Guide

Michelle was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1998. She spent the next 12 years on a rollercoaster of manic and depressive episodes with doctors, therapists, psychotropic meds, hospitalizations and suicide attempts. She was at her wit's end and felt humiliated, hopeless and lost. She was particularly devastated by the toll it took on her marriage and small children.

Finally, she and her psychiatrist found a solution that became a turning point in her story. She began the process of developing an integrated method for successfully treating her bipolar.

Michelle is all about learning how to accept responsibility for yourself and overcoming the victimhood mentality that so often accompanies bipolar disorder. She teaches others how to be proactive in the treatment and care of themselves and their disorder so that they can be fully present for their partners and children and live happy, fulfilling lives.
