00:00:00,200 --> 00:00:01,900
Hey everybody, Welcome to the
podcast.

2
00:00:01,900 --> 00:00:05,200
We are back with another special
bonus episode.

3
00:00:05,200 --> 00:00:09,700
Bonus episode Brad.
It is that time of year, again

4
00:00:09,700 --> 00:00:14,700
for fat babies shooting arrows.
Hearts everywhere bog.

5
00:00:14,700 --> 00:00:18,000
Let's flowers Love Is in the
Air.

6
00:00:18,000 --> 00:00:19,100
Yes it is.
My friend.

7
00:00:19,100 --> 00:00:22,200
It is almost Valentine's Day and
you know what that means?

8
00:00:22,200 --> 00:00:25,600
We are making some romantic
cocktails on the filament

9
00:00:25,600 --> 00:00:28,500
whiskey podcast today.
Oh, I thought it meant that

10
00:00:28,900 --> 00:00:31,300
people were just complaining
thing about how it's a Hallmark

11
00:00:31,300 --> 00:00:33,700
holiday and nobody actually
cares.

12
00:00:33,700 --> 00:00:36,400
And love is dead, and that's
usually what I see on social

13
00:00:36,400 --> 00:00:38,100
media.
So, I was gonna say, I don't

14
00:00:38,100 --> 00:00:42,500
know what goes on in your
household, but elsewhere, people

15
00:00:42,500 --> 00:00:45,600
actually enjoy this holiday and
so we've enlisted some help

16
00:00:45,600 --> 00:00:48,700
because, you know, Brad and I
can mix up a decent cocktail

17
00:00:48,700 --> 00:00:51,900
here and there we know the
classics but we don't get super

18
00:00:51,900 --> 00:00:53,000
creative yet.
I don't know.

19
00:00:53,000 --> 00:00:55,400
I don't trust myself to Branch
out a lot yet.

20
00:00:55,400 --> 00:00:59,300
Brad and so we have Enlisted,
the help of Fitz Bailey who is

21
00:00:59,300 --> 00:01:03,500
the global Brand ambassador for
Cooper's craft, I've been

22
00:01:03,500 --> 00:01:05,900
following fits on Instagram for
a couple years now.

23
00:01:05,900 --> 00:01:10,300
He just a fantastic content
producer, first of all, but the

24
00:01:10,300 --> 00:01:13,500
drinks that he is consistently
thinking up and making up and

25
00:01:13,500 --> 00:01:16,600
displaying on social media.
I've always wanted to try them

26
00:01:16,600 --> 00:01:18,700
and we're finally going to get
the chance today.

27
00:01:19,000 --> 00:01:23,200
Fits, how are you today?
Bob, I have to say that is

28
00:01:23,300 --> 00:01:25,900
absolutely the best intro I've
ever received.

29
00:01:25,900 --> 00:01:28,700
I thank you so much.
Well, thank you.

30
00:01:29,600 --> 00:01:32,700
I'm I'm doing spectacular.
I hope you all are doing the

31
00:01:32,700 --> 00:01:35,500
same.
We are now because I have tried

32
00:01:35,500 --> 00:01:39,700
one of these three cocktails
that you've given us, and I

33
00:01:39,700 --> 00:01:41,500
think Brad has tried a different
one.

34
00:01:41,500 --> 00:01:45,000
So we've hit two of the three.
The third one is very, very

35
00:01:45,000 --> 00:01:47,200
decadent.
It is a definite dessert

36
00:01:47,200 --> 00:01:48,800
cocktail.
I've just finished dinner.

37
00:01:48,800 --> 00:01:51,600
So I'm ready for that one, too.
We're going to dive into the

38
00:01:51,600 --> 00:01:54,800
cocktails here in just a minute.
But before we get there Fitz,

39
00:01:54,800 --> 00:01:57,000
I'd love for you to just give us
a little bit of background.

40
00:01:57,100 --> 00:01:59,800
We've had a few brand
ambassadors on the show before

41
00:02:00,200 --> 00:02:03,200
And one of the things I really
love about talking to Brand

42
00:02:03,200 --> 00:02:07,600
ambassadors, is the backgrounds?
Y'all come from are just so

43
00:02:07,600 --> 00:02:10,800
vastly different, you know?
Not a lot of you like came up

44
00:02:10,800 --> 00:02:14,200
through the ranks in the spirits
industry, a lot of people, and

45
00:02:14,200 --> 00:02:17,000
we just had one on the show a
few months ago, that was in a

46
00:02:17,008 --> 00:02:19,700
band for a long time.
And so kind of like learned the

47
00:02:19,700 --> 00:02:23,900
world of PR through doing music.
So I'd love to hear your

48
00:02:23,900 --> 00:02:27,300
background your history.
How you got into Cooper's craft

49
00:02:27,300 --> 00:02:29,800
and to where you are today?
Oh, absolutely.

50
00:02:29,900 --> 00:02:31,500
Solutely.
I mean, you are absolutely

51
00:02:31,500 --> 00:02:33,400
correct, though.
Every brand ambassador has a

52
00:02:33,408 --> 00:02:37,600
different story, you know, when
I was in college, I did a little

53
00:02:37,600 --> 00:02:41,500
bartending, but this is back
during the Vodka Wars, you know,

54
00:02:41,500 --> 00:02:44,000
my palate was definitely not
what it is.

55
00:02:44,000 --> 00:02:46,600
Now, I was ordering top-shelf
cake vodka.

56
00:02:46,700 --> 00:02:50,500
I thought I was the coolest
person on the planet and the

57
00:02:50,500 --> 00:02:52,200
drinks.
I were making were like, you

58
00:02:52,200 --> 00:02:55,100
know, vodka crayons maybe a dash
of pineapple.

59
00:02:55,400 --> 00:02:59,100
Nothing big.
But when I got out of college, I

60
00:02:59,100 --> 00:03:01,700
started working.
On there's this thing called the

61
00:03:01,700 --> 00:03:07,400
Jack Daniel's experience.
And it's this 55 foot trailer

62
00:03:07,400 --> 00:03:11,600
that just travels around the
u.s. and they bring a mobile

63
00:03:11,600 --> 00:03:16,400
Distillery to these music
festivals, motorcycle, rallies,

64
00:03:16,400 --> 00:03:18,800
and NASCAR races.
Hmm.

65
00:03:18,800 --> 00:03:23,200
And I basically would be on this
truck and I would tell people

66
00:03:23,400 --> 00:03:27,800
the story of Jack and it was
just it was a really great

67
00:03:27,800 --> 00:03:29,800
experience.
I got to meet so many different.

