Introduction
Have you ever wondered who is actually listening to this podcast and learning Japanese with me? Today, I would like to gently share some surprising data and also tell you about my new plans for Japanese lessons. If you are an adult learner or returning to Japanese after a long break, this episode is especially for you.

1. New Thumbnails and the Story Behind Them
Since January, I have been redesigning the thumbnails for this podcast so that you can understand the topic at a glance. Because this is a Japanese Language Learning channel, I use kanji as the main text and add English explanations below. The themes include culture, kanji, continuing learning, nature, goals, words, and sometimes just casual talk. There is no fixed number, and I may add more in the future. I hope these thumbnails make Japanese Listening Practice easier and more enjoyable for you.

2. Who Is Listening? Countries, Gender, and Age
This year, I finally checked the data on Spotify Creators. The country with the most listeners is the United States, followed by Japan and then Germany. Canada, the UK, New Zealand, Spain, and Brazil also appear. About 70% of listeners are women. What surprised me most was the age group. The largest group is between 45 and 59, followed by 35 to 44. This means many adult learners are listening. As a Japanese teacher who is also in this age group, I felt very encouraged. It tells me that Easy Japanese and gentle explanations are truly needed by adult learners around the world.

3. New Weekly Structure for Learning Japanese
I will continue uploading three times a week, but with clearer structure. Saturdays will be reading practice at N3 and N4 level for Japanese Listening Practice. Thursdays will be casual talk episodes like this one. Tuesdays will be short video lessons for Japanese for Beginners, using slides and clear explanations. These videos will be about 5 to 10 minutes and are perfect for people who want to start Learn Japanese from zero. If you already understand my talk, please share these videos with friends who want to begin Japanese.

4. From Podcast to Full Courses: My Next Step
I also have longer courses on Udemy, and I plan to create more from beginner to intermediate level. I have taught Japanese for over 30 years, and now I want to leave my teaching knowledge in video form. Even if you already understand Japanese, it is not common to hear someone talk about Japanese Language Learning in Japanese, so I hope you enjoy this style. Please check the links in the description for YouTube and Udemy.
