00:01.412 --> 00:10.697
[SPEAKER_02]: In a town blanketed in snow, a man hides his truth beneath layers of flannel, and plastic

00:30.687 --> 00:32.307
[SPEAKER_01]: And hello, movie lovers.

00:32.427 --> 00:33.208
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm open to show.

00:33.248 --> 00:35.708
[SPEAKER_01]: So today I actually have my good friends Jason Pits with me.

00:35.728 --> 00:37.149
[SPEAKER_01]: I was having a stage at Elkman with me.

00:37.469 --> 00:39.869
[SPEAKER_01]: We're here to talk about episode seven and eight.

00:40.249 --> 00:41.690
[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to apologize to everybody.

00:41.730 --> 00:46.111
[SPEAKER_01]: I ran into some car trouble last week and I wasn't able to record.

00:46.311 --> 00:49.371
[SPEAKER_01]: So therefore, we have to go on ahead and combine the two episodes.

00:49.451 --> 00:50.872
[SPEAKER_01]: But I hope that you guys enjoy this review.

00:51.332 --> 00:52.332
[SPEAKER_01]: So let's go ahead.

00:52.412 --> 00:53.692
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get this thing started.

00:54.253 --> 00:58.514
[SPEAKER_01]: So speaking of course correction, the episode seven's called course correction.

01:00.854 --> 01:07.336
[SPEAKER_01]: Bionne and Charlie are actually arguing about the whole fact of having this serial killer party still.

01:07.877 --> 01:09.237
[SPEAKER_01]: And things are definitely falling apart.

01:09.317 --> 01:16.500
[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know why I left my house up the way Peter Dicklage says this where he says, I'm sick and tired of bullshit.

01:17.000 --> 01:22.762
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm just like the execution and just the exposition of him saying it makes me laugh.

01:23.322 --> 01:29.183
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know why, but it was like a little bit of a moment of dark comedy to meet with him saying that line.

01:29.503 --> 01:30.504
[SPEAKER_01]: And the way it came out.

01:31.244 --> 01:38.165
[SPEAKER_01]: But you can definitely tell that Charlie's is questioning Dexter a lot more and it bleeds into episode eight.

01:38.865 --> 01:41.206
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm really enjoyed the opening of that.

01:41.286 --> 01:43.146
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we get into the whole thing with Garrett.

01:43.526 --> 01:45.667
[SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't retake Garrett takes Garrett down.

01:46.507 --> 01:47.007
[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah.

01:47.167 --> 01:50.468
[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to hit tell me what your highlights were.

01:51.078 --> 01:52.018
[SPEAKER_00]: You got first Jason.

01:52.438 --> 01:53.378
[SPEAKER_00]: OK.

01:53.979 --> 01:56.279
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, episode seven.

01:58.059 --> 01:59.040
[SPEAKER_00]: I enjoyed it a lot.

01:59.500 --> 02:04.081
[SPEAKER_00]: I do wish that the thing with Gareth lasted a little bit longer.

02:04.101 --> 02:06.961
[SPEAKER_00]: I did not expect it to just end like that.

02:07.181 --> 02:10.022
[SPEAKER_00]: It was very abrupt for me.

02:10.502 --> 02:14.763
[SPEAKER_00]: And I really wanted to see that dynamically between Dexter and Gareth play out more.

02:16.143 --> 02:17.904
[SPEAKER_00]: And last a little bit longer.

02:17.924 --> 02:22.846
[SPEAKER_00]: I also felt like the way he killed him was very impulsive.

02:23.306 --> 02:29.668
[SPEAKER_00]: I understand what he ended up doing and putting on a show for Leon.

02:30.208 --> 02:36.590
[SPEAKER_00]: But now, but I also felt like I had never seen him do anything like that before.

02:36.710 --> 02:40.532
[SPEAKER_00]: So I felt like it was super impulsive and out of character for me.

02:41.952 --> 02:44.433
[SPEAKER_00]: So I kind of really didn't like it.

02:45.393 --> 02:45.914
[SPEAKER_00]: to be honest.

02:46.994 --> 02:51.797
[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, it was, it was interesting and it was definitely a choice.

02:53.458 --> 03:02.943
[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, for me, I think this, I think episode, I think the episode episode episode seven was actually kind of the worst episode of the season so far because of that.

03:03.283 --> 03:06.225
[SPEAKER_00]: I just kind of, you know, out of character in my opinion.

03:06.245 --> 03:06.785
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

03:07.145 --> 03:07.986
[SPEAKER_01]: One more for you in a session.

03:08.520 --> 03:09.241
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, okay.

03:09.461 --> 03:11.484
[SPEAKER_05]: So I have the opposite reaction.

03:11.744 --> 03:12.445
[SPEAKER_05]: I loved it.

03:12.485 --> 03:15.248
[SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, hell, yeah, Dexter's back.

03:15.288 --> 03:16.670
[SPEAKER_05]: We got our boy back.

03:17.050 --> 03:18.232
[SPEAKER_05]: I was so excited.

03:18.252 --> 03:24.599
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, just because I feel like we have seen him when push comes to shove like anyone's

03:25.595 --> 03:28.297
[SPEAKER_05]: get it, you know, if he has to cover his tracks.

03:28.377 --> 03:38.323
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I feel like based off of like the OG Dexter that we've seen him make these very fast, quick choices to shut people up around him.

03:38.723 --> 03:44.807
[SPEAKER_05]: And in this case with Gareth, he was doing, it was calculated.

03:44.867 --> 03:53.212
[SPEAKER_05]: He had to, I mean, there's only, he's only going to get so many times to just pick these serial killers off without some light.

03:54.147 --> 03:59.751
[SPEAKER_05]: being somebody being suspicious and so he had to do it in a way where he looked like he was the victim.

04:00.591 --> 04:09.637
[SPEAKER_05]: Where he was getting attacked first and then he got hurt and that was even a calculated hurt because we find out later with Ula that like if it was an inch

04:10.177 --> 04:14.139
[SPEAKER_05]: to the laughter writer, whatever it was, and he wouldn't have been dead.

04:15.039 --> 04:22.022
[SPEAKER_05]: So I think all of that he probably pushed himself in that way so that he could keep control of it.

04:22.042 --> 04:27.964
[SPEAKER_05]: But I loved how, like, I don't know if it's like sadistic as the term, but I loved how that

04:28.284 --> 04:54.767
[SPEAKER_05]: whole moment of them talking on the bench and then him revealing just like slowly you know I was like finally we're getting somewhere you know because it's like kind of thought a little repetitive with like okay Jack so he's gonna kill this serial killer how's he gonna do at this you know what I mean right so that one kind of took me a little awkward because yes I agree with you Jason on that point where I wish that Gemini was the biggest batty he was gonna encounter

04:55.228 --> 05:05.295
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, because I feel like they put a lot of thought in those two characters and how it was secret from us the viewer for a long time and then the big reveal.

05:06.095 --> 05:13.881
[SPEAKER_05]: And so yeah, I thought that we're going to have another episode or two to really dive into that because I also love the

05:15.798 --> 05:34.048
[SPEAKER_05]: So, but yeah, so that was that was interesting and entertaining and I thought it was a little bit sloppy of Dexter to like grab the piece of the wine glass and Chevinon is pocket and it being so visibly bloody in that area and I was like how is nobody gonna like comment on that?

05:34.368 --> 05:36.189
[SPEAKER_05]: Does that took me out of it when I was watching?

05:36.669 --> 05:37.570
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I got you.

05:38.010 --> 05:59.128
[SPEAKER_01]: You see, I actually agree with your point though in a station though because we've seen him up against the wall before especially with docks because remember what would happen with docks he acted like he ended up slamming Dexter's head into the Dexter ones up slamming his head into the desk so blaming that on decks just as he's also framing the Gemini killer Garrett

05:59.949 --> 06:02.210
[SPEAKER_01]: or trying to kill him at this party.

06:02.891 --> 06:08.354
[SPEAKER_01]: So I really feel like that's what that, what that trope is for me seeing that.

06:08.374 --> 06:09.655
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, I've seen this before.

06:09.755 --> 06:20.261
[SPEAKER_01]: Dexter's done this and to where we'll put blame on Garrett attacking him versus Dexter going on ahead and, you know, going to take in the blame for it.

06:20.561 --> 06:28.788
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I feel like that's definitely like quickly manipulate the situation and the person to make them look wrong in front of everybody.

06:29.228 --> 06:41.237
[SPEAKER_05]: And this time he just took it another set further because he like pulled him all of the secrets, you know, like he could have let that go a little bit longer, like just being like, oh, I'm a super fan of your work.

06:41.518 --> 06:45.781
[SPEAKER_05]: But no, he was like, oh, did you feel a burn in your chest or didn't you connect?

06:47.670 --> 06:56.115
[SPEAKER_05]: You've got to probably because he was like, you know, like he's hot headed and the Gemini killer is probably going to out him.

06:56.555 --> 06:57.135
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?

06:57.155 --> 07:01.277
[SPEAKER_05]: Like at that point he has nothing to live for, you know.

07:01.778 --> 07:02.218
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.

07:02.843 --> 07:03.764
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how I feel though, too.

07:03.804 --> 07:24.886
[SPEAKER_01]: I've really, and then also do that, that last thing is way too bulky from to put in that in his case, too, for like a souvenir, but then we wind up seeing him put the small, making it, making it smaller to where it can fit in the case, but at the same time is bulky, and that would be cutting my leg the whole entire time to the point where you actually would have him with thumb and trying to sew my leg up.

07:25.399 --> 07:30.481
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't do whatever you want from the glass and put it on the slide with the other brother.

07:30.781 --> 07:31.822
[SPEAKER_00]: So they broke.

07:32.482 --> 07:32.762
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

07:33.122 --> 07:33.683
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

07:33.743 --> 07:36.284
[SPEAKER_05]: I thought that was really smart.

07:36.304 --> 07:40.526
[SPEAKER_05]: Because at first I didn't understand, like, why are we making this such a moment of him?

07:40.586 --> 07:45.028
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, we were really watching a mugge into his pocket.

07:45.068 --> 07:46.588
[SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, there's so much flood there.

07:46.668 --> 07:48.049
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to come back later.

07:48.529 --> 07:49.950
[SPEAKER_05]: And then it was the whole thing about

07:50.730 --> 07:53.757
[SPEAKER_05]: having a complete slide, which I thought was so cool.

07:53.777 --> 07:54.719
[SPEAKER_05]: Because I don't know.

07:54.819 --> 07:57.364
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't think we haven't seen that right?

07:57.905 --> 07:58.647
[SPEAKER_01]: No, we haven't.

07:59.047 --> 07:59.849
[SPEAKER_05]: So that's fun.

07:59.869 --> 08:01.793
[SPEAKER_05]: I love these little new things.

08:02.527 --> 08:02.947
[SPEAKER_01]: same here.

08:02.967 --> 08:08.229
[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, then you have to show and tell with Dexter in this one.

08:08.389 --> 08:11.591
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's trying to act like he's read the whole time.

08:12.311 --> 08:16.293
[SPEAKER_01]: And it kind of blows his cover, too, because you know what, I'm not a vegan.

08:16.413 --> 08:23.296
[SPEAKER_01]: So he's like, you know what, I want to indulge in the buffet because it's my right mind myself at the time before I became a vegan.

08:23.796 --> 08:31.199
[SPEAKER_01]: And so he winds up being basically he goes back to being old Dexter now and to where he doesn't have to worry about being a vegan.

08:31.979 --> 08:36.520
[SPEAKER_01]: And then at first I thought I was going to reveal to everybody, and this is where this mask comes off.

08:36.620 --> 08:43.382
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, okay, so you're going to reveal that he's the Bay Harbor butcher in this moment, because that's what I had thought at first.

08:43.442 --> 08:44.762
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I'm like, okay, you're not.

08:44.802 --> 08:52.924
[SPEAKER_01]: You're just telling a story about how exhausting it is to be a serial killer and to fake how everything is to him and stuff like that.

08:53.084 --> 08:55.105
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, okay, I can take a little bit of a breather.

08:55.605 --> 08:57.466
[SPEAKER_01]: But I like to dark humor within the episode.

08:57.506 --> 08:59.487
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that really worked out really well.

08:59.827 --> 09:02.768
[SPEAKER_01]: And then the father and dexter's father Harry is actually the same.

09:02.788 --> 09:03.388
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing?

09:03.448 --> 09:04.569
[SPEAKER_01]: You're not a serial killer.

09:04.609 --> 09:07.530
[SPEAKER_01]: So he had to think of a monologue to actually help him out.

09:08.311 --> 09:10.291
[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I thought that was great.

09:10.372 --> 09:16.294
[SPEAKER_05]: I loved seeing those different sides of like Dexter slash the actor Michael C. Hall.

09:16.774 --> 09:17.735
[SPEAKER_05]: I thought that was really funny.

09:17.755 --> 09:24.798
[SPEAKER_05]: He was playing with different accents and different like personas because like he is kind of, you know, he's

09:25.458 --> 09:33.403
[SPEAKER_05]: Obviously he's masking things, so it's like he has to figure out, okay, so how would Red tell his story of how he does his kills?

