die.

Speaker A

A time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted.

Speaker A

Now, let's break this down.

Speaker A

When you look at the phrase appointed time, it's a Hebrew word.

Speaker A

Z E M A N. Z E M A N. And it means appointed time.

Speaker A

Kemmel, I'm giving you a chance to write this down.

Speaker A

When you look at this verse, it says appointed time, Z E M A N. And I'm gonna break this word down because it helps us get at a revelation.

Speaker A

Okay, can I just preach this for 30 seconds?

Speaker A

It does not mean suggested time.

Speaker A

It means appointed time.

Speaker A

And some of you are living off a suggestion, not appointment.

Speaker A

See, Christians are living off of suggestions from their spouse, suggestions from their friends, suggestions from Instagram, suggestions from the Internet.

Speaker A

Are you in a suggested season or an appointed season?

Speaker A

Oh, man.

Speaker A

Okay.

Speaker A

No, I'm serious.

Speaker A

Like, give me one of those microphones.

Speaker A

I was gonna bring my road mic.

Speaker A

Maybe my wife still has time to bring it.

Speaker A

But here's the thing.

Speaker A

Let's talk about this.

Speaker A

See, there's a lot of people that are using this.

Speaker A

It's the right calling in the wrong season because it was suggested by them that they should do this.

Speaker A

It was suggested, not appointed.

Speaker A

And if you take what's suggested before it's appointed, a blessing becomes a curse.

Speaker A

It's the right microphone in the wrong season.

Speaker A

It's the right sermon in the wrong season, it's the right messenger in the wrong season.

Speaker A

It's about the appointed time, not the suggested time.

Speaker A

And so listen, if you take the microphone and start a podcast, you'll have audio but not authority.

Speaker A

But let me counterbalance that.

Speaker A

If God told you to start the podcast and you're supposed to do it and you don't do it, you'll have authority, but no audio.

Speaker A

So it's about wisdom.

Speaker A

Oh, come on.

Speaker A

Is this good?

Speaker A

Is this good?

Speaker A

It's about wisdom, because beware of somebody who never tells you to preach, but beware of somebody telling you to preach out of season.

Speaker A

It's about wisdom.

Speaker A

This is what the body of Christ needs in this era.

Speaker A

And I'm speaking as an apostle right now to many of you because we have to administrate.

Speaker A

Administrate doesn't mean to diminish, and it doesn't mean to.

Speaker A

Oh, Lord, help me delete.

Speaker A

It means to develop.

Speaker A

So some ministries diminish, some ministries delete, but a healthy ministry develops.

Speaker A

Can I say it again?

Speaker A

Because y' all are leading ground crews, and you're leading flight crews, and you're doing this.

Speaker A

You're.

Speaker A

You don't diminish somebody.

Speaker A

You don't delete somebody's calling, but you help them develop.

Speaker A

It's about the wisdom of discerning the time.

Speaker A

Develop, develop, develop.

Speaker A

Okay, let me put my.

Speaker A

Did that help you?

Speaker A

Okay, maybe my wife will bring my podcast mic if she's okay.

Speaker A

So, Zeman Z E M A n. Can we go deeper on this Hebrew word?

Speaker A

Okay, this is so good.

Speaker A

In Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, verse 1, in the Hebrew roots, it means its own time for everything.

Speaker A

So, hey, for those of you who are on fire with sexual passion without a place to utilize it, it's only a season.

Speaker A

It's only a season.

Speaker A

For those of you who are married saying, where did that passion go?

Speaker A

Come to the marriage conference next month.

Speaker A

But when you go deeper on this word, it means.

Speaker A

It's a verb that means to agree together.

Speaker A

So appointed versus suggested has to do with agreement.

Speaker A

I'm gonna say this real slow because I.

Speaker A

Simple is not the same as simple.

Speaker A

Simple is not the same as being dumb.

Speaker A

It's just.

Speaker A

It could be simple yet profound.

Speaker A

So I want us to meditate on the word because it's a matter of fact.

Speaker A

It's not the volume.

Speaker A

A lot of people are like, I'm reading the whole Bible this year.

Speaker A

Yeah.

Speaker A

How much of it did you understand and how much of it did you obey?

Speaker A

A good sermon can spend 40 minutes on one scripture that everybody understands and obeys.

Speaker A

So it's not how much scripture can I dispense, it's how much can you make people understand and obey?

Speaker A

So we're gonna go through the word of God, but I want us to stay here for a little while to really get this in our spirit.

Speaker A

Because when you look at this, it says Ecclesiastes 3.

Speaker A

One means its own time for everything.

