> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Welcome to the Living the Dream podcast with Curveball. if you believe you can achieve. Welcome to the Living the Dream with Curveball podcast, a show where I and a few guests that teach, motivate and inspire. Today I am joined by the founder of, Sexual Wellness Centers of America, Jeffrey Nuziard.
00:00:34.219 --> 00:00:36.619
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Thank you so much. Appreciate being here.
00:00:37.179 --> 00:01:08.480
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>At the age of 40, Jeff faced a struggle, but he refused to let that be the end of his story. So he created a patented protocol that helps thousands of men and women reclaim their sexual function, reconnect with themselves and their partners, and reclaim their self confidence. So we're going to be talking to him about how he turned his personal struggles into a mission of empowerment. So Jeffrey, thank you so much for joining me.
00:01:09.280 --> 00:01:11.519
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Thank you so much for having me. I appreciate it.
00:01:11.760 --> 00:01:14.799
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Why don't you start off by telling everybody a little bit about yourself.
00:01:15.599 --> 00:01:31.120
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Well, you know, interesting story. at 40 years old, I woke up and my mind was sexual, my body wasn't. My body said, I'm not in anymore, I'm out.
00:01:31.120 --> 00:01:42.590
> Jeffrey Nuziard>And I had, I could not perform for anything. And at 40 years old, and again, mentally, emotionally, I'm, plugged in and, and sexual and ready to go.
00:01:42.590 --> 00:02:51.939
> Jeffrey Nuziard>But physically, just not, that was pretty devastating. It's pretty devastating to me. And very emotional, backpack to carry type thing. It was a lot of load on my back, you know. And I had a whole nother career going on at the time. And I was just like, you know, this is, this is not okay. This, this is not okay. I'm not going to do this. I don't want to do drugs and I don't want to do surgery. So I got to fix it. And I literally started down this road of research and development not knowing what I would find. But what I was able to do is, find out the true cause of erectile dysfunction that a lot of people have been writing about for years, but they never either didn't know how to fix it or didn't were dancing around the problem. And I kept noticing with all these studies and white papers, I was reading a common denominator through the, all of them. And I, was like, that, that's got to be the problem. Let me look into that. And so yeah, it took 15 years, but we were able to develop and, and perfect, really.
00:02:52.180 --> 00:03:27.319
> Jeffrey Nuziard>The, and now it's the only patented cure. And I say that with all pride and humility at the same time. It is a cure. It's not a band aid. It's it is the only patented cure for erectile dysfunction, period, in the world. And, we have a 97.2% success rate. So I'm very proud of it, very happy with it. And we treat people every day. and we're also licensing that patent to physicians around the country, to be able to treat patients in their clinics as well.
00:03:27.639 --> 00:03:27.889
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>So.
00:03:28.120 --> 00:03:56.939
> Jeffrey Nuziard>So, yeah, my life is. It totally changed. You know, it's pretty interesting at 40 years old, to walk away from a career that I had been doing for about 17 years at that point, and, and just kind of walk away from all that and. And sell everything and put everything I got into figuring this problem out. But it's amazing what adversity will do to somebody. It's amazing what adversity will drive you to do when your back's against the wall.
00:03:58.620 --> 00:04:10.139
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Well, speaking of the problem, you know that sexual wellness is met with stigma and silence. So how do you break that barrier with your patients as well as the public?
00:04:11.340 --> 00:04:54.009
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Well, that's a great question, you know, and we're still trying to figure all that out as well, you know, because. But I will tell you, over the last 24 months, we've been operating now, for six years. but the. Over the last 24 months, the conversations have gotten a lot more frequent and a lot more fluid. it's becoming okay to talk about. For years, it was such a taboo thing. You know, I would meet so many men, they say, well, I don't have that problem, but a friend of mine does, and like, yeah, okay, cool, whatever. But it's like nobody ever had the problem because they just didn't want to talk about it. You know, the.
00:04:54.009 --> 00:05:06.730
> Jeffrey Nuziard>The statistics say that there's 30 million men in America that have erectile dysfunction. I believe that's a very underreported number because, as you just said, people don't want to talk about it.
00:05:06.730 --> 00:05:54.889
> Jeffrey Nuziard>They don't want to admit it. It is getting more prevalent, and it is getting kind of more of the invoke thing to talk about. And. Because there's help now, you know, and for so long, there's just been lotions and potions and topicals and. And pills and surgery, and that's all there was. It was all temporary, or you go through the surgery and now it's completely mechanical, and it's not even you anymore. all that stuff's been around and. And people are burned out on it. But yet there's been so much advertising through social media on erectile dysfunction. Now. I think people are just getting a lot more comfortable talking about it and saying, hey, I don't want to live like this. I want help. So it's worked out really well for us. and. And it actually, every year, gets easier because people want to. They show up.