68
00:03:29,900 --> 00:03:33,300
Folks from all walks of life.
And from that I ended up working

69
00:03:33,300 --> 00:03:37,900
with Zac Brown and I was on tour
with them, for two years, with

70
00:03:37,900 --> 00:03:42,500
Jack Daniels, they had for
several years, something called

71
00:03:42,500 --> 00:03:48,900
the Jack and Zach and they would
do a Eat & Greet and you would

72
00:03:48,900 --> 00:03:52,600
basically by these special
tickets and before the show you,

73
00:03:52,600 --> 00:03:57,300
and I think 100-150 other folks
would eat a home-cooked meal

74
00:03:57,400 --> 00:04:01,100
with Zach and the brand.
And we managed to Jack Daniels

75
00:04:01,100 --> 00:04:04,700
in all the all the food you got
to enjoy.

76
00:04:05,300 --> 00:04:07,300
So I was basically a road dog
for two years.

77
00:04:07,700 --> 00:04:11,400
It was it was really, really
fun, but I want to do a little

78
00:04:11,400 --> 00:04:13,900
bit more.
So I ended up moving to Dallas

79
00:04:13,900 --> 00:04:17,200
to put on like Jack events,
whiskey festivals, all that good

80
00:04:17,200 --> 00:04:19,399
stuff.
And then Cooper's had this

81
00:04:19,399 --> 00:04:24,000
opening, and when I find myself
in Louisville, I work in 26

82
00:04:24,200 --> 00:04:25,900
States.
All across the u.s. talking with

83
00:04:25,900 --> 00:04:29,700
nice folks, about Bourbon and
education, man.

84
00:04:29,900 --> 00:04:32,600
That is so cool and the
connection here, you know, for

85
00:04:32,600 --> 00:04:35,300
those who may not know between
Jack Daniels and Cooper's graph

86
00:04:35,300 --> 00:04:39,300
is that they're both brands in
the portfolio of brown-forman.

87
00:04:39,800 --> 00:04:43,600
And we listen, we get along
quite well with brown-forman on

88
00:04:43,608 --> 00:04:46,200
this podcast, we've had
Jackie's, I can from old

89
00:04:46,200 --> 00:04:48,400
Forester on here.
A number of times, we've had the

90
00:04:48,400 --> 00:04:51,700
master distillers of Woodford on
here a number of times and I got

91
00:04:51,700 --> 00:04:55,800
to say, man, every time you guys
Supply us with some product to

92
00:04:55,800 --> 00:05:00,200
it's like I get giddy, it's like
a kid on Christmas and I I think

93
00:05:00,200 --> 00:05:04,800
that, if I'm being honest, if
there is a slept on brand in the

94
00:05:04,800 --> 00:05:09,100
portfolio, it's Cooper's craft,
like it's widely available.

95
00:05:09,100 --> 00:05:10,700
I always see it at the liquor
store.

96
00:05:11,100 --> 00:05:16,200
It's so affordably priced and
Bob, it's freaking amazing.

97
00:05:16,200 --> 00:05:20,000
It's so good.
Such a girl, just phenomenal

98
00:05:20,000 --> 00:05:21,800
whiskey.
And here's the thing, when we

99
00:05:21,800 --> 00:05:24,500
were like, pricing out whiskies
in the early Seasons when we

100
00:05:24,500 --> 00:05:27,000
were just like self-funding.
Everything we couldn't afford

101
00:05:27,000 --> 00:05:28,400
much, I was like, Cooper's
craft.

102
00:05:28,400 --> 00:05:29,500
That's right up.
Our alley.

103
00:05:30,000 --> 00:05:33,500
And we tried like the Baseline
offering and the hundred proof

104
00:05:33,900 --> 00:05:38,600
and I have to say if if you're
thinking of value in the world

105
00:05:38,600 --> 00:05:42,600
of bourbon, the hundred proof
Cooper's craft might be one of

106
00:05:42,608 --> 00:05:44,800
the best values we've ever had
on the show.

107
00:05:44,800 --> 00:05:47,700
Brad.
Yeah, we, you know, always give

108
00:05:47,700 --> 00:05:51,700
scores for value at the end of
every Whiskey Review, Cooper's

109
00:05:51,700 --> 00:05:55,300
craft is a 10 out of 10.
They're hundred proof is a, it's

110
00:05:55,300 --> 00:05:59,700
easily a knock out of the park.
And man, it's so cheap.

111
00:05:59,800 --> 00:06:01,800
And I don't mean that in a bad
way at all.

112
00:06:01,800 --> 00:06:05,000
It is Affordable.
It's delicious Fitz.

113
00:06:05,000 --> 00:06:06,500
You don't have to do much
selling here.

114
00:06:06,500 --> 00:06:10,100
We're going to do it for ya well
and I'm sure I'm sure you guys

115
00:06:10,100 --> 00:06:14,000
know we we borrowed the master
distiller from Woodford, Chris

116
00:06:14,000 --> 00:06:18,500
Morris to make Cooper's.
Yeah and his vision for that

117
00:06:18,500 --> 00:06:23,900
Barrel Reserve was you should
have a quality bourbon for when

118
00:06:23,900 --> 00:06:25,500
your friends come over, that
doesn't break the bank.

119
00:06:26,000 --> 00:06:28,500
I mean, don't get me wrong,
there are some wonderful,

120
00:06:28,500 --> 00:06:30,700
wonderful products out there
that are That are in that

121
00:06:30,700 --> 00:06:35,800
hundred plus category, but you
know, if Linda from down the

122
00:06:35,808 --> 00:06:38,600
streets coming in for a second
she doesn't need a sip of that

123
00:06:38,600 --> 00:06:42,200
but make a cocktail with this.
You've got something that's

124
00:06:42,300 --> 00:06:44,800
enjoyable.
That doesn't break the bank.

125
00:06:45,100 --> 00:06:47,600
So this Barrel reserve, the
hundred proof that we're trying.

126
00:06:47,600 --> 00:06:52,100
It's one of my favorite just
everyday drinkers because it

127
00:06:52,200 --> 00:06:54,700
absolutely stands up neat.
I'm actually sipping it neat

128
00:06:54,700 --> 00:06:57,700
right now as we talk.
But man, it just makes such a

129
00:06:57,700 --> 00:06:59,600
great cocktail and I don't know
about you.

130
00:06:59,600 --> 00:07:03,600
But Add and fits, but I love
making cocktails with, you know,

131
00:07:03,600 --> 00:07:06,500
overproof Spirits.
I just like a little bit more

132
00:07:06,500 --> 00:07:07,800
bite.
I don't like the dilutions

133
00:07:07,800 --> 00:07:11,600
sometimes and so to have 100
Proof bourbon, I think really

134
00:07:11,600 --> 00:07:16,000
makes just a perfect cocktail
almost every time and so Fitz,

135
00:07:16,000 --> 00:07:18,700
you're going to walk us through
three cocktails here and you

136
00:07:18,700 --> 00:07:21,700
know, we can get into the first
one if you'd like but I'd love

137
00:07:21,700 --> 00:07:25,300
to just hear your thoughts on
this hundred proof bourbon in

138
00:07:25,300 --> 00:07:26,800
general.
Like what are you know, what do

139
00:07:26,808 --> 00:07:28,800
you love about the the flavor of
it?

