I cut my teeth in entrepreneurship in one of the toughest industries: hospitality
After a very rocky start for our dessert bar business - my husband and I were naive enough to think that if our product was good enough, people would just find us! - we managed to grow very rapidly after riding the Instagram wave with content of our delicious desserts and leveraging the audiences of food bloggers who were taking over the platform.
This experience showed me the importance of 2 of the 4 tiers of the Traffic Pyramid - passive organic marketing and leveraging other people’s audiences.
But with the changes in social media platforms also came the realization that I couldn’t just rely on these 2 tiers.
So when I launched my coaching business, I read, learned and implemented every other marketing strategy out there which led me to create the rest of The Traffic Pyramid. And this is the very framework I used to grow my podcast and make over $200k in just my first year podcasting for my coaching business.
