Here are North Carolina's ties to Netflix's 'The Waterfront'

Set in the fictitious North Carolina coastal town of Havenport, the Netflix drama "The Waterfront" follows the powerful Buckley family as their fishing and restaurant empire crumbles. To stay financially afloat, the family resorts to drug smuggling.

Created by New Bern native Kevin Williamson, the eight-episode first season features prominent Wilmington and Southport landmarks.