140
00:07:29,200 --> 00:07:31,200
And also How it stands up in a
cocktail.

141
00:07:31,900 --> 00:07:36,100
So with that Barrel Reserve,
it's just having that hundred

142
00:07:36,100 --> 00:07:38,300
proof.
Really allows you to do so much

143
00:07:38,300 --> 00:07:42,000
more because you have several
schools of thought when it comes

144
00:07:42,000 --> 00:07:45,900
to cocktails, but I agree.
I want to taste some of that

145
00:07:45,900 --> 00:07:49,500
bourbon in there.
I'm not adding a pineapple juice

146
00:07:49,500 --> 00:07:52,900
and Campari to mask the flavor
bourbon.

147
00:07:52,900 --> 00:07:56,200
I want to, you know, bring out
other characteristics and make a

148
00:07:56,200 --> 00:08:00,600
complete package.
So for me, I think having that

149
00:08:00,600 --> 00:08:03,500
hundred proof gives you a little
more flexibility because you can

150
00:08:03,500 --> 00:08:06,100
work with some of those stronger
flavors like you'll see in a

151
00:08:06,100 --> 00:08:09,100
boulevardier which you know, you
have that sweet vermouth and

152
00:08:09,100 --> 00:08:11,100
Campari in there.
And that's that's a lot of

153
00:08:11,100 --> 00:08:14,500
really powerful flavors
happening but when you have that

154
00:08:14,500 --> 00:08:17,300
high proof it's able to stand
out and really shine.

155
00:08:18,200 --> 00:08:21,300
Well if it's as you know we are
we are talking about these

156
00:08:21,300 --> 00:08:24,400
cocktails for Valentine's Day.
We've established your

157
00:08:24,400 --> 00:08:28,700
credentials as to why you are
the perfect man to mix the

158
00:08:28,700 --> 00:08:32,600
spirit for us, but Let's Get
Your Love credentials on onboard

159
00:08:32,600 --> 00:08:35,400
as well.
Like, what makes you the person

160
00:08:35,400 --> 00:08:38,900
to bring on and tell people
about how to drink on the most

161
00:08:38,900 --> 00:08:41,000
important day of Love of the
year?

162
00:08:41,200 --> 00:08:43,200
Did you hold on one sec?
Did you just say love

163
00:08:43,200 --> 00:08:45,300
credentials?
Yes, I did.

164
00:08:45,300 --> 00:08:49,000
Bob, that's a new requirement
for every guest.

165
00:08:53,800 --> 00:08:57,900
I've Loved often, I loved.
Well, I've had my heart broken a

166
00:08:57,900 --> 00:09:01,300
couple times, but you know,
Doing pretty steady these days.

167
00:09:01,300 --> 00:09:04,300
I'd say I've been a pretty
fantastic relationship if I

168
00:09:04,300 --> 00:09:08,200
don't say so myself.
But I always think you should

169
00:09:08,200 --> 00:09:11,400
have a cocktail to celebrate the
moment.

170
00:09:11,400 --> 00:09:14,700
So Valentine's Day you should
have something that kind of

171
00:09:15,800 --> 00:09:18,000
works with the flavors of
Valentine's Day.

172
00:09:18,000 --> 00:09:20,100
When you think of that, you have
your chocolate, you have your

173
00:09:20,100 --> 00:09:24,300
rose, which is why I have this
delicious, a rose grows in,

174
00:09:24,300 --> 00:09:27,800
Kentucky directly all.
Yeah, that is the one that I'm

175
00:09:27,800 --> 00:09:33,400
drinking tonight and I have to
to say it is a phenomenal, Twist

176
00:09:33,500 --> 00:09:37,800
on a pretty classic drink.
I do love a New York's our and

177
00:09:37,800 --> 00:09:40,100
you might have got that from
looking at the recipe.

178
00:09:40,500 --> 00:09:44,800
The saddest saddest I've ever
been was in New York asking

179
00:09:45,000 --> 00:09:48,100
someone to make me a New York's
our and then not knowing what

180
00:09:48,100 --> 00:09:50,700
that was.
It just broke my heart.

181
00:09:52,100 --> 00:09:54,700
I feel like that should be a
requirement just like love

182
00:09:54,700 --> 00:09:57,200
credentials should be required
men, but exactly.

183
00:09:57,200 --> 00:09:59,400
Exactly.
All right fits, let's build this

184
00:09:59,400 --> 00:10:00,100
cocktail.
Loud.

185
00:10:00,100 --> 00:10:02,600
So like you said, it's a
variation on a New York's our

186
00:10:02,900 --> 00:10:05,400
the whiskey sour is just
absolutely one of our favorite

187
00:10:05,400 --> 00:10:07,600
cocktails.
I mean if it ain't broke, don't

188
00:10:07,600 --> 00:10:11,800
fix it and it's just like I make
myself a whiskey sour I'd say,

189
00:10:11,800 --> 00:10:15,400
once every two weeks probably
just always hits the spot and

190
00:10:15,400 --> 00:10:18,100
one of our favorite variations
on that is to put a little red

191
00:10:18,100 --> 00:10:20,500
wine float on top and that's
called a New York's.

192
00:10:20,500 --> 00:10:23,900
Our but fits you've taken a
pretty unique twist here and I

193
00:10:23,908 --> 00:10:26,800
think you've hinted at it with
the title, A Rose grows in

194
00:10:26,800 --> 00:10:29,000
Kentucky.
So what's different about this

195
00:10:29,000 --> 00:10:32,100
one than a And ered New York's
our so usually when you're

196
00:10:32,100 --> 00:10:38,200
making a New York's our you want
a really strong fruity wine, I

197
00:10:38,200 --> 00:10:44,100
like malbecs for myself.
I just love how that the golden

198
00:10:44,100 --> 00:10:46,500
color of the whiskey, sour with
that?

199
00:10:46,500 --> 00:10:51,500
Deep dark red on top looks.
But with this, we are taking out

200
00:10:51,500 --> 00:10:54,700
that Malbec and putting in some
Rose a, hmm?

201
00:10:54,800 --> 00:10:56,500
And I do like to use an egg
white.

202
00:10:56,500 --> 00:10:59,300
I don't know about you guys, not
everyone's comfortable with

203
00:10:59,300 --> 00:11:03,500
having a Egg white in their
cocktail, but I just really love

204
00:11:03,500 --> 00:11:05,800
the mouth feel.
It gives to your drink and

205
00:11:05,800 --> 00:11:08,900
there's just a bit of lightness
that it adds to the cocktail.

206
00:11:09,200 --> 00:11:12,600
Ya know, I, we are 100% with you
on that.

207
00:11:12,600 --> 00:11:16,700
If you have shied away from
adding the egg white into your

208
00:11:16,700 --> 00:11:21,800
sours, whether it's because of
fear of salmonella or just a

209
00:11:21,808 --> 00:11:25,100
nervousness about, you know, how
do I add this to the drink?

