00:04:36,835 --> 00:04:37,075 Yeah. 54 00:04:37,075 --> 00:04:37,435 It's funny. 55 00:04:37,435 --> 00:04:43,550 I was Cynthia Sta, who runs Lenora Medical, she once told me that if chocolate cake, I. 56 00:04:43,550 --> 00:04:49,150 Appeared like as a lump in your body, like just sort of popped out of your hip right after you ate it. 57 00:04:49,180 --> 00:04:49,810 You wouldn't eat it. 58 00:04:50,020 --> 00:04:50,561 You would never eat. 59 00:04:50,940 --> 00:04:57,730 But, but, but because cookies, cakes, and pies, accumulate all over gradually then hey, I'll have the, yeah. 60 00:04:58,360 --> 00:05:02,080 So now every time I ate something bad, I'm like, oh God, it's just gonna pop out of my shoulder or something. 61 00:05:02,470 --> 00:05:02,760 Yeah. 62 00:05:03,250 --> anywhere else on my body, but But, you've encouraged me a lot to really watch my diet. 66 00:05:12,120 --> 00:05:13,770 I've, I am not a. 67 00:05:15,030 --> 00:05:19,890 Complete vegan now, but I, I don't, I, I know meat. 68 00:05:19,890 --> 00:05:21,780 I'm a vegan, but God knows if I'm complete. 69 00:05:22,350 --> 00:05:24,510 Well, I don't, I don't eat meat because of you. 70 00:05:24,510 --> it's filthy and No, no. 74 00:05:29,465 --> 00:05:33,240 Just because of you of listening to you so much about that. 75 00:05:33,500 --> 00:05:36,910 The data, just every day the data comes out that confirms it and. 76 00:05:37,480 --> 00:05:42,695 more and more in the entertainment industry, I find that, entertainers are heating the call. 77 00:05:42,975 --> 00:05:52,635 In fact, Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, Tony, all of the awards dinners now at the dinners, they're either all plant-based or in fact, the Spirit Awards were just all plant-based. 78 00:05:52,635 --> 00:05:54,705 There was, there were no non-vegan options. 79 00:05:55,120 --> 00:06:02,060 And that's because A sustainability, but b a lot of people in entertainment now have made the switch and continue to do so. 80 00:06:02,060 --> 00:06:06,010 The biggest Lizzo yesterday gave a shout out to Fat Vegans cuz she's vegan, but she's heavy. 81 00:06:06,610 --> 00:06:10,725 so she gave a shout out to all the fat vegans and I thought that just sounds like a restaurant chain fat vegan. 82 00:06:11,035 --> 00:06:14,545 But, but so yeah, no, it's, it's, it's time. 83 00:06:14,545 --> 00:06:18,565 The planet wants us to, our bodies want us to, all the research says. 84 00:06:19,145 --> 00:06:22,535 Cardiovascular wise and just, all other organs in your body. 85 00:06:22,535 --> 00:06:23,375 Like it better. 86 00:06:23,380 --> 00:06:23,555 Yeah. 87 00:06:23,745 --> 00:06:26,285 Unless you, eat Oreos and stuff all day. 88 00:06:26,535 --> 00:06:31,125 But, just swallowing a plant-based diet, it's the way, and, you gotta have more energy nowadays. 89 00:06:31,130 --> 00:06:34,965 I was just telling a friend, in the entertainment industry, I used to fight being gay. 90 00:06:35,215 --> 00:06:36,595 That was always the big obstacle. 91 00:06:36,595 --> 00:06:37,196 Oh, you're gay, you're gay. 92 00:06:37,405 --> 00:06:38,365 It's like, there was a news flash. 93 00:06:38,365 --> 00:06:38,675 Of course. 94 00:06:38,675 --> 00:06:44,215 I mean, but now I'm white and 60 and so there's, there's all these different. 95 00:06:44,575 --> 00:06:46,015 There's always something to fight. 96 00:06:46,015 --> 00:06:46,105 Yes. 97 00:06:46,395 --> 00:06:53,535 Which means that you always have to have stamina to do it because the only people that survive in this business are the people who continue going. 98 00:06:53,835 --> 00:06:58,545 I mean, many, a fabulous singer, actor, dancer, broadcaster, broadcasting, used to mean spreading seeds. 99 00:06:58,545 --> 00:07:00,950 By the way all, all of these people. 100 00:07:01,750 --> 00:07:05,535 many fabulous people have just stopped because they're just, they're tired of it. 101 00:07:05,565 --> 00:07:08,125 They get tired they get tired of the rejection. 