09:33.844 --> 09:39.367
[SPEAKER_05]: But I thought I also to go back to deciding to eat meat.

09:39.507 --> 09:53.917
[SPEAKER_05]: I thought that that was gonna be like a very like moment for Dinklage, you know, to be like, okay, there's something iffy about this guy, you know, and like get him wondering what's happening.

09:54.297 --> 10:01.053
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, because he's like kind of changing his his whole persona in a way, you know, like what they know of

10:02.177 --> 10:02.397
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

10:02.657 --> 10:02.977
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

10:03.517 --> 10:03.858
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

10:04.638 --> 10:08.339
[SPEAKER_05]: But I thought that was a great scene with the, with the mirror and everything.

10:08.519 --> 10:18.882
[SPEAKER_05]: And then it's interesting how with this show and tell we get little glum, we got a glimpse of like, umus character when he was talking about like putting on the mask and everything like that.

10:18.942 --> 10:22.384
[SPEAKER_05]: And so there's something weird going on with her, right?

10:22.444 --> 10:26.465
[SPEAKER_05]: Like because usually she walks around like she's disgusted with all of them.

10:27.125 --> 10:30.106
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, all of the quote of what serial killers.

10:31.007 --> 10:37.450
[SPEAKER_05]: And so I feel like that was a moment where she was kind of reflective on whatever mask she's wearing.

10:38.110 --> 10:41.812
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, because we still don't know what's going on with her or her mother.

10:41.872 --> 10:42.853
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, what is that about?

10:43.633 --> 10:44.373
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

10:44.433 --> 10:44.533
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

10:44.553 --> 10:55.819
[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like the show in tell was really interesting for me because like, I felt like he came to a point where he couldn't, he decided that he could not fake this as red.

10:56.737 --> 11:01.938
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he was in that moment very authentic to himself.

11:03.099 --> 11:07.860
[SPEAKER_00]: And who Dexter is without saying that I'm not red.

11:07.880 --> 11:13.962
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he got as close to the line as he possibly could and still stayed authentic to him.

11:13.982 --> 11:18.383
[SPEAKER_00]: And he decided that he could not fake that.

11:19.544 --> 11:26.913
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that that honesty and that transparency is what led to Leon trusting him.

11:30.703 --> 11:45.252
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, his whole monologue was kind of like him almost reminding himself that he's red right now because he just he's unmentionating, you know, after every sentence and red or Smith or what, you know, like I thought that was kind of like, are they gonna see through that?

11:45.673 --> 11:58.401
[SPEAKER_05]: But how crazy to see, you know, the Rapunzel killer, his whole thing, that was like, that was tough to watch, you know, with the whole GoPro thing and then also,

11:59.281 --> 12:03.804
[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like it's super forced with him talking about his family.

12:03.904 --> 12:08.627
[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm almost thinking like, are there like, are they mannequins at home?

12:08.787 --> 12:11.869
[SPEAKER_05]: Is it like his family dad?

12:11.949 --> 12:12.909
[SPEAKER_05]: Like what's happening?

12:12.949 --> 12:18.453
[SPEAKER_05]: Because like he talks about them so much, but we never see any trace of them, you know.

12:18.613 --> 12:20.334
[SPEAKER_01]: On me is thinking he might be gay.

12:20.414 --> 12:21.855
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking he might be making it up.

12:22.591 --> 12:24.172
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah, which is fine.

12:24.192 --> 12:24.872
[SPEAKER_05]: Go for it.

12:25.112 --> 12:25.793
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's right.

12:26.213 --> 12:29.394
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm getting at because think of as he likes the atrics.

12:29.434 --> 12:31.656
[SPEAKER_01]: He's into plays and stuff.

12:31.676 --> 12:38.659
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he's just trying to put on a mask for everybody else to show that, you know, he's a family guy and things like that.

12:38.979 --> 12:50.205
[SPEAKER_01]: And ever once did we have to actually see him on the phone talking to his wife, even though it's, although we're gonna talk about the overall theme of the next episode, which is keeping your family life separate from your serial killing life.

12:50.685 --> 12:53.487
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's also another thing that plays into this as well.

12:53.607 --> 12:56.468
[SPEAKER_01]: So it could be a little bit of that as well with Al.

12:57.569 --> 13:02.812
[SPEAKER_01]: So that could be another thing that I was thinking of when watching it as watching that.

13:03.192 --> 13:05.694
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I was like, it was like him doing the GoPro.

13:05.714 --> 13:08.295
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, oh, does it present from my kids?

13:08.355 --> 13:11.277
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like all these little things that just kind of like take me out of it.

13:11.337 --> 13:12.458
[SPEAKER_05]: Like are you sure?

13:14.208 --> 13:14.468
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

13:14.548 --> 13:17.690
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, Mr. Leone, I hope that you like when I'm about to do.

13:18.530 --> 13:23.353
[SPEAKER_01]: And I like how, and Dexter's also having that ongoing feeling just as we're having that ongoing feeling.

13:23.373 --> 13:35.860
[SPEAKER_01]: You mean to tell me, I have to entertain this idea of the serial killers and sitting down with these serial killers while they're having this blood lost over the over how, how killing these girls.

13:36.541 --> 13:39.242
[SPEAKER_00]: I love his inner monologue line.

13:39.282 --> 13:41.644
[SPEAKER_00]: We're like at the end of that, he's like, they all have to die.

13:44.070 --> 13:45.210
[SPEAKER_05]: like, yes, they did.

13:45.851 --> 13:46.031
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

13:46.131 --> 13:47.871
[SPEAKER_05]: No, because that's his whole thing.

13:47.931 --> 14:00.715
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, I, and I feel like I said this before, but he talks, definitely talks about himself like having no humanity, but I feel like he has the most part, and that he cares and he's just list, uh, you,

14:01.695 --> 14:10.083
[SPEAKER_05]: this revenge killer and he takes care of like people on a way of stopping these serial killers from hurting again once they're on his radar.

14:12.205 --> 14:21.755
[SPEAKER_05]: He always downplays his importance and like he's like he's like the Batman you know what I mean like he's like taking like the sort of justice or you know

14:22.546 --> 14:24.007
[SPEAKER_01]: Because he went Harrison said this too.

14:24.088 --> 14:26.950
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you know what, you have an act for justice.

14:28.151 --> 14:30.534
[SPEAKER_01]: And then Dexter has that little look on his face.

14:30.594 --> 14:31.415
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, maybe I do.

14:31.695 --> 14:34.017
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I do have a little bit of justice in me.

14:36.680 --> 14:44.808
[SPEAKER_00]: It's interesting to go like contemplate like how many people like Dexter has saved like through the whole thing with all the serial killers he's taken out.

14:45.910 --> 14:53.518
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, there's definitely been a few good people like Dope's and stuff that he's had to take care of just to like for self preservation.

14:53.778 --> 15:00.044
[SPEAKER_05]: But yes, when you think about it as like on the grand scheme of things, probably thousands of people, if not more.

15:01.646 --> 15:09.474
[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I just feel like also with his work choice, like being the blood splatter and the list for so long,

15:10.034 --> 15:14.218
[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like that was saving people as well, I'm getting bad guys playing jail.

15:14.318 --> 15:30.232
[SPEAKER_05]: And so I feel like it's weird that he has this viewpoint of himself that he's this evil person, but in reality, it's like, I feel like in some cases, if I was given the chance, like I would get, you know, get rid of a serial killer too.

15:30.252 --> 15:31.593
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?

15:31.633 --> 15:34.796
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, they've my family or a friend or something like that.

15:35.016 --> 15:36.077
[SPEAKER_05]: No questions asked.

15:37.385 --> 15:53.769
[SPEAKER_01]: And that also plays into the next episode as well, where you were talking about the fact that, you know, where basically, Harrison said, well, he put a whole entire crew, all the criminals in, and they're not even having to wear a detective badge.

15:54.349 --> 15:59.210
[SPEAKER_01]: So he mentions that to the girl that, the girlfriend.

15:59.630 --> 15:59.970
[SPEAKER_01]: GG.

16:00.851 --> 16:10.154
[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, we're going to, okay, now we're going to go into this, the ending of the episode for episode seven, where you finally get to see Harrison at the college.

16:10.634 --> 16:12.135
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you're seeing this.

16:12.195 --> 16:14.976
[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody have the movie Copycat with Stagonie Reaver.

16:15.056 --> 16:18.097
[SPEAKER_01]: We actually have this hero killer watching this seminar going on.

16:18.877 --> 16:25.380
[SPEAKER_01]: And you have two serial killers watching everything being laid out for the New York City Ripper.

16:26.824 --> 16:30.907
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, and then he's also analyzing himself, dexterous.

16:30.948 --> 16:35.672
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, does Harrison sees me as this one-dimensional person who only cares about himself?

16:36.032 --> 16:38.355
[SPEAKER_01]: Or does he see me as his father?

16:39.476 --> 16:43.780
[SPEAKER_01]: And I like how he opens up because look, whatever she said, I'm not like that because I love you.

16:44.360 --> 16:45.081
[SPEAKER_01]: You're my son.

16:45.522 --> 16:46.643
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be there for you.

16:47.263 --> 17:07.095
[SPEAKER_01]: So I like that whole entire thing of self-care, self-examination and knowing and wanting to know how Harrison feels, but also like how they're doing the whole entire investigation and things like that and then Dexter winds up telling the detective because, well, the way it looks, it wasn't a crowbar.

17:07.315 --> 17:09.176
[SPEAKER_01]: If you maybe something with a hook,

17:09.956 --> 17:14.985
[SPEAKER_01]: And he does this whole entire thing of this blood splatter, which I thought was really cool.

17:15.105 --> 17:16.227
[SPEAKER_01]: I really liked that scene.

17:16.247 --> 17:17.889
[SPEAKER_01]: And I also put in my notes.

17:17.910 --> 17:21.776
[SPEAKER_01]: I said, I wish that Harrison had a chance to just text it if you do not come to this.

17:23.958 --> 17:24.198
[SPEAKER_05]: Right?

17:24.258 --> 17:28.802
[SPEAKER_05]: I think I feel like that would have been the move, but also maybe Harrison was so shocked.

17:29.383 --> 17:34.107
[SPEAKER_05]: And then was interested in the, you know, her presentation.

17:34.127 --> 17:39.451
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it might have happened quicker for them and their universe than like what we were watching.

17:39.491 --> 17:44.255
[SPEAKER_05]: It seemed like it was like maybe an hour long thing, you know, like discussion.

17:44.816 --> 17:46.397
[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I thought that was so wild.

17:46.477 --> 17:49.400
[SPEAKER_05]: And it made me like, I always want him to go back into

17:50.581 --> 17:58.959
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, the police department in doing the blood slatter and the list stuff because I love that that little part of him and having

18:00.059 --> 18:07.945
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, all of that stuff on his fingertips, like his kid and, you know, being able to, like, go into police records, all of that kind of stuff I really miss.

18:08.306 --> 18:20.996
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, because that was almost like his partner, you know, was like being able to dig up information and go on crime scenes and cover up his own, you know, claws, you know, picking up different things.

18:21.396 --> 18:22.817
[SPEAKER_05]: So I kind of, I miss that.

18:23.618 --> 18:27.301
[SPEAKER_05]: And I kind of think if we're still in the clear where he could go back to work, he wasn't here.

18:29.127 --> 18:32.230
[SPEAKER_01]: This is my speculation and I'm going to I said this in a Dexter fan group.

18:32.811 --> 18:47.545
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I said, I think one or two things is going to happen either Leon is going to get him to go hire him into the, you know, into the New York PD as a political as a blood splatter analyst.

18:48.386 --> 18:50.147
[SPEAKER_01]: And it also keeps tabs on him.

18:50.167 --> 18:56.012
[SPEAKER_01]: And I think at first, Leon's gonna feel like he's betrayed the trust, the dexter betrayed the trust, he's a little hurt.

18:56.332 --> 18:59.875
[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, though, think of me as like, movie dick, right?

19:01.116 --> 19:04.518
[SPEAKER_01]: Like Leon has all this collections, all this stuff, right?

19:05.039 --> 19:09.562
[SPEAKER_01]: The big one is the Bay Harbor butcher, because he has the, that's a lot more stuff that he had collected.

19:10.042 --> 19:15.526
[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine that not only does he have his collection, but he also has the Bay Harbor butcher himself.

19:16.027 --> 19:17.068
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a major geek.

19:17.708 --> 19:23.020
[SPEAKER_01]: move where he's just going to be geeking out as the fact that he has his mobile dick in a sense.

19:23.521 --> 19:28.631
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think that there's a world where this ends up with Leon helping texture?

19:29.413 --> 19:35.996
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, I will help you hunt down serial killers, but I get their trophies.

19:36.917 --> 19:38.338
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the texture will be okay with that.

19:39.118 --> 19:39.538
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

19:40.059 --> 19:45.822
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I feel like that's an interesting thought because it's like he can fund a texture.