Speaker A

And then if you go back to look at the Hebrew word, it actually says to agree together.

Speaker A

So in other words, it's not a suggested time, it's an appointed time that you must come in agreement with.

Speaker A

What if I told you that most of your discouragement is you not being in agreement with what God appointed for right now?

Speaker A

Y' all with me.

Speaker A

You're not in agreement with what God appointed right now.

Speaker A

And that's why, now let's give you a New Testament reference.

Speaker A

The fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, long suffering.

Speaker A

Because what the fruits of the spirit are is the result of coming into agreement with what God appointed.

Speaker A

I bear the fruit of long suffering because I came into agreement with what God appointed for this season.

Speaker A

I bear the fruit of patience, because I came into agreement with what God appointed for this season.

Speaker A

But you don't bear fruit without agreement.

Speaker A

The seed has to agree with the soil.

Speaker A

The rain has to agree with the seed.

Speaker A

There has to be a convergence of agreement for that thing to germinate and come up out of the soil and bear fruit.

Speaker A

I'm trying to help you right now.

Speaker A

So what does that mean?

Speaker A

Keep going.

Speaker A

I love this, too, because in the Jewish culture, they have schools called yeshiva, and that's basically their school that the children attend.

Speaker A

And I love this because in yeshiva, they use the term zemin to refer to as a semester.

Speaker A

So it's almost like God's saying, okay, let's back up.

Speaker A

How many of you have ever had reoccurring dreams that you're back in school and you wake up and you're like, that's the worst nightmare.

Speaker A

Am I the only one?

Speaker A

So we have these dreams that were in school.

Speaker A

So this Hebrew word that we're looking at, in Ecclesiastes, it refers to.

Speaker A

In Yeshiva, they use this same word to refer to as the semester.

Speaker A

So now let me read Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 1.

Speaker A

Let's look at this Scripture again.

Speaker A

For.

Speaker A

For everything, there is a semester.

Speaker A

So if there's a semester, that makes you a student.

Speaker A

Are you passing or failing?

Speaker A

Because if you don't pass your semester, you don't go on to the next semester you repeat.

Speaker A

So is it God doing it to you, or is it God allowing you to learn from it?

Speaker A

Is it.

Speaker A

Oh, come on.

Speaker A

You could be alive long enough to technically be in 12th grade, but only be in 6th grade by virtue of how much you passed.

Speaker A

And so you don't pass because you get older.

Speaker A

You pass because you learn.

Speaker A

You pass because you succeeded in those lessons.

Speaker A

And you got some Christians that are 40 years old biologically in the fourth grade, spiritually because.

Speaker A

And just because everybody else gives you a cap and gown doesn't make that a real graduation.

Speaker A

Just because other Christians call you mature doesn't make you mature.

Speaker A

Just because other people say you're powerful doesn't mean you're powerful.

Speaker A

Just because.

Speaker A

Come on, somebody.

Speaker A

Because they don't have the authority to distribute the caps and gowns, only God does.

Speaker A

And so what happens is people exempt themselves from a semester and transfer to another school full of flunkies because they'd rather have people confirm their mediocrity than call them up to godly greatness.

Speaker A

Come on, I'm speaking wisdom.

Speaker A

It's a three part series.

Speaker A

It's like Netflix.

Speaker A

Listen to all three.

Speaker A

Okay, so is this helping you?

Speaker A

So that's all.

Speaker A

Ecclesiastes, chapter three, verse one.

Speaker A

Now I wanna tie this in with an additional Old Testament reference and you can look at numbers, chapter 14.

Speaker A

Numbers, chapter 14.

Speaker A

Now what is happening in numbers, chapter 14?

Speaker A

I'm gonna show you because it's going to help you and your mama and your brother and your sister.

Speaker A

It's going to help you.

Speaker A

Okay, numbers 14, I love it.

Speaker A

Because in the ESV, the heading over numbers 14 is the people rebel.

Speaker A

Then all the congregation raised a loud voice and the people wept that night.

Speaker A

And all the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron.

Speaker A

And they didn't grumble against God, they grumbled against God's authority.

Speaker A

It's more likely people are gonna be mad at Pastor Mike than God, because there's something about immature people blame leaders instead of actually having conversations with the Father.

Speaker A

So you notice there's a template for complainers is they always complain about God's delegated authority.

Speaker A

And they just.

Speaker A

It's almost like in numbers 14, they distributed their discernment outwardly instead of inwardly.

Speaker A

It's almost like the intro of this message.

Speaker A

It's almost like I'm discerning something about Moses and Aaron.

Speaker A

But children of Israel, what do you see about you?

Speaker A

Do you see this?