102 00:07:08,125 --> 00:07:13,025 They get tired of having to just cata call what's his name? and she peels off her coat. 510 00:26:39,321 --> 00:26:42,111 And she's naked, except for her body is all painted by Keith Herring. 511 00:26:42,671 --> 00:26:44,291 So, you know, I think I remember that picture. 512 00:26:44,291 --> 00:26:45,371 There was a photo of that. 513 00:26:45,371 --> 00:26:46,121 Absolutely. 514 00:26:46,126 --> 00:26:46,541 Yeah, yeah, yeah. 515 00:26:46,721 --> 00:26:56,501 So, yeah, so she merges, modern art with music and I don't think there are many artists nowadays that really pay as much attention to art and artists. 516 00:26:57,121 --> 00:26:59,741 That aren't musical art and artist as she does. 517 00:26:59,741 --> 00:27:01,781 Yeah, Basquiat did things for her. 518 00:27:01,991 --> 00:27:11,931 I mean, she's had so many famous painters and famous sculptors do things for her, make dresses for her, make outfits for her famous, Cottiers. 519 00:27:12,521 --> 00:27:14,531 Who just want to design one-offs for her. 520 00:27:14,531 --> 00:27:18,521 So I really think that, there's, there's just not another entity like her. 521 00:27:18,701 --> 00:27:31,062 Well, she's so striking and so charismatic, and every, every time you see something, a picture of her or a performance, you just, it, it, you have this well up of like, feeling like sometimes it's uncomfortable, I have to say. 522 00:27:31,796 --> 00:27:32,486 Sometimes you're tired. 523 00:27:32,486 --> 00:27:35,306 I remember waiting to see her at Lion Country Safari in Southern California. 524 00:27:35,306 --> 00:27:43,436 She was supposed to come on at midnight at 3:00 AM a forklift comes on with a leopard inside a cage, and on top of the cage was her. 525 00:27:43,796 --> 00:27:47,876 So, I'm sorry, the leopard was on top of the cage and she was in the cage. 526 00:27:47,876 --> 00:27:48,717 I think I remember seeing that. 527 00:27:49,166 --> 00:27:50,066 Like a leopard. 528 00:27:50,066 --> 00:27:50,876 Oh, we were there. 529 00:27:51,156 --> 00:27:56,941 And so this forklift drops her and she's doing Demolition man, Yama walking nightmare. 530 00:27:58,861 --> 00:27:59,531 And here's this. 531 00:27:59,711 --> 00:28:02,016 there's this leopard and we're just like, holy Christ. 532 00:28:02,046 --> 00:28:02,106 Yeah. 533 00:28:02,416 --> 00:28:05,236 But like Madonna, she's never really started a show on time. 534 00:28:05,806 --> 00:28:06,256 Oh, yeah. 535 00:28:06,256 --> 00:28:09,946 Well, which I find horribly disrespectful, by the way, the same with Madonna. 536 00:28:09,951 --> 00:28:12,796 When Madonna came to Vegas three years ago, the show was at eight. 537 00:28:12,801 --> 00:28:14,416 She saed on stage at 10 30. 538 00:28:14,416 --> 00:28:15,376 Fuck you Madonna. 539 00:28:15,686 --> 00:28:17,446 I would've left so eighties also would've left. 540 00:28:18,046 --> 00:28:18,966 I would've left. 541 00:28:19,366 --> 00:28:20,806 And they took all their cell phones. 542 00:28:20,806 --> 00:28:23,446 So these people have been sitting there for two and a half hours without their No. 543 00:28:23,596 --> 00:28:28,246 That is so disrespectful of an artist to disrespect the audience's time. 544 00:28:28,831 --> 00:28:29,441 Oh, I agree. 545 00:28:29,441 --> 00:28:33,391 it's, it's just so dis if I say the show starts at date, it starts at date. 546 00:28:33,391 --> 00:28:34,861 If you ain't in your seat, too bad, baby. 547 00:28:34,861 --> 00:28:39,211 It's, it's ha because I come from a world where you can't begin at four 10 or four 15. 548 00:28:39,451 --> 00:28:45,061 You ha you're, me and Andy. 728 00:37:36,821 --> 00:37:44,771 So he created this cartoon called Queer Duck at the time for Icebox, which was an early website that did web animations in Java script. 729 00:37:45,291 --> 00:37:47,271 And so he created the show. 730 00:37:47,451 --> 00:37:48,711 He wanted me to be the voice. 