Chief Marketing Officer

Ryan George is the Chief Marketing Officer at Docupace, a software provider focused on digitizing and automating operations in the financial advice and investment industry. He serves as the company’s “chief diplomat” evangelizing the company’s people, solutions and brand across the financial services/wealth management industry. As a member of the senior executive committee, Ryan collaborates with key stakeholders across Docupace to support the company’s growth, retention, and profitability objectives.

Ryan has spent all of his two-decade career within the financial advice and investment space, previously serving many as Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications at 1st Global, where he was responsible for executing growth, sales, and marketing strategies and leading his team in promoting the 1st Global brand. He has also held marketing leadership positions at specialized asset managers – GuideStone Capital Management, based in Dallas, and U.S. Global Investors in San Antonio.

George actively engages in leadership roles in both the financial services and marketing communications communities, and his leadership earned him the ThinkAdvisor Luminaries Chief Marketing Officer of the Year Award in 2025. George and his team also won PR/Marketing Team of the Year Honors from ThinkAdvisor Luminaries in 2024 and US Fintech Awards in 2024. He has been named a Finalist for Chief Marketing Officer of the Year Award by WealthManagement.com three times in the past five years. In 2023, Wealth Solutions Report named George to the "CMO 10" — honoring the top CMOs in wealth management.

George currently sits on the Advisory Board for the Haven Tower Group, a financial-services focused PR and marketing agency. He’s previously served as chair of the Financial Services Institute’s Marketing, Growth, and Development Council, comprised of high-level sales, marketing, and business development executives from across the industry. George is also a member of the Forbes Communications Council, an invitation-only, fee-based organization of senior-level communications and public relations executives, the CMO Council and the CMO Club.

Ryan, a graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, is passionate about the power of sound financial planning and the pursuit of a purpose-driven career. He enjoys connecting the work others do with how it serves to meet the needs of others daily.
