Dr. Erin French discusses her academic journey, including her passion for art and history, which led her to take numerous classes in these fields at Simpson College. She shares her transformative experience studying British history and participating in a study abroad program in England and Scotland. This experience inspired her to pursue a master's degree abroad, which she completed at the University of Glasgow in Decorative Arts and Design History, funded through Title IV federal funding.
Dr. French also highlights the vocational training included in her program, preparing her for careers in auction houses, stately homes, or museums.