731 00:37:48,711 --> 00:37:53,976 I went and auditioned for it cuz he goes, look, I have to have you audition cuz it's the studio and not me. 732 00:37:54,381 --> 00:38:02,061 And the only reason I didn't get it, and Jim j Bullock did, is because I could only do one voice and Jim j Bullock could do five. 733 00:38:02,461 --> 00:38:14,791 So he got the part of Queer Duck, even though it's me and that show went on to be on Showtime and Ollie Gator and all the other, the characters in the mean you, you were, you were, you were working at the drive-through and Andrew was, you had an earpiece or something and he was telling you Yeah. 740 00:38:29,911 --> 00:38:32,731 He was like suggesting what you could say to the people ordering the shoes. 741 00:38:32,731 --> 00:38:32,821 Yeah. 742 00:38:32,826 --> 00:38:34,441 They always had him, they always had him do that. 743 00:38:34,446 --> 00:38:40,591 Like when I was holding and you were razing these people like, oh yeah, like when the lady ordered the fried fish and the french fries with a diet Coke. 744 00:38:40,591 There was a woman that decided she was gonna see how much money she could get with a particular sign. 760 00:39:18,751 --> 00:39:23,251 And I thought, well, I wonder how much each sign makes, like if honesty counts on the sign. 761 00:39:23,761 --> 00:39:29,981 And we had heard that the homeless people switched their signs a amongst each other and share dogs and children and stuff to try to get more money. 762 00:39:30,401 --> 00:39:32,321 So I said, well, I wanna go out with three signs. 763 00:39:32,321 --> 00:39:37,091 We'll work for food, we'll work for booze, or, or Please gimme money for food. 764 00:39:37,091 --> 00:39:38,141 Please gimme money for booze. 765 00:39:38,306 --> 00:39:43,016 Or please gimme money for Pod and I wanna see which sign gets the most. 766 00:39:43,286 --> 00:39:45,056 So they, we had a Hollywood makeup artist. 767 00:39:45,056 --> 00:39:51,836 I was doing a show called Ultimate Revenge with Ryan Seacrest and Mark Summers, and we had the makeup artist from that show come over and do my makeup. 768 00:39:52,166 --> 00:39:57,056 And it was so good that the security guard that was supposed to go out to protect me actually threw me out of the K F I building. 769 00:39:57,426 --> 00:39:59,106 Because he thought I was a real homeless person. 770 00:39:59,506 --> 00:39:59,846 Oh, wow. 771 00:39:59,851 --> 00:40:06,331 And oh yeah, so, so I go out on the corner of the metro station at Wilshire and we're crossing the Wilshire Theater. 772 00:40:06,781 --> 00:40:09,921 And the, the pot made the most money, the pot sign. 773 00:40:10,311 --> 00:40:13,521 But a, I found out how aggressive homeless people are about their territory. 774 00:40:13,521 --> 00:40:14,152 That's the first thing. 775 00:40:14,701 --> 00:40:18,631 Number two, I found out that people do not look at homeless people. 776 00:40:18,631 --> 00:40:22,321 I stood at the top of a great escalator coming from the down underneath trains. 777 00:40:22,791 --> 00:40:27,681 Saying hello to people as they streamed out on both sides of me, and nobody looked at me. 778 00:40:27,981 --> 00:40:29,241 Nobody spoke to me. 779 00:40:29,421 --> 00:40:33,141 No one looked at me, and it showed me how we all overlook these people. 780 00:40:33,146 --> 00:40:33,921 We don't look at them. 781 00:40:33,921 --> 00:40:40,011 We, I say hello to every person I meet, including the homeless and, and many homeless and Desert Breeze Park will attest to that. 782 00:40:40,011 --> 00:40:40,911 I know all their names. 783 00:40:40,916 --> 00:40:41,422 I ask their names. 784 00:40:42,101 --> 00:40:45,771 They're people, they're humans and they deserve to be addressed. 785 00:40:46,401 --> 00:40:49,431 And I don't care that you don't like their living situation or that they stink. 786 00:40:49,436 --> 00:40:50,261 I don't care. 787 00:40:50,951 --> 00:40:51,631 they're human. 788 00:40:51,971 --> 00:40:52,961 I address animals though. 