210
00:11:25,600 --> 00:11:30,500
It makes your drink silky smooth
and totally A worth the effort

211
00:11:30,500 --> 00:11:32,900
to put in to do it.
And you know now you can get

212
00:11:32,900 --> 00:11:36,400
those pasteurized egg whites.
So there really isn't that

213
00:11:36,400 --> 00:11:39,000
concern of salmonella.
So absolutely, if you're

214
00:11:39,000 --> 00:11:41,700
comfortable with it, you should
absolutely play around with it.

215
00:11:42,000 --> 00:11:42,900
All right.
So why don't we walk through the

216
00:11:42,908 --> 00:11:44,900
recipe itself?
For those following along at

217
00:11:44,900 --> 00:11:47,800
home, Fitz, you are the
mixologist here.

218
00:11:47,800 --> 00:11:50,500
I'll let you walk us through the
recipe and the build here.

219
00:11:50,900 --> 00:11:53,900
All right, so you're going to
need to grab a bottle of

220
00:11:53,900 --> 00:11:57,800
Cooper's craft Barrel reserve, a
little bit of simple syrup some

221
00:11:57,800 --> 00:11:59,600
lemon juice fresh if you can
manage.

222
00:11:59,800 --> 00:12:04,800
Inch that egg white and a little
Rose egg and we're going to take

223
00:12:04,900 --> 00:12:08,100
our egg whites and we are going
to add them to a Shaker and we

224
00:12:08,100 --> 00:12:11,300
were just going to shake the
heck out of these things.

225
00:12:12,000 --> 00:12:13,900
When you're shaking these egg
whites, you're causing the

226
00:12:13,900 --> 00:12:16,800
proteins, in them to break down
and that's what's going to give

227
00:12:16,800 --> 00:12:21,000
it that nice frothy head.
So just give it a really hard,

228
00:12:21,000 --> 00:12:24,800
shake about 60 seconds.
Should be good, and if you don't

229
00:12:24,800 --> 00:12:27,200
like shaking, I'll tell you a
little hack.

230
00:12:27,200 --> 00:12:29,400
I use a little lot, a foamer.
Hmm.

231
00:12:29,400 --> 00:12:33,000
Like A little milk foamer and I
will just use that and it will

232
00:12:33,200 --> 00:12:36,500
do everything you need without
having to sprain your wrist for

233
00:12:36,500 --> 00:12:39,400
shaking.
Now, I added him really that is

234
00:12:39,400 --> 00:12:42,100
super brilliant actually, and it
inspires questions in me now,

235
00:12:42,100 --> 00:12:44,700
but I have to ask you.
So, I am not vegan.

236
00:12:44,700 --> 00:12:46,100
I use the egg white all the
time.

237
00:12:46,100 --> 00:12:50,400
I know that people like to use
aquafaba in place of egg whites,

238
00:12:50,500 --> 00:12:53,000
I've never tried it.
And to be honest with you, like

239
00:12:53,000 --> 00:12:56,000
it just doesn't sound super
appealing to me, but I'm sure

240
00:12:56,000 --> 00:12:59,000
you've mixed with it before.
Can you notice a difference in

241
00:12:59,000 --> 00:13:01,300
flavor?
When you Is aquafaba as opposed

242
00:13:01,300 --> 00:13:04,800
to an egg white.
So the big thing when using

243
00:13:04,800 --> 00:13:08,000
aquafaba is you're going to have
to shake it a little bit longer.

244
00:13:09,100 --> 00:13:12,700
The nice thing about it is with
egg whites.

245
00:13:12,700 --> 00:13:15,600
Sometimes if the drink warms up
a little bit, you can get some

246
00:13:15,600 --> 00:13:19,100
of those sulfur smells which are
not great, right?

247
00:13:19,500 --> 00:13:22,000
That's rare but you really don't
have that at all with the

248
00:13:22,000 --> 00:13:26,200
aquafaba and I don't know if
you've ever had a friend who's

249
00:13:26,300 --> 00:13:29,000
brought you like a vegan
cheesecake or something and said

250
00:13:29,000 --> 00:13:30,000
oh it's so.
Oh good.

251
00:13:30,000 --> 00:13:33,400
You can't tell it's vegan.
It's kind of like that.

252
00:13:33,500 --> 00:13:40,300
I hate saying it like that, but
you wouldn't know, unless

253
00:13:40,300 --> 00:13:42,900
someone went out of their way to
be like, oh, there's no egg

254
00:13:42,900 --> 00:13:44,800
whites in this, we use aquafaba
dnesday.

255
00:13:44,800 --> 00:13:46,300
Yeah, well.
And you know, I don't think

256
00:13:46,300 --> 00:13:49,000
we've ever actually talked about
aquafaba on the show Brad but

257
00:13:49,400 --> 00:13:53,400
they call it aquafaba because
calling it chickpea juice sounds

258
00:13:53,400 --> 00:13:56,200
a little doesn't sound quite as
appealing, but it's literally

259
00:13:56,200 --> 00:13:59,100
like if you open a can of
chickpeas, the water that they

260
00:13:59,100 --> 00:14:03,100
pack the These in is aquafaba,
just strain it out, and you can

261
00:14:03,100 --> 00:14:05,500
use it.
I think it has good.

262
00:14:05,500 --> 00:14:09,900
I think you just prevented
anyone from ever using aquafaba

263
00:14:09,900 --> 00:14:12,300
in a mixed drink, this?
Alright, my thought process was

264
00:14:12,300 --> 00:14:14,700
like, oh, if anyone is on the
fence, about egg white, we'll

265
00:14:14,700 --> 00:14:17,500
just tell them that they could
use chickpea runoff instead, and

266
00:14:17,508 --> 00:14:18,800
then they'll be like, nah, I'm
good.

267
00:14:18,800 --> 00:14:21,700
I'll use the egg white that.
Yeah, that's a good idea.

268
00:14:21,800 --> 00:14:23,700
Just some Bean Juice.
That's all it is.

269
00:14:24,600 --> 00:14:27,400
Absolutely.
So we're going to put the the

270
00:14:27,400 --> 00:14:29,600
full recipes and exact amounts
and picture.

271
00:14:29,700 --> 00:14:32,100
Sirs links to pictures of these
cocktails in our show notes

272
00:14:32,100 --> 00:14:33,300
today.
So if you don't catch them, the

273
00:14:33,300 --> 00:14:36,300
first time, we go through, they
will all be in the show notes.

274
00:14:36,900 --> 00:14:39,300
I have to ask fits before we
move on from this one.

275
00:14:39,600 --> 00:14:42,100
A lot of rows a that you pick up
at the grocery store, especially

276
00:14:42,100 --> 00:14:46,200
on the, more inexpensive side is
sparkling rose, a, I just need

277
00:14:46,200 --> 00:14:47,900
to make sure like a reusing a
sparkling here.

