Astronomers find the most distant stars in our galaxy halfway to Andromeda
A new study shows the furthest reaches of the Milky Way galaxy – a region known as the galactic halo is so far away it almost touches the halo of our nearest galactic neighbour the Andromeda galaxy M31.