Speaker A

So then all of a sudden it says, would that we had died in the land of Egypt.

Speaker A

Or would that we had died in this wilderness.

Speaker A

Why is the Lord bringing us into the land to fall by the sword?

Speaker A

So they're complaining our wives and our little ones will become prey.

Speaker A

And list.

Speaker A

That's like the most potent excuse you can make.

Speaker A

But look at my little children.

Speaker A

Look at my children.

Speaker A

Who cares about my babies?

Speaker A

It's just when how many of you know that when we're complaining, we always pull out the biggest arsenal?

Speaker A

It's like, what's the thing that can really make people believe this complaint?

Speaker A

So they're really unloading that complaint.

Speaker A

Then verse four says, and they said to one another, let us choose a leader and go back to Egypt.

Speaker A

So this is what happens when you don't know how to.

Speaker A

Okay, let's bring it in.

Speaker A

Everybody bring it in.

Speaker A

Come back, come back.

Speaker A

Your mind's been wandering.

Speaker A

Bring it back.

Speaker A

This is the template.

Speaker A

When you don't understand the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 3, what happens is you spend more time discerning outward than discerning inward.

Speaker A

Then what happens is, they said, let us choose for us a leader and go back to Egypt.

Speaker A

You change the leadership and you change the destination.

Speaker A

You change the leadership, you change the destination.

Speaker A

Now let me tell you the effects of what happened when you look at numbers 14.

Speaker A

The Israelites had a window by which they could enter into the promised land.

Speaker A

Cause you know, it wasn't for Joshua, it was for Moses.

Speaker A

But they were in their semester and you're watching them fail their test.

Speaker A

Their test was even Moses and Aaron, with all of their faults and failures, was God's designated authority.

Speaker A

And even though Canaan scares us to death, and even though we want comfortability, and even though we want things the way we want them, will we actually step into this thing?

Speaker A

And what they did instead, instead of looking inward and developing inwardly, they looked outwardly on.

Speaker A

They chose for them.

Speaker A

They said, let us choose another leader and let's change the destination and go back.

Speaker A

And I'm concerned because what I see happening is this very similar context in the body of Christ.

Speaker A

But what happens is they're paralyzed with fear.

Speaker A

Everybody say fear.

Speaker A

This week I wanna challenge you in your daily growth journal.

Speaker A

In the back there's some additional pages and I want you to write all the decisions that you're struggling with right now.

Speaker A

And I want you to take inventory of how many of the things you're getting ready to do out of fear.

Speaker A

Because most of us make fear based decisions as a default.

Speaker A

And the body of Christ has to now grow in our Ability to make faith based decisions.

Speaker A

Faith is the opposite of fear.

Speaker A

So when you take inventory this week and you're writing down the decisions, are you making a faith based decision or a fear based decision?

Speaker A

And fear based decisions will always cause you to go back to Egypt, but faith based decisions will always cause you to go forward.

Speaker A

So faith based decisions will cause you to be uncomfortable.

Speaker A

Fear based decisions will make you go in the direction of comfort.

Speaker A

And so they failed their test and they missed that window because they couldn't discern.

Speaker A

And their delay turned into decades of wandering.

Speaker A

So delay turns into wandering, delay turns into wandering.

Speaker A

And numbers 14 really shows us that happening.

Speaker A

Now, are y' all good on numbers 14?

Speaker A

Okay, now let's go over to Luke chapter 12.

Speaker A

Let's go to Luke chapter 12.

Speaker A

And this is gonna help you.

Speaker A

Luke chapter 12.

Speaker A

We're gonna go all the way to the end of the chapter at verse 54.

Speaker A

Luke chapter 12, verse 54.

Speaker A

And it says, say amen when you found it.

Speaker A

All right, I'll give you a second.

Speaker A

Luke, chapter 12, verse 54.

Speaker A

Now, the heading again in the ESV translation that I have says, interpreting the time.

Speaker A

Interpreting the time.

Speaker A

He also said to the crowds, this is Jesus.

Speaker A

When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say, man, how appropriate with what's going on in California right now.

Speaker A

He's basically saying, when you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once a shower is coming.

Speaker A

And so it happens.

Speaker A

And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, there will be scorching heat.

Speaker A

And it happens.

Speaker A

You hypocrites.

Speaker A

Why, you know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?

Speaker A

In other words, how is it that y' all know New York City's weather, but you don't know New York City's will from the Father?

Speaker A

How do you know the weather but not the will?

Speaker A

Because you spend more time looking at the clouds than you do looking at the sky.

Speaker A

You spend more time listening to the voice of a weatherman than listening to the voice of the one who made the weather.

