Today we welcome to the podcast our friend and colleague Louis Cardenas, who is joined by a very special guest, Sandra Jackson, president & CEO of House of Ruth. Our friend Lou is on the Board of Directors of House of Ruth and when we reached out to him to be a guest, he graciously and selflessly suggested that instead of our usual interview, we interview and highlight the great work of Sandra Jackson in her leadership of one of DC’s most impactful domestic shelters.

House of Ruth is more than just housing. Founded in 1976, House of Ruth empowers women, children, and families to rebuild their lives and heal from trauma, abuse, and homelessness.