00:05:54.889 --> 00:05:56.850
> Jeffrey Nuziard>I got people to fly in from all over the country.
00:05:57.490 --> 00:06:24.269
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Curtis. I got people flying to Texas from Maryland, from Los Angeles, from Florida. just picked up another one from Burbank, California. I mean, it's. It's crazy. They fly in for treatments every other week. But it works, and we're helping them, you know, so that's why I'd like to get licensees all over the country in every state, so that people don't have to fly everywhere to get it done. You know, they can get it done right where they're at.
00:06:26.430 --> 00:06:32.920
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Will, walk us through what makes your protocol unique and different from traditional approaches to sexual health.
00:06:34.680 --> 00:06:58.420
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Well, what makes it different is this is an actual regenerative cure. We're regenerating the internal penile tissue, where everything else is a temporary fix. You know, even Trimix injections, that's just temporary fix. Or Cialis Viagra, those kind of things, just temporary fixes. And all that does is prevent a whole bunch of blood in there.
00:06:58.420 --> 00:08:47.600
> Jeffrey Nuziard>It doesn't. It doesn't fix the problem, because the problem, the cause of erectile dysfunction is not blood flow that everybody's been saying for years. What I found is blood flow. Lack of blood flow is a result of erectile dysfunction. It's not the cause of it. And let me explain that. So the cause. In. Inside the penis, you've got two tubes called the corpus cavernosum. And inside of those tubes, there's a sponge called the spongiosum. And that spongy tissue job is to absorb the blood that is being pulled in through the veins. Well, it's just like any kitchen sponge at home on the kitchen sink, you know, eventually that sponge needs to be thrown away because it shrinks up. It becomes unuseful. It doesn't absorb anymore. And so what happens is we. We start to. Collagen starts to break down in our bodies as we age due to lack of hormone balance. When our hormones get out of balance, we lose testosterone and things like that. the collagen begins to tear down. And so the collagen in the sponge is what kept the sponge healthy and pliable and absorbable. Well, when that sponge breaks down, it doesn't absorb anymore. And to prove that it's like, people that, I talk to patients Every day who say, yeah, I've been on Calis for the last five years and it's worked great. And six months ago, it just doesn't work anymore at all. And the cool thing is those drugs work. I mean, they are designed to dilate vascularity and create blood flow. And they do.
00:08:48.899 --> 00:09:12.500
> Jeffrey Nuziard>The problem is your sponge isn't absorbing what's going in, so it's blood in, blood out. Every one of those guys will tell you, oh, yeah, I get a little firmer, but it doesn't get erect. Yeah, well, because the sponge isn't absorbing it. Blood flows in, blood flows back out. And then our bodies are very good at overcompensating for injuries and taking over when things aren't working right. So the veins are like, hey, Mr.
00:09:12.500 --> 00:09:36.639
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Sponge, you're not absorbing all the blood that we're sending in. So they develop atrophy to shrink up a little bit, to send less blood in, a smaller volume of blood in. And so now you get about a 75% erection and you can't maintain that either. Then you get 50% and it just snowballs downhill. so the first symptom of erectile dysfunction is I can get erect but not stay erect.
00:09:37.120 --> 00:09:40.399
> Jeffrey Nuziard>And this changes it all, changes everything.
00:09:43.289 --> 00:09:50.169
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Well, let's talk about the most surprising or rewarding feedback that you have received from somebody who has went through your program.
00:09:51.129 --> 00:09:53.570
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Oh, my God. That's what keeps me going, Curtis.
00:09:53.570 --> 00:11:10.110
> Jeffrey Nuziard>That's what makes me happy. I literally every day get to talk to patients who have finished their treatments and leaving, and they're just so thankful and grateful. my oldest patient is 85 years old. He's married to an 83 year old woman.
00:11:11.100 --> 00:12:01.500
> Jeffrey Nuziard>They've been married 60 years and hadn't had sex in 20 years now because they just couldn't. Now they're having sex four days a week, and they act like they're 16 year olds in love at band camp or something, running around all the time, acting crazy. when I hear those kind of stories and I hear people tell me, man, I'd have paid $25,000 for this. Knowing what it did for me changed my life. And of course, they wouldn't have because they didn't know back then. You know, I mean, they didn't until they went through it. They didn't know if it worked or not. But, it's. That's what keeps me going are the stories. The stories that I hear from the patients and how they've responded and how they're. They continue to grow and develop. And do well. And I got patients I treated several years ago, 10 years ago, that are still doing great. Still doing great.