19:45.942 --> 19:51.825
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I feel like his code of indexes could of ethics is a little off because of how much

19:52.685 --> 20:01.993
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, Pink Liz just character is supporting the serial killers, you know, making it so that they can continue on and funding them in certain ways.

20:02.934 --> 20:04.556
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, but yeah, that would be interesting.

20:04.696 --> 20:06.798
[SPEAKER_05]: I kind of think like it would be super fun.

20:06.818 --> 20:15.105
[SPEAKER_05]: And we think that, you know, the detective staying alive, like if she, it seems like she's gonna like hone in and arrest him.

20:15.545 --> 20:18.448
[SPEAKER_05]: Dexter, but then she offers him a job or something.

20:20.189 --> 20:26.734
[SPEAKER_01]: I actually have a little bit of complex theory, though, too, if mine, my other theory falls through.

20:26.754 --> 20:35.021
[SPEAKER_01]: I also have this other one as well where I'm thinking, you know, we've seen them play this narrative on extra new blood, right?

20:35.461 --> 20:38.723
[SPEAKER_01]: Retails the share because I think it can be of service to you.

20:40.185 --> 20:43.227
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, with my skills that I have because you know I'm a blood splatter analyst.

20:43.787 --> 20:46.930
[SPEAKER_01]: Why don't I help you with some of these cases that you have?

20:47.879 --> 20:51.580
[SPEAKER_01]: and help you catch the New York City, you know, Ripper.

20:52.160 --> 20:53.620
[SPEAKER_01]: But really he's only gonna help himself.

20:53.680 --> 21:01.622
[SPEAKER_01]: He'll probably probably go ahead and frame somebody else for the Bay Harbor, but not Bay Harbor, but you know, the New York City Ripper.

21:02.102 --> 21:04.863
[SPEAKER_01]: But that's just my little small thought on that.

21:06.563 --> 21:17.346
[SPEAKER_01]: We also have another thing too, but Tista, we're gonna, the last part is gonna, we're gonna, what we're gonna do is we're gonna talk about the Tista showing up at blessings and then we'll open up episode eight with

21:18.306 --> 21:22.508
[SPEAKER_01]: him looking at his conspiracy theorist chart that he has.

21:23.709 --> 21:34.995
[SPEAKER_01]: But Dexter, I mean, basically, Batista's beside himself, he's going over to the detective and he's outside his jurisdiction.

21:35.015 --> 21:41.198
[SPEAKER_01]: He's outside of his own cell and nothing is adding up other than the fact that the watch doesn't match with

21:41.938 --> 21:44.660
[SPEAKER_01]: uh, lady uh, vengeance hat has all the all it is.

21:44.680 --> 21:46.221
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just the fingerprints on the watch.

21:46.621 --> 21:49.883
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you also have him going over to blessing, blessings house.

21:50.343 --> 21:58.548
[SPEAKER_01]: And then whenever he has a part with, uh, where he has Garrett's blood and his friends brothers blood, he goes, he just sounds like Miami.

21:59.669 --> 22:00.570
[SPEAKER_01]: That's he started.

22:02.751 --> 22:04.232
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that was so funny.

22:05.793 --> 22:10.076
[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm like, what if the taste to maybe, what happens if Levis is trapped?

22:10.096 --> 22:13.578
[SPEAKER_01]: Just to lower him inside blessing and then look at it in his apartment.

22:14.279 --> 22:15.560
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I was thinking.

22:15.780 --> 22:23.004
[SPEAKER_05]: Because I know because they did a shot of just the blood, his little kid all like it was out.

22:23.185 --> 22:27.227
[SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, OK, are they going to end up back into his apartment somehow?

22:27.688 --> 22:27.888
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

22:28.532 --> 22:30.773
[SPEAKER_01]: But no, instead they go, but he's his there.

22:31.053 --> 22:34.715
[SPEAKER_01]: He's teaching blessing on how to dance to the Cuban music.

22:35.196 --> 22:40.478
[SPEAKER_01]: And then after that, he goes, so you need to write back.

22:40.979 --> 22:41.739
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you a ride.

22:42.239 --> 22:47.922
[SPEAKER_01]: And he, like how he also does surprise mother fucker to him to just in Spanish.

22:48.062 --> 22:48.803
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that was funny.

22:49.540 --> 22:59.722
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I would say everything that they're saying to each other is so there's so many double meanings going on, like it's like, what are you doing here?

22:59.842 --> 23:07.984
[SPEAKER_05]: Or, you know, you always seem to just cozy up to the, you know, the perfect, what up, you know, like every time I double meaning.

23:08.004 --> 23:13.345
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's interesting about when Batista said that, it's like, oh, it's funny how you just always fit in wherever you go.

23:13.785 --> 23:15.426
[SPEAKER_00]: But Tista does the same damn thing.

23:16.238 --> 23:16.958
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.

23:17.459 --> 23:25.163
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, who else can just like go to a stranger's house and suddenly start teaching them dancing and then best place.

23:26.083 --> 23:28.304
[SPEAKER_05]: He had been there for like four or five hours.

23:28.324 --> 23:28.825
[SPEAKER_00]: I know.

23:28.845 --> 23:31.346
[SPEAKER_05]: The worst when you can't get rid of somebody is like, please.

23:32.507 --> 23:36.169
[SPEAKER_01]: You would think by now it's like, look, it's getting time, getting time tired.

23:39.383 --> 23:47.772
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought to myself, I was like, you do the same thing, but he said, everywhere you go, you're pulling people.

23:47.792 --> 23:54.919
[SPEAKER_05]: That's the thing with him is that he does the same exact thing that he says about other people because he's lying.

23:59.703 --> 24:01.364
[SPEAKER_05]: to the police department out there.

24:01.384 --> 24:06.546
[SPEAKER_05]: They think that he's still on, you know, still in payroll and supposed to be out there.

24:06.906 --> 24:13.829
[SPEAKER_05]: And then is this the episode where, uh, detectives say in the live where she calls Miami and talks.

24:14.529 --> 24:15.110
[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.

24:15.190 --> 24:15.490
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

24:16.350 --> 24:16.990
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm getting them.

24:17.110 --> 24:19.231
[SPEAKER_05]: It's all just one big fun episode for me.

24:19.711 --> 24:20.012
[SPEAKER_01]: It is.

24:20.072 --> 24:23.333
[SPEAKER_01]: And I like how episode seven and eight coincides together.

24:23.967 --> 24:26.008
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's a perfect place.

24:26.368 --> 24:27.108
[SPEAKER_05]: It's perfect.

24:27.308 --> 24:32.470
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm glad in a way that I've been just like this where you have episode seven and eight and how it connects.

24:33.111 --> 24:35.912
[SPEAKER_01]: It makes it a whole lot better in a foreign experience to me.

24:36.392 --> 24:44.855
[SPEAKER_00]: I will say that during the ride with Batista and Dexter, where he's driving him, the soundtrack choice was awesome.

24:45.115 --> 24:48.857
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, oh, yeah, I'm not that, but the song was like something like there's a

24:49.935 --> 24:53.758
[SPEAKER_00]: It was like something about there's a standoff coming or something.

24:54.559 --> 24:57.240
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's called it's by electric light orchestra.

24:57.521 --> 24:59.302
[SPEAKER_01]: It's called showdown showdown.

24:59.342 --> 25:00.623
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's a showdown coming.

25:01.889 --> 25:03.771
[SPEAKER_01]: because I ended up downloading the song right after that.

25:03.791 --> 25:05.712
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, yeah, that's fine.

25:07.154 --> 25:08.075
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, fine.

25:08.095 --> 25:09.156
[SPEAKER_01]: Please remember that song is great.

25:09.356 --> 25:20.546
[SPEAKER_05]: Because like in the apartment with blessings family and like at the end, Dexter was like, oh yeah, we're gonna catch up on the ride home or whatever and then we cut to them in the car and it's dead silent.

25:21.346 --> 25:28.052
[SPEAKER_05]: And you feel the tension growing and then we've got like, like, you know, OG Dexter with like,

25:29.415 --> 25:31.237
[SPEAKER_05]: with his threats, and I love his threats.

25:31.558 --> 25:32.018
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, too.

25:32.659 --> 25:33.039
[SPEAKER_01]: Me, too.

25:33.260 --> 25:36.763
[SPEAKER_01]: And you mentioned this in a stage about how much you've been really wanting this.

25:37.124 --> 25:40.087
[SPEAKER_01]: Where it's like, it's just them one on one.

25:40.307 --> 25:42.770
[SPEAKER_01]: Dexter saying, look, stay the F away from my family.

25:43.010 --> 25:43.831
[SPEAKER_01]: Stay away from me.

25:44.852 --> 25:48.016
[SPEAKER_01]: And you don't not want to be playing this game that you're playing.

25:49.420 --> 25:54.661
[SPEAKER_05]: He literally says, if I am the person you think I am, this doesn't end well for you.

25:55.262 --> 25:56.362
[SPEAKER_05]: And he's so right.

25:56.382 --> 26:06.864
[SPEAKER_05]: And it's like, Angel, he's just so blind with trying to make this puzzle piece fit, which it does fit.

26:06.964 --> 26:11.645
[SPEAKER_05]: We know as the viewer, but for him it's, you know, it's the Jigsaw puzzle.

26:11.745 --> 26:17.707
[SPEAKER_05]: It's a little skewed and he just trying to make, you know, the square piece fit into the round circle.

26:18.487 --> 26:29.831
[SPEAKER_05]: You know and he's blowing up his whole life over it Exactly you're stalking you have no proof on anything.

26:29.851 --> 26:30.972
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you have his dairy.

26:30.992 --> 26:32.813
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's it.

26:33.433 --> 26:38.655
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and saying that's technically impersonating a police officer

26:40.206 --> 26:42.247
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because they're a retired cop, you're a pedestrian.

26:42.968 --> 26:43.868
[SPEAKER_00]: He's a civilian now.

26:44.169 --> 26:45.369
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it would be one thing.

26:45.389 --> 26:52.354
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I think they would still respect him if he said, if he was honest and said, like, OK, I have this hunch, I'm retired.

26:52.474 --> 26:54.155
[SPEAKER_05]: I've given my life the force.

26:54.896 --> 27:06.163
[SPEAKER_05]: I could see people respecting that I would if I was on the other side, you know, but him just outright lying and introducing himself as detected, but he said, you know, to like, blessings and stuff.

27:06.223 --> 27:06.764
[SPEAKER_05]: And it's like, OK.

27:08.903 --> 27:10.364
[SPEAKER_05]: You're in the luck naughty list now.

27:10.784 --> 27:12.144
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's in trouble.

27:13.085 --> 27:23.568
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and then also too, I like how we I actually posted like a Dexter gift and look on my face when I hear Patissa say that he put a bug in his car.

27:23.588 --> 27:25.509
[SPEAKER_01]: And like, do you though, do you have a bug?

27:25.929 --> 27:27.410
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you have AirPods.

27:29.164 --> 27:43.972
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, well, I was trying to think I was like with that work in real life because I know that my AirPods Pro they make sounds they like Yeah, you're losing the AirPods, but here's thing if they're in the case, they don't make any sound.

27:44.292 --> 27:45.013
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't mind my

27:45.850 --> 27:47.892
[SPEAKER_05]: case makes, well, it's like the newer.

27:47.912 --> 27:48.593
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

27:48.793 --> 27:59.644
[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know what version he has because they're like, you know, there's a new one every like six months, I feel like, but like mine makes sounds when it's like the batteries are going lower.

28:00.024 --> 28:03.308
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, I don't even know why it makes sounds, but it definitely talks.

28:04.269 --> 28:07.992
[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, I would think that you would have done like an air tack or something.

28:08.673 --> 28:17.995
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like something else, but I guess he wasn't planning on it, even though he was trying to, you know, have a confrontation with Dexter.

28:18.095 --> 28:19.256
[SPEAKER_05]: So it's kind of weird.

28:19.336 --> 28:22.697
[SPEAKER_05]: And also like, yeah, yeah, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself.

28:22.877 --> 28:23.337
[SPEAKER_05]: Forget my life.

28:23.357 --> 28:24.557
[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's okay.

28:24.577 --> 28:28.458
[SPEAKER_01]: But also to Dexter also doesn't even check his car.

28:28.538 --> 28:29.838
[SPEAKER_01]: He just keeps on driving.

28:30.098 --> 28:31.639
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like,

28:32.462 --> 28:32.722
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

28:32.922 --> 28:42.806
[SPEAKER_01]: You would think that he would actually check his car right then and there, but instead they wait until the next episode, but I mean, one of my friends and I goes, how much you want to bet that those carepots die when the next episode?

28:44.187 --> 28:45.828
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the battery power sucks.

28:46.488 --> 28:46.968
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

28:47.648 --> 28:49.709
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, your friend was right in a way.

28:50.150 --> 28:50.470
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

28:50.910 --> 28:51.690
[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely died.

28:57.234 --> 29:02.736
[SPEAKER_01]: So now we're going to go with episode eight, which is the kill room where it happens.

29:03.516 --> 29:12.880
[SPEAKER_01]: So I love how it opens up to that wide-angle shot of Batista on the bed looking at the at his conspiracy theorist's wall.