278
00:14:47,900 --> 00:14:49,800
We're using a flat.
Just a flat.

279
00:14:49,800 --> 00:14:50,800
Yes.
Got it.

280
00:14:50,900 --> 00:14:53,000
Let's save the sparkling for for
later.

281
00:14:54,700 --> 00:14:56,400
What it is always something to
toast.

282
00:14:56,500 --> 00:14:58,700
Yeah absolutely.
Alright let's move into the

283
00:14:58,700 --> 00:15:01,400
second cocktail.
Because this is another take on

284
00:15:01,400 --> 00:15:05,100
a really classic whiskey
cocktail, the boulevardier, and

285
00:15:05,100 --> 00:15:07,900
we have not done the
boulevardier on our how-to

286
00:15:07,900 --> 00:15:10,800
cocktail episodes yet, because
we haven't really gotten into

287
00:15:10,800 --> 00:15:14,300
the category of a Mari.
So you may have heard of an

288
00:15:14,300 --> 00:15:17,100
Amaro before.
There's very, very famous ones

289
00:15:17,100 --> 00:15:20,000
out there that you can find in
any liquor store like Campari or

290
00:15:20,000 --> 00:15:24,200
a parole.
It's a category of very bitter

291
00:15:24,300 --> 00:15:28,700
Liquors that really help round
out the flavor of a lot of

292
00:15:28,700 --> 00:15:32,800
cocktails and the boulevardier
is probably the most famous one

293
00:15:32,900 --> 00:15:37,900
that utilizes whiskey and Fitz
has just an absolutely delicious

294
00:15:37,900 --> 00:15:40,800
take on the boulevardier for us
today for Valentine's Day.

295
00:15:41,300 --> 00:15:43,600
Thanks, this is pretty
fantastic.

296
00:15:43,600 --> 00:15:46,400
If you have not looked up the
boulevardier, you're in for a

297
00:15:46,408 --> 00:15:50,000
treat because the history is
just super rich for this.

298
00:15:50,000 --> 00:15:55,000
Drink came out of the probation
bar in Paris called Harry's, New

299
00:15:55,000 --> 00:15:57,500
York Bar.
It still stands to this day, so

300
00:15:57,500 --> 00:15:58,700
y'all should definitely check it
out.

301
00:15:58,700 --> 00:16:01,500
But with this, this, we're going
to go ahead and take some of

302
00:16:01,508 --> 00:16:05,500
that excess Valentine's Day
chocolate and just melt it down.

303
00:16:05,500 --> 00:16:09,800
And we're going to rim some nice
rocks, glasses with that.

304
00:16:09,900 --> 00:16:13,200
And as we are rolling, these
glasses in this nice, warm

305
00:16:13,200 --> 00:16:15,500
chocolate.
We're going to take the glass.

306
00:16:15,500 --> 00:16:18,100
And before that chocolate
hardens, we're going to roll it

307
00:16:18,100 --> 00:16:21,900
in some powdered graham cracker
because we are trying to channel

308
00:16:22,200 --> 00:16:25,400
s'mores for this.
Salty s'mores boulevardier.

309
00:16:26,400 --> 00:16:30,200
So once we've got that all done,
we're going to grab our shaker.

310
00:16:30,500 --> 00:16:34,100
We're going to put in our
Cooper's Barrel, Reserve, 1.5

311
00:16:34,100 --> 00:16:37,500
ounces and then one ounce of
Campari and an ounce of sweet

312
00:16:37,500 --> 00:16:41,100
vermouth.
Then half an ounce of creme de

313
00:16:41,108 --> 00:16:45,500
cacao three dashes of chocolate
Bitters and just the tiniest

314
00:16:45,500 --> 00:16:50,400
pinch of sea salt.
Add a little ice, stir that all

315
00:16:50,400 --> 00:16:53,800
up, so it's nice and frothy.
And then what we're going to do

316
00:16:53,800 --> 00:16:58,300
is grab a couple marshmallows
light These bad boys on fire and

317
00:16:58,300 --> 00:17:01,500
we're going to cover that with
our rocks, glass that has the

318
00:17:01,500 --> 00:17:04,099
melted chocolate and the graham
cracker on it.

319
00:17:04,099 --> 00:17:08,700
So it captures the smoke from
these burning marshmallows once

320
00:17:08,700 --> 00:17:11,700
we got that in there.
Flip the glass around poor

321
00:17:11,700 --> 00:17:16,500
cocktail in and enjoy.
And I did my friend because this

322
00:17:16,500 --> 00:17:19,200
thing is so good.
And I have to say, like, you

323
00:17:19,200 --> 00:17:22,000
know, we made two of them.
One for my wife, one for me, and

324
00:17:22,000 --> 00:17:25,500
we did one with the garnish and
one without and sometimes I feel

325
00:17:25,500 --> 00:17:28,600
like With with cocktails like
this that are very, very

326
00:17:28,600 --> 00:17:32,800
decadent that they people can
try to distract you with the

327
00:17:32,800 --> 00:17:36,100
garnish, but I really do feel
like the garnish adds a

328
00:17:36,100 --> 00:17:39,800
different layer to this cocktail
that graham cracker flavor and

329
00:17:39,800 --> 00:17:42,600
just a little bit of texture
there that you don't get without

330
00:17:42,600 --> 00:17:45,600
the garnish.
But the drink absolutely stands

331
00:17:45,600 --> 00:17:47,900
up on its own to with or without
the garnish.

332
00:17:48,100 --> 00:17:52,300
I was going to say Bob, I think
that really a lot of garnishes

333
00:17:52,600 --> 00:17:55,000
when they're just set on top of
a drink.

334
00:17:55,000 --> 00:17:58,600
Usually that's Just for looks,
but I feel like, you know,

335
00:17:58,600 --> 00:18:03,000
Tequila shouldn't have the, the,
the corner on the market when it

336
00:18:03,000 --> 00:18:08,600
comes to rimming glasses because
when you Rim things like you

337
00:18:08,600 --> 00:18:10,700
literally have to drink through
it.

338
00:18:10,700 --> 00:18:12,600
And I think that's the beauty of
this drink.

339
00:18:12,600 --> 00:18:16,100
As you get a large part of that
s'mores experience through the

340
00:18:16,100 --> 00:18:18,000
rim.
I mean, if it's you can tell me

341
00:18:18,000 --> 00:18:20,600
if I'm wrong but that seems to
be the case here.

342
00:18:20,800 --> 00:18:23,200
No, that was absolutely the plan
with this.

343
00:18:23,500 --> 00:18:26,500
I actually really like when I
make this drink for For the

344
00:18:26,500 --> 00:18:30,900
first time I only Rim one side.
So they get to experience it

345
00:18:30,900 --> 00:18:33,300
both ways.
And it is a noticeable

346
00:18:33,300 --> 00:18:36,500
difference having that whiskey
flow over the chocolate.

