Often hilarious, always engaging.

I have been a fan of Mike since his first stories on “This American Life,” and I’ve been able to see his last three one-man shows live, so I’m coming in a bit pro-biased. Mike is a great interviewer, eliciting deeply personal and articulate responses from his guests, often resulting in me seeking out their work or looking for books they discuss in the episode. A couple of my favorites include his episodes with Gary Gullman and recent interview with Neil Brennan. It is a great show for creative and artistic people as well because the discussion of process is laid plane and even as a musician I often find myself relating to their challenges and successes in a personal way. Highly recommend!
