Life at Cabrini Greens projects was rough. It was a tough life as a child living in one of the toughest and most dangerous projects in Chicago. Life in these Chicago housing projects was not fun in any sense. This area was a haven for gang violence. Specifically because many of the Cabrini- Green buildings were deserted. Living in gang territory means violence, murder, drugs, guns, and brokenness. What was the failure of Cabrini-Green?CHA failed to budget money to repair buildings and maintain landscaping as they deteriorated. Cabrini-Green's reputation for crime and gangs rivaled Little Hell's. The murders of two white police officers in 1970 and seven-year-old resident Dantrell Davis 1992 drew national attention in .Author Tyrone Malone grew up in these projects. He had a hard-working mother and father. But with Das nit living there and always working and on the road, he became hooked to the streets at a young age, selling drugs and carrying a gun. His story talks about a hard knock life and how he changed his life for the better.TyroneMalone98@gmail.comListen Up Listen In podcast can be heard on all podcast platforms and also check out Listen Up Listen In on Facebook, Instagram/listenuplistenin5697/preezy5687/linktr.ee; Twitter.com/ Preezy5687; LinkedIn; Pinterest; YouTube/Preezy6648, Tiktok/listenuplistenin5687 Website: www.listenuplistenin5687.com Email: Listenuplistenin5687@gmail.com Send a voice message to my podcast, Listen Up Listen In: https://anchor.fm/b-d92/message--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/b-d92/message