347
00:18:36,600 --> 00:18:39,200
Yeah, fits.
And as I'm as I'm sitting here

348
00:18:39,200 --> 00:18:43,200
thinking about, like all the
thought that goes into this, I'm

349
00:18:43,200 --> 00:18:46,700
just curious, like for the
average consumer who's out there

350
00:18:46,700 --> 00:18:51,400
and it's like yeah I can make a
whiskey sour, I can make a gold

351
00:18:51,400 --> 00:18:53,600
rush.
I can I can do things that are

352
00:18:53,600 --> 00:18:57,500
basic but I want to Branch out
and And make up my own drinks.

353
00:18:57,500 --> 00:19:00,700
So that you know when I
entertain friends I can come up

354
00:19:00,700 --> 00:19:04,100
with a name and come up with a
drink on my own like what's your

355
00:19:04,100 --> 00:19:09,900
process like you are the expert
upon experts here at just making

356
00:19:09,900 --> 00:19:11,900
up new crap in the whiskey
world.

357
00:19:12,200 --> 00:19:14,800
So like what's your process for
thinking of a new drink?

358
00:19:14,800 --> 00:19:17,900
Do you start with like a flavor
in mind, you start with a

359
00:19:18,300 --> 00:19:21,100
another whiskey drink and think
about how you can twist it.

360
00:19:21,100 --> 00:19:24,200
Like, where are you at?
When you're thinking, when

361
00:19:24,200 --> 00:19:26,600
you're feeling creative and just
saying yourself, Let's make

362
00:19:26,600 --> 00:19:29,400
something new.
So, it's funny.

363
00:19:30,100 --> 00:19:34,300
The first thing I actually start
with is I look at the calendar.

364
00:19:35,700 --> 00:19:40,100
I, I used to in college, I had a
professor who would send out all

365
00:19:40,100 --> 00:19:44,000
of those weird national
holidays, like, oh, today's

366
00:19:44,000 --> 00:19:47,600
national Pete's today.
And, you know, so forth to

367
00:19:47,600 --> 00:19:51,700
tomorrow is official apple
picking day and I look at the

368
00:19:51,700 --> 00:19:56,300
calendar and try to find some of
the holidays that are just Kind

369
00:19:56,300 --> 00:20:00,300
of weird like that coming up.
And if I see one that just sort

370
00:20:00,300 --> 00:20:03,500
of spark something I tried to
build a drink around that.

371
00:20:04,600 --> 00:20:10,200
So, for example, like last fall
for National cheese day, I did a

372
00:20:10,200 --> 00:20:15,200
cocktail inspired by a cheese
board, the last Breeze of

373
00:20:15,200 --> 00:20:17,500
Summer, bertino.
You've got me.

374
00:20:17,500 --> 00:20:21,600
I'm in, let's let's do it.
It's pretty fantastic.

375
00:20:21,600 --> 00:20:25,200
It was this is also the barrel
Reserve orange.

376
00:20:25,200 --> 00:20:28,800
Simple syrup.
Fig preserves apple cider.

377
00:20:29,200 --> 00:20:32,200
And then we're gets weird a
little dash of balsamic vinegar.

378
00:20:33,400 --> 00:20:36,000
And then a bit of sparkling
water just to sort of balance it

379
00:20:36,000 --> 00:20:37,000
all out.
Fitz.

380
00:20:37,200 --> 00:20:39,500
I need you to email me that
because that sounds.

381
00:20:40,000 --> 00:20:42,900
I'm on the tube as you said, but
balsamic vinegar.

382
00:20:42,900 --> 00:20:46,300
I was like, oh, I'm in this
sounds weird, and under second,

383
00:20:46,700 --> 00:20:49,200
it's really tasty.
And I'll tell you what, when I'm

384
00:20:49,200 --> 00:20:53,400
making these drinks, I try
really hard to make drinks that

385
00:20:53,400 --> 00:20:57,300
you could make it home.
You know, again, there's

386
00:20:57,300 --> 00:21:00,500
balsamic vinegar in it, but that
is something you should be able

387
00:21:00,500 --> 00:21:03,600
to grab when I do simple.
Syrups like, I use an orange

388
00:21:03,600 --> 00:21:06,200
juice.
Simple syrup, in that that's not

389
00:21:06,200 --> 00:21:08,600
too difficult to make.
Most, folks can take a cup of

390
00:21:08,600 --> 00:21:11,000
sugar and a cup of orange juice
and simmer that together.

391
00:21:11,000 --> 00:21:15,200
So, I really want to make these
cocktails approachable for

392
00:21:15,200 --> 00:21:16,800
anyone.
I don't know, man.

393
00:21:16,800 --> 00:21:18,500
That that sounds pretty
difficult.

394
00:21:18,600 --> 00:21:21,300
I don't know if filming whiskey
Nation can handle that.

395
00:21:22,400 --> 00:21:26,400
I'll send you the info for that.
You let me know, maybe, Then I

396
00:21:26,400 --> 00:21:29,000
can make one for you.
I appreciate that.

397
00:21:29,800 --> 00:21:32,400
Well, fits before we get into
this last cocktail, you have for

398
00:21:32,400 --> 00:21:34,700
us today.
You are a guest on the film and

399
00:21:34,700 --> 00:21:38,500
whiskey podcast and we have not.
This is a brad, I think this is

400
00:21:38,508 --> 00:21:40,800
the first time we've ever
sprung, this on a guest

401
00:21:41,000 --> 00:21:43,100
Midstream here, completely
unaware.

402
00:21:43,100 --> 00:21:45,500
Completely unaware, they're
welcome Fitz.

403
00:21:45,500 --> 00:21:47,100
Fitz.
We'd like to hear.

404
00:21:47,500 --> 00:21:50,500
If you would reveal to our
listeners, what's your favorite

405
00:21:50,500 --> 00:21:55,900
movie and why?
Oh, no question favorite.

406
00:21:56,100 --> 00:22:00,500
Movie of all time is 1993,
Steven Spielberg's Jurassic

407
00:22:00,500 --> 00:22:03,400
Park.
Hey, let's go, man.

408
00:22:03,900 --> 00:22:08,400
That is so my family and I, we
watch that movie every year for

409
00:22:08,400 --> 00:22:13,500
Thanksgiving, it does not get
old because they use those

410
00:22:13,500 --> 00:22:16,000
animatronics.
A lot of it still holds up to

411
00:22:16,000 --> 00:22:21,200
this day, those Raptors are
terrifying and the score for

412
00:22:21,200 --> 00:22:23,800
that movie.
I mean, that's kind of up there

413
00:22:23,800 --> 00:22:25,800
in Jaws almost.
That's course, just so

414
00:22:25,800 --> 00:22:26,800
fantastic.
Oh yeah.

