Liz Spencer is the founder and creative powerhouse behind Bridal by SHL. Since its inception in 2020, Bridal by SHL, based in Karney, Missouri, has quickly established itself as a beacon of inclusivity and creativity within the bridal industry. Liz's journey began with a passion for design, which led her to doodle dresses and outfits from a young age. This naturally led her to pursue an apparel, merchandising, and design degree at Iowa State University.

After college, Liz's professional path included competing in Omaha Fashion Week and managing local apparel retail. The loss of her grandfather in 2019 catalyzed her decision to fully embrace her passion for bridal fashion. By 2020, she had launched Bridal by SHL, which started as an alterations shop and evolved into a boutique that designs and sells wedding gowns. She is supported by an incredible team of women who help bring her vision to life.

Recently, Bridal by SHL was recognized as a finalist in two prestigious categories at the Kansas City Engaged Couple Choice Awards—Best Wedding Gown Shop and Best Bridal Designer, winning the latter. This accolade is a testament to Liz's deep connection with her clients, whose support fuels her ongoing commitment to excellence.

Liz's journey is also marked by resilience. Born with paralysis in her right arm, she has never allowed it to limit her dreams. This experience profoundly shapes her mission to ensure that her boutique is a place where diversity, body positivity, and personal expression are celebrated, making every bride feel confident, sexy, and radiant.
