The Worse Thing That Ever Happened (According to My Daughter)

My daughter is convinced she found the worst thing that ever happened to her. It was so bad, in her mind, she spent weeks trying to get out of it. She even asked me to write her a note excusing her from this activity. (I think we might be in trouble.) But once it happened, even though it still scares her, she decided it was the best thing she's ever done. I am proud of her resilience. We all need to learn to find pure joy in things that scare us.