29:13.380 --> 29:15.981
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, like yarn and stuff.

29:16.161 --> 29:20.883
[SPEAKER_01]: How about how are the connects and then you also have

29:22.061 --> 29:34.950
[SPEAKER_01]: him talking about Dexter and talking about how he's tracking him and about Cuban restaurants and he's going to try and track them outside of his normal everyday routine.

29:35.650 --> 29:37.571
[SPEAKER_01]: So you have that going on.

29:37.611 --> 29:43.876
[SPEAKER_01]: Then you also have Dexter's kill list with Rapunzel being the one that's left over, which is Al.

29:45.077 --> 29:59.423
[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, we're going to talk a lot about this, but this, this episode, the overall theme to me is keeping your family life separate from your serial killer life and also even with blessing and his daughter about keeping his life separate as well.

30:00.187 --> 30:03.510
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of interesting on how they play the narrative off of that.

30:03.530 --> 30:24.627
[SPEAKER_01]: I also said Leon wears a mask just as the serial killers do when they are out in the public view because of the tribute to the police officer and being injured in the line of duty and the way when Charlie approaches him as mask comes off as now he's pissed at this other situation outside of the whole entire banquet thing that they're having for their officers, but

30:25.388 --> 30:28.251
[SPEAKER_01]: At first, I thought when a really young goes, so how's your daughter doing?

30:28.771 --> 30:36.458
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought, okay, you trying to threaten this woman, and then all of a sudden he goes, oh, the mental, mental stuff worked out great for her.

30:36.538 --> 30:36.999
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, good.

30:37.019 --> 30:38.760
[SPEAKER_01]: It's only okay.

30:38.840 --> 30:40.202
[SPEAKER_00]: So it still think it was a threat.

30:40.222 --> 30:43.885
[SPEAKER_05]: It did vibe like a threat.

30:43.945 --> 30:51.392
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know, like, how could you fact this up, you know, this whole thing that I've been working on or whatever, it's important to him.

30:52.419 --> 30:54.781
[SPEAKER_05]: And then I helped you with your daughter.

30:54.881 --> 30:55.783
[SPEAKER_05]: Like what's this about?

30:56.003 --> 30:56.463
[SPEAKER_05]: You know?

30:57.344 --> 31:05.414
[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, just like a thought going back a little bit with Angel talking into his like found like recording himself.

31:06.035 --> 31:10.360
[SPEAKER_05]: Do you guys think that it's that he's it's kind of like

31:11.701 --> 31:24.926
[SPEAKER_05]: He's like keeping track of his whereabouts and like almost like saying like if I go missing or if I suddenly die under like weird circumstances like I wouldn't kill myself.

31:25.186 --> 31:36.350
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm dead than somebody murdered me and also as a second part do you think that his recordings are linked to the cloud where somebody else is listening and getting updated?

31:38.689 --> 31:40.711
[SPEAKER_05]: What is happening with these recordings?

31:40.731 --> 31:42.432
[SPEAKER_05]: He's talking about everything.

31:42.452 --> 31:47.455
[SPEAKER_05]: I was surprised when he didn't get an update on his coffee or if he took a cigarette break or something.

31:50.402 --> 31:54.664
[SPEAKER_01]: For me, I don't think anybody would be listening to his cloud because he's retired cop.

31:55.164 --> 31:59.466
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm like, it's just all the, it's just theory right now and theory.

31:59.486 --> 32:04.669
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just him trying to prove that Dexter is actually the big Harvard butcher.

32:05.249 --> 32:16.875
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I think he was going to go ahead and turn everything into the detective and have Dexter and his in custody and have all the proof that they needed all in one want, want, want.

32:17.415 --> 32:19.416
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that was what he was trying to go for.

32:19.816 --> 32:21.016
[SPEAKER_01]: That's just me speculating.

32:21.757 --> 32:35.282
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I definitely think that there could be something to what Anastasia said about if like if he just disappears or goes missing that there's a trail that he left for somebody to investigate.

32:37.423 --> 32:39.643
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I'm not sure.

32:39.883 --> 32:41.284
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that anybody would like.

32:41.324 --> 32:43.485
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's like working with anybody.

32:44.905 --> 32:52.530
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm just kind of thinking like is there somebody like in Miami that he's like still connected with or anything?

32:52.550 --> 32:53.290
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't know.

32:53.490 --> 32:56.672
[SPEAKER_05]: Sometimes there's like these random characters that come in, you know?

32:56.732 --> 32:57.592
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, that's true.

32:57.752 --> 32:59.293
[SPEAKER_01]: Someone that we don't know or expect.

32:59.774 --> 33:07.338
[SPEAKER_01]: But then again, Joey is like, Quinn is, Joseph Quinn is actually the only one that is in content that knows him.

33:07.678 --> 33:11.440
[SPEAKER_01]: And so does Masuka, but I don't see Masuka with a joy.

33:12.858 --> 33:14.519
[SPEAKER_01]: listening in on the conversation.

33:15.399 --> 33:15.619
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

33:15.679 --> 33:20.121
[SPEAKER_05]: No, I was thinking I was like, didn't he have like, who was babysitting for Dexter?

33:20.181 --> 33:22.061
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, wasn't that his niece or something?

33:22.081 --> 33:29.104
[SPEAKER_05]: I was trying to think like, maybe she would be like, you know, like, ready to blah, right?

33:29.464 --> 33:30.624
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't know.

33:30.644 --> 33:34.626
[SPEAKER_05]: I just kind of think because like you don't have so much effort to record every little thing.

33:36.374 --> 33:40.737
[SPEAKER_01]: improve, but every detective pretty much requires their own stuff that would too.

33:40.917 --> 33:42.398
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's kind of like that thing.

33:42.418 --> 33:44.200
[SPEAKER_01]: It was like the police force never really left him.

33:44.220 --> 33:50.764
[SPEAKER_01]: So we used to think that he's still working this case when he's not working this case, even Joseph says, well, he's retired.

33:51.305 --> 33:53.266
[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, so maybe it's a true.

33:53.587 --> 33:53.947
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

33:54.227 --> 33:54.407
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

33:54.867 --> 33:55.388
[SPEAKER_05]: Works for me.

33:55.986 --> 34:00.730
[SPEAKER_01]: But then what did you guys think about the whole entire thing with Leon and Charlie and the kitchen?

34:00.750 --> 34:04.414
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, what do you, what do you pay me for?

34:04.714 --> 34:05.595
[SPEAKER_01]: Just to keep me safe.

34:05.775 --> 34:07.477
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, then do your fucking job.

34:08.438 --> 34:20.349
[SPEAKER_01]: And so she brought everything, everything that Leon said and broke everything down with the manipulation and the killing of Garrett and the serial killers and things like that.

34:20.369 --> 34:21.770
[SPEAKER_01]: It's exactly how it happened.

34:23.003 --> 34:25.192
[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't know about red.

34:25.293 --> 34:26.257
[SPEAKER_01]: We don't know anything about

34:27.070 --> 34:31.613
[SPEAKER_01]: What we're doing is going off of maybe I might have missed something or something like that.

34:32.354 --> 34:35.996
[SPEAKER_01]: And then after that, you don't see any more of that happening.

34:36.536 --> 34:40.379
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I feel like I feel like Leon was in that scene.

34:41.580 --> 34:42.661
[SPEAKER_00]: She presented everything.

34:42.681 --> 34:45.763
[SPEAKER_00]: And he was like, I trust him.

34:46.423 --> 34:47.904
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's good.

34:48.324 --> 34:52.948
[SPEAKER_00]: But that last line, I also feel like he said, look, I don't believe that you're right.

34:53.648 --> 34:54.188
[SPEAKER_00]: But go ahead.

34:54.369 --> 34:56.290
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he gave her permission to investigate.

34:56.925 --> 34:57.106
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

34:57.408 --> 34:59.439
[SPEAKER_01]: That's where he says go to your fucking job.

34:59.580 --> 34:59.761
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

35:01.288 --> 35:02.148
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I agree.

35:02.188 --> 35:10.853
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I actually, on this episode, I had to pause it because I was like telling my husband, like, okay, so he's like a billionaire.

35:11.113 --> 35:14.194
[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, he has everything on his fingertips.

35:14.474 --> 35:19.017
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you're telling me that Dexter is walking around town and they're not trailing him.

35:19.397 --> 35:20.477
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, they don't know.

35:20.617 --> 35:25.259
[SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, Dexter is so not pretending to be red when he's out and about.

35:25.600 --> 35:25.780
[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

35:25.840 --> 35:26.880
[SPEAKER_05]: He's not covering you.

35:26.900 --> 35:27.561
[SPEAKER_04]: He's the opposite.

35:28.621 --> 35:55.458
[SPEAKER_05]: at all yeah he's like a thousand percent he's walking around with like friends and family and it's like you would think that I mean if I thought that you know if I'm dealing with somebody like that I'm definitely thinking okay I'm gonna be trailed I'm gonna be under surveillance I'm gonna have to have this persona just like kind of like how the Gemini killer you know like they had their whole code of not being seen together or anything like that you know it's like for me if I was extra I'd be like okay

35:55.898 --> 35:58.460
[SPEAKER_05]: when I leave my apartment, I've got to be red.

35:58.480 --> 36:12.152
[SPEAKER_05]: Because who knows what he has, like, can, can, can, can, can, can, like, watch, like, just, like, the right killers surveillance cameras because he's connected to the place, like, of buildings, like, in the city.

36:12.572 --> 36:13.953
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know what I mean?

36:13.973 --> 36:16.475
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I feel like nothing is off the table for him.

36:16.895 --> 36:18.877
[SPEAKER_05]: And so that kind of bugs me.

36:18.897 --> 36:21.880
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, how do they not find out that he's, you know?

36:22.512 --> 36:28.498
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I was also thinking the same thing too though, like after the meet after he gets some with the party and stuff like that too.

36:28.518 --> 36:33.543
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, he's a billionaire when he'd be tracking you and stuff.

36:34.043 --> 36:45.795
[SPEAKER_01]: And that was my first thing that thought of, I don't trust, you know what I'm saying, you shouldn't trust billionaires who can who has their hands in their pockets with FBI agents and police officers would make sure you think that they're not going to have taps on you.

36:46.663 --> 37:00.972
[SPEAKER_05]: And also with them all getting their cars and one lot and leaving them unsupervised for so long in him taking them away on a halocopter, I could see somebody else besides like Charlie putting trackers on.

37:01.052 --> 37:04.054
[SPEAKER_05]: I'd like that would be my go to if I was a billionaire.

37:04.354 --> 37:08.897
[SPEAKER_05]: And I want to keep track because maybe I'm worried that they're going to come kill me, you know?

37:08.917 --> 37:11.399
[SPEAKER_01]: Or Leon himself.

37:12.563 --> 37:13.384
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's what I mean.

37:13.444 --> 37:14.204
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, right.

37:14.404 --> 37:14.804
[SPEAKER_01]: I get you.

37:15.365 --> 37:32.413
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and so like I feel like that's just like a little bit of a whole like because we're just making him such a big force and that he's so connected with the police and they want to do everything they can to make him happy and he's like probably bringing them funding and spotlighting them and you know what I mean?

37:32.433 --> 37:35.955
[SPEAKER_05]: Like people like bend over backwards for other people like that, you know?

37:36.627 --> 37:36.807
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

37:37.107 --> 37:44.149
[SPEAKER_01]: So, let's see now we got Steve Sharipa, which is the guy from the sopranos and stuff like that.

37:44.289 --> 37:50.410
[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, everybody was speculating maybe Harrison really killed the landlord because he hasn't been answering his phone.

37:50.871 --> 37:55.612
[SPEAKER_01]: But I was thinking myself, no, if you're a shitty landlord, you're not going to be answering this person's phone.

37:56.612 --> 38:06.485
[SPEAKER_01]: So I was like, so I put that off, but he, but also too, I was thinking that Harrison might actually kill him after this, but he, but it winds up in the opposite.

38:06.525 --> 38:07.526
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll talk about that in a minute.

38:08.087 --> 38:13.373
[SPEAKER_01]: Then we actually have Dexter decorating the kill room in a weak shop for Al.

38:14.014 --> 38:22.216
[SPEAKER_01]: The perfect way to get rid of Al, Dexter's shoulder is still hurting him, but he's to track him to the wakes shop.

38:22.737 --> 38:28.158
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I question on this is like, is this wakes shop never open?

38:28.378 --> 38:31.899
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, how long to, how long was it between heat?

38:32.059 --> 38:40.202
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, Dexter's setting up the kill room for Al, and then, like, well, there was, there was like a scene where he walks up and there's, there's like, um,

38:42.003 --> 38:46.709
[SPEAKER_05]: even know, but they said that they're at a town for extra kind of time for vacation.

38:47.190 --> 38:51.015
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think it was going to be abandoned, but also it's like, why would you stay that?

38:51.095 --> 38:53.578
[SPEAKER_05]: Because like then somebody's going to rob your place.