415
00:22:27,600 --> 00:22:28,700
Yeah.
You know, I was, I've been

416
00:22:28,700 --> 00:22:31,200
watching the Winter Olympics a
little bit and they keep playing

417
00:22:31,200 --> 00:22:32,900
this commercial where I don't
know.

418
00:22:32,900 --> 00:22:36,000
It's like skiers are interacting
with dinosaurs from Jurassic

419
00:22:36,000 --> 00:22:38,700
Park and its side first.
I don't understand the premise

420
00:22:38,700 --> 00:22:42,100
of this commercial but the
dinosaurs look terrible.

421
00:22:42,200 --> 00:22:45,400
And I feel like we're 30 years
on from the first Jurassic Park

422
00:22:45,500 --> 00:22:49,000
and they are just not getting
the memo that the reason the

423
00:22:49,000 --> 00:22:52,500
dinosaurs hold up.
So well is because Spielberg

424
00:22:52,500 --> 00:22:57,900
used the CGI sow sparingly and
then You know, the the T-Rex

425
00:22:57,900 --> 00:23:01,500
Paddock scene is like one of the
best horror set pieces I've ever

426
00:23:01,500 --> 00:23:04,100
seen.
And again, the reason at the CGI

427
00:23:04,100 --> 00:23:06,600
looks so good is because they
put a layer of rain in front of

428
00:23:06,600 --> 00:23:08,500
it.
You can hardly see the thing and

429
00:23:08,500 --> 00:23:12,400
because of that like your mind
is filling in the gaps and I

430
00:23:12,408 --> 00:23:17,800
think that like it is such a
feat of action filmmaking and

431
00:23:17,800 --> 00:23:21,600
the the effects hold up better.
30 years later than, you know,

432
00:23:21,600 --> 00:23:23,900
Jurassic world did.
And that movie is only 10 years

433
00:23:23,900 --> 00:23:29,200
old, the Jurassic World.
You know, that was really a love

434
00:23:29,200 --> 00:23:32,000
letter but that original, I
mean, how can you beat it?

435
00:23:33,000 --> 00:23:36,300
The thing about Jurassic Park is
that it's a perfect movie.

436
00:23:36,800 --> 00:23:39,100
Like I don't really know how
else to talk about it.

437
00:23:39,200 --> 00:23:42,300
I've told Brad before, it might
be my favorite movie of all

438
00:23:42,300 --> 00:23:45,700
time, and I've actually been
like, hanging onto it.

439
00:23:45,900 --> 00:23:48,400
We haven't done it on the
podcast yet because I want to, I

440
00:23:48,400 --> 00:23:52,600
want to build to something in
our later Seasons, but fits you

441
00:23:52,600 --> 00:23:55,500
have an open invitation, if
you'd like to join us when we do

442
00:23:55,500 --> 00:23:58,400
the Jurassic Park episode, like
the seat is open, my friend.

443
00:23:58,900 --> 00:24:02,600
I have been debating on doing a
John Hammond costume.

444
00:24:02,800 --> 00:24:07,800
Umm for years now.
So if you let me know, I will I

445
00:24:07,800 --> 00:24:12,900
will die my beard white and find
find an Amber encased mosquito.

446
00:24:13,700 --> 00:24:16,600
You have to say spared no,
expense, like six times in the

447
00:24:16,600 --> 00:24:20,800
episode.
Maybe that's the cocktail named

448
00:24:20,800 --> 00:24:22,800
I'll come up with for it.
Oh my gosh.

449
00:24:22,800 --> 00:24:24,800
Oh, I don't want to know what's
going into that.

450
00:24:24,800 --> 00:24:28,300
Cocks are no expense or life,
finds a way.

451
00:24:28,300 --> 00:24:29,800
We've got a couple good ones in
there.

452
00:24:29,800 --> 00:24:32,100
Yeah, for sure there's a lot of
good cocktail names.

453
00:24:32,100 --> 00:24:34,800
I was going to say, The the only
requirement for you to come back

454
00:24:34,800 --> 00:24:39,200
on the podcast would be
dinosaur-themed, mixed drinks.

455
00:24:39,300 --> 00:24:41,500
Mmm.
So if we if he does John Hammond

456
00:24:41,500 --> 00:24:44,000
I'm going to do shirtless
Goldblum that's going to be my

457
00:24:44,000 --> 00:24:47,200
look I will make a cocktail
called the shirtless Goldblum

458
00:24:47,200 --> 00:24:49,700
to.
Yeah and I'll do the young child

459
00:24:49,700 --> 00:24:53,400
that just keeps bothering
what's-his-face the whole movie

460
00:24:55,200 --> 00:24:57,100
Alright we are we are way off
track here.

461
00:24:57,100 --> 00:25:00,200
Talking about shirtless Goldblum
and everything else is so fits.

462
00:25:00,200 --> 00:25:02,500
Let's get back to Valentine's
Day.

463
00:25:02,700 --> 00:25:06,400
Yes well you have one more
cocktail for us today and man.

464
00:25:06,400 --> 00:25:10,900
Oh man this thing is fantastic
looking and this is again, this

465
00:25:10,900 --> 00:25:14,800
is like your after dinner.
Go all in on the decadent

466
00:25:14,800 --> 00:25:17,600
dessert cocktail.
Can you reveal to us what it is?

467
00:25:18,000 --> 00:25:22,500
So this is the Frozen boar
bourbon s'mores cocktail.

468
00:25:23,000 --> 00:25:26,600
Josh, I am I'm a huge desert fan
and this you're absolutely

469
00:25:26,600 --> 00:25:28,400
right.
This is very, very rich.

470
00:25:28,400 --> 00:25:33,600
I would not recommend drinking
more than one of these for this

471
00:25:33,600 --> 00:25:35,100
one.
You're also you're going to do

472
00:25:35,100 --> 00:25:37,800
some more rimming, we're going
to get our glass and put some

473
00:25:37,800 --> 00:25:41,700
marshmallow fluff on there, some
more of those graham crackers.

474
00:25:42,300 --> 00:25:47,100
And then for this recipe, we
need a couple of marshmallows.

475
00:25:47,300 --> 00:25:51,900
Probably to is good, 3
tablespoons of marshmallow fluff

476
00:25:52,400 --> 00:25:55,100
just have some extra Crackers on
the side.

477
00:25:55,100 --> 00:25:59,400
She never know when you're going
to need them half a cup of dark,

478
00:25:59,400 --> 00:26:04,400
chocolate cocoa powder, fourth
cup of milk and you could really

479
00:26:04,400 --> 00:26:07,800
use whatever milk you want.
I like to use whole milk because

480
00:26:08,100 --> 00:26:10,900
if I'm going to be bad I want to
be bad all the way they got

481
00:26:10,900 --> 00:26:14,300
them.
Feel free to use, you know, oh

482
00:26:14,300 --> 00:26:18,400
look silk whatever you want.
And then we're going to using a

483
00:26:18,500 --> 00:26:22,200
two shots of Cooper's craft
Barrel Reserve, if there's a

484
00:26:22,208 --> 00:26:26,100
quote from this episode, it's if
I'm going to be bad, I'm going

485
00:26:26,100 --> 00:26:30,200
to be bad all the way just
discussing whole milk.

