*Stats: Starting Weight December 2017: 450 lbs
Optifast Weight February 20, 2018 : 400 lbs
Surgery Weight, March 20, 2018: 375 lbs ( Gastric Sleeve Surgery)
Last week’s weight, December 23, 2018: 260 lbs
Today's weight, December 30, 2018: 257 lbs - 3 pounds lost
I have lost 193 pounds in total since the start of this journey and 118 pounds since my surgery.

10 things not to do after VSG/WLS surgery

1. do not drink carbonated drinks, it hurts, but it can also lead to going back to bad habits. Diet Coke and junk food always went hand in hand

2. Always take you vitamins. Vitamin D with gastric sleeve, Vitamin D is common with be deficient in.

3. Do not eat and drink at the same time. practice the 30/30 rule. This can also contribute to stretching your stomach, drinking and eating together is not good

4. Don't miss your post op visits with the Bariatric Team. your 3, 6, 1 year follow up is important

5. Don’t go out and buy all sorts of new clothes.

6. Don’t put to many sweets back into your diet. Watch out for your old habits creeping back in. Its going to trigger those old habits

7. Watch out with going out to eat. If you have to go out to restaurant, order soup or just meat.

8. Don’t forget to keep track of your measurements. your body is going to change a lot. Documenting your journey is really important. Look at the whole picture. You don’t want to miss the changes.

9. Do not feel ashamed you did the surgery. Never feel embarrassed that you took the easy way out. It is not easy. You took charge of your life.

10. This is not a FIX ALL Solution. It is a tool. It doesn’t fix all your problems. You have to be 100 % behind your new healthy life style change. It doesn’t fix the mind games.