38:54.319 --> 38:55.020
[SPEAKER_05]: So weird.

38:55.120 --> 38:56.923
[SPEAKER_05]: And then later on, it's like,

38:57.521 --> 39:03.222
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't understand why Dexter, like, because at first I thought that it was just one big room.

39:03.482 --> 39:07.823
[SPEAKER_05]: And I was like, okay, that's why Dexter put the, like, plastic sheeting over the front.

39:08.223 --> 39:10.904
[SPEAKER_05]: But then we go in there and there's a separate room.

39:11.404 --> 39:14.324
[SPEAKER_05]: And so he did a double, like, kill room.

39:14.344 --> 39:15.544
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, why was it?

39:15.564 --> 39:18.285
[SPEAKER_05]: Because that's what kind of led to Joel.

39:18.345 --> 39:22.186
[SPEAKER_05]: That's, that gets him off because he's like, oh, no, the plastic sheeting.

39:22.226 --> 39:23.186
[SPEAKER_05]: That's the course.

39:24.086 --> 39:25.207
[SPEAKER_05]: No, no, no, man.

39:25.227 --> 39:26.428
[SPEAKER_05]: Say, guess the call sign.

39:26.448 --> 39:28.389
[SPEAKER_05]: But he did that.

39:28.609 --> 39:29.870
[SPEAKER_05]: And it was so force.

39:30.190 --> 39:33.192
[SPEAKER_05]: And then, him leaving the sign on, you know what I mean?

39:33.252 --> 39:37.895
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, texture is getting sloppy or somebody on the art department is getting sloppy with this.

39:39.295 --> 39:40.456
[SPEAKER_05]: Is that what it means like me?

39:40.556 --> 39:42.297
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, because like, I'm very continuity.

39:42.657 --> 39:44.559
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like, I call continuity all the time.

39:44.619 --> 39:47.881
[SPEAKER_05]: And so like, if I was outside, I would be like, we cannot have this here.

39:47.921 --> 39:50.702
[SPEAKER_05]: We have to, we have to make a different story line.

39:50.742 --> 39:52.723
[SPEAKER_05]: He's got to come in from the back or something like that.

39:52.784 --> 39:53.084
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

39:53.704 --> 39:59.369
[SPEAKER_01]: But my first thought was this though, too, with him, don't forget them.

39:59.689 --> 40:02.192
[SPEAKER_01]: We actually have Sgramrap everywhere.

40:02.352 --> 40:03.733
[SPEAKER_01]: We have it near the mannequins.

40:03.813 --> 40:06.215
[SPEAKER_01]: We have it over here with the Wigsar.

40:06.676 --> 40:11.820
[SPEAKER_01]: My thing was this, he could also use the excuse that they're under renovations as well.

40:12.481 --> 40:13.302
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I guess.

40:17.685 --> 40:34.194
[SPEAKER_05]: My doubt for August because it's such a call, calling cards for Dexter, you know, like, and then but he said would be on that because he knows what, like the, the, the, the harbor butchers, kill rooms look like because they've like invested in them.

40:34.334 --> 40:34.975
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?

40:35.115 --> 40:39.817
[SPEAKER_05]: So that's where I was like, oh, it's a little goofy, but you know, it's still fun.

40:40.398 --> 40:41.158
[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with you.

40:41.358 --> 40:44.500
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, this round we have at the front of the store that made no sense.

40:45.763 --> 40:46.703
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't define what now.

40:46.763 --> 40:49.084
[SPEAKER_00]: Once you go in there, you go go a long hallway.

40:49.544 --> 40:52.025
[SPEAKER_00]: He takes her ever to get from the front to the kill room.

40:52.045 --> 40:56.846
[SPEAKER_05]: Because I'm thinking, I was like, is Dexter really going to kill this guy?

40:56.886 --> 41:03.147
[SPEAKER_05]: Like in the front area, like right when people are just walking past, there's always like a blood splatter.

41:08.068 --> 41:09.029
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how they get the red.

41:10.109 --> 41:12.770
[SPEAKER_01]: Dying's on the wigs, you know, if they just use the blood splatter.

41:15.377 --> 41:20.059
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, um, but that's door looks small from the outside in the inside.

41:20.119 --> 41:28.804
[SPEAKER_01]: It's ten times bigger than what it's anticipated because in New York stores, because I'm also from Boston, I also know a layout of a small store.

41:29.244 --> 41:30.125
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not that big.

41:30.625 --> 41:31.305
[SPEAKER_01]: You have a back.

41:31.385 --> 41:36.328
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it's not as big as they what they made it out to be as far as this weak shop is.

41:37.268 --> 41:43.858
[SPEAKER_01]: But they could always use the excuse of, I'm using, I'm getting in or basically using renovations.

41:45.099 --> 41:46.361
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why the plastic is up.

41:46.762 --> 41:48.264
[SPEAKER_01]: But then again, they're on vacation.

41:48.304 --> 41:52.229
[SPEAKER_01]: So why would they have, I guess what you're saying is I couldn't cotton you to the error within it.

41:52.930 --> 41:53.710
[SPEAKER_01]: when you're looking at it.

41:55.711 --> 41:59.792
[SPEAKER_01]: The other thing though, too, is, you know, at first, the thesis like, well, where is he?

41:59.852 --> 42:00.632
[SPEAKER_01]: Where's Dexter at?

42:00.672 --> 42:01.973
[SPEAKER_01]: I tracked him all the way over here.

42:02.293 --> 42:03.593
[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't even know where he's at.

42:03.693 --> 42:04.773
[SPEAKER_01]: He's parked in the alley.

42:05.314 --> 42:07.494
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's also slick on Dexter.

42:07.594 --> 42:11.155
[SPEAKER_01]: So I really like that part of him pulling Batista with that.

42:12.856 --> 42:14.296
[SPEAKER_01]: Then Dexter shoulder hurting.

42:14.336 --> 42:18.237
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, okay, how the hell are you going to get out into that car?

42:18.497 --> 42:19.518
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you're shoulder hurting.

42:19.558 --> 42:19.858
[SPEAKER_01]: And then,

42:20.618 --> 42:28.583
[SPEAKER_01]: He winds up getting the needles put in him by blessing's daughter, which is the alcohol culture and needles.

42:29.244 --> 42:33.767
[SPEAKER_01]: And even with the needles, I don't think it would actually be that quickly to where, like, you know what, I'm good to go.

42:33.827 --> 42:34.307
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm healed.

42:34.327 --> 42:37.429
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go on a head and start putting this guy in the trunk.

42:37.889 --> 42:40.831
[SPEAKER_00]: I've never had acupuncture, but maybe, I don't know.

42:41.312 --> 42:42.512
[SPEAKER_01]: I never had it either, so.

42:42.713 --> 42:46.055
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't think it's able to heal your muscle like that.

42:46.275 --> 42:46.775
[SPEAKER_00]: That fast.

42:48.416 --> 42:48.696
[SPEAKER_00]: That's good.

42:48.736 --> 42:49.117
[SPEAKER_00]: I need that.

42:49.641 --> 43:09.359
[SPEAKER_05]: both of those guys like the landlord and that they're a big boy, you know, and I thought that was so funny with like when he gets the landlord in and then there's like somebody just on their phone, one by it's so true, like how many people are on their phones all the time, they would not notice anything happening.

43:09.379 --> 43:12.682
[SPEAKER_01]: I like it because I love New York of New York.

43:14.093 --> 43:24.399
[SPEAKER_05]: So it's like, do you think that Dexter was planning on, because for, I'm talking about the landlord, he didn't really meet the specifics of his code.

43:25.039 --> 43:30.182
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, because he was like, I feel like he was having this discussion with like his ghost ad.

43:30.202 --> 43:33.725
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, you know, it was like kind of like a moral issue.

43:33.745 --> 43:35.886
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, are you sure you're going to like tell this guy?

43:35.926 --> 43:38.988
[SPEAKER_05]: He doesn't really meet any of the seven Dexter's like,

43:39.628 --> 43:55.105
[SPEAKER_05]: probably thinking like yeah he's probably killed somebody you know and like trying to figure that out to make it to make it justified for him but also it's like kind of where cause he like had the panty hose over his head and everything so it's like

43:56.126 --> 43:56.506
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

43:56.646 --> 44:00.649
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm debating on if he was because that in the moment he was right there.

44:00.689 --> 44:09.434
[SPEAKER_05]: It's gonna let him go, but it's like he's still recognizable and also because he had that confrontation in the office.

44:09.894 --> 44:11.315
[SPEAKER_05]: Like five minutes before.

44:11.335 --> 44:18.399
[SPEAKER_05]: So it's probably in his head like when people piss me off like on the rip, I'm gonna remember what they look like in five minutes, you know.

44:18.419 --> 44:18.680
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

44:19.660 --> 44:40.172
[SPEAKER_01]: But also to those and it was dark at night and another thing as well I want to mention this to he calls a red first after after confrontation with land lord I believe and that go he that falls through because remember that he was going to go ahead get coffee with al and then al cancels out on him and

44:40.992 --> 44:44.397
[SPEAKER_01]: You guys look man, I'm already heading out of the city and stuff.

44:44.717 --> 44:47.741
[SPEAKER_01]: So we already had that edge to want to kill somebody.

44:48.262 --> 44:53.990
[SPEAKER_01]: And at first, I put in my notes, I'm like, this is very impulsive of Dexter to want to go after the landlord.

44:54.789 --> 44:57.451
[SPEAKER_01]: Then the way he does it, I'm like, okay, never mind.

44:57.511 --> 45:03.036
[SPEAKER_01]: He's because even his following father goes, you're kind of reaching aren't few decks with this whole entire thing.

45:03.076 --> 45:12.124
[SPEAKER_01]: He's looking through the coding of the apartments rules and regulations to make sure like you said in a station with if he fits the code or not.

45:12.725 --> 45:14.747
[SPEAKER_01]: And he goes, you're kind of reaching decks.

45:15.745 --> 45:17.307
[SPEAKER_01]: This guy does not fit the code.

45:17.888 --> 45:18.248
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

45:18.869 --> 45:19.690
[SPEAKER_00]: Just me personally.

45:19.750 --> 45:21.472
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he was ever going to kill him.

45:21.552 --> 45:22.533
[SPEAKER_00]: I think he thought about it.

45:23.074 --> 45:32.045
[SPEAKER_00]: But just the fact that he wore the panty hose thing tells me that he was going to let him live because he's never done that before with anybody that he's killed.

45:32.646 --> 45:36.348
[SPEAKER_00]: Like he wants them to see them, see him before he kills them.

45:36.768 --> 45:38.949
[SPEAKER_00]: So he was, I think he was going to let them go.

45:38.969 --> 45:44.692
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, yeah, I was kind of on the edge of it because it's like he did.

45:44.932 --> 45:50.135
[SPEAKER_05]: It was almost like the Lollipop got pulled out of his mouth without dicking.

45:50.655 --> 45:57.696
[SPEAKER_05]: And also, I mean, like, to step back on that whole situation, like, how forced was extra?

45:57.816 --> 46:00.557
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, he was not being casual at all.

46:00.597 --> 46:03.718
[SPEAKER_05]: He was very forceful on trying, like, very weird.

46:04.138 --> 46:11.439
[SPEAKER_05]: And that probably raised red flags without this, like, serial killer, like, okay, all of these people are dying around red.

46:11.979 --> 46:13.479
[SPEAKER_05]: And he wants to meet with me.

46:13.580 --> 46:14.480
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, I'm nuts.

46:14.620 --> 46:15.920
[SPEAKER_05]: I don't even think he went

46:16.240 --> 46:21.003
[SPEAKER_05]: to the Broadway show.

46:22.444 --> 46:25.887
[SPEAKER_00]: The telling thing in that whole thing is when he threw the phone out the window.

46:26.407 --> 46:28.289
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, because I remember this location.

46:28.749 --> 46:31.471
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think you wanted to know that like red was in a spot.

46:36.234 --> 46:37.154
[SPEAKER_05]: planning to meet him.

46:37.194 --> 46:39.655
[SPEAKER_05]: So he couldn't be followed out of the city.

46:39.695 --> 46:41.275
[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't think he ever went there.

46:41.295 --> 46:44.836
[SPEAKER_05]: I think he left wherever in that first conversation.

46:44.856 --> 46:46.396
[SPEAKER_05]: He's like in his hotel room.

46:46.776 --> 46:49.837
[SPEAKER_05]: I think from his hotel room, he left the city.

46:49.977 --> 46:57.159
[SPEAKER_05]: And so he was probably like hundreds of miles away by the time we tracked back where Dexter's like, oh, I'll just meet you on the road.

46:57.199 --> 46:58.119
[SPEAKER_05]: It's like, how weird.

46:58.199 --> 47:00.299
[SPEAKER_05]: You know,

47:03.306 --> 47:20.090
[SPEAKER_01]: but also to another thing that that conversation with Alan the phone and stuff with that, where Dexter's like, well, I can meet up with you, dad, dad, dad, dad, he goes, oh my bad, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I forgot to tell you, I already texted Leon.

