I finished my doctorate and realized…I don’t know anything

After I finished my doctoral studies, you would think that would be the moment where I felt really, really super smart—like I knew so much.

But what actually hit me was, oh my goodness… there is so much more to learn in this world.

It was this mix of joy and humility—realizing that not only do I not know everything, but I never will. That moment was eye-opening for me.

Fast forward more than 25 years later, and honestly, I still feel the same way. I do not know everything. I never will. And there is still so much more to learn.

So let us just keep learning—and keep innovating.