Speaker A

Y' all with me?

Speaker A

And so what Jesus is saying to them is woe to you.

Speaker A

Because you know the weather, but you don't know the season.

Speaker A

You don't know the time in which we're in.

Speaker A

And so the thing I'm trying to help you understand is, oh, come on, Lord, help me with this message.

Speaker A

We need, as a body of Christ, to begin to pray.

Speaker A

God, if the Lord told me to evangelize I need to get out and evangelize.

Speaker A

If the Lord told me, remember what else?

Speaker A

It's not the suggested time.

Speaker A

It's the appointed time.

Speaker A

If the Lord appointed this Lord, I gotta be about it.

Speaker A

If my pastor said, stand up, if you're in the mountain of business, you better stand up, you better sign up, and you better show up.

Speaker A

Because when you meet with all those other entrepreneurs, you're stepping out of the suggested time into the appointed time.

Speaker A

What you're saying is, I don't need another leader.

Speaker A

I don't need to go back to Egypt.

Speaker A

I got the word of the Lord, I stood up.

Speaker A

And now I'm gonna sign up.

Speaker A

And now I'm gonna show up.

Speaker A

Stand up, sign up, show up.

Speaker A

Put that in your notes.

Speaker A

Stand up, sign up, show up.

Speaker A

Why?

Speaker A

Because Moses and Aaron, Mike and Julie said, let's go into the promised land.

Speaker A

And if you delay, delay will actually cause wandering.

Speaker A

It'll cause wandering.

Speaker A

So what does this look like for us?

Speaker A

Jesus is breaking this thing down.

Speaker A

He's like, you know the weather, but you can't discern God's will.

Speaker A

For right now.

Speaker A

For right now, how many of you feel an urgency in your spirit?

Speaker A

How many of you feel like this is 20, 20 repeating itself?

Speaker A

How many of you.

Speaker A

I'm serious.

Speaker A

I'm serious.

Speaker A

Like, there's something.

Speaker A

I go before the Father like, oh, Lord, help me to be nice.

Speaker A

I want to be so mean.

Speaker A

Are you studying the Bible because it's interesting to you?

Speaker A

Are you making your own little pet projects in the word that are selfish?

Speaker A

Or are you getting into the Scriptures to sharpen your sword, to go back into battle and swing that sword on the enemy's camp.

Speaker A

You get what I'm saying?

Speaker A

Because Christians are notorious for loading their gun and going to the gun range instead of going to the battle.

Speaker A

Oh, yeah, man, I hit the target.

Speaker A

Yeah, when it's not shooting back at you.

Speaker A

You know what I'm saying?

Speaker A

Oh, yeah, man.

Speaker A

I'm an assassin.

Speaker A

Yeah, when nobody.

Speaker A

You're playing a video game, homie.

Speaker A

Come out into the streets with me.

Speaker A

Nobody in your job even knows you're saved.

Speaker A

Your family still thinks you smoke weed because you relapsed last Thanksgiving.

Speaker A

Come on, homie, stop getting on.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

Stop getting online and start getting in line.

Speaker A

Let's go.

Speaker A

I'm trying to help you.

Speaker A

Okay, so now I've brought you through 14 scriptures, and I hope the legalistic ones of you think I've given you enough verses today, but let's give you some more.

Speaker A

The New York Times Covered a woman who quit a really high paying tech job because she was realizing she was in the wrong season.

Speaker A

It wasn't that it was the wrong job, it was the wrong job for that season.

Speaker A

She went on to start a non profit that now feeds thousands of children.

Speaker A

I started this message by saying there's a rhythm of wisdom.

Speaker A

So some of you are like, I should have never been on this job.

Speaker A

No, no, no, don't curse.

Speaker A

What was the right thing for the last season?

Speaker A

Oh, I should have never moved to this place.

Speaker A

No, no, by the way, and I don't have time to do this, but you do know that God led the children of Israel out of Egypt into the wilderness.

Speaker A

So there are times where God will lead you into a wilderness and a wilderness is his will.

Speaker A

And so, you know, bad theology is like, everything's gonna get better.

Speaker A

No, no, everything's going to get better at one particular point.

Speaker A

But we're on a journey through the wilderness together to get to the promised land.

Speaker A

So don't curse.

Speaker A

Oh, I should have never went to that church.

Speaker A

No, no, that church was the right church for that season and the season changed.

Speaker A

And matter of fact, there's a wisdom in discerning all that.

Speaker A

And matter of fact, if you'll stop being so bitter, you might realize all the lessons God taught you even under that pastor.

Speaker A

You can't stand just letting that simmer because we curse seasons when it was the right thing in that season.

