In this video, we learn that NASA has reassured us that a 50-meter-wide asteroid, known as 2023 D W, which was predicted to have a one in 625 chance of hitting the Earth on Valentine's Day in 2046, will most likely miss the planet. This news is based on the latest observations gathered by NASA, which has revised the asteroid's chances of hitting the Earth to be more like one in 770, equating to a 99.87% chance of missing the planet. Even the European Space Agency's own assessment of the asteroid's risk has been lowered to one in 1584. Despite some initial predictions of doom and gloom, it looks like we can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that we won't be facing an asteroid impact anytime soon.