47:20.510 --> 47:32.813
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm thinking to myself, did he tip off Leon and how creepy Dexter is acting to put Charlie at that position at the very end, Charlie and Leon to track him.

47:33.373 --> 47:35.755
[SPEAKER_01]: because then he throws the phone out that window.

47:35.875 --> 47:37.576
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a burner phone.

47:37.836 --> 47:42.679
[SPEAKER_01]: So that makes sense for a serial killer not to have an actual contract phone or anything because it's a burner.

47:43.099 --> 47:47.322
[SPEAKER_01]: But I was just thinking, did he tip off Leon in that and made them track him?

47:48.142 --> 47:49.363
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I really did text.

47:50.164 --> 47:51.284
[SPEAKER_05]: That makes a total sense.

47:53.595 --> 48:02.438
[SPEAKER_05]: Because, yeah, his guard would be up with everything happening and then Dexter's slash red acting so crazy to want to see him.

48:03.119 --> 48:04.019
[SPEAKER_05]: And then that's right.

48:04.059 --> 48:05.019
[SPEAKER_05]: He did say that.

48:05.039 --> 48:10.941
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, and it's like kind of like how long has owl been going to these dinners?

48:11.021 --> 48:17.863
[SPEAKER_05]: How much like how well is he secure with, with things that just character?

48:17.963 --> 48:19.184
[SPEAKER_05]: You know that whole thing.

48:19.204 --> 48:19.304
[SPEAKER_05]: Right.

48:19.664 --> 48:23.086
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, has it been like five years, has it been ten years?

48:23.146 --> 48:25.027
[SPEAKER_05]: How long has it been active?

48:25.087 --> 48:28.849
[SPEAKER_05]: We're nothing like this has ever happened and then all of a sudden and rad comes in.

48:29.410 --> 48:35.573
[SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, I mean, I kind of wish that this whole thing, I feel like it could have happened over a few seasons, you know?

48:35.593 --> 48:41.457
[SPEAKER_05]: I feel like I would, what would like to spend more time with some of the other serial killers?

48:42.578 --> 48:51.359
[SPEAKER_05]: But I guess, I mean, there's always some looming serial killer that Dex has to find in the background, you know?

48:52.210 --> 48:53.951
[SPEAKER_05]: And so I guess that's like the Ripper.

48:54.732 --> 49:03.377
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and that's what I wanted to mention though, too, because you mentioned this earlier too, like, you know, about how rushed it was to kill off carrots and stuff.

49:03.878 --> 49:06.900
[SPEAKER_01]: But in the back of my mind, I'm like, think of this as like a video game.

49:07.000 --> 49:11.042
[SPEAKER_01]: You have all these other little minions you have to go ahead and kill before you get to the big dad.

49:11.783 --> 49:13.244
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm thinking.

49:13.884 --> 49:14.725
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, exactly.

49:14.785 --> 49:19.788
[SPEAKER_01]: So the boss fight would actually be the New York City Ripper.

49:20.351 --> 49:21.832
[SPEAKER_00]: Having a scary on who it is.

49:22.832 --> 49:23.632
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, do tell.

49:24.273 --> 49:26.233
[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's the lead detective.

49:26.313 --> 49:27.634
[SPEAKER_00]: I think she investigated herself.

49:28.054 --> 49:30.795
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, could never find, like, I like him.

49:30.835 --> 49:31.235
[SPEAKER_00]: Find him.

49:35.544 --> 49:39.487
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, but also to the people are saying, well, the voice doesn't match or anything like that.

49:39.547 --> 49:43.410
[SPEAKER_01]: They could use voice changers and stuff like that to make it not her.

49:43.930 --> 49:53.877
[SPEAKER_01]: But at the same time, though, she's also using a, you know, one of those things to actually take off holes, manholes, manhole covers.

49:54.398 --> 49:59.441
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's like, does she have enough strength to be able to use something like that?

50:00.042 --> 50:01.623
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, she doesn't look like.

50:02.227 --> 50:04.129
[SPEAKER_05]: She's like totally beefed out.

50:04.209 --> 50:05.390
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?

50:05.470 --> 50:11.875
[SPEAKER_05]: Like she's like kind of like, you know, you can tell when somebody, you know, has, you know, they're knacking their back and everything.

50:11.935 --> 50:13.756
[SPEAKER_05]: And she's like a little bit skinny arm.

50:13.857 --> 50:15.017
[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know, maybe.

50:15.558 --> 50:29.810
[SPEAKER_05]: But I have a thought that maybe the same alive detective, maybe she is one of the victim's sisters because they were talking about earlier that the New York Ripper has been calling

50:31.133 --> 50:50.220
[SPEAKER_05]: surviving sister and kind of antagonizing her and so maybe maybe that thought she's connected to the river or you know because like there has been time where the river didn't kill maybe she took up maybe she got so warped and went crazy and took up the reins sort of something you know

50:52.471 --> 51:01.199
[SPEAKER_01]: I was also thinking it might be Harrison's girlfriend, Gigi, with her having her damage for some reason too.

51:01.560 --> 51:04.262
[SPEAKER_05]: With the blonde, that was the blonde.

51:04.683 --> 51:08.746
[SPEAKER_05]: I was thinking that she might be like a sacrificial lamb or something.

51:08.806 --> 51:09.527
[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I mean?

51:09.567 --> 51:15.452
[SPEAKER_05]: That's why she's in like maybe something's going to happen and then like Harrison and Dexter are going to have to team up and

51:16.233 --> 51:30.380
[SPEAKER_05]: save her because yeah, it's kind of random that they're like I mean what we have like two episodes last the season is that right like it's so weird to like you know, he's already got like another girlfriend

51:32.155 --> 51:40.920
[SPEAKER_05]: I was thinking that when they were coming down the elevator, I was thinking that they were going to bump into her and then she was going to get jealous or something.

51:40.980 --> 51:56.169
[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm kind of glad that they didn't do that trope, but I was kind of thinking because there was a little bit of chemistry between his work partner and the kid and how he's supportive of her and stuff.

51:57.089 --> 51:58.670
[SPEAKER_01]: See, I was in the opposite though.

51:58.730 --> 52:00.551
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think that they're a boyfriend and girlfriend.

52:00.811 --> 52:01.932
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they're just friends.

52:02.672 --> 52:06.615
[SPEAKER_01]: And he just watches the kid and stuff like that because I know people that are like that.

52:06.735 --> 52:07.035
[SPEAKER_01]: So.

52:07.055 --> 52:08.396
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, totally.

52:08.476 --> 52:10.097
[SPEAKER_05]: No, I'm not saying that they're together.

52:10.117 --> 52:18.262
[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just saying, okay, I got a little bit of chemistry and even Harrison mistook some of her vibes for being interested.

52:18.302 --> 52:19.562
[SPEAKER_05]: And he tried to kiss her, right?

52:19.682 --> 52:19.722
[SPEAKER_05]: Or.

52:20.763 --> 52:21.724
[SPEAKER_05]: Right, we saw that.

52:22.324 --> 52:24.405
[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm not saying that they're together at all.

52:24.505 --> 52:31.249
[SPEAKER_05]: I think they're just friends, but also it's like, if you have a crush on somebody secretly, and you don't even realize it until there was somebody else.

52:32.069 --> 52:42.495
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so maybe seeing him with another girl who's all over him or something, I just thought that there might be a moment, but I'm so glad there wasn't because I was like, damn it.

52:46.564 --> 52:47.485
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm glad it wasn't like that.

52:47.546 --> 52:49.888
[SPEAKER_01]: I like the joke in between GG and Hendo too.

52:49.948 --> 52:53.933
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, ah, I always thought my first time would be in a fancy hotel.

52:54.294 --> 52:54.614
[SPEAKER_01]: It's what?

52:54.634 --> 52:55.796
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm just fucking with you.

52:55.816 --> 52:58.399
[SPEAKER_01]: I definitely like those little joking moments.

53:03.310 --> 53:05.591
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I think it's a brass character, right?

53:06.192 --> 53:06.472
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

53:06.792 --> 53:11.194
[SPEAKER_01]: But that's a speculation as to who I think it might be, but I still don't know who it is.

53:11.214 --> 53:17.577
[SPEAKER_01]: It might even be the detective, uh, partner, like mentioned the end of the stage of the last, uh, last of this.

53:17.637 --> 53:20.219
[SPEAKER_00]: He's still a very high suspect on my list.

53:20.839 --> 53:26.862
[SPEAKER_00]: But I, I mean, I think I think it'd be a hell of a twist to have it be the, um, uh, the female detective.

53:27.662 --> 53:28.543
[SPEAKER_00]: Stay alive detective.

53:29.243 --> 53:30.144
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I thought it was great.

53:30.184 --> 53:37.872
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it's funny because it feels like the male voice that we hear during her lecture, he seems kind of familiar.

53:37.892 --> 53:39.293
[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't know why.

53:39.353 --> 53:45.740
[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe that's just like a big grasp, but it kind of, it just like the voice kind of feels familiar.

53:45.760 --> 53:50.365
[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm not saying it's like Dean's legit or anything, but it kind of vibes a little bit.

53:50.988 --> 53:51.349
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

53:51.730 --> 53:53.193
[SPEAKER_01]: There is a dairy going around.

53:53.754 --> 54:00.267
[SPEAKER_01]: And right now in the Dexter group that I'm in where people are saying is the Trinity killer son.

54:01.243 --> 54:03.385
[SPEAKER_05]: I've, like, I've thought of that too.

54:04.426 --> 54:06.067
[SPEAKER_01]: So that could be it, though, too.

54:06.087 --> 54:09.570
[SPEAKER_05]: But I feel like the timeline is a little off, right?

54:09.750 --> 54:14.814
[SPEAKER_05]: Because like, how long has the New York Ripper been killing to have like, X amount of time off?

54:15.054 --> 54:17.756
[SPEAKER_05]: And it's like, has he been telling since he was a toddler?

54:17.856 --> 54:22.119
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, I don't like the New York Ripper is has been coming for a while.

54:23.080 --> 54:23.500
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

54:23.520 --> 54:29.285
[SPEAKER_05]: So that's where I thought that maybe it was going to be Leon's first, like, the killer that he visit.

54:30.152 --> 54:32.874
[SPEAKER_05]: like his first kind of like a cereal catalog.

54:32.894 --> 54:38.939
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, if it's like he opened up saying, like, those isn't the first time I've killed, you know.

54:39.379 --> 54:40.520
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's a question.

54:41.060 --> 54:44.002
[SPEAKER_00]: Where did Leon get the Rippers weapon?

54:44.523 --> 54:45.824
[SPEAKER_00]: Is the Rippers never been caught?

54:46.144 --> 54:48.446
[SPEAKER_00]: And even the police don't know what the weapon is.

54:48.906 --> 54:52.669
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's gotta be, there has to be a link between Leon and the Ripper.

54:52.929 --> 54:54.630
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the Rippers, like he has been hiding.

54:55.131 --> 54:55.731
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's my weapon.

54:57.192 --> 55:12.947
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, no, that's like a price possession and also I feel like because it's so active in that universe right now It would be on all the news channels and everything and it's like I feel like widened Dexter asked

55:13.447 --> 55:24.652
[SPEAKER_05]: Who the Ripper is like because he has everything and obviously Dinklage's character, he likes a chat about his, you know, prize possessions is trophies.

55:24.732 --> 55:26.713
[SPEAKER_00]: Leon has to know who it is.

55:26.733 --> 55:30.255
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so I kind of so think he's in quotes with somebody.

55:30.735 --> 55:31.375
[SPEAKER_01]: I think so too.

55:31.455 --> 55:34.457
[SPEAKER_01]: I think he has the Ripper probably in hiding as well.

55:35.087 --> 55:49.510
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah, I mean, there's so many versions of this that all kind of makes sense, but I'm also wondering when the woman detective when she calls my amy and talks to gosh, what does him claim?

55:50.491 --> 55:56.553
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, when he talks to him, like, does he know that extra is so a lie or does he not know?

55:56.573 --> 55:59.274
[SPEAKER_05]: Because he doesn't ask him anything about Dexter.

55:59.294 --> 56:02.195
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, no, no, because this is what happens, okay?

56:02.235 --> 56:09.198
[SPEAKER_01]: So, but he said, uh, this is extra, I hate that he still winds up calling or he goes, look, I got a body here.

56:09.578 --> 56:12.379
[SPEAKER_01]: I've got proof that the Bay Harbor butchers is here.

56:12.879 --> 56:13.679
[SPEAKER_01]: You need to come down here.

56:13.819 --> 56:17.060
[SPEAKER_01]: You got, and then she comes down there and from so does her partner just wait.

56:17.520 --> 56:18.381
[SPEAKER_01]: You don't have a body.

56:19.307 --> 56:21.088
[SPEAKER_01]: you don't have anything.

56:21.908 --> 56:24.990
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I ended up stopping him before he could do anything.

56:25.470 --> 56:39.077
[SPEAKER_01]: There was a guy that ran out of the workshop and whether he looked like, well, he's big, got black here, looks Italian, because well, pretty much half the people in the city and also in the police force.