Speaker A

It's just the wisdom of knowing what that season changed.

Speaker A

You know, as we get ready to close, because I'm done, by the way, just bring me a keys player because we're keep this simple.

Speaker A

But when, you know, when we.

Speaker A

I feel the anointing on this.

Speaker A

Some of you are so frustrated because you're trying to harvest in a planting season.

Speaker A

You're trying to harvest in a planting season.

Speaker A

You're like, lord, why haven't you given me a raise?

Speaker A

And he's like, because you didn't give me seed.

Speaker A

God, why haven't you given me a mate?

Speaker A

Because you didn't give me discipline.

Speaker A

God, why didn't.

Speaker A

Oh, come on, somebody.

Speaker A

Some of you are trying to harvest in a planting season.

Speaker A

You better go back and put seed in that soil.

Speaker A

You better play the game the way that the game was written instead of trying to bend the rules for yourself.

Speaker A

There it is.

Speaker A

This is going to help you and your mama.

Speaker A

But you feel what I'm trying to help you with.

Speaker A

Like, I went back and I looked at my Instagram for years and years and I went back to 2011.

Speaker A

Next month we're gonna have Rick Renner with us in person and it's gonna be an incredible time.

Speaker A

The seven Hatches sermon I preached last week was me extending off of the prophetic word he gave to the body of Christ.

Speaker A

Let me just say this.

Speaker A

I went back in my Instagram and I was sending pictures to Evan.

Speaker A

Because 10 years ago, around this time, think about 10 years ago, I'm sitting not in front of a six location national church with global online.

Speaker A

I'm sitting in front of about seven interns and I was teaching them Rick Renner's book, Sparkling gems.

Speaker A

And every day I came in and I taught those interns Rick Renner's book.

Speaker A

I didn't know Rick Renner.

Speaker A

Rick Renner didn't know me.

Speaker A

I didn't have any social media presence.

Speaker A

I had nothing.

Speaker A

But the thing was, I was sowing seeds.

Speaker A

I was sowing seeds.

Speaker A

And I went back and I saw that picture of me and I said, you know, Lord, it's about seasons.

Speaker A

Because I remember loving those meetings I had with the interns and that time.

Speaker A

And it was just like preaching in front of you right now.

Speaker A

And it's never been the size of the audience.

Speaker A

It's been the time of the season.

Speaker A

Did you hear what I just said?

Speaker A

It's not about the size of your audience.

Speaker A

It's about the season you're in and what's right for that.

Speaker A

And I, I thought to myself, I, if I wish I could walk into that office space and I could say, hey, Mike, there's going to come a day where Rick Renner is coming to your church to preach.

Speaker A

Oh, and by the way, and it's just, I don't think I could have even understood it because I wasn't doing those things to get those results.

Speaker A

You get what I'm trying to say.

Speaker A

And there's gotta be a purity of heart.

Speaker A

We come before the Lord.

Speaker A

But I was just looking at seasons, season, seasons.

Speaker A

I was going back.

Speaker A

And when we talk about Daily Dose, and this is my lead into next week, somebody say, slow down.

Speaker A

Do you remember how long kindergarten felt and how fast 12th grade felt?

Speaker A

Slow down, slow down.

Speaker A

There.

Speaker A

There are no adults in the kingdom, only children.

Speaker A

You must become like a child to enter the kingdom.

Speaker A

So there's only children in the kingdom.

Speaker A

So slow down.

Speaker A

Remember when you would start playing with your toys and it was fantasy land and you were gone and it was like a major motion picture happening in your soul?

Speaker A

Do you remember that?

Speaker A

Slow down.

Speaker A

Slow down.

Speaker A

Isn't it funny?

Speaker A

How you went from fantasy to anxiety, and now the only thing you can imagine is tragedy.

Speaker A

What if the Lord wants to take back your mind this year, but you have to surrender it?

Speaker A

See, demons, we have the authority to cast out.

Speaker A

But you have to take that daily discipline of pulling down.

Speaker A

In the last season, Deliverance taught you how to cast out.

Speaker A

But.

Speaker A

But in this season, discipline is going to teach you how to pull down.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

Is this helping you?

Speaker A

Your mind?

Speaker A

We're gonna work on your mind all year this year.

Speaker A

So here's my assignment for you for your notes.

Speaker A

And could you all stand it?

Speaker A

Well, no, no, don't stand yet.

Speaker A

Don't stand yet.

Speaker A

Cause you gotta write this down.

Speaker A

I didn't think about that.

Speaker A

So write this down.

Speaker A

I want you, during your daily devotional, I want you to spend five minutes and I want you to set a timer on it so you can tell.