00:12:04.259 --> 00:12:12.899
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>We'll talk about how you balance the science and medical side of sexual wellness with the deeply human emotional aspect of it.
00:12:14.100 --> 00:13:19.909
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Well, that's a great question. First of all, erectile dysfunction, what I deal with is age related degenerative erectile dysfunction. There's a lot of erectile dysfunctions out there. There's emotional erectile dysfunction, there's mental erectile dysfunction or, or mental slash psychological erectile dysfunction. People who are addicted to porn, they go through a psychological erectile dysfunction, they're destimilized, they, nothing stimulates them anymore because they're over stimulated by fantasy land of pornography. So when they get into reality and sex with a real woman, they're not able to perform because it's not enough to stimulate them. other, other guys are emotionally disconnected from their spouse and they can masturbate whenever they want, but they sure can't get erect to have sex with their wife.
00:13:20.949 --> 00:13:23.899
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Well, that's, that's an emotional problem. That's.
00:13:24.299 --> 00:14:04.279
> Jeffrey Nuziard>I get a lot of those guys that come in and ask me, you know, can you help me? Well, if it's a physical problem, yes. If it's an emotional problem, you need to probably talk to us like a counselor, a therapist, a sex therapist, something, because that's not what we do. So when it is a physical erectile dysfunction, we are able to regenerate that tissue and it heals the emotional breakdown between the couple and they're able to reconnect and, and engage back in intimacy again where they weren't able to do that for so long. And so it's healing a lot of marriages.
00:14:04.279 --> 00:14:25.389
> Jeffrey Nuziard>It's, it's really fun and exciting to watch because they're able to re. Engage in the intimate, most intimate parts of marriage that have been turned off for so long. And they didn't know how to handle it, they didn't know what to do, so they just kind of ignored it and act like it wasn't there. And it was creating division, it was creating a problem for sure.
00:14:27.309 --> 00:14:36.110
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Well, let's talk about why sexual wellness in your view, why sexual wellness such a critical part of overall health and confidence?
00:14:37.469 --> 00:17:04.650
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Oh, goodness. You know, the science, the psychological science states that sex over 50 is so much more important to the welfare and well being of the human body than sex under 50. Sex over 50, there's so many things that happen to your body in your brain and chemical releases and blood Releases and stimulants and things like that that just add to general health and well being were created to be sexual people. That is how we're wired. And when, when you just cut that off of your life because you're having an issue and you don't look into getting that issue fixed, you just cut it out. It creates a lot of emotional damage and distress as an individual and as, and definitely as a couple, for sure as a couple. Now there are couples, I'm not saying you're, you know, damn to hell or whatever, because there are couples who, paraplegiate couples, you just absolutely cannot have sex. They're fine, they're fine. I'm sure they have their other ways of intimacy and things like that, but you have to be able to be present mentally. And the way to be present mentally and emotionally is to make sure you're working physically. So again, we're talking three different aspects, you know, of, of erectile dysfunction. But it all leads back to so important to maintain a healthy sex life for couples. The longer, I mean, gosh, I mean even you hear Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. What's the secret to your so many year relationship? We had a lot of sex. We have a lot of sex. What they said, Dolly Parton said the same thing about her husband. it's just the older people, older age patients that I have cannot express to me enough, and I'm talking late 70s and 80s cannot express to me enough how important that is to them in their life. I mean, the treatment is not cheap. It's $10,000 to get the treatments done and they are happy, happy to pay it and happy to get it done. So obviously you're talking to people who are living that stage of their life and they tell you how important it is. It's important.
00:17:06.730 --> 00:17:16.370
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Well, let's talk about some of the challenges and battles that you face in bringing this vision to life. Whether it was through the research, aspect or even just building the centers.
00:17:17.170 --> 00:17:25.500
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Oh my gosh, Curtis, it was, it was crazy. It's amazing what adversity will drive you to do.
00:17:25.500 --> 00:17:32.250
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Because I was totally a wreck, mentally and emotionally in my mind, because I couldn't work.
00:17:32.650 --> 00:17:36.170
> Jeffrey Nuziard>And it, it drove me very hard to figure this out.
