Welcome to Fluxedo Junction. Each episode, we bring you the best music of all genres from throughout the world, and this week we’ll be speaking with singer and drummer John Cowsill. While he’s perhaps best known for his work as a singer and drummer with his siblings’ band The Cowsill, his career is far more varied than that. He spent years as a drummer and vocalist for The Beach Boys touring band, featuring original Beach Boy Mike Love and longtime member Bruce Johnston. He's also performed and recorded with Jan and Dean, Tommy Tutone, and Dwight Twilley. Most recently, he’s been touring as a vocalist with power pop legends The Smithereens and has been releasing new studio recordings with his wife Vicki Peterson of the Bangles.
