In this video, Lisa Vratny-Smith, MSW, shares her journey of turning to yoga in 1994 to manage the stress of working in Child Protective Services. Due to budget constraints, she began with books and videos but found a deep love for a regular home practice that supported her emotionally and physically. In 2000, Lisa discovered the Japanese energy work High Touch Jin Shin through a mutual friend. This led to an additional dimension of self-care for herself and her family. Her involvement in this practice also introduced her to a yoga teacher training course at the Community College of Aurora, propelling her into teaching yoga since 2002.
