Saint Patrick was depicted in blue garments and early artwork, and when the Order of Saint Patrick was established in seventeen eighty three, its official color was blue. Green only became associated with the holiday in the late eighteenth century. Question two, what landmark has dyed green? Answer? The Chicago River. Since nineteen sixty two, the city has used a vegetable based dye to turn the river green for several hours. The original dye was actually orange, but turned green when it mixed with the water. Question three Which president visited his Irish ancestral village? Answer?