00:17:36.170 --> 00:21:09.320
> Jeffrey Nuziard>But the trial and error and the failure before I finally figured it out, I can't tell you how many times I wanted to quit and throw in the towel and say, no, I can't do this. I don't, it's out of my league. I Don't know what I'm doing, I don't know what I'm talking about. You know, and people, so many people that I talk to that I, I look to as advisors and, mentors, you know, were poo, pooing all over what I was doing and just telling me that, you know, you're chasing a rabbit hole that you're never going to find the end to. And, I have a very extensive laser background. And had I not had that, I probably, well, not probably, I wouldn't have been able to finish that, this fight. I wouldn't be where we are today. Because, I mean, it was, I was able, I understood. Collagen is the problem here. I know how to fix that. And, and it's not just one thing. There's, you know, my programmer. Gen Max is what it's called. Regen Max is a forced pillared protocol. And to, to, to get the 97 success rate, you have to do all four pillars. So this is why it took me 15 years of research and development to figure it out. Because I tried doing one treatment or just doing hormones, just doing collagen, remodeling, just doing shockwave or just, you know, I tried everything out there and I wasn't getting the success until I came up with the right amount of energy, the right amount of everything in the four steps and put them all together. That's when I was able to go, wait a minute, this is starting to work. and then I would treat a few more friends or I'd run an ad for test patients and had a few more patients show up, you know, and it was a no cost to them, costing me plenty of money, that's for sure. But I was able to, you know, test quite a few. And all of a sudden I started getting responses and a lot of success with it, and I was able to fine tune it and dial it in. So being it was such a long process and all the naysayers, that was tough. It was really tough. I, I'm, still not sure why I'm still here doing it. Honestly, I'm, I'm grateful that I didn't quit. You know, the, the guarantee of not finding a cure for that was to quit. Right? So, I didn't quit. And I'm thankful I didn't quit, but I don't mean I didn't want to. So many times, so many times. Even building the clinic, you know, I, I think, you know, everybody wants to get their erectile dysfunction fixed. I'm have People lined up out the door. I mean, that ain't the truth either. I mean, it goes on and on and on. You know, you had to learn how to advertise it. You have to learn how to speak to people about it because you don't want to be offensive. But you also can't just make it generic because there's so much generic ED hocus pocus out there with lotions and potions and all these different things out there that, people are tired of it. They're, they're sick of being burned on it. And, and so there's got to be a way to talk about it and teach it to where you're able to gain their trust. Yeah, it was a, it was a tough road for sure.
00:21:10.200 --> 00:21:16.680
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Well, looking forward, how do you see the conversation on sexual wellness evolving in the next decade?
00:21:18.040 --> 00:21:57.529
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Oh, goodness. You know, I was about 10 years ago, maybe eight years ago, I told a colleague of mine, I said, you know what, the baby boomers climbing up there in age and Gen X are starting to get into that age. This was eight, 10 years ago. And the aesthetics, med spa movement was blowing up. I mean, med spas on every corner. Doctors leaving their practices, general medicine and opening a med spa, one after, after another. And I said, you know, med spas are a dime a dozen right now.
00:21:57.529 --> 00:22:39.550
> Jeffrey Nuziard>They're on one on every corner. Ten years from now, you're going to see sexual wellness clinics everywhere because we're wired to have sex and ed is not going away. It's a problem. And we're getting them in younger and younger. I cannot believe I actually have patients in their young 30s now that have come in this year as patients and are being treated. it's, it's getting worse and worse. We have a very hormone deficient country right now. I think that's due to the cell phone age, the computer age, the AI age. For sure.
00:22:40.509 --> 00:22:52.880
> Jeffrey Nuziard>People don't have to work anymore. People sit around and they're very sedentary. hormones are very, your, body's not producing because you're not moving. You're not staying physically active.
00:22:53.120 --> 00:24:02.410
> Jeffrey Nuziard>And I think there's problems with the food we eat in America and fast. food is everywhere. And fast food is one of the biggest killers and destroyers of testosterone there is. I had a division one college athlete come in and tested his levels and his. At 24 years old, his testosterone level was 400. That's horrible. That's horrible. he should be 900 to a thousand or 900 to 1200 somewhere in that area. At 27 years old, I know for a fact my Testosterone level was 1185. And at 40, it had dropped to 305. So my testosterone crashed quickly. That was tied to genetics. I, I know for sure now. but looking around at society today and seeing all the people coming in, honestly, urologists, for years, all they do is Cialis, Viagra and penis implants. they say there's no, nothing else that'll work. Well, I'm here to tell you I've done the research. I, I know it works.