56:39.417 --> 56:41.138
[SPEAKER_01]: So you don't have a case at all.

56:41.658 --> 56:43.539
[SPEAKER_01]: It makes him look like he's a crazy stalker.

56:44.119 --> 56:48.462
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's also saying this, do act like that you guys, that I am putting all this up myself.

56:48.863 --> 56:53.066
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm the one who's just, well, it's funny that you would actually say that.

56:53.306 --> 56:54.467
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what Wallace says to him.

56:55.027 --> 56:58.450
[SPEAKER_01]: But then after that, she's looking through the Bay Harbor butcher stuff.

56:58.850 --> 57:01.592
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he calls Joseph Quinn up.

57:01.992 --> 57:09.278
[SPEAKER_01]: Because yeah, I'm just talking about this case that we're working on the Bay Harbor butcher case.

57:09.558 --> 57:11.580
[SPEAKER_01]: Because that case has been closed for years.

57:12.260 --> 57:21.589
[SPEAKER_01]: Because you know, so as Batista, as we, I mean, fact your captain is here, Batista, because Batista, he's, he's retired.

57:22.449 --> 57:29.456
[SPEAKER_01]: So that's when around thinking that she's going to go ahead and get him out of New York at this point, but he's not going to leave.

57:29.836 --> 57:30.477
[SPEAKER_01]: I know he's not.

57:31.501 --> 57:46.726
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I mean, so much in those moments, it's like, what fate for Dexter that he didn't get caught and then also is like kind of making it looks like angels the Be Harbor butcher, which is

57:47.266 --> 58:07.163
[SPEAKER_05]: So brilliant and you know just by fate like it wasn't planned He just walked into that scenario But also I thought it was weird of the the New York detectives to just be so cautious and weary of Angel because they were totally supportive of him You know what I mean and like think that that's

58:07.695 --> 58:09.817
[SPEAKER_05]: him and not to believe things.

58:11.819 --> 58:14.422
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think anybody in Miami knows that there's a lot.

58:14.442 --> 58:16.745
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that you just told anybody down there.

58:17.866 --> 58:20.188
[SPEAKER_05]: Well, yeah, because I would write him out, right?

58:20.268 --> 58:21.970
[SPEAKER_05]: Because he's not supposed to be there.

58:22.030 --> 58:24.533
[SPEAKER_05]: He's like in person what you guys were saying.

58:24.573 --> 58:26.375
[SPEAKER_05]: He's impersonating a detective.

58:28.623 --> 58:29.544
[SPEAKER_05]: which is crazy.

58:30.424 --> 58:41.593
[SPEAKER_05]: But yeah, so just having the whole kill room and then him just looking like he's psychotic because, yeah, the victim just vanished.

58:42.153 --> 58:43.294
[SPEAKER_05]: He doesn't have a name.

58:43.434 --> 58:45.536
[SPEAKER_05]: He barely has a description.

58:45.556 --> 58:52.682
[SPEAKER_05]: And then when he shows them, like, oh, look, this is where Dexter is and then

58:53.573 --> 58:55.874
[SPEAKER_01]: You know that because at that point in times the AirPods.

58:56.434 --> 58:58.114
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, I had a tracking device.

58:58.755 --> 58:59.035
[SPEAKER_01]: Really?

58:59.055 --> 58:59.695
[SPEAKER_01]: So you got to warn?

58:59.935 --> 59:00.115
[SPEAKER_01]: No.

59:00.735 --> 59:03.336
[SPEAKER_01]: This makes them not want to trust them though.

59:03.916 --> 59:09.998
[SPEAKER_01]: It makes them look crazy because of the fact that he has AirPods tracking a suspect and not a bug.

59:10.378 --> 59:13.439
[SPEAKER_01]: And that that's also making him look suspect as well.

59:13.519 --> 59:18.881
[SPEAKER_01]: And then next, there's also a pissed off epitice that for putting this in his car, because I got to do something with Baptista.

59:18.921 --> 59:21.542
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, technically, you don't have to do anything with Baptista.

59:21.902 --> 59:23.104
[SPEAKER_05]: He's doing it from South.

59:23.464 --> 59:23.704
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.

59:24.405 --> 59:24.785
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

59:24.825 --> 59:26.928
[SPEAKER_05]: He's doing it from South with everything.

59:26.948 --> 59:27.028
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

59:28.790 --> 59:33.235
[SPEAKER_05]: And so he's going to be like, just raving a lunatic at the end of this like season.

59:33.395 --> 59:36.278
[SPEAKER_05]: You know, like, Texer, it's him.

59:36.358 --> 59:37.459
[SPEAKER_05]: And then you're like, in jail.

59:39.795 --> 59:41.336
[SPEAKER_01]: I can see them with this conspiracy there.

59:41.376 --> 59:48.242
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you know, in Gotham and Arkham, Silent, where you have like different killers, something that they all have their own themes inside their deal.

59:48.262 --> 59:52.906
[SPEAKER_01]: So here's pretty stuff with the conspiracy, there's wall of the Bay Harbor butcher.

59:53.567 --> 01:00:02.735
[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be like a big, a huge photo of like Dexter Morgan's face and then like all of the like Bay Harbor butcher, like supper

01:00:03.275 --> 01:00:05.095
[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like dogs are going to be next to him.

01:00:05.296 --> 01:00:05.536
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

01:00:05.916 --> 01:00:06.056
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

01:00:06.076 --> 01:00:07.756
[SPEAKER_05]: There's going to be like a little candles.

01:00:07.876 --> 01:00:09.997
[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be great.

01:00:10.697 --> 01:00:12.397
[SPEAKER_05]: All the fans are going to be tuning.

01:00:13.257 --> 01:00:20.459
[SPEAKER_01]: But another thing though, too, I laughed at is like when Dexter has the stocking on his face and then he's like being talking to Steve Shrepa.

01:00:20.599 --> 01:00:22.379
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, so do you think you can change?

01:00:26.891 --> 01:00:30.753
[SPEAKER_01]: And then when Harrison also tells himself, but how did it go with the landlord?

01:00:31.634 --> 01:00:33.035
[SPEAKER_01]: We had a hard-to-hard conversation.

01:00:33.775 --> 01:00:34.596
[SPEAKER_01]: Is there anything?

01:00:35.036 --> 01:00:35.216
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

01:00:37.598 --> 01:00:39.478
[SPEAKER_01]: And then this is the last part of it.

01:00:39.638 --> 01:00:42.939
[SPEAKER_01]: So Leon at the end finding out that Dexter has a son.

01:00:43.339 --> 01:00:46.140
[SPEAKER_01]: It explains the question is, can Leon still trust him?

01:00:46.660 --> 01:00:50.020
[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if Leon will geek out because Dexter is the big hopper butcher.

01:00:51.000 --> 01:00:53.341
[SPEAKER_01]: And this also leads into my whole entire thing.

01:00:53.361 --> 01:00:56.601
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking he's going to feel like he betrayed Dexter betrayed his trust.

01:00:57.041 --> 01:01:00.542
[SPEAKER_01]: I think after a while, he's going to warm up to Dexter again.

01:01:00.562 --> 01:01:01.902
[SPEAKER_01]: And this is great.

01:01:02.042 --> 01:01:05.923
[SPEAKER_01]: We're a white shark that he's been for a wheel that he's been wanting to have.

01:01:06.223 --> 01:01:08.785
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, wasn't that crazy ending?

01:01:08.945 --> 01:01:12.267
[SPEAKER_05]: I did not, like, I wasn't expecting to see that.

01:01:12.347 --> 01:01:14.709
[SPEAKER_05]: And at first, I thought he was going to mention the stakes.

01:01:14.809 --> 01:01:18.872
[SPEAKER_05]: Like, oh, man, he really, you know, gone off the deep end.

01:01:19.232 --> 01:01:21.614
[SPEAKER_00]: When when next year looked up, this face changed.

01:01:22.134 --> 01:01:24.075
[SPEAKER_00]: And like, you didn't know who it was yet.

01:01:24.176 --> 01:01:25.597
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was going to be a Tista.

01:01:25.617 --> 01:01:28.098
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was not expecting Leon.

01:01:29.695 --> 01:01:31.696
[SPEAKER_00]: It could go a lot of different ways, man, honestly.

01:01:32.637 --> 01:01:34.317
[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting to see which way they choose.

01:01:35.038 --> 01:01:37.579
[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, Charlie, like, have really happy outside.

01:01:37.839 --> 01:01:39.700
[SPEAKER_05]: He's like, yeah, I've got him.

01:01:39.720 --> 01:01:40.961
[SPEAKER_01]: I told you.

01:01:41.141 --> 01:01:41.621
[SPEAKER_01]: I told you.

01:01:41.741 --> 01:01:43.722
[SPEAKER_01]: I could just say.

01:01:43.742 --> 01:01:44.723
[SPEAKER_05]: Hold the fire.

01:01:46.263 --> 01:01:49.045
[SPEAKER_01]: But I like how we all walks in there, I guess.

01:01:50.101 --> 01:01:51.603
[SPEAKER_01]: You didn't tell me you had a son.

01:01:52.604 --> 01:01:57.791
[SPEAKER_01]: And the look on Dexter's face, though, is the same reaction that he had when Trinity caught him in the police station.

01:01:58.331 --> 01:01:58.732
[SPEAKER_01]: And stuff.

01:01:58.752 --> 01:02:01.375
[SPEAKER_01]: So it was that same shocked face that we seen back then.

01:02:01.616 --> 01:02:02.717
[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought it was pretty cool.

01:02:03.178 --> 01:02:08.584
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I thought to myself, please, Harrison, don't ask him why he's calling him red, please.

01:02:09.640 --> 01:02:25.963
[SPEAKER_05]: I know I was like he's gonna know by now to just shut up like you know like your dad has like a whole different life I mean he doesn't Harrison doesn't know about the serial killer No, right and you would know that this point like with Dexter trying to be more on his own

01:02:26.283 --> 01:02:31.847
[SPEAKER_05]: is life that you would just say like, hey, I fell into this thing on accident.

01:02:32.027 --> 01:02:44.835
[SPEAKER_05]: Now I'm, you know, taking care of them or whatever, but like be cautious because people are watching, you know, like I would think that you would debrief him a little bit like that.

01:02:45.035 --> 01:02:45.535
[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

01:02:45.595 --> 01:02:50.978
[SPEAKER_05]: That was so like my heart sank just like looking, but what a fantastic actor.

01:02:50.998 --> 01:02:52.819
[SPEAKER_05]: My honestly haul is just all in that.

01:02:52.859 --> 01:02:53.260
[SPEAKER_03]: It's great.

01:02:54.901 --> 01:03:03.745
[SPEAKER_05]: That was like, there was like a two seconds worth of acting and how just, oh my god, he's so talented.

01:03:04.365 --> 01:03:05.105
[SPEAKER_01]: He really is.

01:03:05.225 --> 01:03:10.868
[SPEAKER_00]: That was actually a little bit earlier when we were talking about when him and Batista were in the car and he threatens him.

01:03:11.328 --> 01:03:21.913
[SPEAKER_00]: Just how dark he's able to look and it's so crazy that he's able to go from like, do do that with, you know, super talented dude.

01:03:22.535 --> 01:03:24.976
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so much range, she's so talented.

01:03:25.516 --> 01:03:42.042
[SPEAKER_05]: But also real quick, I think when the woman detective when she was doing research, like on the Bay Harbor butcher, didn't we get an article that kind of connected the original sin, like with Captain Spencer?

01:03:42.582 --> 01:03:43.722
[SPEAKER_05]: And wasn't that sad?

01:03:43.842 --> 01:03:50.805
[SPEAKER_05]: Like we're doing a tie-in with that, but then that showed just, it got renewed and then canceled in the same week.

01:03:51.285 --> 01:03:52.146
[SPEAKER_05]: It's so great.

01:03:52.747 --> 01:03:52.967
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

01:03:53.387 --> 01:03:55.089
[SPEAKER_05]: But now it's not like this.

01:03:55.109 --> 01:04:03.517
[SPEAKER_05]: It's weird side thing that you know what I mean because they're building that world which I love when you know you can do that.

01:04:03.537 --> 01:04:05.278
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was a big show.

01:04:05.298 --> 01:04:05.999
[SPEAKER_00]: I really liked it.

01:04:06.019 --> 01:04:08.802
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought the casting was amazing on it.

01:04:09.548 --> 01:04:10.229
[SPEAKER_01]: I really liked it.

01:04:10.369 --> 01:04:12.150
[SPEAKER_01]: I enjoyed Dexter original sin.

01:04:12.190 --> 01:04:14.032
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought the casting of it was really good.

01:04:14.052 --> 01:04:17.195
[SPEAKER_01]: The actor that plays Michael C. Hall's character is knocked it out of the park.

01:04:17.695 --> 01:04:19.457
[SPEAKER_01]: The guy who plays Masuka knocked it out.

01:04:19.577 --> 01:04:21.119
[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody was on their A game on this.

01:04:21.179 --> 01:04:22.099
[SPEAKER_01]: It was perfect casting.

