WBCQ/The Planet airdate - 6/28/25Welcome to Fluxedo Junction! Each episode we bring you the best music of all genres from throughout the world, and this week we'll be speaking with an old friend of the show - composer and multi-instrumentalist Richard X. Heyman.Known to many as a member of New Jersey garage-rock legends The Doughboys, Heyman has enjoyed a prolific solo career - releasing upwards of 12 albums and numerous singles and E.P.s. His partner in building his solo career has been his wife Nancy, a veteran record executive who has helped him navigate the murky waters of the ever changing music industry. Richard's newest project is a rock musical called "Tiers - A Rock and Roll Love Story", which is rooted in his 2011 studio album titled "Tiers/And Other stories". The play, a collaboration with Lindsay Hope Pearlman, tells the story of his relationship with Nancy, and just had a triumphant staged reading and performance at The Green Room 42 in New York City.
