3:36 Time for some sitcom answers. Question one asked what British sitcom was Three's Company based on and how many episodes of that show did ABC executives watch before deciding to adapt it, leading to three different pilot episodes being filmed with different casts. Answer. The show was based on Man about the House, and ABC executives watched only six minutes of one episode before ordering the adaptation. They stopped watching because they were laughing too hard and immediately called their legal department to secure the rights. Question two asked during season four, Suzanne Summers missed several episodes due to a salary dispute. What creative camera tricks and stand in techniques did the show employ to maintain her character Chrissy's presence while she was absent answer. They filmed Summers separately in one minute segments at the end of episodes, showing her calling from her parents' home while using a body double filmed from behind. For group scenes, The producers even recycled old footage of her laughing from previous episodes to maintain continuity.

4:37 Question three asked John Ritter was famous for performing his own physical comedy stunts on the show. Which specific scene in the Jacksback episode sent him to the hospital yet remained in the final cut because he insisted they keep rolling. Answer. While filming a scene where Jack falls backward over a couch, Ridder hit his head on a camera and needed six stitches, but finished the scene before going to the hospital. He later said it was his favorite pratfall because the blood made it more authentic. Question four asked the show's iconic theme song, Come and Knock on Our Door, went through several versions, which legendary TV composer wrote it and what last minute changed to the lyrics was made the night before filming began. Answer. Joe Riposo, famous for writing sesame street songs, composed it and changed Come and Dance on Our Floor to Come and Knock on Our Door. The night before shooting, The original lyrics were deemed too suggestive by network sensors. Question five asked, when Don Knotts joined the cast as mister Furley in nineteen seventy nine, how did his iconic wardrobe come about and which famous nineteen seventies fashion designer actually sued the show over one of his signature outfits. Answer. Knots created the look himself by rating thrift stores, leading to a lawsuit from designer Halston over a red leopard print leisure suit that was too similar to his new collection. They settled the case by giving Halston and a cameo appearance as himself. That concludes our trip down TV memory lane.