789 00:40:52,961 --> 00:40:55,331 I talk to Grackles, I talk to anybody, dogs, whatever. 790 00:40:55,336 --> 00:41:01,091 If it's a living thing, it deserves to be addressed, but I learned that, that they, they don't address you. 791 00:41:01,626 --> 00:41:04,326 and so then Andrew was in my ear. 792 00:41:04,326 --> 00:41:09,916 We again, I was supposed to do it for an hour, ended up doing it for three, and Andrew's in my ear saying, well sing, sing a song. 793 00:41:09,941 --> 00:41:11,166 And he would say, sing Billy Jean. 794 00:41:11,166 --> 00:41:18,706 And plus, suddenly I'm out there singing Billy Jean or whatever, and no one ever thought it was weird that I was talking to myself, even though I was talking on the radio because I was homeless. 795 00:41:18,711 --> 00:41:20,686 And so they just thought I was fucking crazy, so, mm-hmm. 796 00:41:21,256 --> 00:41:25,136 so I would be talking to him and the listeners, the listeners were calling in and suggesting I do things. 797 00:41:25,376 --> 00:41:27,386 Then Andrew said, say, praise Jesus a lot. 798 00:41:27,391 --> 00:41:28,256 See how much money you make. 799 00:41:28,286 --> 00:41:28,766 Oh my God. 800 00:41:28,766 --> 00:41:29,936 The money started rolling in. 801 00:41:29,936 --> 00:41:30,746 I was like, Wow. 802 00:41:30,746 --> 00:41:31,316 Praise Jesus. 803 00:41:31,316 --> 00:41:31,826 Hallelujah. 804 00:41:31,826 --> 00:41:32,846 Thank Jesus. 805 00:41:33,126 --> 00:41:34,776 And oh yeah, money just started rolling. 806 00:41:34,781 --> 00:41:35,216 Incredible. 807 00:41:35,466 --> 00:41:39,306 I subsequently, when I was done, I had collected over $200 in three hours. 808 00:41:39,696 --> 00:41:40,836 I thought, well, this isn't a bad gig. 809 00:41:41,136 --> 00:41:41,646 Ah, yeah. 810 00:41:41,826 --> 00:41:47,986 But I subsequently gave it to a homeless veteran whose area I had taken over with my wheelchair and everything. 811 00:41:48,046 --> 00:41:49,686 Cuz I brought a wheelchair and the whole thing. 812 00:41:49,966 --> 00:41:52,276 And I gave it to this homeless veteran that was there. 813 00:41:52,776 --> 00:41:54,066 I said, here, here have this money. 814 00:41:54,336 --> 00:41:56,226 He couldn't understand why I was giving it to him. 815 00:41:56,226 --> 00:41:57,666 And then finally I pulled off the wig instead. 816 00:41:57,666 --> 00:41:59,606 I said, look, I was doing a bit, oh. 817 00:41:59,606 --> 00:42:00,806 I thought you were one of us. 818 00:42:00,806 --> 00:42:05,726 I go, I was, I was homeless for over a year, so trust me, I, I was one of you, but just not today. 819 00:42:05,756 --> 00:42:06,326 Not wood. 820 00:42:06,326 --> 00:42:07,766 I'm lucky enough now to have a home. 821 00:42:08,066 --> 00:42:08,246 Yeah. 822 00:42:08,306 --> 00:42:10,131 But, so yeah, it was great fun. 823 00:42:10,131 --> 00:42:17,841 And every time they would send me out and Andrew would stay behind and talk to me in my ear and tell me what to do or what to, things to say to people. 824 00:42:18,566 --> 00:42:19,946 No, I, I haven't heard any of those. 825 00:42:19,946 --> 00:42:21,386 I would love to hear the homeless ones. 826 00:42:21,446 --> 00:42:24,116 Oh, they're, they're, they're hyster, they're, they're fun. 827 00:42:24,116 --> 00:42:25,436 The sci tell you the tapes. 828 00:42:25,616 --> 00:42:26,156 Oh yeah. 829 00:42:26,156 --> 00:42:31,346 The Scientology one is hysterical because I just got bored one day and I said, I wanna go for a walk down Hollywood Boulevard. 830 00:42:31,746 --> 00:42:33,936 And so Tony Dinkle said, well, let's get in the remote van. 831 00:42:33,936 --> 00:42:41,346 So we, we went over and I just was talking on the radio while Andrew was at the studio, and the Scientologists were given their quiz out in front of Scientology. 832 00:42:41,736 --> 00:42:43,356 And I thought, oh, I'll take this live on the radio. 833 00:42:43,771 --> 00:42:44,551 And they wouldn't let me.
