I got the pleasure of being part of SHRED an organization of skaters raising money for kids with Spina Bifida.
Spina bifida is a congenital condition where the spinal cord, as well as the bones of the spine (vertebrae), do not develop properly during pregnancy. This can result in a range of physical and neurological problems, including paralysis, bladder and bowel issues, and cognitive impairments.
For my part I was there with my cookbooks explaining my desire for everyone to get back to real food and family dinners. Proceeds donated to the cause. It was also wonderful to connect with my new friends and guests!
