Living the dream with singer songwriter and childrens book author Lori Lynn Ahrends
Lori Lynn Ahrends’ vast knowledge of reading readiness has been informed by her quarter-of-a-century spent as a preschool teacher along with a decade of university teaching, state consulting, training and speaking, all in the early education realm.
Hers is a message or reassurance for people who care about young children and worry about whether they are doing enough or have fallen behind during the pandemic.
Her children’s book, I Am A Pig, was inspired by a song she wrote for her sons when they were preschoolers; today they are in their early thirties. Lori Lynn grew up on a farm and has always loved pigs!
She has been a keynote presenter to ministers of education at seminars in Ghana, and West Africa, as well as a returning speaker at the Young Child Expo in New York City.
