Brian Barker, MBA, CHE, shares his inspiring journey from working as the Director of Operations and Technology at a small nonprofit in Chicago, to being unexpectedly offered a full-time teaching position at DePaul University. He recounts his rewarding experience providing housing and clinical services for mentally ill adults and how he tackled significant challenges within the organization.
Despite never having taught before, Barker embraced his new role in academia and excelled, ultimately leading the College of Business in student evaluations by the end of his first year.
