NBA Trade Deadline: Anthony Davis Traded + Giannis On The Move?
Reese, Pam and Alex discuss the NBA Trade Deadline, what these moves mean for the league, whether the Mavericks made the right call moving Anthony Davis and if today’s trade-deadline drama could include a shocking blockbuster involving Giannis Antetokounmpo or Ja Morant before the clock hits 3 p.m.
Yesterday, there was a mix of blockbuster trades and supporting trades across the NBA.
In one of the biggest headlines of the day, the Dallas Mavericks traded 10-time All-Star Anthony Davis to the Washington Wizards as part of a large transaction that included Jaden Hardy, D’Angelo Russell, and Dante Exum heading to Washington. In return, Dallas received Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley III, two first-round picks and three second-round picks as they pivot toward rebuilding around young talent and draft assets.
The Chicago Bulls made a significant move, sending Coby White and Mike Conley Jr. to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Collin Sexton, Ousmane Dieng and three future second-round draft picks in a three-team deal that also involved the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The trade deadline is today at 3PM. Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and Grizzlies star Ja Morant have been believed to be in trade discussions. Will either Giannis and Morant get traded today?