01:04:22.140 --> 01:04:24.442
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll write on through the storytelling was really good.

01:04:24.822 --> 01:04:32.989
[SPEAKER_01]: They kept up with the original lore of Dexter, even though we knew parts of it, but they also expanded it, which is a hard thing to do after so many years of us.

01:04:33.790 --> 01:04:35.851
[SPEAKER_01]: with a character so I really enjoyed it.

01:04:35.871 --> 01:04:49.478
[SPEAKER_01]: I do remember whenever they renewed it and then all of a sudden Paramount now is going into a new regime of new studio heads and now they're focusing on other things aside from Dexter original sin.

01:04:49.538 --> 01:04:59.963
[SPEAKER_01]: But what I heard is just a rumor right now that I've heard that they're still going to continue with Dexter Resurrection and they're still going to use the actor that plays Dexter.

01:05:01.073 --> 01:05:04.396
[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, the young Dexter in flashbacks flashbacks.

01:05:05.036 --> 01:05:05.697
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, interesting.

01:05:05.737 --> 01:05:05.977
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

01:05:06.037 --> 01:05:13.383
[SPEAKER_05]: No, I think they're like, isn't that official that they got that they're getting a second season with resurrection or is that?

01:05:14.444 --> 01:05:16.766
[SPEAKER_01]: Right now I'm putting it as a rumor right now.

01:05:16.806 --> 01:05:18.427
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm putting it as a rumor right now.

01:05:18.507 --> 01:05:22.791
[SPEAKER_01]: I got a screen rant posted it, but I'm waiting for other confirmations to come through.

01:05:22.811 --> 01:05:30.397
[SPEAKER_01]: So once I find that out, then I'll put it as fact, but right now that's the only source I have to go on.

01:05:31.196 --> 01:05:37.338
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, well, I love, I mean, I love original, like, the old school original dexter.

01:05:37.378 --> 01:05:38.559
[SPEAKER_05]: That's my favorite.

01:05:38.679 --> 01:05:49.362
[SPEAKER_05]: And then I would say Rose direction, because it's like, we get dexter back, you know, kind of in his like old, old, old, old, old days, you know, I didn't really have an attachment.

01:05:49.483 --> 01:05:53.164
[SPEAKER_05]: I thought that it's hard because Michael C. Hall is such

01:05:53.764 --> 01:05:55.984
[SPEAKER_05]: and nuanced and amazing actor.

01:05:56.585 --> 01:06:04.686
[SPEAKER_05]: For me personally, I think the actor who was trying to play a younger version of him was good, but he did not have the charisma.

01:06:05.046 --> 01:06:09.347
[SPEAKER_05]: For me, like he didn't have the same vibe as Dexter Morgan.

01:06:10.648 --> 01:06:22.010
[SPEAKER_05]: But I did like the Mazuka, I like some of the other characters and stuff, but I'm sad because I feel like it's great to keep on expanding that universe.

01:06:22.410 --> 01:06:33.460
[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm sad for them, but it would be really cool if they kind of did little flashbacks, but also I like them when they do flashbacks with Michael C. Call me, just put like a wig on them.

01:06:33.480 --> 01:06:34.901
[SPEAKER_05]: Done with my favorite.

01:06:36.938 --> 01:07:01.512
[SPEAKER_05]: are like on saw when the like if you have a character and then you put like a backwards baseball hat on a matter like flashback they're like twenty years younger like you put a cap on you look great you we didn't have to do any de-aging or anything like that that's it yeah no that that's that was perfect for me when they did the like flashbacks with Michael see all I know I love that

01:07:02.853 --> 01:07:04.818
[SPEAKER_05]: So I do that again instead actually.

01:07:04.838 --> 01:07:11.735
[SPEAKER_01]: I hope they do a little bit of something from the original stuff for like flashbacks and things like that.

01:07:12.616 --> 01:07:14.837
[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I thought this episode was really good.

01:07:14.897 --> 01:07:16.177
[SPEAKER_01]: I enjoyed it.

01:07:17.058 --> 01:07:19.319
[SPEAKER_01]: I really liked the tie-in with episode seven and eight.

01:07:19.819 --> 01:07:30.103
[SPEAKER_01]: The thing with blessing in the daughter and stuff like that, I really feel bad that Dexter accidentally pulled her about his about blessings life.

01:07:30.203 --> 01:07:35.605
[SPEAKER_01]: But of course, I would actually think that blessing would have actually talked to her because daughter about that and I keep it as secret.

01:07:36.326 --> 01:07:38.186
[SPEAKER_01]: But still, I don't see that.

01:07:38.206 --> 01:07:41.228
[SPEAKER_00]: That's in so did she.

01:07:41.768 --> 01:07:41.988
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.

01:07:43.841 --> 01:07:52.611
[SPEAKER_05]: I know she was saying exactly what we've been saying that you know it's like why would you open up to a total stranger after only knowing them for two weeks.

01:07:53.507 --> 01:08:02.450
[SPEAKER_05]: But I guess there's like some kind of like safety in that because they don't have all of that baggage and you know, because there's no one else that they can tell because they don't know any.

01:08:02.470 --> 01:08:17.275
[SPEAKER_05]: At that point, you've led like even though it was a safety lie just because you didn't want to be perceived as that person, you know, because that's not his life and that's not what he wanted to be anyways who is forced.

01:08:18.336 --> 01:08:28.204
[SPEAKER_05]: So like it's probably hard because it's like he doesn't want to lose his family over like that lie that was done to protect them, you know.

01:08:30.226 --> 01:08:34.129
[SPEAKER_01]: So in a stage I know that you have a little bit of announcement that you want to make.

01:08:34.409 --> 01:08:38.673
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'll let you have the ground floor then I'll pass it over to Jason and then over to me.

01:08:39.430 --> 01:08:40.512
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, totally, thank you.

01:08:40.612 --> 01:08:52.912
[SPEAKER_05]: So it was just announced that Ricky and I were going to be doing screening events at happy, free film festival in FOMAR.

01:08:54.052 --> 01:08:57.455
[SPEAKER_05]: And that's October, seventeenth, fifth and nineteenth.

01:08:57.555 --> 01:09:02.259
[SPEAKER_05]: And so we're going to have screening event Saturday, October, eighteenth.

01:09:02.359 --> 01:09:08.044
[SPEAKER_05]: So we're going to show Bloody Bridgette during the film festival and forbidden zone.

01:09:08.104 --> 01:09:13.788
[SPEAKER_05]: And then we're going to, I'm going to do like my Bloody Burlast intro to Bloody Bridgette.

01:09:13.929 --> 01:09:17.692
[SPEAKER_05]: And then there's going to be a fun, like, little pre-show performance.

01:09:19.513 --> 01:09:22.555
[SPEAKER_05]: to start off the forbidden zone screening.

01:09:22.815 --> 01:09:26.038
[SPEAKER_05]: And I think there's going to be like a little band.

01:09:26.058 --> 01:09:29.060
[SPEAKER_05]: We're going to do like Q&A's and meet and greet and stuff.

01:09:29.140 --> 01:09:31.341
[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm excited to announce that.

01:09:32.182 --> 01:09:35.824
[SPEAKER_05]: And I hope everybody in the kind of LA area joins.

01:09:35.844 --> 01:09:37.786
[SPEAKER_05]: It's going to be a really fun time.

01:09:37.806 --> 01:09:42.369
[SPEAKER_05]: I love the festival people there, Sean.

01:09:42.469 --> 01:09:44.050
[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm like, Paul and everything.

01:09:44.090 --> 01:09:45.611
[SPEAKER_05]: And so we're gearing up for that.

01:09:45.711 --> 01:09:46.592
[SPEAKER_05]: So that's really exciting.

01:09:47.228 --> 01:09:48.469
[SPEAKER_01]: That's awesome.

01:09:48.729 --> 01:09:49.889
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really happy for you guys.

01:09:50.249 --> 01:09:51.210
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, thank you.

01:09:51.790 --> 01:09:55.771
[SPEAKER_00]: I got a straight, your, your, your cosplay that I saw the return of living dead three girl.

01:09:55.791 --> 01:09:58.312
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah.

01:09:58.613 --> 01:09:59.573
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, thank you.

01:09:59.613 --> 01:09:59.953
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

01:10:00.353 --> 01:10:00.633
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

01:10:00.773 --> 01:10:01.294
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

01:10:01.374 --> 01:10:01.554
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

01:10:01.574 --> 01:10:09.417
[SPEAKER_05]: I love, I love doing, um, I love creating these wild, uh, bloody, for less crease show performances.

01:10:09.517 --> 01:10:12.018
[SPEAKER_05]: And yeah, that was such a fun character, Julie.

01:10:12.540 --> 01:10:15.541
[SPEAKER_05]: to do for return of the living dead three.

01:10:15.801 --> 01:10:19.982
[SPEAKER_05]: And our friend Brian Yusena directed that.

01:10:20.062 --> 01:10:24.784
[SPEAKER_05]: And so I got to kill him and rip out his guts in front of everybody.

01:10:25.464 --> 01:10:28.805
[SPEAKER_05]: And then eat his brain and then the film started.

01:10:28.845 --> 01:10:30.126
[SPEAKER_05]: So it's really fun.

01:10:30.426 --> 01:10:34.147
[SPEAKER_05]: Really special for fans because like that doesn't play that often.

01:10:35.177 --> 01:10:37.199
[SPEAKER_05]: Um, so yeah.

01:10:37.259 --> 01:10:38.860
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm moving these low key really good.

01:10:39.341 --> 01:10:42.023
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, a lot better than two lows.

01:10:42.043 --> 01:10:48.789
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah, I mean, I like them all and I mean, they're all like kind of special in their own way.

01:10:49.750 --> 01:10:50.010
[SPEAKER_05]: Why?

01:10:50.491 --> 01:10:51.632
[SPEAKER_00]: I said even four and five.

01:10:51.652 --> 01:10:54.994
[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, you know, just on what day it is.

01:10:55.335 --> 01:10:58.417
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, thanks.

01:10:58.457 --> 01:10:59.859
[SPEAKER_05]: Thanks for saying that.

01:10:59.879 --> 01:11:00.579
[SPEAKER_05]: That was so nice.

01:11:00.880 --> 01:11:01.280
[SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.

01:11:02.018 --> 01:11:05.782
[SPEAKER_01]: But Jason, you got something else that you want to announce as far as your phone.

01:11:06.483 --> 01:11:06.643
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

01:11:06.703 --> 01:11:10.407
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think this is maybe Monday or Tuesday.

01:11:10.427 --> 01:11:11.849
[SPEAKER_00]: It will be.

01:11:12.270 --> 01:11:16.654
[SPEAKER_00]: So the force to the trees, my film is now on to be.

01:11:17.395 --> 01:11:20.018
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can watch it for free on to be and also the Roku channel.

01:11:20.178 --> 01:11:21.800
[SPEAKER_00]: So just check it out.

01:11:22.201 --> 01:11:23.122
[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah.

01:11:24.290 --> 01:11:27.114
[SPEAKER_01]: Congratulations to you on your film and I'm proud of you on that.

01:11:27.314 --> 01:11:28.756
[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate it.

01:11:29.396 --> 01:11:31.799
[SPEAKER_01]: So okay, so I have a couple announcements here.

01:11:31.899 --> 01:11:39.629
[SPEAKER_01]: So I have Beth coming on for the May for TV movie podcast on Tuesday and we're going to be talking about summer school.

01:11:39.769 --> 01:11:42.572
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to be reviewing the nineteen eighty seven movies summer school.

01:11:43.233 --> 01:11:56.126
[SPEAKER_01]: where I have Josh Frey coming back on on September tenth at eight o'clock since the time we're going to be talking about who asked for this, which is sequels reboot the stuff like that for films that people wonder why the hell didn't even happen.

01:11:56.146 --> 01:11:57.747
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to be talking about that.

01:11:58.588 --> 01:12:05.859
[SPEAKER_01]: And then I have Doom generation podcast for going to be doing Airborne August, twenty eight at eight o'clock sometime not like Eastern time.

01:12:06.500 --> 01:12:09.645
[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll be coming back on September second to do a rookie at the year review.

01:12:09.745 --> 01:12:11.228
[SPEAKER_01]: I know I'm a little behind on some of this.

01:12:11.248 --> 01:12:12.810
[SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, I ran to some car trouble.

01:12:12.850 --> 01:12:13.531
[SPEAKER_01]: I apologize.

01:12:14.252 --> 01:12:18.233
[SPEAKER_01]: for missing out on our Dexter reviews and stuff like that to you guys.

01:12:18.273 --> 01:12:19.173
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so sorry for that.

01:12:19.293 --> 01:12:21.874
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry for having to reschedule stuff.

01:12:21.934 --> 01:12:23.134
[SPEAKER_01]: But hey, I'm here now.

01:12:23.154 --> 01:12:25.895

01:12:50.410 --> 01:12:51.452

01:12:51.492 --> 01:12:52.033
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you Jason.

01:12:52.174 --> 01:12:52.554
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.

01:12:52.594 --> 01:12:52.855
[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
