> Speaker A>Welcome, um, to the Living the dream podcast with curveball. Um, if you believe you can achieve, cheat, cheat.

00:00:18.850 --> 00:00:43.609
> Speaker B>Welcome to the Living a dream with Curveball podcast, a show where I interview guests that teach, motivate, and inspire. Today I am joined by veteran spiritual seeker John Lawyer. John went from desert combat zones to the battle within, and he is now one of the many guides of the online spiritual community.

00:00:43.759 --> 00:00:49.225
> Speaker B>Keisha. So we're going to be talking to him about his story and about the online spiritual community.

00:00:49.408 --> 00:00:52.240
> Speaker B>So, John, thank you so much for joining me today.

00:00:53.009 --> 00:00:54.557
> Speaker C>Thank you, Curtis. I appreciate it.

00:00:54.643 --> 00:00:57.759
> Speaker B>Why don't you start off by telling everybody a little bit about yourself?

00:00:58.530 --> 00:01:52.046
> Speaker C>Sure. Uh, was raised southern Baptist, so that was kind of conservative, but grew, uh, up in the church, left it behind, eventually counterintelligence. But I got to my first of my five year enlistment, and I spent about six and a half years, and that was consecutive. So it was an interesting kind, uh, of life. It was kind, uh, of a situation where I was so busy. Uh, there was a lot going on. I mean, sometimes we were in danger, big things would happen. So there was always that low grade, necessarily process it. And so that was, uh, my time in my twenty s, and I'm tired of this life. I knew that I needed to heal. I didn't necessarily know what. So it took me about seven years of kind of wondering, had this moment. I hadn't been honest. It kind of took me by surprise. And so the last, uh, two.

00:01:52.227 --> 00:01:57.060
> Speaker B>So, tell the listeners, what do you feel that your spiritual beliefs are?

00:01:57.829 --> 00:02:03.634
> Speaker C>Uh, overall, I'm a universalist. Kind of come as you are, practice our own individual.

00:02:03.831 --> 00:02:28.617
> Speaker C>That's the overall belief that I have. And then I also have my own personal kind of preferences within that, the kind of universal. You could call that, or you could call it Christ, like the Tao from daoism. I also respect, they've helped inform. So I try to have diverse practices where, you know, because I think if we ask different questions.

00:02:28.783 --> 00:02:37.550
> Speaker B>Well, tell us about Keisha, the online spiritual community. Tell us about the origin of the name and what listeners can expect if they decide to join.

00:02:37.860 --> 00:03:05.830
> Speaker C>Uh, the name is always important, right. In searching, we came across the earth or Gaia, and sometimes we don't realize it. So that's the origin for the community, kind of not necessarily as open going. And I think one of the things we're all on this spiritual journey, know it or not, but even if you know it and you're on the spiritual path, we still have to live in this real world. Most of us aren't going to live in the mountains area. So if we're going to live in this real world, how do we.

00:03:05.979 --> 00:03:07.717
> Speaker C>That's kind of the essence of.

00:03:07.883 --> 00:03:12.937
> Speaker B>So how can people benefit by working one on one with John Lawyer, one.

00:03:12.943 --> 00:03:47.530
> Speaker C>Of the things we do with the community, how can we help people their whole, whether they know it, and to navigate that intersection, take action. And we also take a really close, know what your higher purpose do you have an essence of it, and if you don't know what it is? Because I think we each have higher purpose or dark. And then we look at how that aligns with their. Basically it's whether it's someone life, walk of life, that you're having more sync. Because I think that alignment your lifestyle, that I'm body and soul, means that you can live a, uh, more peaceful.

00:03:47.710 --> 00:03:52.689
> Speaker B>What doing your time in the desert helps you now on your spiritual path?

00:03:52.849 --> 00:04:27.665
> Speaker C>The desert has a lot of power, and I think that I see a lot of light in the world now. I saw power and light. I also saw darkness. That machine is kind of this dark thing, and it grinds people up on our side. I think the longer that I was, we're all just humans. One of the things that I appreciate about that time. And if there's anything that I can do to help someone light their path so that they can see their own, maybe I shed a little bit of light on it, then maybe I help them, um, can take some shortcuts that I wasn't able to take.

00:04:27.848 --> 00:04:32.529
> Speaker B>And I think that's what define the stream of unconsciousness.

00:04:33.589 --> 00:04:42.598
> Speaker C>I think that from a, ah, young age, there's all this stuff is kind of like what we're predestined to do.

00:04:42.764 --> 00:05:01.254
> Speaker C>And I call that the stream of them, because that pulls us, and it can be this warm thing, kind of gentle, and you just kind of float down it. But maybe we're not experiencing life as fully and maybe we don't know, hey, what do I want? What are my values? What are my own truths?

00:05:01.382 --> 00:05:05.060
> Speaker C>And so, if we can just take us out of that stream of opportunities.

00:05:05.060 --> 00:05:11.485
> Speaker B>Uh, tell us about any current or upcoming projects that you're working on, that people need to know about.

00:05:11.668 --> 00:05:22.098
> Speaker C>We're always growing our community. We're adding stuff in, and we want to expand part of it. So we have this, but we also want to experience some connection in a.

00:05:22.103 --> 00:05:28.870
> Speaker B>Group set so people can sign up and check it out and keep up with everything that you're up to. Throw out your contact info.

00:05:29.529 --> 00:05:53.339
> Speaker C>Sure. Our website is keishar.org and that's got signing, uh, up for our community. It's got background on who we are. It's got, uh, links to, it's also got links to our YouTube channel where we put out free, uh, content a couple of times a week. We put easy to watch, uh, background on spirit would take a look at the website.

00:05:54.350 --> 00:06:01.930
> Speaker B>All right, close us out with some final thoughts. Maybe if that was something I forgot to talk about that you would like to touch on or just any final thoughts you have for the listeners.

00:06:02.089 --> 00:06:16.305
> Speaker C>I think that what I would say if you're going to do one thing and don't shoot for perfection, like, know that there's perfection inside of you, but you don't have to be perfect day. So have some grace for you. Got this, I think.
