So how did I get into music?

Well, I was more, I was raised in the church.

My grandmama she was a preacher and her son took the mantle, and my uncle, and so I've been in, you know, church and so forth all my life growing up, and pretty much my mom she was in that lifestyle too as well, that being her mom and she basically, you know, used to go around singing door to door to people and stuff like that, singing in the choir and all that, so going with her all the time singing in the choir.

My cousins, you know, they all know how to play instruments from just listening.

They didn't really know how to read notes and so forth.

But it didn't really like actually become a dream of mine until, like hip hop, which is my first introduction to actually, you know, hearing that and wanting to make music and so forth um, I would say a little bit about where I started.

When I was in um elementary school, um, I used to write these literary works or whatever for um, for school, and they would tell us what to write at the time time my grandma had passed and I was six years.

You know, like maybe three years ago, three years passed after she passed, but during that time it was like I was missing her and most of my stuff was about her.

And the teacher was like I was writing poems, I was writing, you know, a paragraph or essay in the essay type format and everything about her or to her.

And the teacher was like, well, you know, you, you writing so much about your grandma man, like that's where she was.

Like you know, I bust out the crying and say like you don't tell me what I'm, you know what I'm supposed to be doing, and so forth.

And I think that was the start of my writing and the teacher she kind of, you know she backed off, but she did let my mom know about that.

She did let her know that, like he has a talent, so she noticed how I was writing poems and how I was putting feeling in everything.

So that's kind of like the spark right there.

But growing up in church I didn't really hear a lot of hip hop growing up.

So when I got a little older, maybe like 14, 15 years old, when I started hearing hip hop, that's when I like, okay, these poems I'm writing, I definitely can write that to music and so forth, cause that's really what it is Poetry, and and and and emotional poetry and with, with, uh, with music tied to it.

So that's when it kind of kicked off there and I always kind of wanted to do it.

But like growing up, how it is, you know, in that religious background, I didn't really think.

But and then later on, coming into now, I would say I would say up to until 2019, when COVID happened, I just started, man, look, where I had a whole lot of time on my hand, I said, look, I always wanted to write, I mean make music and so forth.

So I'm just going to go in and start writing and that's when it kind of like started right there, from there to actually getting into the full, actually wanting to do this and pursuing this in a broad way.

Well, I would start with how I got into personal training.

So I didn't always start out as an online fitness coach and trainer.

I was more so in person, where I started at the y mca a little bit before that, um it was.

I was always a pretty much an avid, avid gym goer, going, going all the way back with my dad he was pretty much with a big uh bodybuilder back then and so forth.

So going with him he taught me a lot and like got my first weight set when I was 15 and, um, you know, a little bit after that, like he was uh, he was uh, all right, so he was uh, uh, he.

He was basically like diagnosed with cancer, uh, on my 19th birthday and later on, after, after that, he kind of, you know, kind of even got more on a health tip and so forth and he got the whole family into a gym membership.

So that was my first gym membership at that time and you can just say the rest is history.

You know he told me what to do and so forth and I was kind of going by myself.

But the rest of history from there I I started, uh, you know, working out kind of like what most people were doing you know, go in two weeks and then next two or three weeks you don't see me in there.

You know it started off slow but when I got got into it more, I started seeing you know results and people started flocking to me asking me questions, wanting to work out with me and give me compliments and stuff like that.

And it wasn't like later on until the woman I was at work working at levi's and she was like man, you're doing all this working out.

Man, you know you should, as soon as this become a uh, you ever thought about person training?

At that time I didn't looked it up, research to see if it sounded like something like I can do.

And then that's when it started from there and my first, let's say, start towards it.

I wanted to kind of get my feet wet where I would go into like work at a gym first and start as a trainer there working on a gym as an employee.

But at the time in Mississippi we wanted really a lot of gyms going around and then wanting a lot of folks hiring.

So I was kind of forced into starting on my own, which I wanted to do anyway, but it was just at a point where I just wanted to get my name out there, get some exposure and experience and then branch out.

But it didn't happen that way, so I had to start on my own and then from there we went into.

I got a deal like independent contract deal with a YMCA where or where they let me train there and as long as my client was members, and so forth, and I can say it started there.

So started with one-on-one training, you know one-on-one training.

Then later on branched out, I started doing group training at my own spot for about a year for for for a little while, and you can kind of say I was always online training I give.

I have a certain app that I give to clients even though they're not seeing me.

When they're not seeing me in person, I still have something for them to do on their own time and stuff.

Excuse me, but uh, that that was until like 2019 when I fully went on fully online, when everything happened a little bit before covid, when I was starting to fully online, when everything happened a little bit before COVID, when I was starting to go online and everything then from there now, how I got into actually working with, with the artists and entertainers, so to speak, is they always tell you you got a niche down, you know it's about, you know if you're going into, you know certain business and niche down who you um targeting and helping and so forth.

When I at the time, it was more so people, 25 to 55 men and women looking to lose a little weight, maybe get a gain, tone a little bit or gain some muscle, get stronger or have some energy, and it started right there.

But as I start like actually finding a actual niche, I thought about, as they were saying, is either what you are passionate about or it's what you're going through.

So, um, and that's like I would like you, when you look at it, uh, how they, how they go around, they are constantly on the road, they're constantly traveling.

It's close by, and so what I do with online definitely can help that a lot, and the program that I got set up helps in a great way where they can be able to not only still keep up with their fitness and health, but also enhance their, their artistry as well in the process, because, because they are, you know, it is able to more accessible, and I make it where it's more towards a busy lifestyle or that demanding lifestyle that artists and entertainers have.

So what do you feel like some of the biggest mistakes that artists, creators and entertainers make and give some tips on how they can fix them?

Biggest mistake is, I think, is they think that that fitness got to take like an hour, or they got to clear out their whole day to just to just work out, you know, and it's not like that, I mean, it's just like anything else that you do uh, with, with your, your day-to-day, your day-to-day.

So you got a schedule, is a schedule, you got schedules and appointments you got to make.

I would say more, and most time it'd be like where they end up just getting what's around them or rationale goes out the door and they just end up, you know, eating whatever because they just want to get satisfied for us, because they're hungry.
