Today we are reading out of Matthew 9:11-13 which says "11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

"...We don’t have to feel shame, He took that to the grave. We just get to acknowledge that we all fall short of perfection, and that Jesus is our friend. He sits with us, and walks with us, he talks to us. He is there when we eat, and when we sleep. He is our friend. "