00:24:02.570 --> 00:26:11.940
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Regen Max works 97% of the time, it works. and I think it work 100% of the time. But there's some medical conditions that, that patients have that I can't get around. And when you're morbidly obese, or you have, not and. Or. But and morbidly obese, and you have type 2 diabetes and you have high blood pressure and you smoke, I mean, you're a walking heart attack anyway. But I mean, you're at that point, there's so many things creating inflammation in your body and shutting down blood flow and shutting down, creating more atrophy in your body, and inflammation that I can't get ahead of it. so we gotta, gotta lose the weight, gotta get the diabetes under control, get the high blood pressure under control. Then we can take care of you, and your body will regenerate itself. But I'm telling you. I know that, I know that. I know we're a few years away from sexual wellness being the thing. I think it started now. I just was at a conference this past weekend in Las Vegas, a medical conference. And I cannot believe how many people. I've been there five years in a row. I cannot believe how many people this year are addressing sexual dysfunction in their. They were talking about it. They were. Had, exhibit booths in the exhibit hall about it. It's growing, it's blowing up. it's projected to be a $3 billion industry by 2028. so if that tells you anything, there's 30 million men who admit to having erectile dysfunction in America today. That number is not getting any smaller. And I honestly think that's an underreported number because most men don't admit it. So, no, I think it's. I think it's moving upward, upward, upward. So this is again why I want to get as many licensees as possible to help people, because I know it works. I'm 60 years old now, and it works. Great. I have no issues.
00:26:14.180 --> 00:26:23.870
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Well, what's the advice you, would give to listeners out there that might be struggling in silence? What's the first step you would advise them to do to help them reclaim their confidence?
00:26:25.230 --> 00:27:09.250
> Jeffrey Nuziard>First thing I would do is find a reputable hormone replacement clinic. Do your research, call my office. We'll be happy to help you find a place in your area. If we don't have a practitioner or a provider in your area, I will be happy to help you. my staff will be to help you find somebody that's reputable. That's another problem. There's so many testosterone clinics and hormone clinics out there today that are just not doing a good job. And they went to a weekend course and think they're qualified to do it and they're, although that might be legally correct. They're, they're not in the game. I mean this, we research constantly, keep up with the science and all that.
00:27:09.730 --> 00:28:28.880
> Jeffrey Nuziard>But I would find a reputable hormone doctor and I would start there. Get your hormones fixed. But I would also say, you know, we have 20 licensees right now in the country. Maybe we have one close by you that you could go get help. Don't, waste your money on one treatment. Things like Gainswave or like shock therapy or there's all kinds of one off treatments that people will sell you for 2500 bucks or whatever. They don't work because you have to treat, you have to get to the root problem first, and treat everything around that. You can't just treat one problem. You can't just treat the blood flow. You have to treat the sponge and blood flow and the hormones. And there's all kinds of issues with that. So I would start by finding a reputable hormone place by you. I would call our office and see if we have a licensee or provider there in your area. And then I would also throw it out there. If you're a doctor or nurse practitioner or any kind of medical provider out there in the United States and you want to put something like this in your office, we want to talk to you. We want to get this going. It's, it's so important. It's so important.
00:28:29.840 --> 00:28:34.320
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Now is this stuff, this stuff covered by insurance or does it have to be out of pocket?
00:28:35.140 --> 00:28:59.470
> Jeffrey Nuziard>you know, we have had luck with Blue Cross blue shield covering 100 of it. I haven't had any other insurance carriers do that. We don't bill insurance, so the patient paid for it, but we finance it and do things like that. But, they were able to get full reimbursement through Blue Cross Blue Shield. We gave them all the CPT codes and all that, and they were able to file and get their money back.
00:29:01.150 --> 00:29:05.630
> Curtis Jackson (also known as DJ Curveball)>Well, tell us about any upcoming projects that you're working on that listeners need to be aware of.
00:29:06.670 --> 00:29:52.450
> Jeffrey Nuziard>Well, we're working right now on, the fluid that we invented, the stem cell replacement fluid that's part of the protocol. we're working on expanding that into other body parts, COPD patients and things like that. And we're also working on a way to do hormone delivery in a natural bioidentical way than what's available on the market right now. So got a couple science projects going on in the background. more than anything, I'm just focused right now on getting licensees, doctors and nurse practitioners and PAs. I'm trying to get them licensed and trained and using this. The need is just well beyond my scope of imagination.