Speaker A

And I'm not gonna use the name.

Speaker A

Cause your phones all start going crazy.

Speaker A

But hey, person, set a timer for five minutes.

Speaker A

And I want you to sit in silence asking God, don't let me be like those that got the rebuke in the book of Luke from Jesus that couldn't discern the season, but God, I'm gonna sit here for five minutes, and I want you to do this for the the next six days.

Speaker A

So you're gonna do this Monday through Saturday, and we're gonna come back Sunday.

Speaker A

And I want you to just sit there for five minutes.

Speaker A

Now, for some of you that have been lying and saying time keeps going by so fast, you've been lying, oh, my life just keeps passing me by.

Speaker A

Yeah, because you've changed the way your mind works.

Speaker A

Sit in silence for five minutes, it's gonna feel like an hour.

Speaker A

And while you're in that time of silence, I want you to say Jesus in the book of Luke and say this in your spirit.

Speaker A

In the book of Luke, you rebuked a group of people that knew the weather but didn't know your will.

Speaker A

And I'm gonna sit here, speak to me to give me your will.

Speaker A

And he is going to speak to you.

Speaker A

And then what I want you to do is I want you to journal your answer into your daily growth journal.

Speaker A

Okay, you getting this?

Speaker A

Then the third thing that I want you to do is I want you to share it with a trusted friend for accountability.

Speaker A

And I want you to share with somebody that will help you discern it.

Speaker A

A trusted friend.

Speaker A

Hey, I believe the Lord's saying this.

Speaker A

I believe the Lord's saying this.

Speaker A

What do you Think about this.

Speaker A

And I want you to share that, okay?

Speaker A

And this is my.

Speaker A

My challenge.

Speaker A

And I'm gonna read it to you.

Speaker A

And you guys can write this verse down.

Speaker A

Psalm, chapter 31, verse 15.

Speaker A

And this.

Speaker A

This could be something you can pray over yourself every single day for the next six days.

Speaker A

Are y' all gonna do this daily dose with me?

Speaker A

Cause I'm giving you your prescription.

Speaker A

You know what I wanted to do if I had more time?

Speaker A

I was gonna make a little RX slip and have this on there and send you all out.

Speaker A

Then I thought I was gonna get in trouble.

Speaker A

So this is your prescription.

Speaker A

It says this.

Speaker A

My times are in your hand.

Speaker A

Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors.

Speaker A

That's the esv.

Speaker A

My times are in your hand.

Speaker A

When you take your times and put them in your hand, it's gonna produce worry, fear, anxiety, rebellion.

Speaker A

It's gonna produce all kinds of sin.

Speaker A

Like, it's take.

Speaker A

Most sin is actually when you take your times and place them in your hand and take them out of his hand.

Speaker A

So when you begin to pray, God, I am going.

Speaker A

I'm going to speak.

Speaker A

Because some of you are like, I don't know how to pray.

Speaker A

Pray the word of God.

Speaker A

You'll never be wrong.

Speaker A

So, God, I'm going to.

Speaker A

I'm going to do this for you.

Speaker A

Do this six times this week, God, my times are in your hand.

Speaker A

So rescue me from the hand of my enemies, which, by the way, you might be the enemy that God rescues you from from.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

You might be the enemy.

Speaker A

When the Lord's like, mike, it's you.

Speaker A

Then it says, rescue me from the hand of my persecutors.

Speaker A

Praise God.

Speaker A

Life is not about doing it all.

Speaker A

It's about doing the right thing in the right time.

Speaker A

And when you align with the rhythm of grace, the rhythm of discernment, then you'll find rest, you'll find purpose, you'll find fruitfulness.

Speaker A

Would you all stand to your feet?

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

I feel the presence of God all over this.

Speaker A

Here was my prayer that you would feel the shalom, the peace that surpasses understanding.

Speaker A

How many of you feel that when permeating the atmosphere right now?

Speaker A

How many of you feel like you need to watch this on repeat, like six times?

Speaker A

Okay already.

Speaker A

Yeah, definitely.

Speaker A

So come on, slow down.

Speaker A

I want to do some ministry right now, so I want to minister to you personally right now.

Speaker A

So let that.

Speaker A

I'm making a little bit of room for it.

Speaker A

So I just want to minister to you personally.

Speaker A

So let's just remove the distractions.

Speaker A

You don't have to close your eyes, but oftentimes that helps to remove distractions.

Speaker A

And I just want to minister to you this word because this is your daily dose.

Speaker A

Discern the season you're in.

Speaker A

There's a rhythm of wisdom.

