Michael Burton, MFA, discusses the innovative work being done in the Animating History Lab. He explains how undergraduate students are creating a digital library of 19th-century costumes for historical animations. The lab, which operates both virtually and through the Center for Digital Research in the Humanities, offers students opportunities to learn technical fashion design, costuming, animation, and storytelling, tailored to their majors.
Michael also highlights a dentistry student who is gaining animation skills that could be applied to medical illustration.