486
00:26:30,300 --> 00:26:33,000
That's right, that's right.
That's how you know you've

487
00:26:33,000 --> 00:26:37,500
reached Peak adulthood is like
with when the the worst most bad

488
00:26:37,500 --> 00:26:40,800
thing that you can do is like,
I'm drinking whole milk, not 2%.

489
00:26:40,800 --> 00:26:42,400
I'm gonna be bad tonight and
dip.

490
00:26:42,400 --> 00:26:46,500
My chocolate chip, cookies, and
whole milk, and not 2%.

491
00:26:46,800 --> 00:26:51,800
They never saw it coming.
All right, fits before we let

492
00:26:51,800 --> 00:26:53,800
you go today.
You know, we're making these

493
00:26:53,800 --> 00:26:57,900
cocktails For Valentine's Day.
I am going to try to Cozy up and

494
00:26:57,900 --> 00:27:00,400
watch a good movie.
After my Valentines Day meal and

495
00:27:00,400 --> 00:27:02,800
cocktail, is there a Valentine's
movie?

496
00:27:02,800 --> 00:27:05,700
That is going on at your house?
Hold on Valentine's Day.

497
00:27:06,400 --> 00:27:13,500
So I have to confess when it
comes to ridiculous, rom-coms

498
00:27:13,500 --> 00:27:18,500
like the crazier, the better.
So the one that kind of has a

499
00:27:18,500 --> 00:27:23,600
soft spot in my heart is Ghosts
of Girlfriends Past, with just

500
00:27:23,600 --> 00:27:25,600
for gardener ER, and Matthew
McConaughey.

501
00:27:26,000 --> 00:27:28,300
Oh yeah, this and that is
ridiculous.

502
00:27:28,400 --> 00:27:32,300
Oh, this is not top quality
acting but it is such a fun

503
00:27:32,300 --> 00:27:37,100
movie.
It's it's, it's just kind of its

504
00:27:37,100 --> 00:27:38,500
cheeky.
It's goofy.

505
00:27:38,800 --> 00:27:42,700
I do like the Ebenezer Scrooge
kind of story of it and just

506
00:27:42,700 --> 00:27:45,200
some light music.
That's a great one Brad.

507
00:27:45,200 --> 00:27:47,100
And I actually just finished
watching, it's not a romantic

508
00:27:47,100 --> 00:27:50,000
comedy, but we just finished
watching the movie About Time

509
00:27:50,100 --> 00:27:54,100
For an upcoming episode and that
is like, man.

510
00:27:54,300 --> 00:27:57,700
It's a romantic movie that I
feel like is just totally under

511
00:27:57,700 --> 00:28:01,300
seen and I just love it when you
return to familiar movies like

512
00:28:01,300 --> 00:28:02,500
this.
I know a lot of people love

513
00:28:02,500 --> 00:28:04,900
revisiting The Notebook every
year.

514
00:28:05,200 --> 00:28:08,300
Brad, and I are always touting
When Harry Met Sally, it's like

515
00:28:08,300 --> 00:28:11,600
it's a uncoiled classic and
there's a reason that yeah I was

516
00:28:11,600 --> 00:28:14,500
about to bring that up.
Bob When Harry Met Sally dude

517
00:28:14,500 --> 00:28:17,500
everybody needs to see it.
I don't know if I've ever had a

518
00:28:17,500 --> 00:28:20,900
greater success rate in
recommending, a movie to people

519
00:28:21,200 --> 00:28:24,100
than When Harry Met Sally it's
just like it hits.

520
00:28:24,200 --> 00:28:27,200
It checks every box.
Everyone is always satisfied

521
00:28:27,200 --> 00:28:30,200
walking away from that movie.
So, you know, let's let's we'll

522
00:28:30,200 --> 00:28:32,900
start with some girls Ghosts of
Girlfriends Past.

523
00:28:33,100 --> 00:28:35,900
If you guys are feeling up to a
second movie throw on When Harry

524
00:28:35,900 --> 00:28:39,500
Met Sally, it's a perfect night
for it and maybe don't feel

525
00:28:39,500 --> 00:28:41,200
scared to switch the order
around.

526
00:28:48,000 --> 00:28:51,200
I think Ghosts of Girlfriends
Past, will be better after you

527
00:28:51,200 --> 00:28:53,000
have these cocktails.
There it is.

528
00:28:53,500 --> 00:28:56,100
I like a guy that that's honest
about his movie recommendations.

529
00:28:56,100 --> 00:28:59,100
That's, that's a refreshing.
Take right there and and

530
00:28:59,100 --> 00:29:00,800
honestly, there's no problem
with that.

531
00:29:00,800 --> 00:29:03,900
There are some movies that are
better with a group of good

532
00:29:03,900 --> 00:29:06,000
friends and a few drinks in your
belly.

533
00:29:07,600 --> 00:29:11,100
Well fits Bailey, we are just so
grateful that you came on the

534
00:29:11,100 --> 00:29:12,900
podcast today.
We've been trying to get

535
00:29:12,900 --> 00:29:16,000
Cooper's back on the podcast.
I think we tried it Brad in like

536
00:29:16,000 --> 00:29:18,400
season one.
We're in season five now.

537
00:29:18,500 --> 00:29:20,700
Yeah, I'm just in a while.
I need to find a way to get you

538
00:29:20,700 --> 00:29:23,600
guys back on here.
And so this was just a

539
00:29:23,800 --> 00:29:26,500
serendipitous man.
We are so happy to try these

540
00:29:26,500 --> 00:29:29,800
Valentine's cocktails.
I cannot recommend this Barrel

541
00:29:29,800 --> 00:29:34,100
Reserve highly enough.
It is like one of the best $30

542
00:29:34,100 --> 00:29:36,100
you can spend in the world of
whiskey.

543
00:29:36,500 --> 00:29:39,700
And Fitz is just one of the best
guys we can talk to in the world

544
00:29:39,700 --> 00:29:40,600
of whiskey.
I do.

545
00:29:40,600 --> 00:29:43,700
Hope you'll join us again for
that Jurassic Park episode, you

546
00:29:43,700 --> 00:29:47,600
know, in season to be determined
but fits, thank you again for

547
00:29:47,608 --> 00:29:50,400
coming on the show today, guys.
Thank you so much for having me.

548
00:29:50,400 --> 00:29:53,500
It was an absolute pleasure and
I just really appreciate y'all

549
00:29:53,500 --> 00:29:55,800
thinking of us.
Thank you will be back on Monday

550
00:29:55,800 --> 00:29:59,400
with another regularly scheduled
episode but until then I'm Bob

551
00:29:59,400 --> 00:30:02,200
book, I'm Brad G and we'll see
you next time.
