Setting boundaries doesn't mean making dramatic declarations or cutting people off overnight. Just like learning to walk, we can start with small, wobbly steps that gradually build our confidence. Maybe it's taking a few extra minutes before responding to a text, saying "I'll think about it" instead of an automatic yes, or letting a call go to voicemail when you're eating dinner. Celebrate mini-steps and be patient as you develop this new skill of boundary-setting.
