Hi. there! If you found this blog, you're probably considering weight loss surgery and you may or may not be over 50 years old.
My name is Dana. I'm 56 years old, a widow and I live outside of Houston, Texas. Nice to meet you! I'm 5'6" and my highest weight was 223, with a BMI of 35. I am scheduled to have a gastric bypass, also known as Roux En Y on April 18, 2023.
I'm going to go over the whole process from the beginning. I'm going to be very real about how it's been and how it's going along the way, so that you can either find information that helps you make the decision to (or not to) have weight loss surgery OR you can find support in what you are going through, if you have the surgery.
