De'Edra Dangerfield, MBA, HRM, shares her remarkable journey as the only Black supervisor for 17 years in the Quarantine Employment and Wages Unit at the Colorado Department of Labor. She also recounts leading the Denver Prep League's first state girls basketball championship team to an undefeated 24-0 season in the 80s, becoming the first and only Black female coach in Colorado to achieve this feat. Despite the challenges faced by female athletes at the time, De'Edra's passion for sports and commitment to her team led them to make history as the first Denver Prep women's team to hold the number one seed for an entire season.