Speaker A

So let me just prophetically minister to you, because I heard the Lord saying, if I were to give it to you right now, what would it validate about you that you feel needs validating?

Speaker A

Let me validate you without that thing so that you don't need that thing.

Speaker A

You need me.

Speaker A

I am your validation.

Speaker A

What are you still proving to people that you need to be free from the approval of man?

Speaker A

Many of you are still bearing the weight of the burden of feeling like you have to live in a constant need of approval.

Speaker A

What is it in you that makes you feel like you need the approval of man?

Speaker A

See, when you discern the season, when you discern the time, I believe that there's many of you, and I want to speak this prophetically, that the reason why you haven't done it, because I want to talk about delay.

Speaker A

The Lord has told you to do something, but the reason why you haven't done it is because you don't see yourself as that person yet.

Speaker A

But I hear the Lord saying, if you will step in, I will cause you to become the person.

Speaker A

Yes.

Speaker A

You're not that person, but I'll ask you to do it before you become it, and doing it will cause you to become it.

Speaker A

So step in.

Speaker A

Step in.

Speaker A

Matter of fact, I hear for some of you, I keep hearing the sound of the race starting, and there's like a false start.

Speaker A

And I feel like there's some of you that you started something in a previous season, and it was the wrong.

Speaker A

It was like the right thing in the wrong time, and it actually failed.

Speaker A

And I hear the Lord saying, you've been hesitant now, and.

Speaker A

And it was like the race started, but you refused to, like, get off the line.

Speaker A

I keep hearing that phrase, get off the line.

Speaker A

So I believe the Lord right now is causing many of you to actually.

Speaker A

Now, go, go, go.

Speaker A

Step in.

Speaker A

Step in.

Speaker A

And there's some of you that are like, well, who am I to do this?

Speaker A

And I'm gonna be made fun of.

Speaker A

They're gonna mock me.

Speaker A

They're gonna think that I'm trying to be something.

Speaker A

There's something about this.

Speaker A

I'm feeling in the spirit right now.

Speaker A

I wanna speak to it.

Speaker A

And that's why I hear the word of the Lord right Now, so strongly I hear the word of the Lord, and I want to read this to you again.

Speaker A

It says, my times are in your hand.

Speaker A

Rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors.

Speaker A

So I heard the Lord say, if you don't have persecutors yet, but you are actually anticipating persecution, you step into it because it's the right time to step in, and the Lord is going to be faithful to deliver you from your persecutors.

Speaker A

But actually, the Lord says, your persecutors are going to be a sign that you have stepped into the right season.

Speaker A

Your persecutors are going to be a sign that you're doing the right thing at the right time.

Speaker A

So trust in that.

Speaker A

When the persecution happens, smile, because that becomes a verification and a validation of stepping in.

Speaker A

I'm gonna say something that's gonna sound cliche, but I, the Lord, and this is not for everybody.

Speaker A

I wanna be careful with the way that I word this, but I'm talking to some single people who desire to be in relationships.

Speaker A

And I really believe that for some of you, the Lord's saying that you are ready, but they're not ready.

Speaker A

And what you're learning, the first step of the relationship you don't even have yet is actually you giving grace for them to grow, you giving grace for them to mature.

Speaker A

And then there's some people that it's the opposite.

Speaker A

They're ready, but you're not ready.

Speaker A

And the Bible says, how can two walk together unless they're in agreement?

Speaker A

So there's something about this development, this thing, and when the agreement happens, wow, it could be the right person, the wrong pace.

Speaker A

And so they're gonna pick up their pace, and that's gonna cause them to come alongside of you, or you're gonna pick up their pace.

Speaker A

Matter of fact, I wanna prophesy over marriages right now.

Speaker A

And then we're gonna pray, because there's many marriages.

Speaker A

The Lord says, you've been out of step with each other, and one is more advanced in the things of God than the other.

Speaker A

Or the one thinks they're more advanced, but it doesn't align with their obedience.

Speaker A

There's something like there's been like, a misalignment.

Speaker A

And I heard the Lord say, what I'm gonna do is cause them to be strong in one area, and you be strong in another area, and you're gonna carry each other.

Speaker A

And.

Speaker A

And I just see, like, a Carrying each other's burdens.

Speaker A

And the Lord is going to say, don't be Upset with them in your marriage for not being strong where you're strong, begin to testify of the strength that they have that's different than your strength.

Speaker A

And I see there being.

Speaker A

Oh, man, come on now.

Speaker A

I see there being a discernment of the gifting in marriages.

Speaker A

And the Lord says, yes, I have made your husband strong.

Speaker A

It's just you do not have a value for that kind of strength.

