In addition to his past work with music magazines such as MOJO, The Wire, and Prog - Mike is known for his acclaimed biography "Captain Beefheart". He has a new book out titled "A New Day Yesterday - UK Progressive Rock & The 1970s". The book is a well written and thoroughly researched history of one of the most colorful sub-genres of rock music, detailing the work of various well known artists such as King Crimson, Genesis, Yes, and Jethro Tull.
