IDP Nation EP #191 w/Sean Dujay Let the Off Season Begin

League Openings

We have one opening in an IDP-only league with a $55 buy-in. We draft before the NFL Draft and currently entering season three of this dynasty league. If you are interested or want more details please reach out to me (@HollywoodTitan) or @KBellf54.

We also have an opening in one of our listener leagues. It's free but a very competitive league. Offense & defense dynasty league looking for a good owner.

News and Notes

Two Eagles have flown away as former Philadelphia OC Shane Steichen was recently hired as the Colts' new Head Coach while former DC Jonathan Gannon was hired as the Cardinals' Head Coach.

NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports the Eagles are expected to "make a big push" to keep S Chauncey Gardner-Johnson this offseason.

The leader for the Denver Broncos' open DC job is Rex Ryan, followed by Vance Joseph and Kris Richard.

49ers EDGE Nick Bosa has been named the Associated Press 2022 Defensive Player of the Year. Bosa produced 51 tackles (41 solos), 19 TFL, a league-leading 18.5 sacks, and 48 QB hits this season.

Jets CB Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner has been named the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year. Gardner had a stellar rookie season compiling 75 tackles (51 solos), 3 TFLs, a league-leading 20 passes defended, and 2 interceptions.

ESPN's Rich Cimini expects the Jets to release DE Carl Lawson. The Jets have $37 million tied up in Lawson ($15M) and LB C.J. Mosley ($22M). Releasing Lawson would clear his entire $15 million salary while Mosley could be asked to restructure.

Washington coach Ron Rivera said the team has opened contract talks with DT Daron Payne. The Commanders didn't extend Payne last offseason, letting Payne play out his fifth-year option. Payne went on to produce career-highs in tackles (64), sacks (11.5), TFL (18), QB hits (20), and passes defended (5).

The Athletic's Zac Jackson writes "it feels like" John Johnson won't be back with the Browns in 2023. Johnson had a down season and is one of Cleveland's best avenues to clear cap space this offseason. He's got a $13.5 million cap number and the Browns can save $12.6 million by cutting him.

The Athletic's Matt Barrows writes the 49ers are "unlikely" to pick up Javon Kinlaw's fifth-year option in May. Ravens DE Calais Campbell announced he would return for a 16th season in 2023.