Speaker A

But if you will value that kind of strength, then you will honor what you value and your honor will cause unity.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

I'm speaking prophetically.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

And even, even the wives, you don't see the value in the strength.

Speaker A

And I see the same thing with the husbands and the wives.

Speaker A

Husbands, you don't see the value in their strength.

Speaker A

But if you see the value, you'll honor what you see value in.

Speaker A

And the honor will create.

Speaker A

Create unity.

Speaker A

But also, can I say one more thing?

Speaker A

Because I'm just seeing this in the spirit.

Speaker A

I heard the Lord say that it's a season of compromise.

Speaker A

And you have made compromise something that feels like you can't do it.

Speaker A

I'm not talking about compromising on the word of God.

Speaker A

I'm not talking about compromising integrity.

Speaker A

I'm talking about compromise being agreement.

Speaker A

We're gonna come together in agreement, and I wanna give you this parting wisdom.

Speaker A

And then we're gonna pray is I heard the Lord say there's grace on crucial conversations in this season.

Speaker A

And the Lord says, you've tried to have conversations and they failed and you're afraid to go back and try to have those conversations.

Speaker A

But I heard the Lord say, I'm gracing crucial conversations and the outcome's gonna be different.

Speaker A

If you will go in with the mindset of being able to give some things up and to come in soft, to come in humble.

Speaker A

But I feel like the Lord's saying, there's conversations with children, conversations with spouses, conversations with bosses, people in authority at work, conversations at schools.

Speaker A

I just see the Lord saying, I'm gracing conversations for positioning, I'm gracing conversations for alignment.

Speaker A

I'm gracing conversations for assistance assignment.

Speaker A

God is going to put a grace on conversations.

Speaker A

So I want you to schedule those conversations.

Speaker A

I want you to be intentional about those conversations.

Speaker A

I want you to step in, I want you to be bold, don't be fearful and say the thing that you're afraid to say.

Speaker A

Make a faith based decision, not a fear based decision.

Speaker A

And then I believe that the conversation is going to breed resolution.

Speaker A

The vision that I see in the sphere right now is like this ball of yarn in your stomach.

Speaker A

And there's many of you who have not been sleeping at night because you feel like you have to unknot that ball of yarn.

Speaker A

And you're like, I gotta pull that thing apart.

Speaker A

And the Lord was showing me that if you'll give it to him, the master, he's gonna begin to unravel it.

Speaker A

You've tried thinking, but you haven't tried praying.

Speaker A

You've tried thinking, but you haven't tried praying.

Speaker A

It's going to be unraveled in prayer while you're in worship, while you're in that time.

Speaker A

Set that timer this week.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

I gave you your prescription.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

Somebody say daily dose.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

We're just gonna shift into the existential.

Speaker A

We're not gonna let tomorrow worry for itself.

Speaker A

It's evil.

Speaker A

Yesterday's in the tomb, tomorrow's in the womb.

Speaker A

It's not even born yet.

Speaker A

Today is all we've got.

Speaker A

That's why it's called a present, because today is a gift today.

Speaker A

So let's pray.

Speaker A

I want everybody to say that.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

I see a lot of tears right now.

Speaker A

The Lord's ministering to you, man.

Speaker A

I feel the anointing strong.

Speaker A

Say this with me.

Speaker A

I'm just going to let you borrow my word.

Speaker A

Say, heavenly Father, I thank you for my daily dose.

Speaker A

You are my daily bread.

Speaker A

Father, I thank you for wisdom and discernment development.

Speaker A

And I rebuke delay and I will step in.

Speaker A

Father, I thank you for grace on conversations, for grace on resolution and perfect love.

Speaker A

Cast out all fear.

Speaker A

And Father, I thank you for allowing me to step in to my appointed season, my appointed time, my daily dose.

Speaker A

In Jesus name.

Speaker A

Somebody shout amen.

Speaker A

Come on, let's just celebrate what God did.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

You can do a little bit better than that.

Speaker A

Come on.

Speaker A

Father, you're worthy.

Speaker A

We worship you.

Speaker A

We praise you.

Speaker A

We magnify you.

Speaker A

We glorify you.

Speaker A

I thank you in advance that my marriage is going to be the best marriage.

Speaker A

I thank you in advance that I'm going to enter into this next time.

Speaker A

Come on, this.

Speaker A

You don't need a worship song.

Speaker A

You need a worship in spirit and in truth.

Speaker A

Father, I think.

Speaker A

Come on, somebody dig up that well right now.

Speaker A

I thank you, God, for proper alignment in this time.

Speaker A

Father, I thank you in advance for what this is going to do.

Speaker A

Somebody say, let it be so.
